Love the mountain! It tends to get crazy busy here so parking and lift lines get a lil ridiculous but super fun place
They made so many mistakes with my kids' ski school reservations. The food is terrible, bad even by ski resort standards and all the restaurantsclose before even the slopes. What are we supposed to do for food and drink after an exhausting day of skiing? I'd much rather go to Snoqualmie or Baker.
Facilities, staff, conditions were excellent, parking was a ridiculous. All lots were full by 8 am.
If going, plan on taking a bus!
Snow was nice, first thing. Got warmer and slushy towards noon. Can't complain; it is April 15th.
I may be a little bit skewed coming from a much flatter part of the country, but Steven's pass ski resort is one of the most amazing ski mountains that I've ever been to. Deep pow, great quality snow, and amazing runs make Steven's my favorite mountain within a reasonable distance from Seattle. That being said, don't expect a posh resort town or amenities. This place is rugged, raw, and everything I would want for a hardcore day in the snow.
Pretty fun, but very crowded now and expensive for what you get.
Parking lots weren't full even though attendants tried to turn us away.
Love this place!! Great ski area and staff is so friendly
Well organized. Great prices on rentals, lift tickets and lessons.
Of all the options for ski resorts in Washington, Stevens Pass is my favorite place. They compete with Crystal, Baker, and Snoqualmie. Crystal has more acreage and better facilities. Baker gets more snow. Snoqualmie barely competes with any of the above. Stevens has the best terrain park, they're second in snowfall, size and facilities. They also maintain colder temperatures than the others preserving the snow. There are plenty of options for any skill level. The lifts move fast and you can get in loads of runs. It's rarely overcrowded. The staff is awesome.
I had a great time skiing and snowboarding here. The staff are all amazing and helpful. That said, the mountain is not very large and the diversity of trails is pretty low. It was also really foggy the entire time on one side of the mountain which made it fairly difficult to stick with a group or sometimes to even see where you're going next.
Great skiing, mediocre food, good beer, busy on the weekends.
Good mountain for groomer runs. Can be crowded, esp on weekends. Price used to be better, but has been creeping up. Still not as expensive as Crystal, but also not as big.
One of the best places to hit the slopes! Traffic is always pretty bad up and down the mountain, but that's to be expected. Parking is usually packed, so carpool and get to the mountain early (by 9!) if you want a good parking spot. Make sure you follow all weather and traffic advisories and always carry chains just in case.
Possibly my favorite Washington resort to ride. 90 min from Seattle. Lots of options on the hill. And if you like the rough stuff, head for the backside.
After a day in the snow, make sure to hit that coffee shack off highway 2 near before the turn off for Index. Great coffee.
Shred the Gnar BRO! This year has been one of the best seasons and stevens pass is the place to go! There is plenty to do for everyone of all skill levels and the backside is relatively quiet since it is for the more advanced riders.
Crowded and they are doing a terrible job with managing their parking lots, extremely icy to the point of hazard. They do a nice job with customer service on the mountain and support kids and adaptive ski programs, which not every mountain does as well as they do. They need to work on lift line management... it's amazing that Vail bought them and they can't get employees to keep the lifts loading smoothly.
Mid week always a good time. Friendly staff and great job grooming
We only did learning area and greens (Daisy), as we are beginners. But even Daisy lift was super long and lines were pretty short. Great time! Finding the place for lessons was a little confusing. But despite our confusion, the staff helped us get another lesson when we missed our 10am lesson and also helped us clear up some misunderstanding. Looks for the staff in orange jacket for help.
Little overpriced and I wonder if they groom some trails here.
More for advanced skiers, good variety of runs with some big terrain
Usually busy on the weekends, get there early! Talking 730 am if you're renting gear or taking lessons. I have missed a couple lessons now because I got there at 830 and the lots were full (even the Nordic center 5 miles away) if this happens hit up leavenworth then head back at 2pm. The slopes have many options for all levels. The learn in 3 package for beginners is worth it (especially if you're old like me but want to pick up snowboarding) once again weekend classes might be packed book in advance or take a day off and you get closer to a 1 on 1 lesson.
Thanks is a good place while go from Bellevue to Lavensworth. We stopped over, and it was all closed as of this time.
Loved the snow experience. A vibrant place that will be a must visit for me every time.
