The seating could finally be renewed ... since I can think, nothing has changed .... everything else is ok.
Not a nice venue, but currently one of the most important stages in the country. The artistic quality in the field of music theater is clearly of supraregional importance.
The most beautiful theater in the region with great plays and great actors!
Functioning air conditioning, there are good things to drink and small bites to buy
Good idea for decent prices.must be easy to support.
It was nice to be in the theater again. The restrictions are justifiable. The artists did their best. An impressive evening
We were at the show the beauty and the beast. Despite the heat on this day, it was inside, although as good as sold out, pleasantly tempered. Very good gradation of each row. Enough parking around it. We were very satisfied with this theater.
Very experimental, very minimalistic and often modernized. Unfortunately, not my personal taste at all. Some pieces should perhaps be left as they were written.
The NTM is both paradise and hell for me. Most of the operas are stunning (Norma, Rigoletto, Don Giovanni, etc. etc.), but some other operas are catastrophically staged (eg La Wally, Fidelio, Lohengrin): noise parallel to the music, story so much twisted that it is about the opposite of the original piece tells, singers pulling the hair of other singers ... in the end you see a new piece that has little to do with music or with the original piece and rather in the direction of gloomy and hopeless. If you want that, then why not. But otherwise, check out the staging first ...
Very experimental performance. But excellently done.
Very easy to reach by public transport. Interesting dates.
My first time in the Opera. I absolutely will go back. Great artist. Confrotable seats. In the midtime is possible to buy drinks and snacks for a good price.
I only like it to a limited extent because there is no possibility of an elevator. Disabled people have to struggle up a fairly long staircase and there are no toilets upstairs
Great ensemble, great productions, great scenery - we have never been disappointed. Only the house itself is getting old, the upcoming basic renovation (2019) overdue. I look forward to nice theater and opera evenings in the new house!
As one of the world's largest multi-storey houses, the Nationaltheater Mannheim is a great place to enjoy drama, ballet, opera or musicals. For students, there is a fantastic program on the regional schools, which allows heavily discounted entries.
They have great opera musicians and modern dancers. Really like their performances. Top for music evenings.
Unfortunately they are saving on live music for their dancers lately, volume of playback music turned up in part so loud you need earplugs.
Their own theatre performances could use some less boring presentation.
Looking forward for great plays again during Schillertage.
A national theater with a very good reputation beyond the borders of Mannheim. Unfortunately, it is getting completely old. Tattered seating, frayed flooring. The visitor does not feel comfortable in such an environment.
This place is supposed to be quite a big deal in terms of the arts scene in the region. There is a decent number of shows happening at any point in time, some even in English. Prices are very reasonable. We caught an opera performance here in the front row. If you're feeling artsy, why not?
Peter Grimes: thrilling - musically as well as scenic!
Four branches of theater that offers something for every demand. There is even once a month a very entertaining senior afternoon with performances by well-known solo artists of the NTM in the canteen!
I can only say something about ballet.
But that's only the best.
Unbelievable what is offered to us as an audience.
First class.
Breathtaking.
I've been a total fan for 2 years.
Highly recommended .... Midsummer Night's Dream ... a dream .... have a look!
Tip: The money for the first row is always worth it !!!!!!
Feel free to go
Opera is democratized
Ballet always nice. It is time that the building is renovated. The rating refers to the building.
Unfortunately, the theater is dying out more and more due to the cinema world. Very nice atmosphere
Very nice, outside and inside. Seats are quite comfortable too and the theater is entertaining everytime.
Do not get food or drinks there, the prices are insane.
Nice for the kids, the Monnemer music rocket ... Well done.
I can only recommend a visit to this theater - I always enjoy being there!
Simply a great facility that deserves all public support.
Culture is for everyone!
It doesn't look brand new anymore, but the theater in particular is impressive!
Great show, unfortunately, the decor has the best times already behind ..
A great meeting point for opera and theater lovers. Very elaborate and attractive productions with good actors.
In summer, however, the building becomes very hot when the room is full.
A bit too "modern" for my taste but they have great productions here for the Opera
Unfortunately, there are no more suitable performances for my taste.
The classical pieces are partly too modern staged (without great scenery etc.).
They get so much money from the city and yet they do not invest that much. The chairs are old and everything looks a bit old.
A great experience ,nice italian opera
But the building and inside it is not very magneficent
The entire theater is in need of renovation. Toilets get dirty quickly. Cleaning is no longer carried out for late performances
Very nice as always.
Dance music was not good. Reserved seats were wrong. But Opera as always great
Ring on an evening is a lighthouse of the NTM. The orchestra and the concentrated, large band of soloists and not least the narrator are burning a fireworks of music and song, so that this house may once again count with Wagner among the first houses in Germany. Go there! The ring for beginners and connoisseurs.
Unfortunately no air conditioning but otherwise very nice staff and ambience
The National Theater in Mannheim is one of the top addresses and an absolute must for every classical fan. I love it.
Nice staff, everything is great, only the ventilation is not good enough.
I would like to give this theater minus stars. I was disturbed and depressed for two days. I was here with my class and saw a play where old people got undressed. It was very long and very uncomfortable in the room. I'm just glad it's over.
Breathtaking. Very stylish, not without reason a national theater.
The National Theater will soon be renovated. My long-term impression relates to the condition until the end of 2017. The building is very dilapidated. Security standards are not met. The game program is very mixed. Unfortunately, the quality of the chosen productions has steadily decreased in recent years. Even a new director only made things worse. While other theaters have felt a turnaround in recent years, the Nationaltheater Mannheim continues to decline. Clearly visible from almost empty ideas. Nevertheless, the staff you meet are almost always friendly and helpful, even though they know about the situation of the theater. I have great hope that the renovation will soon take place, or is the city of Mannheim unwilling to build on previous successes? You might think ...
Great performers and stage productions as well as a large number of listed pieces!
Needless nudity. You know that when you go to the NTM.
Great staging of Hono Faber.
