I have been to the Hydro for a few events now. The parking is expensive but the venue is amazing. Very good selection of food and drink and the seating is comfortable. We didn't have a great view for the floor seats at the UFC but th atmosphere was great!

Went to see Queen & Adam Lambert 3rd Dec 2017. Great parking, well organized.
When entering the venue, your not allowed to take in big bags or plastic bottles. I had an unopened plastic bottle of water, but had to open it and pour into large cardboard cup that they provided.
The show was Fabulous!!
Amazing view from Level 2, block 229, Row S, Seat 210. I took binoculars, zooming into Adam was EXCITING!!
The sound, band, vocals, lasers and visuals were breathtakingly stunning! Goosebumps all over! Really enjoyed it!!

Went to see Deacon Blue with the VIP access. Brilliant as usual with the private bar and toilets closer by. Really friendly staff and well organised letting you know when the show is starting and no stampede when leaving. Great sound and atmosphere. Well worth the extra expense for the good seats and bar access etc. The only way to enjoy a show.

I like it. Been to see a few gigs and tumble, etc. for the munchkin and we've always had a good time and found the views to be great and the staff friendly and helpful. Prices on drinks, etc. not too bad either. Definetly recomend this venue.

We had tickets to see walking with dinosaurs which my 3 year old was really looking forward to seeing. However we got stuck in very slow moving traffic almost all of the way through Glasgow city centre. It was only when I used Google maps I realised that this queue carried on down our motorway exit and seemingly to the venues car park. I thought it odd at the time. Realising we were going to be at least 20 mins late for the start of the show I decided to do what others in cars in front were doing and jump out of the car with my little boy and leave my partner in the queue with the car. My little boy and I took the 12 minute walk to the arena rushing as fast as we could. Not easy or probably a good idea given I'm 7 and a half months pregnant. We got to the venue ten mins before the end of the first half. What astounded me was the number of other people entering at the same time having encountered the same problem with accessing the car park. Having read other reviews it seems to be a common problem for there to be tail backs onto the motorway from people trying to access the hydro car park. This isn't ideal. An email warning of issues, be it car park access, road works in the area etc would be very helpful in allowing people to plan their journeys accordingly so they can make it for the beginning of the show. I was heartbroken for my little boy who missed almost half of the show through no fault of our own

Drink is expensive, food is poor but works out ok if you have a drink first.
Tickets for gigs are being priced through the roof and the main reason this place will only see me from time to time.
The sounds and lighting are brilliant and like no other. Still not enough to justify prices, but usually see a good gig there.

Went to see Westlife May 28th problem with seating not SSE fault but staff were rude and unhelpful - after concert security staff were worse not at all helpful to a disabled customer in a wheelchair!!

Good, a shame that a venue of this size did not stock slim line tonic. This is not a bizarre request to go with a drink, and with.a turnout in excess of 10,000 I think a better part of catering to general.tastes in.drink.could have been met.

Excellent Concert - Shame about the staff

Excellent Concert - Shame about the staff

My wife and I went to see the Elvis Concert last night (Thursday 17th November) and were amazed at how they acheived such a high level of excellence. The Orchestra was amazing and the syncronization with the footage of Elvis was unbeleivable. Everyone we spoke to felt Elvis was actually in the room. This is a must see, it does the King proud even if he has left the building. We recommend this even to non Elvis fans as this proves the King still lives on.

The only real spoiler was the staff who consistantly wandered around blocking our view. We were sitting at the end of the row on ground level and the staff kept blocking the view. There were many complaints and they still persisted. We went to see a show not the staff plodding about distracting you from what is one of the best shows out there now.

Staff - get a grip and stop plodding about full of your own importance and let everyone enjoy the show.

Great venue for shows. My wife and I went to see Michael Ball and Alfie Boe. Fantastic evening and boy did they give value for money . A two hour slot with no break. A shout out too for the ' warm up band ' Jonny Mac & the Faithful who were excellent. Finally a mention for the very helpful staff.

Great experience all around. Were there for the Glasgow 2018 euro champs watching gymnastics. Fantastic place to watch, wander about with the teams where our daughter managed to have her picture taken with them. Very successful!

It's where all the big acts play in Glasgow. Parking is 8 quid per event but the annoyance is how long it can take to escape the parking structure. Be aware that catch the train there may be limited service to Glasgow Central
