St. Cloud Public Library

It's always 1 in the bunch wit something STUPID 2 SAY, SARAH SCHMIDT, there is nothing absolutely nothing wrong with the saftey & security at the Library...I've on 13th ave n for 8 yrs, nd our neighborhood is nice & quiet we have no issue's on our street or our neighborhood, the station is on the block u can c the the station from the Library...... If u scared stay at home, but dont come in my neighborhood saying that it or the Library needs security cuz it doesn't nd it is safe!!!!!!!!! Like the old saying goes if you call the !!!!!! I always walk to the Library day & whenever the sun goes down & I can count on my hands how many times the Library has had violence associated wit it!!!!! Get a life & quit trying to find things to complain about!!!!!!!!WOW SOME PEOPLE ANIT GOT NOTHING BETTER 2 DUE WITH THERE SELF!!!!!

The library is deluxe in many ways, but the atmosphere never feels welcoming or friendly. The librarians barely, sometimes never, actually acknowledge you when checking out items. Is it so hard to simply say, "hello"?

Friendly and fun for the whole family or a quiet place to get away from it all.

Since moving to Saint Cloud...one of the only places in this city that does not suck. Restaurant food tastes like cardboard, but the library has lots of flavor and variety.

Check out the "Friends Of The Library Bookstore" located just inside the entrance of the Library. A great place to buy books.

Beautiful library! Easy to find spots that are quiet to research and study

Very large and we'll staffed library, a benefit to the community. Plenty of activities, presentations, and more. Coffee shop as well as rooms to use for business meetings, etc. Tons of free parking. Near a great local park/lake as well.

The security and safety of this library needs to be fixed. This is no longer a safe place for children and their families.

great River regional library is amazing at getting the books in that they don't have that you want to see on top of that the staff is amazing if you're having trouble keeping up with fines oryou're trying to get the scanner to work to email yourself some pictures and you run out of time. there was a staff member there who went so far as to scan them and personally email them to me so that I would have them instead of having a fine in my lap.

Great library, plenty of space, friendly staff. My only issue is bathrooms, no bathroom on top level. When doing homework, I have to pack all my stuff

Since we are not allowed to enter the library, I would say the service is awesome. I find books that I think I might like and they bring them out to me. I do miss the exercise I get from climbing the stairs though.

I absolutely love this library though I'm not much of a reader they do have a great majority of cds and dvds

This library is outstanding!! The children's reading area alone is amazing and huge. The adult area is huge as well. They offer free library cards which can be used to check out books, movies and audio. The library card also allows you to use the computer which has free internet. Large study areas and large conference rooms. So many books so little time!

Large clean open and still new looking facility. Lots of study rooms and larger meeting rooms as well. Great kids area for playing, reading and computers as well. Special children's bathrooms and program rooms. There is even a nursing room.

I love this library!! The staff have always been warm and inviting! I usually utilize the study rooms for my homework, they are perfect for that extra quietness and focus. My only complaint would be the lack of enforcing typical library rules, I.e teenagers using this as their "hang out" spot.. Talking loud, playing music loud on their phones, running up and down the walk-ways. If you need to study/work, GET A STUDY ROOM!! They've been a lifesaver!

I really enjoy this library. I am a St. Cloud State student, and I like to study here sometimes to get off of campus. Very quiet and clean, quieter and cleaner than the campus library. I just noticed that they got brand new computers and large monitors which is neat, although the old computers were very nice too. I love the GRIVER system, my hometown is Elk River and my library card still works in St. Cloud.

Absolutely love this library! Everyone is so nice and helpful. You can always find something that interests you here.

The building is beautiful and the staff are helpful when you approach them. However, I am often frustrated by the lack of enforcement of library rules--at least, I assume not running, not being loud or disruptive, and not talking on your cell phone are rules there. It's terrible sometimes in the computer area on the 2nd floor. The librarian station is about half a block away, and staff intervene only when things get really bad. I think they are too far away to notice when people are being disruptive. A lot of kids (and adults, for that matter) don't seem to have gotten the memo on how to behave in a library. I apologize for such negative comments. I just wanted to bring to the attention of library staff how the behavior of some patrons often leads to a frustrating experience for others. Thank you.

I think people should be able to rent movies no matter what rate it is as long as they have an adult's permission. And I think the library needs to take better care of their items.

From awesome events and programming to a huge selection of books, CDs, DVDs my family loves this place!

The St. Cloud Public Library is great!! It s clean, well organized, and designed beautifully. It s a great place to get work done or study. The library staff are always friendly and helpful. Signing up for a GREAT library card is very simple too. There is a vast catalog available at the library. Multiple resources are available at this location. An amazing public service that centers around the St. Cloud community

Wonderful, quiet, large library for all of your library needs. Highly recommended.

Great place to find a book. You can place a "hold" on a book and they will get it from another branch and let you know when it arrives.

Currently it is closed to public till further notice ,don't know why?

The staff there are really great and very helpful. However I think they need funding or donation to be able to get other printers because there was a line.

Beautiful building, lots of books and a huge area for children's books. Getting a library card is easy and their website is easy to use. after you make a login, you can pay fines, request books and lookup books. The library itself is big and easy to use.

A really nice library with a wide range of services, books, computers, music, etc. They also allow you to rent out space for free to meet with friends or do group research or whatnot, which is a really great benefit.

The new library is large and has a great selection of books and movies. It's just a shame that it's become a place that doesn't always feel safe. Almost every time I go, there's been an incident with a patron. It's become like an alternative social service agency.

Big beautiful complete library. Well set up, nice amount of computers, helpful staff. Used books for sale, kids' computer area, nice volume of books, big bright and airy. Great place to study, research and find your next book :)

Amazing library and Amazing staff. Would be top 10 libraries in the world. The staff is always ready to help no matter how trivial the task may be. What an amazing environment.
