Great food and service. Everything is fresh. Good coffee too.

Thy food can be lack luster depending on the season at times, but none the less a good spot to dine at. They even have fonio.

The space is small and a lot of people come her so be prepared for long wait times, but the food is definitely worth it and that's why people keep coming back. I like this place much better than Pamela's for brunch since the food tastes better and feels healthier. The staff are also very understanding and helpful. #vegetarianfriendly

Very popular high end breakfast and lunch only restaurant. Crowded in the mornings, especially weekends. Parking in alley behind restaurant.

Didn't wait long even though there was a line, it moves fast. The food though was just eh. Maybe we will try again.

My husband and I love square cafe! We drive from the other side of town for breakfast here quite often. Their specials are really amazing and I've never been disappointed! We take everyone we know here and they end up fans. Keep up the good work!

Wonderful lively cafe with a delicious menu. Very kid friendly, there are toys, kids dishes and pens for kids - our boys love the babycakes. My favorite dish is the vegetarian omelette. It is worth to come early, at the weekend you have to queue from 9. It's worth it! Great service.

Really good food! The burger was big. I had a hard time finishing it. The salads and protein drinks were all very fresh and tasty! The owner has put a lot of thought into offering a menu keeping you covered for a light snack to a full meal. Highly recommend!!!

Visited for the first time because we had a Groupon. Our server said we could not use it for our meal because it was a holiday, and they consider that a weekend day, even though it was a Thursday. When we objected, our server said there was nothing they could do. The food was ok, sitting outside on the sidewalk was nice. Generally a pleasant place, but the whole experience with the Groupon really soured me.

When in doubt for breakfast out...we ALWAYS hit the Square Cafe. Traditional and eclectic offerings worth every penny. If you are sitting outside, your dog is welcome to join you. Magnificent art pieces line the walls and are available for purchase.
I have two sets of their "square" mugs with stands, allowing me to rid my cabinets of all the mugs you seem to collect and never use. The Square Cafe mugs are everyone's favorite in our home. Square Cafe is a "must" do at least once. I know for a fact they serve breakfast & lunch but I'm not sure about dinner. They have fantastic specials, the food is fresh, the service is top notch no matter how busy they are! Enjoy...

Waited in the restaurant for 40 minutes because the takeout time estimate was wildly off. When I got the order home, it was incorrect (added sausage to a vegetable burrito)

Fresh ingredients, moderately priced, lots of vegetarian items on the menu. Owner Sherri is very friendly and wait staff accommodating.

Cool little dine in shadyside. Great food and fun atmosphere. Usually pretty busy.

Super clean spot for breakfast or lunch. High quality food for hard to please diets. Nice place to grab a booth in the back for a meeting with friends or for business. Def check them out!

I suggest trying their specials of the day because they are usually good. I would not order the $9.50+ square breakfast because there is absolutely zero value for 2 eggs 1 pancake 1 sausage which is NOT better than McDonald's. The coffee and other beverages are really good tho, but don't forget to allow for waiting 25-40 minutes for a table on Saturdays...

Awesome brunch with a lot of GF and veg options. Golden Milk was delicious while we waited for our table and you can never go wrong with any of their menu options. Looking forward to visiting again.

Was in the area working and decided to give the square cafe a try. Man was it worth it!!! Very nice place lots of healthy choices! A little pricey,
but in my opinion was well worth it. Friendly staff, great service, amazing food!! Would highly recommend square cafe!!!!

Sometimes there's a really long wait because its popular both with people who live in Regent Square, and college students. But their outside seating is great (its cozy and they allow dogs outside), and the food is always excellent. They also have a wide range of coffees and a huge menu.

Unique menu items and great decor. Cool coffee mugs and espresso drinks. My favorite brunch site. Not wheelchair accessible that I could see. Single step to enter the front. Highly recommended.

Always delicious options you wouldn't just make at home.

We were seated right away both times we visited. It's a very bright and happy dining experience with local artist's work hanging on the walls and available for purchase. They offer gluten free and vegan options. Their menu is very creative and out of the box~no pun intended. Our meals were served quickly. All of our meals were delicious and everyone left feeling very satisfied.

So i came here because of the grest reviews and was very displeased. Chorizo omlete is a big let down. Not alot of flavor and they mix the egg with it which looses alot of flavor. Substituted the greens for home fries which were frozen potatos you would buy out of the freezer in giant eagle and seasoned with soeason salt for chicken. The meal with coffee came to 20 dollars. So if you like poor food at a high price give this place a try or go to McDonald's.. youll get the same quality at the right price.

Tried this place for the first time this morning with some friends after buying a groupon and was blown away. I got brussel sprouts with bacon and grits and it was one of the single greatest meals I have ever eaten. Cooked to perfection.

Waitress was amazing and funny. The atmosphere was warm an inviting. Really really really great. Will be going back. Can't recommend this restaurant more.

A great place for brunch any day of the week I'm consistently surprised by how good everything is for the moderate price, from the service to the food to the coffee. The service was quick and food came out hot. Everything was well-seasoned and fresh, and the bottomless coffee truly was bottomless! My cup was never empty. Definitely a good value for the quality of the food, and it gets extra points for being vegan friendly.

Brunch... super satisfying. This location is absolutely outstanding. Looking forward to returning with my friends. Kinda of like a restaurant in Los Angeles I loved to visit.

Breakfast/brunch at Square is always outstanding, we always take my family here. When my vegan sister was visiting she was ecstatic at how many options she had! They even have a bunch of gluten free options too. And the coffee's good!

Square Cafe is everything but square Their food is consistent and the coffee is excellent. Try a specialty coffee drink, the lavender latte with vanilla is perfect everytime!!

This is a gem of a neighborhood eatery. There is a great rotating seasonal menu. It's especially nice when the weather is warm but get there early since the neighbors will be there too.

One of our favorite places for breakfast. They change the Unique menu items twice a year, so it's always a fun and delicious experience. And they put up local art that you can buy.

Way too expensive for so-so food. I got a thimble full of syrup for my pancakes. Not sure what the big deal is about this place.

Excellent service even though it was packed this morning. The staff was pleasant, the food came quickly and it was excellent food. The atmosphere was wonderful they have indoor and outdoor seating. They are very clean conscious. I observed them wiping the tables and chairs and sweep the floor during the busy rush. A lot of places just wipe tables and keep it moving. We will be back.

Their food is great, the servers were great. Only thing I didnt like is how small of a space it is, sitting so close to other people and no room to really move.

The place is quite trendy, with cool decorations and cups and shirts on sale. We were directed to the "bar," which to me was a new experience for eating brunch. It was nice watching the waiters/waitresses take orders and make milkshakes. As for the food, the short rib scramble was nothing short of fantastic. Lots of delicious meat mixed in with yummy scrambled eggs, along with onion and mushroom.

Greatest place for brunch in the city. It does get very crowded so make sure to come early. The space is amazing and so inviting. The staff is wonderful and everything is clean and well maintained. The food is so so so good!

Deciduous for with friendly, capable staff. A must of your in the area! There is a wait, but it isn't long. Don't let it discourage you.

Square Cafe never fails to deliver. The food is great, the servers are friendly, and the coffee is always fresh. Only problem is finding parking and having to wait on weekends because everyone else loves Square as much as I do.

Absolutely delicious chorizo scramble and ricotta berry pancake. Prices are a little expensive though.
