Great food, friendly service, very reasonably priced, great views ...love it!

We had dinner here on Saturday, Dec 2. I had a 5pm reservation and they were able to seat us a little early. We had a beautiful view on the outside patio. There was also live music, which was fantastic.

When we met our server, things began to go south. I DID NOT catch her name, but throughout he meal, she was rude, abrupt, and made several mistakes with our food. I leaned over and asked if her name was Erica, which another person in my party confirmed. Based on reviews I had read about poor service, it seemed every unhappy customer had Erica as a waitress. I am not quite sure why she still has a position here, frankly.

The next issue I had was with my food. Others in my party like their meal. I was extremely unhappy. I ordered the surf and turf kabobs. They are $22 and supposed to include a shrimp kabob with BBQ sauce and 2 tenderloin kabobs.

I asked for my meat rare, it was well done. MORE disappointing though was the fact it was not tenderloin. I work in a similar industry and deal with meat and meat cuts daily. This was sirloin at a tenderloin price. I truly felt duped because had it been described accurately, I would have gotten something else. I only chose that because it was advertised ON THE MENU as tenderloin. I don't know if that is typical for the restaurant or if they ran out of tenderloin unexpectedly that day, but I should have been advised of such. I should have asked for a refund or a replacement meal, but I am, always hesitant to do so.

Others on my party enjoyed their food, though one person had to wait nearly 20 minutes longer after the rest of us started eating before her dinner (lukewarm) showed up. This is a waitress error, not necessarily reflective of the kitchen, since it obviously had been sitting a bit. Another person didn't get their French fries until we had all finished eating. On a good note, he said the fries were the best he had ever tasted.

All in all, the experience had highs and lows. The most disappointing was the error on the beef with my kabobs (tenderloin and sirloin have a totally different texture and flavor). I also believe my meat was reheated, as it had that strange grainy texture that occurs when beef is reheated. The factcthat I ordered it rare was completely overlooked. On the good side, the view was amazing, the atmosphere was casual but welcoming, and the music was a nice touch. I would give this restaurant another try and another review if I ever get a coupon or something. I am on the mailing list

Just finished having dinner and it was great, Surf & Turf was awesome, I like my meat well done but also fear getting it chared. It was perfect, literally melted in my mouth. Great service and cook even stopped by to check in on us. Great job. Blessings to you business.

The staff was friendly, the flounder had the consistency of oatmeal and was more pepper than fish. The only item that tasted good was the broccoli and the lemonade.

Great tasting food. , have not been disappointed yet . Over looking lk monroe . Food was served soon enough since everything is made fresh. Good toons also !

We love coming here for the food it is always good, even on a busy night a table for 2 can usually be seated pretty fast. The service can be spotty, we have had really great servers and some not so great. One of the bartenders is super crabby we avoid ordering drinks when she is there. But otherwise the view and atmosphere is great. Sometimes a little orange cat hangs out outside and we give him some scraps.

Get the blackened fried catfish with crawfish etouffee. One of the best meals I think I've ever had. Fried okra was ok, probably would change it for the onion rings.

I had the fried haddock and fries and cole slaw and hush puppies for $11. It is awesome, 3 huge pieces of fish. I could only eat one piece. I've also had their delicious crab cakes and wow, just the best. The help is super and it's a great atmosphere. We go there often and can't wait to take our company there.

A party of 10 or 12 of us walked in, unannounced last Friday evening. We were seated promptly, Kimberly, our server, was the utmost of professionalism. Food and drinks came out timely, she was spot on with drink refills, and checked on us often. The food was fantastic! Almost all of us had separate checks. She got them to us with no mistakes or fuss and in a very timely manner. Great first experience here! Props to Kimberly, the kitchen, and management!

Better than expected food and service with reasonable prices.

We found this place on our way back from a vacation. Its a casual restaurant by the marina and they have very good selection of choices and the food was really good. Service was friendly as well. Its not right off the interstate but if youre nearby or like to venture out off an exit when you travel, this is a great place to stop.

Awesome! Such a beautiful view on the Lake Monroe waterfront. We keep going back as the food is that good. We loved the softshell crab. The New York strip was huge. Great food. Personable staff and a caring chef make this place a local go-to spot

Seafood dishes too spicey. I would really like to see some broiled fish with melted butter, garlic powder and parsley and a shrimp scampi done the same way.

Their food and Bar has always been excellent everytime I go! And of course they are right on the St. Johns River. They also have local live entertainment most weekends!

Excellent place to dine! Our server Kimberly was outstanding and provided great insight about the menu and specials. The food and portions were on point. I would recommend this restaurant any time of day or night!

