Usually we love St. Angelo's and I'm surprised at my experience here tonight. I ordered a cheese pizza for pickup and was told it'd be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived very close to then and was told it'd just be a couple more minutes. Everything was fine to this point but fell apart after.

A few minutes after I had arrived and paid for my pizza a gentleman came in and looked at a menu and placed an order at the counter. I proceeded to wait for several more minutes and asked at the counter about my order and was then told my pizza hadn't been in the oven long and it's be several more minutes. A bit after this, the gentleman that ordered at the counter received his pizza. I asked him before he left if he ordered his food in the restaurant and he said he did. So, the guy that ordered at the counter about 35 minutes after I called in my order had his pizza before me!

I received my order about 5 minutes after that gentleman. When I asked the employee how that happened he told me that the later gentleman called his order in too. When I told him I saw the guy order and then confirmed with him that he indeed ordered in the restaurant the employee told me "Don't even worry about that." and then said "Sorry."

I will take the employee's advice and "not worry about it" and I also won't be back.

Wanted a New York style pizza for a long time now since moving up here from Miami. Went to New York and enjoyed their Pizza. Since living here in Atlanta we found St Angelo's the pizza is just like a New York style pizza, like the one I had when I went to New York. I enjoy their wings ohhh... the lemon pepper ones are awesome. Very family friendly.

Good lunch break is a usual scene to be here at St. Angelo's.
Having a pizza or wraps or wings given with beautiful pasta salads or other common frys does fit a choice of a hungry belly.
Moderately decorated place with choice of places to eat with bit of sunshine in the noon elevates the appetite.
Homely feeling.
Courtateous staff.

Wish to be here again some day.

Wish I could give 0 stars! Placed an order for pizza and wings Saturday night at 7:15 called to check on the order at 8:45 and was told it was about to leave the store at 9:45 (just before I was about to call back) they called me. They asked if our food had been delivered yet when I told them no I was put on hold they came back to the phone saying our wings were in the oven and the only thing they are waiting on. They acted surprised when I said to cancel the order and apparently the girl I was talking to couldn t do it so we had to wait for a call back from the manager to cancel the order. I understand things happen but the fact that we not only didn t get a phone call to let us know the order was delayed but someone lied to us and said it was about to go out when it most definitely wasn t!

TLDR: Canceled order after 2.5hrs, 3 phone calls and 1 lie!

I called them for delivery yesterday, ordered wings. I absolutely hate soft, undercooked wings. I begged the young girl on the phone to please make sure the wings came super well done. I repeated the request at various points throughout the conversation. I must have repeated it 4-6 times. Before hanging up I even asked the girl on the phone, are you sure that you identified clearly that I want my wings super crispy? She was like, yeah I noted it on the order. My friend who's house I was in, made jokes that I couldn't have made it any clearer without being rude. The wings arrive 45 min later, and of course, soggy, soft, undercooked. They can't follow simple directions, they don't deserve to be in business.

Wish I could give this hole a 0 star.. The worst customer service I've had! The second time I waited over 45 minutes for a simple wrap. The first time I never got served after I ordered. FIX YOURSELF!

Was one of the best, now sucks. Horrible customer service, wrong orders, 2 hours for a cheese pizza - sad cause 2 years ago I told everyone it was the best in Atl - Bella s please deliver to me.

This place is absolutely amazing. The French fries are seasoned to perfection. The lemon wings are tasty, garlic cheese bread, hmm tasty and gosh they have salads to wet any thirsty appetite. Live music on Friday seating outside. The service is great too. The staff does make you feel welcome! I shall return soon! Closed on Mondays.

The garlic knots are great and probably one of the most popular items on the menu. I appreciate that they have a pretty good special about every night of the week. It's a great local pizza spot that I have always enjoyed hanging out at.

We come to St Angelo s every time we come home from a climbing trip or any adventure. The pizza is amazing and the customer service is great. Can t go wrong with pizza by the slice (they are huge slices) or for a whole pie. Also, the patio is dog friendly which is a plus.

