Poor beds noisy and no quilt just a sheet and a throw

The location is great because it is close to the centre the problem I had here Is that my room was super cold even though they tried to change the room and finally the increase the heater but it did not work
So they need to enhance the system of conditioning

Handy location. Clean and tidy. Food and bar good. Customer Parking ideal.

Good location, friendly staff, clean rooms and a nice restaurant area. Good value for money and not expensive.

We waited over an hour in an empty restaurant for a toasted sandwich, the service and quality of rooms was very poor, for the price we paid we could have had an excellent four star hotel including breakfast. I will not be staying again. The staff were rude on occasion and most of the facilities were out of order.

Very nice place. Very clean and quite. Friendly staff. Has free parking and free wi fi . Rooms can be a little better. Extremely close to all important place city centre and Manchester arena. overall very nice place to stay

Small rooms and small beds. Outdated system with room keys. You pay for a good location.

We booked a room with them and for some unfortunate reason we had to come back home as we arrived there.We requested if they could refund us the money that we had already paid them over the net and they refunded us within 48 hours and there was NO problem at all what so ever.Recommended....

Great little hotel. Room was clean and cosy. Close to where we needed to be. Room was a little warm and can't really sleep with window open as next to ring road. Bit annoyed that house keeping entered room while we were still sleeping and woke is up. Surely they should be waiting till after check out to do our room. Would use this hotel again I'd needed a quick overnight around this way again.

Staff were lovely but I didn't get on with one of the cleaning products they had used or the veggie options on the menu.

Rooms were good. But SOME (not all) of the staff was kind of impolite. They also closed the restaurant early on the second night I stayed there without informing the tenants, and when we went down to eat, there was nothing and it was already late so most places outside were closed also. Overall, an OK experience, but could have been much better. At least the rooms were fine.

Solid budget hotel, good service, friendly staff. Even the restaurant is quite good at reasonable prices. Near the university, which is why I chose it in the first place. The only gripe as far as I am concerned is that they the windows don't shut very well and there sometimes seem to be issues with the room heating. They also would do well in installing hotel safes. On balance, I'd recommend it.

Good location and free car park is a bonus however the place is badly in need of a refurbishment.

Simple, dated, but excellent bar staff, bar opening hours and superbly convenient.

Location is excellent, short and easy walk to city centre. Hotel looks outdated and is in need of being done up but the rooms were pleasent and had everything you need, but the rooms do get very hot with no fan or air conditioning, and it's on a main road so it's too noisy at night to leave the window open.

Staff were very friendly and helpful room clean 10 minute walk to city centre breakfast plentiful ample parking space on site and free

The first room we were given was facing the road so all night we were woke up by the traffic, we asked to change rooms if possible and they moved us to a room that was not facing the road. Overall the rooms were small but just for sleeping in, they were good. Overall I had a nice experience and the location is good as you are just 10 minutes away from the arena and shopping

Staff were great but the mattress in the room was awful. Very hard mattress which prevented us from sleeping comfortably and gave us back aches. There's good parking nearby, staff are friendly. Rooms are in an okay condition. Rooms would benefit from softer mattresses, new duvets, more pillows. Hallway would benefit from a new colour theme.

Stayed for one night to see James at the M.E.N, Hotel is well located just 10 minutes from the City centre, reception staff were friendly and helpful. Free car parking, rooms small but adequate and clean, Sky Sports in the bar for the Footy, always a bonus, only minus point was that we were on the second floor and every so often there was some strange banging noise,we could hear in our room, something to do with the heating maybe? (oh and no lift)

Great location for the Arena and the city centre..Victoria train station is less than a 10 minute walk away,staff amazingly dedicated to giving 1st class service,room was well equipped with a great layout,free parking available which is rare in the inner cities nowadays,would highly recommend this Hotel and I wouldn't hesitate to book it again.

Nice, clean, friendly hotel. Good size room. Free parking and wifi. Food no frills but good. Bar open till 1am. All the staff especially Rhona were lovely and helpful. For the price this is a good place to stay and a short hop from the city centre.

Ideal hotel for a place to rest your head for the night

Friendly staff good sized rooms clean and tidy comfortable beds well equipped for the price breakfast not included and although on the pricey side you get the full English and continental with unlimited drinks and cakes, croissants juice ,cereal and fruit easy check in and check out good check in and out times too with no feeling of being rushed . Very close to Manchester Arena (10 minute walk away ) didn't try the hotel bar but its open til 1am anyway for those who want it , nice and quiet in the rooms ( I think we were the noisy guests lol ) no squeaks from the bed and no headboard to rattle on the walls lol so perfect for couples. Overall a great hotel with good service and reasonable prices wouldn't hesitate to stay again .

The staff are great but..... the beds are to soft the hotel is far to noisey due to heavy traffic and the rooms are small the bath room is that small you can hardly turn around but at least it's clean I won't be stopping here again it's to over priced for what you get

Budget hotel with lovely staff and 10 mintute walk to the city centre. They have a bar where you can even watch live games.

Great place to stay at a reasonable distance from the city centre

It was a pleasent stay and had no problems. Although the decor is a bit old fashion and there was no ventilation in the bathroom. But for the price the hotel was worth the money me and my partner paid.

Friendly staff, nice food, clean rooms however very small bathroom.

Bed was surprisingly comfortable but wouldn't recommend really unless your not going to be in the room much, not the cleanest, quite dated and door locks weren't very secure didnt feel comfortable leaving valuables while we were out, we used this hotel after a gig in Manchester and that's all I'd suggest to use it for, it's quite close to the center aswell.