The steak was amazing! Both mine (ribeye) and my husband's (filet) were perfectly cooked and flavorful. Large portion sizes and delicious sides guarantee that we will go back.

Arrived at 6:30 PM with reservations only to wait 45min to get sat then another 45min to get food.

Beautiful location! Damien was our waiter and he was courteous and gracious. He was eager to make sure our experience was exceptional! We ordered the scallops with hushpuppies and coleslaw and the spongebob crab boil with a side of shrimp. Scallops and crab legs were outstanding! Beverages were ice cold! Superb experience! Eat here!

Service was a little slow initially, but the food and atmosphere make up for the delay. The hushpuppies are great! The seafood is spectacular and the linguine for landlubbers was awesome as well. Worth the drive from Daytona or traveling interstate 95 by Sanford.

Watched people seated after us served first, never got help. Left.

The atmosphere is beautiful. Food was excellent and the wait staff was exceptional.Had the gator bites as an appetizer which were cooked to perfection not chewy and hard at all. Very flavorful. The fish and chips which was also done to perfection the fish was very flaky.for dessert at the chocolate cake which will definitely get anyone's heart racing.

I only have one thing to say,,,our server Erika ruined the entire experience,,,rude,,and had no positive energy or knowledge of menu options,,,we won't be back

Good food good service, 2 of the 4 meals came out wrong. Both were a simple "don't put this on my burger" and they put it on both so I don't know what happened but it was tasty otherwise.

Took our parents for theirc41st anniversary tonight. The food was great. But wanted to give a 5 star on the staff. They went beyond their call of duty. Seem like every time we turned around another waiter was asking us how things are, what else can we do. The crazy thing was they didnt even know it was their anniversary till one waiter brought a lobster tail out saying the chef didnt like the tail that came out for the order so he made a new one. I said thank you that was nice of him and to do so without us saying anything and it's their anniversary so that makes it even nicer. So great job tonight!!

Out of two appetizers we wanted to order... The one we picked since the others were unavailable not so great. Spent over $100.00 was refunded 1/2 cost of the appetizer after we complained.

Some decent dishes. And some terrible ones. The layout of the restaurant is awkward to the point where staff didn't want to seat large parties at the same table. Half of our party's food came well before the other half. The first group was finishing dinner as food arrived for others.

Fantastic seafood and gorgeous riverside dining. Perfect for a special dinner/lunch/brunch and a scenic walk. Prices are very reasonable for the portion size.

My wife gets pictures on Instagram all the time so we went and try the gator bites they were delicious

Conveniently located right on lake Monroe they provide an atmosphere that is family friendly with responsive staff. A full bar, delicious food, live music and wonderful view. We always take our friends and family who visit from out of state and walk away with smiles from the positive and fun experience with St. Johns on the river.

Crab cakes .scallops. Shrimp and hush puppies were delicious .Cool weather so we had outside patio facing lake to ourselves. John our waiter was great. Ask for my food to be lightly battered and fried and it came out exactly as I ordered it.

Had Soft Shell Crab sandwich with sweet potato fries. Done perfectly by Chef.

Fantastic seafood. Get it all blackened! Cook is cajun trained, so his seasoning is to die for. Lobster, scallops, and haddock are especially delicious. Grits are solid. Fries are huge curled slices of potato, and perfectly crispy. Would come again if I'm ever in the area.

TOTAL DISASTER! Went there yesterday. It was not busy when we arrived. The Bartender Kim, seated us, we ordered and waited. Then we waited and waited some more. 40 minutes for the food to come out. It was mediocre to say the least. After 45 minutes I still had not received a second glass of water, NO-ONE ever came to check on us even though there were plenty of servers walking around. After we ate, a male server took the empty plates and then we waited again. AND WAITED 20 minutes for the check. I finally walked inside and asked for a manager, never got to talk to one. To my (not) surprise

Great location. Good seafood. Limited beer selection though.
Very nicely located, right on the lake. No competition. Ample parking. Outside seating with great view of lake (both screened and open). Seafood choice was vast, simple and very much affordable. Most fish were offered in blackened, grilled or fried. Very reasonable prices. Would highly recommend given location....

My food was good, my friends scallops were the size of a dime, she was left very hungry . I had to share my fish and chips with her.

Nice location overlooking Lake Monroe but the food was only so so. I'm not sure the grouper sandwich was actually grouper but in any case it was dry.

The view and hostess is fantastic. The bar seems very underused. Drinks took a while but was worth it. Fun, but perhaps older atmosphere. Great for any occasian for family.

this was our last time here the service was horrible the food was aweful and on top of that food poison its pretty bad that one of your servers is on drugs and does not need to working in this environment and i can say food poison
