My brother recommended I stay here in my trip to Rome last January, and as he said it "it's the best place in the capital." He wasn't wrong. Both myself and my family loved the hotel!
You can feel the warmth of the history, and the kindness of the staff made us feel very welcomed. We loved our stay in Rome so much we considered extending it.

Highly recommended!

Our stay was amazing! We we're upgraded to a deluxe room with complimentary Butler service - a real treat! The room was decorated with love flowers upon our arrival, and everyone has been incredibly cheerful and helpful with any questions. There is a tea ceremony in the afternoon, a champagne ceremony in the evening, and live music constantly in the main lobby area. The location is in East Rome. We like walking, and this hotel is close enough to all major landmarks that we've only needed to take a cab one time - everything is walkable if needed. This is an amazing hotel!

Nice bar and our waiter was very nice and helpful. Drink prices are what you would expect at a place like this. Comfortable lobby. Live music (guy playing violin to accompany music from his MacBook, though he did take requests)

The worst hotel in Italy, even though Zola went down to prepare the novel of one of his "three cities": a receptionist who must believe that its capital is still that of the world, and therefore can hardly love the Parisians , an evening service to prepare the room at 22:30 despite the "do not disturb" hanging on the door, a cup of fruit offered on arrival but embarked illico presto by the chambermaids in the morning, the prohibitive extra cost of a Postage stamp by the concierge who requires cash payment ... in short! only to sleep there is enough, not far from the station Termini from where to leave as soon as possible of this city in ruin where swarm herds pilgrims of tourists.

We stayed here last year and had an amazing experience!! The hotel is beautiful, the staff extremely friendly and helpful, and the food exceptional! We left Rome to go to Capri and forgot lots of money in the safe. On the ferry to Capri we received an email from Sandro Danesi, their manager, notifying us they had found money in the safe. Because we would not be returning to Rome, and we only going to be in the Amalfi Coast for 3 days, the general manager brought the money to us in Sorrento. These people went above and beyond to make our stay in Italy incredible. If you go to Rome, please stay here, you will not regret it!!!!

Classy hotel with top service. Conveniently located a short walk from the subway and the Rome's main train terminal.
We had the pleasure of staying at the hotel for a few weeks for a big anniversary holiday. The butler service was great about making sure we had everything we needed! They happily treated us to either in-room afternoon tea or in-room morning cappuccino on the occasions we desired those, and offered to help out with pressing our clothes and unpacking and packing our luggage. We used the butler to launder a few items, and the clothes were returned softer than they were when new!
The concierge personnel seemed a little put out but that was easily overlooked by the great butler service.
The "American style" breakfast buffet here is the best we have ever encountered. (See my review for Lumen Cocktails & Cuisine).
The best part of our stay, though, was the AMAZING MORNING BREAKFAST STAFF who went above and beyond to be accommodating and genuinely friendly. They are a shining star for St. Regis Hotels and they will be a big part of our fond memories of Rome.

The location is close to Termini Station. The lobby was recently refurbished and is beautiful. The service and the room I received were not the standard of a 3 star hotel. When I arrived there was no bellman at the front to collect my luggage. He appeared to be standing inside without observing is a guest was approaching. When I entered the lobby there was a group of employees standing around the concierge's desk chatting. The gentleman responsible for check in said nothing to me and walked away from the group to his desk. The concierge informed me that gentleman at the desk would assist me with registration. I am a SPG member and have Gold for life status. I have spent more than 550 nights in SPG properties. Never once was my status recognized. I received a room in the category booked. The room was not one you would give your best customer. The walls were dirty and the paint peeling from the bathroom ceiling. The room was smallish, but has high ceilings with very traditional decor. I think the bed is a full or queen. It is comfortable as expected with this level property. There's no signs directing guests back to the elevator, pay close attention if you are very far from the elevator. It will be difficult to find in the Warren of halls on each floor. St. Regis makes a big deal about their afternoon tea and their tea sommelier. I went to the lobby for tea around 5:00 pm. The lobby was virtually deserted. There were many employees talking with each other or looking at their cellphone. Not one said anything to me. I sat down and waited 15 minutes for a waiter. I ordered tea. There's no tea sommelier. The tea was brought to my table with 2 tea bags hanging out of the pot. No high tea is made with bags-ever. The sandwiches were salmon and chicken salad. The bread was dried out. The tiny sconces were ok. The tiny pasteries were good. I sat there for over an hour and a half before I was asked if I wanted additional hot water. The tea is 26 euro. I do not recommend this hotel. The service is not at the 5 star level, nor are the rooms.