My company booked this hotel for one night. The window on the room rattle from the wind and the currain waves from the air outside...! And the window is closed! Got a dinner ticket in the room price and wanted to eat: no scampi, no shish kebab. Ordered a burger but saw one customer took a bite of one and left it on the plate! Changed my order to chicken pizza. Waited 20 mins it came back without chicken!!! Was told to wait another 10mins. Still waiting.............. Really annoyed and upset!

AVOID this place if you want to sleep during your stay. So noisy, other guests could be heard through the walls, through the ceiling, in the corridor, The windows don't fit properly so the main road outside was really loud with passing traffic all night.

Lovely staff and great location, however very noisy throughout the night and early morning due to neighbouring residence making alot of noise! Walls and ceilings don't seem very sound proof.....

Place itself was nice and clean..good location for the arena.. all staff were friendly and helpful barr one member of the nightstaff who refused to give me his name once i told him i was reporting him to management..came knocking on our door after he recieved a complaint about noise ..he wasnt definite it was coming from our room ( IT WASN'T) but he wouldn't listen. He told us he'd been standing outside our door for 5 minutes listening. Which is creepy in itself..He told myself and my friend to make sure " he didn't have to come back to our room again " stood in our doorway pointing his finger in my face..i told him he was making us feel uncomfortable. He just smirked!! Reported him next morning. Filling out a form given to us by Marek (who was lovely) not heard anything back from management so i have to assume they hear this alot and do not take customer feedback very seriously..

Small but clean. Rather cheap. Helpful staff. What to want more? Probably breakfasts, which are available, but I have not tested them, so no idea what they are.

I was put in an average room but asked for a bath and at no additional cost I was upgraded to a really good standard room. It would be the difference between 3 and 5 star rating so I recommend you ask, it never hurts.

Positive:
The room is small but clean, you have everything you need, there is a kettle, generally good facilities, bathroom is very very small but clean, it is every day new towels, bed is made every day, close to the city center (15 minute walk), no street noise (we could not complain), friendly staff

Negative:
comic comforter, breakfast was not worth the price and sparse. The continental breakfast was not worth the price. I would advise you to have breakfast in the nearby restaurants in the city center.

Hotel just outside the center but reachable in less than fifteen minutes on foot. Parking available, I don't know if for a fee for those arriving by car.
All in all convenient paid breakfast.
It is also possible to have dinner.
Clean rooms although not very spacious, but in line with the category.
Too bad nobody speaks Italian!
I gave it four stars because the room had a window on the main road and it was a bit noisy. If possible ask for a room from the inside.

I think I booked this hotel because of free parking.Room small but clean I wish I had known how small the bathroom was I have had bigger ones on cabin in car ferries.Staff are fairly helpful Reasonably priced resturant for breakfast.Good central location but will not be staying here again the decoration is rather dated no safety window catch Pity when you enter from car park it looks nothing like the pictures on the web.A rather tired looking hotel that would do well with some upgrading and some TLC.

Not bad, couldn't control the heating, quilts were rubbish and stiff, pillows knackered, ok place if you're just gonna sleep and leave

Just stayed the one night as seeing a gig at the Arena. Room as clean if rather small and shower room as even smaller. Food in restaurant was good and reseasonable price. Good location for city centre within walking distance.

Shower room needs sealant in several places as hygiene issue, cobwebs in room but overall clean but night staff need to be be quiter and traffic noise is not good. Would I stay again

Brilliant staff on check in but hotel is pretty run down. Room smelled of stale smoke but bedding was clean. Location was great though so if you can take the negatives then decent place. Also parking was easy and free so another plus there

I'm here at the moment & I was slightly worried when work booked me in here, but I needn't have worried! I've had 3 evening meals in the hotel & I have to say they have all been excellent! Fine dining it isn't, but it doesn't fail to More

Pretty standard budget hotel. Staff were friendly and courteous. Beds were firm and suitable enough. Bathroom was small, but adequate. Location to Manchester city centre was a five minute walk. Free car park was also a great benefit. Breakfast was expensive but included a full English as well as a continental buffet.

Wouldn't recommend this place to fussy people as it is by no means luxury, but to me it served its purpose as intended.

Location wise it was like 20 minutes walking distance from Manchester City Centre where all the attractions are. Reasonable price, friendly staff, rooms have their own pathrooms, clean, it has a resturant that serves all three meals and there's a convenient store right in the corner next to the hotel. Easy to book either online, by phone or you can walk in and book.

Stayed in room 4 and 6 which was clean and tidy check in was friendly close to Manchester arena I would recommend this place

Basic and a little tired. Very comfy bed and good shower. A 20 minute walk from the centre of Manchester, which felt a little longer when walking on your own in the dark. A couple of take away places close by and a little corner shop nearby.

Does what it says on the tin. Bathroom was great albeit a little small. The main room looked like it had been partially decorated by Del Boy Trotter with help from a 1980s Argos catalogue. Slept well though and everything worked. Can't complain for the price at all. Thanks very much!

Have to say I was pleasantly surprised with our short stay. The hotel was significantly cheaper than most other local hotels. The key points for me; it was clean, it was quiet, the rooms were value for money, the showers were hot and powerful and staff seemed friendly. Would happily stay again.

Hotel is due a makeover. I had 2 meals and the food was good better than I expected.
The rooms are small but everything you need. Overall could be better but could be worse

Basic triple room nothing too exciting was expecting worse. Got a working tv with basic free view channels and a decent shower.