I wish I could give them zero stars!! HORRIBLE customer service!!! I waited over 45 minutes for two small pizzas only to be told they lost the ticket. I was then told they could make my order in five minutes. When I asked to speak with a manager, I had informed her this very reason was why we stopped coming to this restaurant. A few months ago, we ordered carryout and was told it would be 30 min. An hour and half later we still did not have a pizza. My husband demanded his money back. I ordered carryout today. Attempting to give them another chance, but this is downright ridiculous! I WILL NOT be patronizing this restaurant again!

If I were to write a tagline for St. Angelo's Pizza it would be, "St. Angelo's Pizza: pizza worth getting fat over." I have had some mediocre Pizza as of late, but have never been disappointed in the authenticity and flavor of the New York style that St. Angelo's serves up. I also highly recommend the knots and have been told by others (unfortunately, due to a serious stomach ailment, I am unable to consume most vegetables, I will stop) that the salads are always fresh and delicious. The staff is always friendly and ordering in or out is easy. I was going to post a picture of some of St. Angelo's offerings, but we ate them so quickly that I don't have any to post. That last sentence should pretty much sum up my review.

I really enjoyed trivia and wings.

I really enjoyed trivia and wings.

Salads were depressed, veggie pizza toppings were raw, dough was raw and pizza extra oily.

Not New York pizza by a long shot

St. Angelo s pizza are good and they have great cheese sticks. St. Angelo s pizza are different than usual because - all toppings on their pizza are raw(not baked with pizza), fresh, and added in moderation (not too many and not very less). One thing I was disappointed about was beer options - they have very limited beer options (You will mostly have local beer options - which is why minus one star). The best part about eating a pizza at St. Angelo s was their dough - it was fresh, non chewy, perfectly baked, right amout of sourness and fermentation. I would recommend this place for those who love fresh toppings on their pizza. We sat in the patio - the patio space is huge and it was great to listen to a musician too.

My 1st time here. My co-workers from Wellstar Vinings Health Park had pizza delivered for lunch and told me how good it was like NY. Pizza. From Brooklyn we know great pizza. I had the white cheese pizza personal pan. It was really really good. Will go back.

This place is hit or miss. The best time to go is during the week when it is not busty because the kitchen is the size of the glove box in your car and gets backed up. The wait staff is so so. On a good night it is enjoyable.

St Angelo's used to be the best pizza in Smyrna but now it's a bit hit or miss. It's better than the pizza chains in the area so I'll give them that, but oftentimes the food is really good or pretty bad. you can tell by the wait time whether the food will be good or not. if they are really busy the food will probably be trash, but when it's a slow day oh boy you're in for a treat. they have pretty good hot lemon pepper wings. and the garlic knots are freaking crack (that's a good thing). overall I would recommend them on a weekday for lunch (not dinner because they get too busy and the quality suffers).

Excellent pizza. Slices are huge and Tom's of toppings. I tired the BBQ chicken slice and was full. Had the veggie slice but couldn't eat it as I was too full. Will return! Prices were great and customer service was also!

Terrible experience . I called in a pick up order and was told that my pizza would be ready in 20-25 minutes. When I arrived at the restaurant 30 minutes later, they told me my pizza wasn t ready yet so I stood and waited for 10 minutes thinking that my food would be coming out of the oven at any minute. After 10 minutes of standing I decided to have a seat and remain patient. I sat in the seat for 20 minutes before deciding to ask where was my pizza. Apparently it was never made. No apologies no explanation just an invitation to talk to the manager. I informed her of the situation and she offered $6 off my pizza for my trouble. I felt this to be an unacceptable consolation as long as I had waited. I cancelled my order and will never return.

Give this spot a try "out of the blue"
First off, service was great. Only doing take out at the moment, we sat on their patio.
I got the Napoli with sliced sausage and meatball with banana peppers.
Pizza rocked. Meatballs and sausage were good. Not sure what all they make in house.
They did go a little overboard with the peppers though.
But, nothing that I couldn't fix at the table.
Overall good time, good experience.

