My son attended NECC over a decade. There is ZERO transitional programs and despite having full-time staff no substantial vocational program (Walgreens is the only employer). If you anticipate your son/daughter living at any level of independence, this is not your school.

Teachers and direct caregivers, nurses are wonderful. I felt that CEO is too political (although it does help with fundraising). Loved direct caregivers, was not impressed with a program as a whole. Found it concerning that on Glassdoor website only 25% of employees approve of CEO.

My son has the best care and is learning skills that he lacks in and is on a correct and punctual scheduale inwhich I struggled with his autism spectrum disorder! This opportunity is best choice for mysons rwurn home. I extreemly recamend anyone when with questions reguarding ASD TO contact NECC. They are giving me a blessing with such caring staff who take each job serious and are professional but so caring! From the bottom of my heart I am a gratful mother of a young 3yr old who is currently receiving the care he needs and beyond!

I thought this place was the best to send my autistic son but I am realizing now that he is out (since the pandemic began) how little they actually did for him. He suffered majorly academically because of their behavioral focus, not to mention there is little to no peer socialization.

I would consider all options beyond the bells and whistles of this school. Money does not make the institution. People who genuinely care and want to make a student succeed do.

I haven't used their services, but they hired an unemphatic bully who cares little for the well-being of others, on the spectrum or not, to work there, so I doubt it's very good. Erika Ferreira is certainly unfit for this species of work.

I am writing this post for anyone who decides to work at this organization and specially if you are out of State candidates please be careful. If you fail in the Calm P training on the first time you can re take it after a month. And then you can't continue with other trainings. First time I experienced this in a job.
However I don't think its wise to judge anyone from a training without seeing them actually working on the program. They do have great benefits but I had a very bitter experience. Trainers need to prepare new employees for a long period. Not everyone is able to complete a physical training within 2 days . This needs to change .The process should be much smoother specially when you are an Out of State candidate. Human Resources did refund my paid training and sign on bonus. No one should have a hard time in such a reputed company !