I love this mountain, the snow is usually great and everyone is nice to you, the only problems are price and how packed it gets sometimes.
It's my backyard can't say anything bad about it I love that place.
Great resort. Grew up skiing here from 2years old on. With all the influx of people, parking is horrendous and traffic out is equally as bad. Even leaving early the traffic adds an hour. I still love Stevens and am not sure the quantity of people is their fault, but solutions are needed. Not sure if I can make the drive up with my 3 year old just to be turned away because of parking.
Beautiful place to ski. A must go for the winters and enjoy skiing.
Beautiful mountain. Skiing was great. The food was way way overpriced.
Good terrain and helpful employees. Parking continues to be an issue. It's simply not adequate for the number of skiers. The shuttles from remote lots are infrequent at best. Hopefully improvements are coming.
always have best experience at this mountain. snowboarding wise and food wise!
Get a taste of that sweet sweet pow. Dont need to ride a shuttle bus to experience the whole resort.
Went there at the beginning of the snow. Beautiful place considering just an hour from Bellevue
Today conditions are awesome. Soft snow no wind --- Beautiful
Sorry if the mountain looks a bit beat up. I kind of crushed it.
Been going there for years now and it is still a must visit every winter season.
Amazing place to go skiing/snowboarding (I suggest Borialis, it's a black diamond run, and SUPER fun for snowboarders)
Stevens pass is a good resort, a little on the smaller side compared to it's main local rival Crystal Mountain. One tip is to know that the car parking is limited so if you arrive after 8:30am you may be out of luck until it starts emptying again after 1pm or 2pm. You can follow @stevensupdates on Twitter for updates.
They offer night skiing during peak season until 10pm, and the magic carpet area is pretty great for beginners.
Have fun on the slopes!
Nice place to pick up souvenirs and hot coffee. Costs too much to ski.
Place was great, now corporate n garbage. 20 mins for a beer, avoid n go somewhere else
Not enough parking spaces, but if you manage to park the slopes are well maintained.
Good range of slopes, could use better / more grooming. Many unflagged dangers, some tracks not opened yet. Multiple food options at the base but all quite mediocre, including some of the worst reviews on Yelp I've ever seen. Got the epic local pass to go here for now and later in the season to Whistler
Lots of food options, kind of pricy but you can definitely make it worth it. Fun for the whole family and very friendly staff who are happy to answer questions or chat.
We found our home mountain! Steven's Pass has a great low key vibe. Just people who like challenging skiing. Love their support of RV's! Very family friendly.
Too overcrowded. Parking is full by 8:45 am, long lines for food, long lines for restrooms, and most importantly long lines on the lifts. Food service is painfully slow, and parking assistants stop the cars one by one for payment and create 50 min line on hwy 2. Just terrible organization all around. Used to ski Stevens 15 years ago and it was soooo much better, but it has gone downhill since then, no pun intended.
What a fun ski area. Awesome terrain, great snow (usually), and not overdeveloped as it is on National Forest property. Still has good fast lifts though! Coming from Seattle this always seems like my go-to ski area, as it has much better terrain and higher elevation than Snoqualmie.
Stevens is a great resort for all levels of skiing ability. The bunny hill is interesting and there are plenty of blue and green options with lots of variety. The food is also decent and not over priced for a typical restaurant.
Love coming up here! Beautiful views and I really like the vibe of the resort
We hiked a bit of the Pacific Crest Trail and it was beautiful
Awesome mountain with a little of everything. Kinda steep prices though.
Mountain is great but they are having a difficult time with the new system, hour in line to activate new pass
very nice place for the kids and family. But you can't bring your pets.
Steven's has been my go to resort for the winter season. It's close enough to Seattle for a day trip, and they do a great job to keep the resort in good condition. Yes, they post a lot of hype on social media to drum up more business, but the slopes are never that crowded even when the lift lines are long. During the week Steven's is almost sleepy, so that's the best time to go. On the weekends, stick to nights to avoid traffic both going up and coming down, and get a serious break on price (40 bucks for 6 hours from 4 to 10, as opposed to 75 for 7 hours from 9 to 4). Hope to continue coming here for many years to come.
This is a great mountain with great conditions. It s a short beautiful drive. Plenty of parking for free. Lights so you can keep going at night. They need to get a hotel up there and it would be perfect.
