Live music 7 nights a week! Lovely hotel with spacious rooms, beautiful grounds and friendly staff. Workout facility is large (many treadmills were broken during my visit), but it's a short walk to a nice walking/running path. Stores and restaurants are in walking distance. Restaurant has limited menu and train is very close.

The entrance is pretty smallish, not as grand looking as it was from the exterior. But the Christmas decorations were quite lovely. Bathrooms were very clean and tidy. Bar was a bit lacking, could use a bit of a sprucing up.

Great service, rooms, high speed internet. Pool and Hot Tub especially nice. The attached restaurant is reasonably priced and isn't bad at all. Complementary biscuits and snacks every day too. Better than some 5-star hotels. Biggest downside is how close the Caltrain crossing is. Try to get a room away from that side of the hotel, or you will wake up at 5:30 every day, especially if you leave your window open!

I don't know how I managed to land this gem for the price I did but I'm so glad I did. The staff were super friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious and I loved the complimentary water and snacks. The cafe had great food and parking was easy. Thank you for the great stay!! We'll definitely be returning... hopefully for the same price we got it for.

The bar at the Stanford Park Hotel was a little slow and underwhelming. They service was slow, thye forgot to bring us numerous drinks, and the waiters didn't seem to know anything about the drink menu and had to run back to ask the bartender various questions. The drinks were well made, and the bar was well stocked. The atmosphere was enjoyable, and the hotel is very neat.

It is rare/unheard of when you stay at a hotel and they give you complimentary drinks and snacks. Stanford Park Hotel does just that, giving Voss water and kettle chips! The front desk is nothing less than extroadinary. We were in a room that was noisy (next to the outside part of their restaurant) and they not only moved us immediately to a quieter location, but also a complimentary upgraded larger room! They remind me of Amazon customer service...one of a kind. Thanks for making our experience really comfortable and looked after!

This is a really nice hotel in a good location. My room was spacious and the courtyard had nice sitting areas with fires. Most special, the staff took the time to write me a welcome note. The restaurant is currentlt under renovation, but overall, a great place to stay.

Failed to provide an adequate option for our vegan guests, of which the restaurant was notified and we were assured options would be available. The meal started strong but after multiple communication errors, it became clear the restaurant had no food for my extended family at the table. Dessert was sad and as a Mother's Day event, the Roses were the best part of it. I definitely don't recommend going if you have any kind of dietary restriction for them to botch. If none of that gets under your skin, the food was acceptable for the high price.

Super rude staff during construction. Desk clerk told that he was too busy checking me out because his system was down. That s too bad, I ve never been mistreated in a hotel before. Perhaps the guy was eagerly wanting to be offended and was looking to fight with guests that day. So unfortunate, since it s a place in an expensive area in Palo Alto where you would at least expect some civility and education from hotel staff. Never staying here again and will tell my colleagues the same. Screw them.

The rooms were spacious, clean, and beautiful. The lobby and restaurant were a stunning mix of old and new architecture and the service was impeccable. I am so happy we stumbled upon this gem. Stay here and you wont be disappointed.

Very friendly staff, clean spacious rooms. Love the added touch of hot cider in the afternoon and cookies in the evening by the lobby. We always make a point to sit outside by the firepits when we stay here. Even on cold nights with drinks from the bar. Perfect way to end the night.

I've stayed here three times before and it just keeps getting better! The customer service is incredible, everyone is so kind and accommodating. The rooms are fantastic, specifically the beds, sheets and pillows. The pillows are better than the ones I have at home, they work for those who like firm and soft pillows. The restaurant, the Menlo Grill, is delicious and the servers and bartenders are helpful and personable. Shoutout to Matt, John, and Jasmin!!

WORST experience ever!!!!! If there is a 0 star, I will definitely rate that.

I stayed in this hotel on the end of December 2017, and when I left, I forgot my shirt in the closet. Then I called back IMMEDIATELY, and they said they found it. Therefore, I asked my friend to pick up for me, since I was leaving at that night. The day before my friend came, I had called the hotel again, and told them when my friend would come, and what my friend s name was, but when my friend was at the front desk, they said they didn t have it ready. Then my friend flight back to school without my shirt. Then I called back again, and the front desk staff said they found it and will ship it to me, so I left my address and credit card information and then waited. After a long time waiting, I still didn t received anything. So I called again and again, and each time they just kept saying that they had found it and they will ship it to me within 24hrs. But I still received nothing, plus THEY NEVER CALL ME BACK!!!!!

During the past two months, I had made enough phone calls, but heard nothing back. Therefore, I decided to come by the hotel during the spring break myself.

Update:
Feb 22nd 2018, I called them again, and asked them about my shirt, and they told me the exact same answer that I have heard multiple times. They promised me that they will ship within 24hrs, but this time, I chose not to trust them, and booked the flight to SF at the same time.

Mar 10th 2018, I specifically flight back to SF during the spring break, and drove to this hotel again, in hoping of bringing the shirt back. However, I didn t stay in this hotel, because of the previous experience.
Result: They said they don t have it right now, but once they found they will call me. As I expected, I didn t receive any phone call during my stay.

Mar 12th 2018, I drove to this hotel again, and in order not to waste my time, I called them 30mins before I arrive, but I still waited at the lobby for another 30 - 40 mins.
Results:
The negotiation was absolutely UNPLEASANT, and I don t think they are truly sorry for that. After I tried to contact the hotel for 3 months, they told me that after 2 months, they will discard the item, and they don t think they can find it anymore. However, I already made several phone calls beforehand and I talked to different front desk staffs, but they never mentioned their names. Besides, I left my information many times, and I gave my information to the guest relation manager personally on Mar 10th, but the guest relation manager asked my information AGAIN!

