Steigenberger Airport Hotel Amsterdam Review

Excellent facilities and well-organized breakfast, however, somewhat scanty for the money. 1 hung bed with pillows that I could not lie on comfortably. Booked via the website, including the city tax, when checking out it still had to be paid for.

Update: on second visit this was not the case and I turned out to have paid too much through the website.

There's nothing inherently "wrong" with the hotel, other than its location. We get to stay here due to work, but if I was here for pleasure, this would not be on my list of choices.

The airport shuttle bus did not start on time. The pigeons were placed twice in a row. The electric kettle in the hotel was rusty. The colleague s room was mistaken. What else can you say?

Very good! The hotel offers many opportunities to participate in recreational and relaxing activities. Both young and old. The hotel was clean and tidy, the staff were friendly, the food in the restaurant was sublime. The connection to the airport may also be certain, not only the shuttle but also buses regularly come next to the hotel. In the evening there is the possibility to get something from snack at the counter.

Close to airport with free shuttle bus running every 30 minutes between hotel and shiphol airport, a very good room condition, a supportive front desk, a free landry facilities, gym and a swiming pool at floor 1, a various choices of buffet breakfast

Hotel just away on the bridge from the airport terminal, good amenities for the stay

The rooms and facilities were nice but that was about it. Immediately greeted with horrible customer service, which myself and my companions experienced through our entire stay. Rooms were not cleaned properly every single day of our 4 night stay and staff could not communicate properly, would never stay here again.

Wow! Looks and feels much much more expensive than it is. Superb room!

Perfect hotel, everything and at disposal, swimming pool, gym, spa, restaurant and bar, spacious and clean room for the price c very nice and correct, 10 min from the center of Amsterdam for my part I would go back to this hotel

This hotel is beautiful and has sufficient accommodations for the small conference I attended.

Great room, poor food choices.

I had a comfortable stay. Their shuttle to the airport was very useful. The room was clean and cosy. Good insuit bathroom with a full bath. The staff was nice and welcoming. However, their bar/restaurant did not offer vegan options and service was very slow. They did agree to give.me some.fruit which was better than nothing.

Clean rooms. Shuttle runs every full and half hour. Very nice spa area with several saunas. Pool itself not very deep. Food prices high or higher than in the city.
Would sleep there again.

Very nice hotel convenient to the airport. Good dining options, friendly staff, and convenient to Amsterdam city center. Also a great place for meetings.

Use of one of the conference rooms for a Business event. These have the necessary facilities. Plus is the catering staff, very friendly and helpful.

Super friendly staff. Great breakfast buffet and early morning breakfast options. Free shuttle to airport and there is also a bus that can take you to the airport. Clean rooms, nice showers.

The room was spacious n the view was nice. The minibar had interesting drinks n the bathroom had nice floor heating. For my room, I had a minibar and coffee machine, which was really great. The downside was a long check in.

Ridiculous this hotel. Hotel staff arrogant, parking outrageously expensive as well as the participation in the breakfast buffet. If there was the possibility to distribute zero stars I would do this. Rarely a hotel experienced what would like to rip off.

Rooms are very clean. Staff friendly. There are several ways to eat here. To complain about the parking garage entrance which is very narrow and many have driven against the curb as you can see kan.

The sports bar is a great place to go for a drink after work.

Nice hotel. Spacious rooms, ask for a renovated room. The meeting rooms are also very well cared for. Nice sports bar and nice terrace in the summer. No noise pollution.

I woke up about 30 minutes ago thirsty, there was only one bottle of water in my room which I drank earlier in the day. When I rang room service, no one answered so I went to the lobby. Someone was in the back behind the front desk, a Romy, I explained why I was in the lobby at 3:30 a.m. , she suggested I drink the water out of the faucet. As far as service is concerned, this hotel has room for improvement.<br/>Edit: Just checked out, I noticed they charged my card twice for the deposit but they only showed it once in their system, receptionist told me to call back if it's not refunded, I explained that doesn't comfort me since they only show it in their system once. I hope I get my money back.

Beautiful hotel that has a free shuttle to and from airport making it very easy to get into Amsterdam city centre via train. Staff are very polite, we arrived 8.30am and unfortunatley you cannot check in until 2pm however the staff were very accommodating and put our luggage in a secure room. We can't wait to come back!

Cheap but excellent and comfortable, close to the best park

Breakfast was disappointing, few and expensive and croissants were very greasy.

I was there because my flight was delayed by almost 8 hours. Simple rooms at least on the wing where we were.

Just as seamless as you expect right from ease of check in to the facilities and the room .... excellent cost stay for the 2 nights ,

Great hotel! Modern, spacious and comfortable rooms. Huge range of spa, wellness and fitness treatments. Friendly service, an in-house sports bar with a nice atmosphere, fine food and drink ... just great!

We were stranded here after air canada cancelled our flight home. Nice size rooms comfy beds and a great buffet lunch and dinner

The TV remote control was not working and I had a light which stayed on all night. Impossible ti switch it off... will not recommend it.

A good location near Schiphol to hold a meeting and possibly spend the night afterwards.
Friendly service in the bar and so does the airport staff that comes here too.

The hotel itself is perfectly ok. The staff on reception is extremely unpleasant. I happened to drop my lunch box on the floor and have collected everything I could back in the box since I went to have a beer. Then a man comes from the front desk with cleaning tools and finds me in the restaurant and has to go and wash the floor. All this made it an experience that I stayed at the home of the person who brought the cleaning supplies and not the hotel. No. Never again.

The Deluxe room is beautiful and comfortable. The breakfast is more than fine. The friendliness and service orientation of the staff makes an overnight stay a very pleasant experience.

Nice Hotel, Good bedds but high price in food and drinks.

The hotel is clean and tidy.

However, the bad rating stems from the fact that the reception staff was very, very unfriendly and in no way courteous or helpful. This is especially true for the ladies at the front desk !!!!! Every now and then a smile from the staff would have been nice.

We were seven girls because we were celebrating a bachelorette party and had already paid everything in advance, but a deposit of 50 per room was required on arrival. We were not advised of this in any way. A "no go" for a 4 * hotel.

Also forgot an old toothbrush in the fresh room.

On the whole nice hotel but friendliness and service from the ladies at the front desk really bad.
