Super 80s whimsy with a lot of geschischte you can almost smell

The National Theater really has a lot to offer. The actors do their work more than professionally and are therefore really good. The selection of pieces is always very good. The theater itself is big. The seats are not the most comfortable but it is fine.

The new, slowly fading National Theater has a great program, classical, poetic, oblique and experimental. The Schiller Days, International Theatertage, new the Civic Theater, etc. together form a dense offer. A visit is always worthwhile.
The theater restaurant is strangely simple. Be careful there with top-heavy chairs, otherwise you'll ever knock your glasses on your desk or the next table when you reset the chair. Transport links are great, if necessary you can walk from the station on foot. Motorists should arrive early, at double events all seats within hours are occupied.

My fair lady with a lot of personnel was sensational. Good job. Many thanks to everyone involved for the wonderful evening of fantastic entertainment. It is a shame that not all seats could be sold and that the majority of the guests only rose to applause in the last few minutes. The performance in German allowed all viewers to participate even more in the story and young people could also be enthusiastic. Great.
The orchestra (yes it is still played live) was phenomenal. I would definitely buy tickets for My fair Lady again!

Expired grubby carpets and bed-covered beige balustrades convey a morbid charm of yesteryear. Uninformed employees, a catastrophic parking situation without reference to alternative options, bad, pointlessly overpriced bar but free wardrobe?
Acoustics, light and projection of the subtitles / languages at best in the midfield, atmosphere boring to inconspicuous, stage technology little imaginative and not variable enough.

Tip to be recommended again and again. World class level!

Standing ovations in the NTM. I also found the performance very good, but not outstanding.

Very need of renovation house ... but with great program!

I was in the play "the beauty and the beast". I can only recommend it. Great actors, great orchestra.
But the best part was the staff. Have looked after us and me very well.

The quality of a bid varies by piece, but is always entertaining and I have never regretted the visit. The seats are really very uncomfortable and should be re-padded urgently.
Free parking at the AOK parking lot are given and within walking distance.

The New Year's concert was very nice, like every year. Time passed far too quickly.

We are always happy in the National Theater. The stagings are often quite to our taste, the atmosphere is great, it is always an (almost) perfect evening. We only wanted a fairer price for the drinks, which is definitely too expensive.

Opera house can be unreservedly recommended and actually worth five stars. Acting is an imposition, but that's a matter of taste. Unfortunately, drinks are expensive. The New Year's Eve ball was anything but great.

Theater / Opera in the middle of Mannheim. Older year, narrow seats, some lamps broken / no longer available. Wonderful singers with charismatic voices. Great acoustics, great orchestra, good view from all seats. Varied program from classic to interpretation. Short ways to the place. Large foyer, snacks in the foyer and at the back of the screening room. Nice staff, swiftly at the cloakroom. We like to come here. By car, early arrival is an advantage, as the number of parking spaces at the theater is limited .. Good tram connection.

The renovation should come, the tour behind the scenes top !!!

I do not need a renovation. Great operas with outstanding voices, a powerful choir and a good orchestra are more important to me. All this can be found in the NTM

I think most of the performances are great! A must for every theater fan :) especially if you are a student;)

A thoroughly great theater with an exciting, varied program (opera, plays for all ages, workshop days, etc.) with many talented authors (Theresia Walser!) And top actors. The atmosphere here is very informal without losing the charm of a theater. The theater bar also invites you to linger.

Performance good, equipment miserable Chair had to be repaired in the break by the technician. I would not mind if the old box would be completely demolished and the debris would be unloaded in front of the technical venue. Scrap to scrap

Great acoustics, nice, clean and tidy building. First class musicians, singers and actors.

Good moving stage, it's fun to watch how it moves. The program, the orchestra and the performers are also very good.

A small bistro is located in the entrance and a bar is of course also available. Likewise, as usual in a theater, the prices at the bar are slightly higher ... For me, a normal theater ...

Family Christmas concert and Hansel and Gretel - both great!

After we had a subscription to the National Theater in Mannheim for 10 years, we have now canceled the subscription.
Unfortunately, the level of the plays and the actors since the appointment of the director of the National Theater in Mannheim has worsened in our view, so that we no longer want to stick to a subscription. The pieces are staged according to Scheme F and are reminiscent of a mixture of slapstick and soap. Acting performances are not recognizable.

Too bad, we were enthusiastic spectators and subscribers for years. We remember wistfully of extraordinary productions and expressive actors.

The parking situation was not optimal, but we felt comfortable and the hall was good

Great repertoire in all branches of music and drama. Cast with first-class personnel. However, high-priced space that is justified by the performance. The National Theater is getting on in years and will be rebuilt soon.

Great program with very fair student prices. Last minute tickets for around 10 . Do not miss out on this one.

National Theater is worth seeing, "The robbers" are not

Super theater with very good actor in "Danton's death". However, the theater is a little older, so the seats are very uncomfortable or even broken. A renovation would be necessary.
