Great venue for watching shows, seen The Weeknd here. Plenty of staff to help you find your seat, and refreshments were available after the main entrance. Plenty of security so there wasn't any queuing outside. Recommend travel is planned in advance as there can be a long taxi queue after any show and can be an hour or more of waiting

Great venue for acoustics, been over 20 times and just love the place.
Would recommend anyone who has SSE power join rewards which gets early ticket sales.

If you have no intention on using this the venue itself is great for what it's for, great sound for the band you have bought to see
One gentleman complained about acoustics on a comedy show and he is correct as we had the same problem once.i put this down to who ever is doing the sound desk.we have seen roughly 7 shows of this nature and only once did we have this problem.
Will update after micky flanagan tonight.
UPDATE: After Mr flanagan last night I can say there was a slight echo until the sound man balanced and was fine after a couple of minutes.i do have to say that the HYDRO was built for music and it does this exceptionally.

- Location: It's hellishly easy to get to, being located slap bang next to the SECC and The Armadillo (On a side note, I love Glasgow names. We have the Hydro and the Armadillo, along the water from the squiggly and squinty bridges!)

- Size: It's heeeeeeyuuuuge!

- Image: It looks STUNNING at night, lit up likesome kind of demented UFO that crash landed on the Clydeside.

- Layout: The big open spaces running around the the man hall mean that you easily access any of the entrances, and there's plenty room for loads of people to mill about. There's also a few places to sit your drink/pizza/fish n chips dotted about as well, another good touch.

Spur of the moment to to the theatre.... Didn't count on the long walk to find the ticket office to collect our tickets and found ourselves rushing to our seats before the show started. But great venue.

Bought food in one of the takeaway bit a burger and chips. Burger bun was hard and stale burger was cheap and nasty. Price was crazy expensive! The hydro was freezing by end of concert. A massive wait of 45mins between artists and main act. Ariana Grande Amazing!!!

It's a modern arena. Parking is ok but took a little while to get out the multi-storey. Toilets are silly design so it's a bit of a crush to get in/out but clean and roomy when you're in! Seats were comfy enough and plenty of leg room.