I attended an afternoon tea and the egl Vitae Essentia event inside the hotel and it was beautiful, as well as for the location, the staff is very kind, just pass it by just out of curiosity in the hall, you will be amazed.

Perfection at its best! Luxury Lobby! Stayed there 1 week, Dec. 28-Jan. 5, 2020 Walking distance to most major cites! Connected building to Fountain, Fontana della Mose, superb! Across the street from the fountain, church, Chiesa di Santa Maria della Vittoria, an amazing church not really on the tourist radar! 1 block away from the fountain and plaza de la Republic, a plaza of columns and restaurants, roundabout car street around an amazing fountain, plaza which also included Church Santa Maria de Angeli, popular church! 2 blocks from the away from the Terminal, a little shady area, but no impact on hotel! Across the street from a tour agency, perfect! Not in my price range, but no regrets! Made my trip to Rome a dream!

Beautiful and luxurious hotel just a few steps from Piazza della Repubblica. The decor is rich and nice and the service is excellent. It is also possible to have an aperitif or tea always accompanied by small delicacies. The property also has a nice spa and a small fitness area.

I used it for my honeymoon stay in Rome in Italy. The atmosphere, the room and the staff were great, and the breakfast was delicious with many types.
The bar at the hotel was also very nice.
I want to stay here when I go to Rome again.

Absolutely top quality hotel. I have stayed in Marriott and SPG properties for over 300 nights and this is one of, if not the, best hotel I've ever been in. Located right in the middle of Rome it puts you right where you want to be.

Hotel of the past, not a show of flashy and bold luxury, but luxury as it should be, not for everyone but above all not for the enriched peasants! Aristocrat tasteful and the impeccable style!

Excellent because it is simple and elegant. The super professional staff, the manager represents a father figure for the structure, and the dishes are perfect. I got to see some rooms and was amazed. The welcome is excellent, and every day I return I always feel at home.

Hotel Mediocre posing as a decadent hotel without having the qualities. The Foyer is a parking lot for cars and customers are mainly made up of members of the most remote American province. The building site for the reconstruction of the facade often obstructs the passage through the pavement. The Management does not provide an answer in this regard. Definitely obsolete

We stayed 3 nights for our 40th anniversary and it was fantastic. The hotel is being renovated but because of the professionalism and hard work of the staff this had no detrimental effect on our stay. Our room overlooked the rear of the hotel and was very quiet, great for a peaceful nights sleep. We ate in the restaurant and again this was of a standard you would expect from a top hotel. So great hotel, great staff, great location.

Have you ever stayed at a hotel that you didn't want to leave? That will be your experience at the St. Regis in Rome. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff addressed our every need. The concierge is more than attentive, they will exceed your expectations. The manager wasn't just courteous, he was genuinely concerned about our experience. The St. Regis has become our home away from home in the Holy City

While the service was excellent, the rooms have a Dated interior that that borders between run down and intentionally garish in decor. Marks on walls and wear in bathrooms was evident in both of our rooms. The hotel bones have charm and the staff is attentive and did what they could to help the situation (loud construction on the hotel), but I wouldn't stay again.

Spent a week here in what I believe is called a Junior Suite, which had a bedroom with king size bed, a bathroom with a shower that could fit a small army, bathtub, bidet, dual sinks, and a toilet. There was a "dressing area" and a living room with some seating. It was pretty incredible.

The butler service was fantastic for the little we used it.

My only complaint is that we couldn't figure out how to turn the TV off. (Don't laugh, it's not a normal television) so we just unplugged it.

The lobby, halls and ancient elevator were all amazing to just look at, having been recently renovated. The staff were over-the-top friendly and generous.

If you can afford it, I highly recommend staying here.