Ugh. This used to be my favorite pizza place in the area. The quality of the food has gone down dramatically in the past six visits or so. Their chicken taste like rubber.

The other night I went to go eat and when I got there at a quarter till 10, 15 minutes before they close, all the chairs and stools were on the table and they said the kitchen was already closed. I confirmed that they closed at 10 and they agreed. Not good.

I definitely hope that the owner reads this review and gets their stuff together. Maybe I will try them again in a couple of months. But maybe not.

EDIT: thanks Sean for replying. This closing early happened on Friday 10.11.19 if you want address it w the MOD. Good luck. I hope you fix your issues bc we use to love this place.

I think this place is under rated to be honest. I go with my family and in-laws all the time. We have never had a negative experience. The staff is always willing to go out of their way to get you what you want and they are very accommodating. The food is great and so is the atmosphere. This place should have at least a 4 star.

Smyrna is blessed with some great Italian food and pizza places. St. Angelo's is absolutely one of those! The dedication to service, even in these rough times, is beaten only by the taste of their food! If you like having fresh toppings made onto the pizza and dough so good you want to eat the crust bare then give this place a try. The garlic knots are amazing too, especially reheated in the oven to be a bit crispy. My only suggestion would be to offer a tiered topping option (X toppings for $X, Y toppings for $Y) as adding individual toppings can get pretty costly compared to the specialty pies.

I don't know what happened in the last couple of years since we moved away. We wanted to go back to the best pizza in Atlanta, but the only thing that was the same was the name. The service was the worst ever and when the order finally did come out it, they forgot my wife's slice. When we looked in the kitchen there were four employees on their phone obviously indifferent. Will not back. Shame

Found this place back in 2008 in my quest to find the best pizza in Georgia.10 years later, I still haven't found a better slice. Whether it's a simple cheese or one of their specialty pies, It's all great. Even the wings and salads are top notch.

Beyond the food, the wait staff is great and Trivia is a blast.

I always recommend St. Angleo's when a friend or co-worker asks me where to get some good pizza!

P.S. order the garlic knots. In fact, order 2.

Their chicken curry with rice and naan is my go to, so flavorful. My other faves include the chicken tandoori wrap and Slumdog Millionaire Pizza. Laod back, casual atmosphere and great food. What's not to like?

So many things to say about this place. Certainly outgrown the location. Be very intentional about checking before you leave. This time, we had a pie uncut. Not cool when you're moving.

Another one of our frequent trivia spots that rarely disappoints. The calzones are always top notch and the service is USUALLY pretty good.

Cons: limited parking, tough to seat a group more than 6, and, if you win at trivia, their gift card system is a complete mess.

Great spot in Vinings to grab a pie. Lacks consistency overall.

I frequent St. Angelos a lot and have for many years. The place itself gives off a good vibe for what a pizza spot should be. The staff is mostly friendly and efficient.

The problem with St. A's is the consistency with their product. Some days you'll swear it's the best pie you've possibly had and the next you wonder if you accidentally stepped into CiCi's pizza?

The inconsistency makes it difficult to recommend to anyone who really enjoys great pizza.

If you're around town and looking for pizza definitely give them a try but be ready.

My review system
5 Stars: This place is phenomenally Great and near perfect!
4 Stars: This is a great place that I highly recommend and frequent often or wish to come to again over and over
3 Stars: This place is not Great or Bad. I'd certainly come again but wouldn't seek it out or highly recommend.
2 Stars: This place is below average and not somewhere I would come to again.
1 Star: This place is awful. I've had a bad experience that was unrectifiable.

Sitting in the Log Cabin Community Church parking lot and saw two different St Angelos delivery drivers hauling *** up Log Cabin towards the restaurant. Please obey the stop sign at Log Cabin and Woodland Brook also. And slow down!!!
