We very much like to come to the opera, the spectacle is no longer recommended after the change of directorship and the visit of the in my view completely alienated and misrepresented, effective and Klamaukheischenden interpretation of Schiller's robbers. Let's see what's new.

First of all to my person: am 35 years old, married, father of a 1-year-old son, have two nationalities - German and Polish, grew up in Darmstadt and moved 2 years ago in Mannheim. In the past I have often and gladly gone to the theater - mainly in Darmstadt, more often also in Frankfurt. My heart is attached to Darmstadt, because the theater is modern there, and the modern pieces also appeal to me in terms of content; but is a matter of taste. In Mannheim we wanted to go to The Brandner Kaspar and the eternal * life with my wife and friends. Tickets were very expensive: 30 EUR / card. I considered disproportionate. At first our map was sold after reservation and we had to reorganize - ok, provided the theater. However, I did feel the communication at the cash register, with the lady who came out of this mistake happened unprofessional and almost annoyed. That's the one topic. The other was, unfortunately, I was very ill before the event - bad luck - our friends then attended the event without us. After a week later at the cashier we asked if we could get a card for a discounted show out of goodwill, or any other alternative, even with the hint that we had agreed to an alternative when buying a ticket, said the same Lady who had sold our tickets before: no, but you have had bad luck and there you need not talk to the treasurer, your supervisor. All I'm saying is a pity - that was the last time in this outdated national theater whose employees are just as outdated in their way of communicating and acting. Too bad - we go back to Darmstadt. Cards cost half for truly ingenious events and you are always greeted with a smile. Bye Nationaltheater Mannheim. Dust yourself.

Nice, if old theater with friendly staff and mostly good plays. Every now and then touring productions from other theaters in summer.
It could be renovated in some places, but I've seen worse theaters.

Many different performances from classical to modern, and especially the new formats in the studio are recommended.
The NTM has a lot of benefits and benefits for students, just look at the website (25-50% and last minute, i.e. 3 days before showing, rates)!

It is the (!) Theater and opera house of the region.
Time to find parking, you should calculate. The parking lot at the house is very often occupied 20 minutes before the start of the performance

Outstanding theater in the region. Even if the architecture certainly takes getting used to, the Ntm is certainly a light of the local cultural landscape.
Various stages are used and a wide audience is addressed.

I've been there with small children, teenagers and adults ...
of course not every staging meets my taste ... but that's the way it is with art.
Such a wide and high-quality offer cannot be found anywhere else within a radius of 50-100Km

The fault is mine, I read that it was Aida's work without looking that it was not the original. Stage, staging and especially the costumes (some with street clothes) I did not like anything, totally disappointed ... But said, the fault is mine for not knowing well where I was

Grandiose theater with a fabulous effect as soon as you enter the foyer. Friendly and authentic team,
as well as a wide selection of highly amusing pieces for people who would like to see more contemporary pieces.
You actually feel right at home there. After the play you are not thrown out straight away, but can have a sip and talk to the great actors.
