Been to the Hydro many times. And i have never faced any disappointment. The parking is about a 1min walk from the main doors. The parking pay machines allow you to pay for your parking in advance to stop you having to wait at the end of the night. I have never had to wait any longer than 10mins to exit the car park or any longer than 5mins to get parked. As for the venue itself, it's a good size venue, something Glasgow has needed for a long time. The sound in the venue is amazing. The views from seats is extremely good and the floor area is pretty good too. There are plenty of toilet facilities and places to eat and plenty of doors to enter the arena to save massive amounts of queuing.
Negatives: Food is expensive, and there is about 10 staff at each counter serving even when only 1 customer is there. The stairs on the higher levels are very steep at points and yet their are no handrails to hold on to. I've seen some slightly older customers struggle a bit. Apart from those things i find the venue as a whole top notch and i'll be returning there many more times in the future.
