Since I drink the Sterling Pinot Noir found at the LCBO in Canada, having a chance to visit the winery was great. We ended up getting the silver package which was about 10 tastings. If you do the regular one, it would have been enough.

The tour was self guided and along the way, try the different wines. Enjoyed the fact that we can go at our own pace, read at our own pleasure and not worry about others slowing you down or going too fast.

The view was amazing since the building was on a hill and required a cute tram ride to the top. With the building being on top of a hill, the views from the patio on a since sunny day was beautiful and peaceful.

The tastings had a good mix of reds and whites and the best part, we could take our tasting glass home with us as a souvenir.

Me and my husband visited this vineyard, we enjoyed the view and the cable car / tram, took some nice pics; but after all we still felt scammed by them for charging us about $37 each (total paid $75 for the two of us) for a wine (tasting) self tour. And the workers here rather rude and not entertaining at all. We regret visiting this vineyard, we would rather buy a bottle of wine somewhere using that $75 and next time thatiis exactly what we will do!

My favorite is the fifth wine tasting at the top terrace where you can enjoy the view while drinking some more wine. Is the perfect place to take the best pictures of the valley. Thank you VICTOR for making our trip fun and memorable. I'm glad we joined the club!

First off I'd love to say up until we came to this winery, we've had a not so great experience with Napa Valley. A warm greeting from the welcome center was awesome! So with the $45 purchase normally I assume you'd be getting the tram ride, a REAL crystal wine glass with SV at the base, and a total of 5 tastings with the experience we purchased. We got $10 knocked off due to the tram not working. AND SELF GUIDED TOUR top view of production!!! Yes this was a bummer HOWEVER the staff were absolutely AMAZING! Everyone was making sure we had such a good time we were cared about so much they made it such a personal experience! 3 People did stand out to us were Martha being very accomodating to what we like and what she had available also just her sweet kindness, Dorie for being such a funny spirit, and last but definately not the least Katie in the gift shop she answered so many questions that we were pounding her with (which was so many my friend likes to know EVERYTHING) Also her knowledge with the wine that we hadnt even tasted was amazing! We brought up about 5 different bottles that (weren't on the tour tasting) YIKES lol! Ended up buy 3 out of the 5 again ones we didnt taste!!! Absolutely LOVED them, she explained exactly what I tasted after taking the bottles home and enjoying them with more friends. I am definetly going to be re-visiting and telling all friends and family this is one spot to not be missed!!!

Loved the gondola to the top and the Greek style building. The self guided tour was helpful and a nice way to pace the tasting. Wine was delicious. We loved the silver experience being able to sit on the deck and Dorothea was so friendly. Fun experience in Napa!

I am a member at Sterling due to the amazing service from staff and of course, the amazing wine. I feel at home when I am there and always enjoy myself. My guests are always amazed by how great we are treated and how great the wine is. My last visit was on 4/12/19 and I made sure to get names of those who always make our experience that much better at Sterling winery, ask for any of the following people: Martha, Felicia, Kendall, Anthony, Victor, Dori and Kyle - I apologize if I missed any. I will see yall soon, very soon!

Their customer service is pretty bad. I didn t feel like we were welcomed there. Quality of wine is not that great. You re really paying for the gondola ride, nice view, and self tour. There was not enough seating on the last part with view. There was an open seating lounge but no umbrella and too hot to sit. Wondering why they can t just put an umbrella under that empty lounge.

One of the more touristy wineries, the tram is overpriced and the tasting room can get very busy. But if you're a fan of Sterling wines then don't miss the opportunity to go to the source.

The tour ($ 35) is a walk along the street, followed by four wines and briefly explained.
I chose this because of the cable car, but what's so special about it is pretty; Spring Other wineries can not know what 90000000000000001 grapes al.
If you're looking forward to seeing a traditional wine cellar
Compared to celebrity, there is no sight other than tram.

When I visited San Francisco,

When I visited San Francisco,
I visited Napa Valley to see some wineries.

A lot of wineries produce
high quality wine in Napa Valley.
Vineyards are continously linked
more then 10miles.
The grapes are ripen by the
sun and wind in this valley.

I visited Sterling Vineyards.
They has been operating
Tram(Cable Car) which is
powered by solar.

