Good property. Rooms functional and comfortable. Breakfast with buffet.

Service is good- they are responsive to requests and the hotel is clean. Front desk staff helpful. Wifi is slow even for light webpage browsing. TV is only in italian, no English. Buffet style breakfast with wide selection. Fitness room available. No pool.

The room itself, Junior Suite, was nice but definitely different from the listing. No complementary mineral water nor were there two sinks in the bathroom as shown on the hotel page.

The hotel staff were friendly but we never received a voucher for our complementary "welcome drinks" and ended up having to pay for that. I even followed up with the front desk before placing my order for two cocktails. Had I known it was only soda, I wouldn't have ordered from the bar as I do think the cocktails were quality but definitely overpriced. The bartender was super friendly though!

All in all, it's not a bad location being so close to a lot of monuments and the train station. I'd probably go back but would appreciate the listing to be updated on the site for an accurate representation of the rooms.

Excellent rooms and service, plus the lounge bar is very relaxing with some good drinks.

Nice hotel, good rooms, nice breakfast, friendly staff. Only the rooms are too hot. You could not turn off heating and you could open your window but a lot of noise outside in the early morning.

Like the other hotels of the same chain, the Metropole also deserves my star. Very large and comfortable, it is a hotel to keep in mind for business trips or for many tourists especially from the East, who visit Rome hoping to relive in some way the atmosphere narrated in the film Roman Holiday. It is very easy to reach, a stone's throw from Termini station and therefore from the metro, but it is in a slightly chaotic and busy street, although the rooms are quiet and well soundproofed. Rich breakfast, sweet and salty in abundance so that we can skip lunch.
Oh I forgot, the wi-fi is not free. Significant flaw.

Excellent service, very friendly receptionists and they know how to speak several languages, so they can support you with any type of information (tours, restaurants, ticket purchase, etc.) easily and without obstacles. The beautiful room and very comfortable, the hotel is very quiet and in a good location.

Excellent hotel near the Termini station and therefore ideal for those traveling by train. It is close to two metro stops and many tourist attractions can also be reached on foot. The reception staff is very kind as well as the breakfast room staff. The rooms are modern and spotless; on our arrival we found the room very hot but it was enough to turn off the thermostat to lower the temperature. Breakfast is very rich.

A four star might be a bit of a stretch. I d give it 3.5. It s clean, has a decent breakfast, some of the staff could try to be happier but I get it. It s a busy place. Our room wasn t the greatest and was right above the entrance so very noisy. Beds are comfortable and house cleaners did a great job.

The hotel was clean and comfortable, with modern decoration. I enjoyed the location - while it's not right next to everything, it is possible to walk to several places. Santa Maria Maggiore is just around the corner. The Colosseum and Roman Forum are probably only about ten or fifteen minutes walking (downhill). If you're willing to walk farther and climb the hills, it's only 20-30 minutes to walk to the Spanish Steps, the Pantheon, or Piazza Navona.

Good choice x visit Rome: 2 steps from Termini station adjacent to the Opera House, still quiet, spacious and well soundproofed, good colazione..superiore average accesibilw right from 6.30, free wifi and effective. Improvements: few TV channels and carpeting in the rooms. I will definitely come back, to recommend.

Great location. Just a 5 mins walk from the Termini. Spacious room. But the room were HOT and you need to open the window to cool down a bit. Bfast was fair.

Close to Rome Termina Station. There are restaurants and supermarkets in the surrounding area and it is convenient. This is a recommended hotel.

Washroom food lacks variation close to the colloseum ..

I often go to milan echo and as always I feel good, 5 minutes watch good terms breakfasts (milano of breakfast do more) well-kept rooms well air-conditioned (40 degrees outside this weekend) perfect reception silent (if six customers already have data so fast) that say for Rome as I reference hotel for milano

Beautiful I went there to take a client with the NCC and inside there were some colleagues who immediately looked at me wrong, from western duel look what you are doing here is not whether our company ...! Apart from that at least the lobby was very large well lit and this point I think even the rooms are up to par

Wonderful hotel, fantastic location and great breakfast. Cheap cab rides to Vatican, Colosseum, wherever. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Will stay here again.

clean modern hotel in room..No rooms have great views though so just be cognizant of that when booking.

