Great venue for gigs. Plenty of space and so easy to get in and out of. Lots of food choice once inside as well as bars etc. Never been in the sitting section but the standing area is great and easy to see the stage from any position. Parking really easy with the multistorey carpark next door. Sound has been amazing every time I have been. Well worth the trip to see your favourite bands!

I didn't find staff helpful at all when leaving the venue inexperienced, thank goodness we didn't have to leave in an emergency, also the mess that was left by adults disgusting room for improvement

Been to the Hydro many times. And i have never faced any disappointment. The parking is about a 1min walk from the main doors. The parking pay machines allow you to pay for your parking in advance to stop you having to wait at the end of the night. I have never had to wait any longer than 10mins to exit the car park or any longer than 5mins to get parked. As for the venue itself, it's a good size venue, something Glasgow has needed for a long time. The sound in the venue is amazing. The views from seats is extremely good and the floor area is pretty good too. There are plenty of toilet facilities and places to eat and plenty of doors to enter the arena to save massive amounts of queuing.
Negatives: Food is expensive, and there is about 10 staff at each counter serving even when only 1 customer is there. The stairs on the higher levels are very steep at points and yet their are no handrails to hold on to. I've seen some slightly older customers struggle a bit. Apart from those things i find the venue as a whole top notch and i'll be returning there many more times in the future.

Not too big, clean, good facilities, helpful staff. 1 star deducted for selling Irn Bru, which the drunken punters spill everywhere. They could use Irn Bru to stick the tiles on the Space Shuttle.

Fantastic venue, well designed and perfect for a concert. They have very good crowd control and are by far the best venue for large artists to play in Scotland. The artists that it attracts are fantastic.

If you are on the ground floor or 1 up your fine. Any further up it is like a concrete jungle with very steep concrete stairs and far too narrow walkways with hardly any bannister's. Also not good lighting outside as you walk towards the bridge heading to the premier inn.
Who ever designed the SSE Hydro was obs just for cramming as many folk in at once and to hell's fire with health and safety, someone must have been getting a backhander or in someone's pocket.

We went to see the Strictly come dancing tour show last night. The show itself was just what we expected but the auditorium is awful! It s remit must be pack them it tight never mind if they can actually see the show. As a Glaswegian I m saddened that this concrete mausoleum is the best concert facility the City can provide.

The size of the venue is fantastic; with the way it's built the acoustics of the room are superb and you can hear acts playing from the front all the way to the seated level 2 tiers perfectly clear. I have recently saw Kendrick Lamar here, More