You can go to the winery on the hill
by riding tram and you can drink
3 different kinds of wine by paying $28.00 per person.

You can see wide vineyards with
sunshine and fresh air
when you stand on the terrace.
You can feel calm and piece.

I would recommend to watch
"A walk in the clouds"
starring Keanu Reeves
before you come here.

After watching that movie
and then visit here,
you can feel more than you see.

Really nice vineyard! The cable car to the the vineyard is so relaxing and offers great views of the whole vineyard. The winery is nice and upscale. They offer great wine options and the self guided tour is really nice. This is a popular place and they accept the priority wine Pass. Definitely a must see!

You should definitely try silver experience! It was sooo good. I brought my parents with me. We really enjoyed the ariel view from the sky can. It gave us a general impression of the vineyard. Three wines with three kinds of cheese were also very good. By the way, Kenny was very kind and helpful to us

Definitely some of the best views in the valley. It is VERY corporate. $35 gets you a cable car ride, three tastings, and a complimentary glass. The sommeliers use a measured pour that stops pouring at the right amount, no accidental heavy pours. The wine is just all right. We came for the views!

A little expensive but worth it. When you step of the gondola you are geared with your first glad of wine...the it is self guided but very insightful. There kids had a great time as well, the staff was absolutely wonderful.

After reading the reviews I was very cautious about booking a reservation here, but an old coworker suggested it and I do NOT regret it. I m a solo traveler and from the moment I walked in they treated me like royalty...from Sylvia to Kenny G (my host who was absolutely AMAZING he needs a raise!!!) to Kendall and everyone else at the tour stops including the nice ladies at the gift shop! I met so many people on the tour and my sparkling experience was everything! I can t wait to come back with my girlfriends in the summer thanks again Sterling!

We'd visited for the premium food & wine pairing experience. Even though I'm not a big fan of their wines, I do have to admit that their food pairing with their wines was superb! A+ experience. Their logistics operation of how they deal with the customer visiting on the other hand leaves a lot to be desired. But all in all, it was an enjoyable visit.

There is a general admission cost to get up the winery which includes some basic tastings. You can upgrade to more tastings and other amentities when you order your tickets. The biggest future of this place are the views and the Gondola up to the winery. The self tour was a nice little addition but nothing to scream about. Good place to visit when the weather is cooler.

Unless you are first time to Napa and just need to see the view from the hilltop or haven't been on old ski gondolas, save your $35. This place is a tourist trap, not for tasting wine. Our party of 5 often split tasting so we can try different wineries. Not possible here since $35 is mainly for the gondola ride. I asked to have another small sip of their Sangievese, but no, you have to buy a full glass. I guess they are not used to people actually tasting and buying bottles.

if you are going winetasting in Napa valley, this is must try. Great tram ride experience to the tasting room. walking yourself from one location to another tasting different wines and finally reach the rooftop and enjoy a nice glass of wine and cheese. plus an amazing view, definitely a great experience for the money

Sterling was an awesome winery. You start with a gondola ride up to the top of the valley, do a self guided tour with numerous stops along the way to drink their different wines, then you end at an awesome vista where you can overlook the valley and sip on some more wine! The view at the top is dazzling. I would highly recommend dropping into Sterling during your visit to Napa.

Be warned though: it s harder to get on the gondola at the end of the tour!

Not being much of a wine person, coming here was more about the novelty of an aerial tram (cable car) ride up to the winery for the wine tasting session. The views did not disappoint! The wine tasting itself comprised 4 tasting portions - 2 whites & 2 reds - that were poured out at different stations on our self-paced tour of the winery premises. Really enjoyed the walking with wine in hand, watching videos of their wine making process and taking in the spectacular views!

One final tip, we scored a 2 for 1 tasting by picking up a copy of Wine Country This Week (at tourist information centers and the hotel we stayed at). The current offer expires 30 Jun 2019.

Seemingly more style than substance in terms of the tasting experience. The tram is definitely the drawing card here, and the views aren't too shabby either. The tasting consist of three wines, but none that particularly stood out to me.