If they didn t have the shirt, they could just tell me at the first time. If they do have the shirt, why they need me to call them this many times instead of shipping to me in first two months.
What this hotel has done is not only time consuming, but also waste of money!
Worst of all, after I had spent 2 hours with them arguing about the issue, they still didn t guarantee ANYTHING!!!!!

Delightfully devoid of a crowd, partly quiet, and with charming service, the bar and dining area offered us a nice little departure from the hustle and bustle of the Thanksgiving holiday crowd and the generally unceasing congestion of Stanford Shopping Center and Commons just a few miles down the road! I was pleasantly surprised by the comfort and style of the seating booths where we enjoyed our evening in the always good company of our old friends. I ordered an Irish Coffee, and it was actually delicious! My request for no added sugar was capably granted, and the drink, with it's dollop of heavy whipped cream, balanced the coffee and liquor nicely, delivering a drink reminiscent of my experience in downtown San Francisco: it was delicious and nicely presented. We ordered a burger and fries and again I was pleasantly surprised by the quality of the meat, the attention to right cooking (medium was in fact, medium) and the texture and taste of the chewy, yummy pretzle bun that accompanied the meat and simple condiments. The fries were simple but good! Our companions actually ate most of our fries so they ordered a second side order . We'd definitely come back here for a nice little departure from the usual of the most crowded Palo Alto locales; I can fathom now from our experience that the full dinner menu will be well-respected and well-served here at their hotel restaurant.

A nice cozy classic hotel in the border of Palo Alto and Menlo Park. Good access to all the goods Palo Alto has to offer. Free wifi. Large rooms. Nice bathtub and shower. Good room dining food quality. We enjoyed our stay here in the hotel.

Location is convenient while parking is easy with lots of available spaces. The room is well maintained and kept clean though the style is slightly dated.

Overall nice stay that's slightly overpriced.

I stayed here for one night as I was for business in the area. What a great experience! The lobby was friendly, elegant and comfortable. The staff was very attentive. The room was large with a very comfortable King size bed, clean with great bathroom and amenities. My room was looking to El Camino and I am a very light sleeper but the insulation on the windows was perfect with no noise at all in the room. The only minor complaint is the light from the clock on top of the telephone that distracted me from failing a sleep that my t-shirt fixed :) I will stay again and highly recommend.

Booked last min to take my 8 yr to Am Girl store. Nice lil upgrade for my daughter's own doll. The hotel is well appointed, great little pool, awesome public outdoor lounging, tasteful and fun music, good food. Great value and service was excellent. Would have easily paid $100 more and been pleased. One of my favorite hotels in the Bay area.

I had a wonderful time here. The staff are the nicest, most efficient, most helpful of any place I've ever stayed. They were always going out of their way to help and accommodate us. That was the highlight of my stay.

Plus,
- perfectly clean hotel
- very comfy beds!!
- spacious, comfortable rooms
- bathrobes.
- HDMI cable on the TV
- amenities like complimentary water/snacks every day
- newspaper delivered to your door each morning
- car service (with really nice drivers, for the most part) to take you anywhere within 3 miles... which is all you need really because the hotel is near everything!
- beautiful furniture and art (original paintings?!), books to read throughout the hotel; very historic atmosphere
- heated pool and hot tub
- a beautiful courtyard with string lights, outdoor tables, and two fire pits to relax around at night (very cozy)
- lovely, nostalgic architecture and landscaping
- a really delicious, relatively inexpensive restaurant (with AMAZINGLY fast service and nice waiters)
- free wine tasting every evening M-F and fresh, hot chocolate chip cookies baked in-house and served every night of the week (what more could you want??)
- probably other great stuff but like I said there are free cookies

The only con:
- right next to the train tracks, unfortunately. Try to get a room on the far side of the hotel. I stayed in a room facing the courtyard on the side of the hotel farther from the tracks, and although I heard the train a lot the first day, after that I barely noticed it at all. If you stay in a room nearer to the tracks, though, it might be more annoying

These were so minor in my opinion but I'll put them down anyway:
- the pool was full of bugs... but the hot tub was clean! It's only March so maybe they'll clean it closer to summer?
- I don't really watch TV so this didn't bother me too much, but I felt the TV could have been bigger? It felt kind of small to watch from so far across the room
- I also wish the lighting had been a little less intrusive and more convenient, but perhaps the lamps are part of the charm

Unfortunately, this hotel is located within 50 feet of a busy train track ... & therefore very noisy. Trains sound their horn in middle of night when approaching/passing right next to the hotel. Rumbling of midnight trains made my windows rattle. I thought it was an earthquake, but presumably it was just a heavy freight train.

Oh, and room service arrived after 45 not the stated 25-30 minutes and burger/fries were stone cold. I guess everyone has a busy/bad day, but you can't fix the location of this hotel.

Great, exclusive hotel in Palo Alto, close to Facebook HQ, and Google/Apple within 20 minutes. Traditional, well appointed rooms with great beds and excellent service. The bistro was ok, but I prefer a buffet in the morning.

Quiet, off the beaten path place for drinks and food where you can actually hear your friends and colleagues in conversation. Pleasant ambiance inside and out. The courtyard is airy and comfortable when weather suits.

So I was in the area in the am and wanted a drink at a bar. I called and the woman who answered the phone lied to me and said the bar was open. When I got there I found out it wasn't. What a bummer.

A great hotel. Clean, great rooms and perfect if you are going for an American Girl store visit. The package that includes the doll bed and the turndown service is amazing. I highly recommend this!