Our experience with this hotel was not acceptable and management did nothing to accomodate or rectify the issues. We felt that because we were American we were treatly poorly and they did not care. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone and had my whole family stayed here based upon my recommendation we occupied 8 rooms there while on vacation in Rome Italy.

Staying for 4 nights, so far the hotel itself is very updated and so are the rooms, very comfortable bed and room decor is very beautiful. Highly recommend.

Mario at the front desk was amazing. The airline lost our luggage and he was very helpful and accommodating to us. The location is close to everything and the rooms are very clean and we are very happy with our decision.

One of the worst bed I have ever slept on. I'm in the middle of night awake because the bed is so hard that my back is twisted. The pillow is on the other side extremely thin. Furthermore there is a light nearly at the level of floor that you cannot turn off.
I have slept in many hostels for private purposes and 4 stars hotel for business purposes. This is one of the worst sleeping experiences.

Excellent cleaning, comfortable and quiet rooms ... shame about the breakfast that at the moment they do not offer buffet due to covid. Parking space a bit small, you have to be careful not to hit it during the maneuver against columns or walls (equipped with a mattress to avoid these problems). Aside from this little detail, everything perfect!

Very comfortable room but the hairdryer stopped after one minute. Abundant, varied breakfast, all of fair quality, except mediocre coffee; to consider that a lemon squeezed into a glass of hot water is considered EXTRA At the bar I paid 35 euros for 4 centrifuges and I had to pay cash because the POS was not working ............ such situations are expected from a 4 star .....

Excellent hotel, very well located, The treatment of staff at reception was always friendly and very good disposition. The breakfast plentiful and well served. The rooms spacious, comfortable and always neat. It is a highly recommended hotel for a stay of several days in the beautiful Italian capital.

I have been using the Starhotel in Rome for a dozen years now. I have always found a warm and efficient welcome, I would say affectionate, after a long time. Never a flaw or a discordant note: every time it's like coming home. The staff is very polite, quick and smiling. After the Roman experience, I often use the same hotel chain also in other cities (Milan). I see that there are still over 7000 characters left, but I should always repeat only the same, highly positive adjectives.

The truth is that it has surprised me for good.
The breakfast with EATALY products is delicious.
For putting a but, I would recommend that you change the windows for more efficient ones.
The area will not be the best, but if you are going to move to another city, which is next to Termini is a plus.
The very large rooms and the bathroom products are echo.

Hotel for both business and families. The rooms are well furnished and spacious, clean and comfortable. Too bad for the absolute absence of soap keet, shower cap and so on, in particular the absence of soap near the bidet. The soap is present in fixed diffusers on the sink and in the shower. Excellence and professionalism in the heart of Rome !!!

What would have otherwise been a pleasant last nights stay in Rome was ruined by the petty nickel and diming we faced regarding an overpriced 8 breakfast. Petty to the point where we were told the woman who checked us in would have to pay for our meal, and petty to the point where I believe we were overcharged in taxes to compensate...unless there is a justifiable reason why starhotels charges 6 apiece for city tax, whereas all other hotels -including those in Rome- were far less than 5.

What bothers me most is the attitude taken with us on checkout, as though we were trying to scam them when it was clearly a deep seeded communication error that had us at a complete disadvantage. When we booked online, the website indicated that breakfast was included with our stay. When we checked in, we were told to come down between 6:30 and 10:30 - checkout at 12. When we came down, we were told that some food - the cold plates only - were a part of the complimentary continental breakfast, but that if we were to eat the hot food, that would be a charge. Then when we checked out, we were told to pay, that we should have booked with them directly, and then finally, that the kind woman who checked us in would have to pay out of her pocket for what was ultimately a few cups of crummy, overpriced coffee, some cold cuts and a dry croissant.

We stayed at a range of hotels in Italy- from sketchy looking 3 stars to brand new, top of the line 5 star places, but this was the only place where the disappointment far exceeded the experience of being in Italy.

Starhotels Metropole has been amazing for my honeymoon so far. They've been very accommodating when the airline lost our luggage. They got it back for us and delivered it directly to the room. The breakfast is delicious and the rooms are clean and beautiful. The location is to die for. It has been so easy to get around. I cant recommend this place highly enough.

Very comfortable hotel with well-kept rooms. The gym is definitely small, but fortunately during my uncrowded stay. Breakfast can also be improved at least for the sweet part. Little assortment of croissants and yoghurt in particular.