This is a gorgeous, scenic winery with an amazing tasting experience. Guests who purchase the Silver Experience ride a gondola up to the tasting spots (which provides amazing views of the surrounding area), then proceed to take a tasting tour around various places in the winery. Along the way there are some cheese and wine pairings selected by chefs that are to die for, guests get an inside look into the winemaking and fermentation process, and the tour eventuallly ends at a neat balcony bar with even more stunning views. The exact experience you get depends on the level of tasting you pay for, and I definitely think the Silver Experience is worth the price.

This vineyard is one of famous destination in Napa.

It had cable Gondola to take you to the Top of mountain where their wine tasting place is there.

They will give you a Wine glass and there will be around 4 types of Wines that they will offer while on the way you are taking self Tour

Standard ticketing charges are $35 (as on 10/19/2019)

Only downside is that they don t offer anything to people (All family member don t drink) who want non-alcoholic drink instead of a Wine.

We came on a Monday and it was great because there wasn't any line or waiting. The winery was ok but there was very little personal attention given. The gondola ride was ok and nothing special if you have been on a gondola tram before. The wines were ok as well but not our type as it was drier than we like.

Great place to try but horrible for people not dringking. Their general admission is the same wheather drinking or not. Ridiculous price of $30 for someone over 21 not drinking. I was going to walk away, only stayed cause the girl offered $5 off for the non drinking ticket. Still pricey but its a good place to see.

Do not order wine from this vineyard! I paid for 6 bottles and only 2 were delivered. Their customer service is horrible. I called every number on their website over a two week period to figure out what happened with my order. They still have not responded and their website is no longer operational as of today. All calls for all departments go to voicemail and no one ever responds. Never again!

Love love love this winery, so much that I have wine delivered right to my door, definitely worth the drive and even better if you can stay the weekend and truly enjoy it and other wineries. Sterling vineyards is truly beautiful and such a relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend!

Yesterday I enjoyed a 2003 Sterling Vineyards Merlot. I had it racked in a cool area. The first half of the cork came up dust. The second half came out better, with some cork in the wine. The bottom of the cork was wet. I filtered it into a 1-gallon Sun Tea glass jug. No cork after filter through a cloth. Was one of the best wines I have had in the last 10-years. Had to work for it, but it was smooth. What is available for purchase today? Could you send me a wine list? Interested in a few bottles. Available in a store near me? Sioux Falls, SD. Thank you, Jim

It had the something different that I was looking for! You enter and then get to take a very scenic tram ride across a valley to the vineyard. It is a walking tour through their facility so don t expect to relax until the end. At the end you can have small bites at a fee and take fantastic pics of the view.

Thoroughly enjoyed my time here. I went with the diamond experience ($45), and can honestly say it was worth every dime. Staff is super friendly and professional. Everyone seemed to know a lot about wine, and answered all my questions eagerly. The facilities were clean, and well kept up. The gondola ride was nice, scenic, and most importantly, short. My wife doesn't like heights, but she felt completely at ease on this ride. Coming here with friends from Korea, we had to take 1000 selfies. The scenic views certainly helped with that not to mention the signs that outright encourage it. Trust me. Best money I have spent this entire trip. Definitely coming back.

The wines at Sterling Vineyards are very nice, but you don't really come here for the wine; you come for the experience. It's certainly one of the most unique in the Napa area. You will take a Gondola to their winemaking facility where you taste wines, and, after you're done, enjoy the views from their patio (with the opportunity to purchase full glasses of wine while you do so). It's all slightly pricey, but worth it in the end.

The wine tasting experience here is very unique as you travel up to the winery via a gondola. You are then guided through the winery and stop along the way at designated areas to try each wine. The wines were below average compared to many of the other wineries we visited and the tasting fee was higher, so the value from a wine quality perspective is lower. The experience of the winery is pretty neat though and you are rewarded with some great views once you reach the top.

Visited in October 2016 for 39th wedding anniversity. Enjoyed tour and wine tasting with excellent views from winery . Gondola ride very enjoyable. The restaurant menu was exceptional. My wife really enjoyed the grape stomping and received a T shirt with imprint of her purple feet and date we were there. Our wne mail order delivery to Pa. difficult but our order delivered as promised. Recommend this Vineyaed tour to all and hope to return in future.
