Room a little tired if not quite good value for money. Missing a coffee machine in the room ...

Did a high tea here ... For the first round I had to wait 30 minutes (not very much), but for the second round 90 minutes. I even had to ask for it because the staff didn't come by to check if we needed anything. The cakes were very dry and I suspect they had been standing for a while. I was also looked at weird when I asked for coffee when it should have been there already. There was also 0 ventilation and so just a sauna inside.

Beautiful entrance and very friendly staff. Christmas dinner delicious. The rooms clean but minimal. No coffee / tea making facilities. Woodwork hotel poorly maintained and cabinets in shower / bath room less. The pillows of the beds were a big minus. The mattress was adequate.

The staff try hard, very friendly and welcoming. But what they have to work with is a shame.

Booked a room but canceled again after reviews. An advance paid but this (now certainly 4 weeks after cancellation) not yet recovered. When I call the hotel, I get several times a lady who says she can't help it. Now I am standing there because it is canceled no longer in the system (which makes sense) so they can't find anything about money either. Money away. Unfortunately.

Door is not soundproof and walls are thin and you can hear all noises on the hall and from other rooms. Parking is far from the hotel near some trees and had no surveillance video cameras. There is no power socket near bed. All night there were annoying beating sounds from above. Breakfast was poor and old fruits.

Dated inventory, moderate staff and poor breakfast. Me and my family had expected more from the photo webside. A pity but not worth repeating.

The special thing about breakfast was the fresh bread. Otherwise rather poor. Scrambled eggs dry, cheese already bent upwards, the sausage was greasy. There was no fish. The pool was mostly occupied by external swimming groups and was therefore only of limited use for hotel guests. It wasn't particularly clean either. The showers by the pool didn't work on the first evening. In the room I found an old contact lens from the landlord, the beds were not made and the shower towel was removed but I didn't get a new one. The stairs to the very small rooms were adventurous and dusty. At least I would have liked help with luggage. For me as a smoker, the most unpleasant thing was that you were banished from smoking in front of the main entrance. There was only a small shelter, which was not really pleasant in the rain.

The condition at the bar after a time was very unfriendly and stopped the serving of long drinks just because they apparently wanted to leave work, he let his displeasure then in our travel group. Delicious high tea. Plenty of choice and wonderfully seated by the water. Go here again soon.

It is an old hotel. Clean but with a lot of user traces and therefore less so. A cupboard with 2 doors instead of 3, which is original, comes across as unkempt.

The bathroom was very dirty, the rooms were not made, the breakfast, which was very poor, we had a moldy rolls, that's not.

Been 2x: 1x in the weekend and then it was very quiet and good (enough). Spacious clean nice room. Breakfast was tasty.

Yesterday, Wednesday it was far below par: the terrace was dirty, cobwebs, wet cushions while I don't think it had rained all day.
Starter okay, main course downright dirty: so bad that you don't really want to swallow it !! Asparagus with fresh lime juice (! ??! Was not on the menu) and snot cooked. Ham seemed like a dried out shoulder ham, egg was overcooked and probably lay too long and fried potatoes were undercooked. Sauce was missing, which was stated on the poster.

Service tried hard, but did not make it. In between, they washed dishes, made drinks and served guests who ordered food with coins. Forgotten order etc.
We were offered an alternative to the main course. I had baked salmon steak with chips and salad. This was pretty good.

The hotel is somewhat dated. We were given a room that was not cleaned. Were immediately referred to another room.
Breakfast was reasonable. Everything went wrong with the bill.

Tip; have guests sign the restaurant voucher, then the waitress can change it, where necessary of course, and you will not be surprised by the reception the next day .. Well neatly solved by the receptionist

We are in a recreational area and it is really beautiful here in Velsen. The Hotel is right next to the A9, but you don't notice much of it.

Warm atmosphere and wonderful beds, definitely worth repeating.

The food tasted okay, but unfortunately the service was a lot less. We were offered our desert immediately after the starter while we had not yet had a main course. After this it took quite a long time before we got the main course. When we had finished our main course we had to ask ourselves after 45 minutes whether we still got our desert. Then it turned out that they had forgotten it and then we only got our desert 20 minutes later. Not once was we asked if we wanted something to drink in between, and this was also difficult to ask ourselves as there was someone walking around very rarely. All these errors while the total was not busy, about 5 tables were occupied. The guests around us also complained about errors. No apology was ever given for these errors, for example when they arrived with the dessert and we said we had not yet had the main course, the response was "oh, nothing at all?" and then the one walked away. Finally, on the way back home, my girlfriend suffered from her intestines. Not worth repeating for us.

Check in was bad. No one at reception for 20 minutes. The room was old and hidden behind a dining room up some shoddy stairs. Thin walls and tiny bathroom. At checkout many hidden extra costs. Staff was friendly, other than that no pros.

There was no mention of any renovations when booking. In the room almost everything was broken and under water stains, old and there was no coffee or tea facilities. Then get coffee, coffee machine was broken so no coffee. When checking out, no eye for me as a customer, no friendly good morning or even goodbye, settled and gone. The hotel is heavily dated and poorly maintained, so I can only conclude that the price-quality ratio is not right. For me it was a big disappointment, I don't come here again.

Friendly people, beautiful surroundings, great food.

Because of the Corona we did a round of the Netherlands as a family and we stayed in 3 Fletcher hotels. After hotel Gilde (Highly recommended) in Deventer, to hotel Mallejan in the Veluwe to end in Spaarnwoude. A bit wary after reading the reviews, this hotel turned out to be TOP. The staff very friendly, the Comfort room very spacious and clean and delicious eaten during breakfast and dinner. Also the reception and restaurant are very nice and cozy.The only drawback is that you always hear the highway, The hotel is located between lakes and highways. Nice base to the sea or Haarlem.

It was nice and quiet, very friendly staff. The restaurant is also cozy, although it was quiet. Fantastic and interested chef with a catering man behind the bar and nice ladies from Amsterdam to have a drink afterwards

Really bad hotel. Do not understand how it can be a 4 star hotel ???
I had been looking forward to some cozy days in Holland, but this hotel ruined the coziness a bit.
It was both dirt and worn out. There were holes in the wall and the furniture was worn. The toilet was not clean and the floor was dung dirty.
This hotel is definitely not worth the money.

Basic hotel. Rooms are clean, good bed and nice rain shower. Beautiful location with beautiful terrace and beach.

Urgently in need of renovation! Damaged furniture, windows that are not tight in the rain. According to the outside and ring hearing.

Old and run-down hotel. 10 years ago it was beautiful! Desk employees are very friendly. Executives unbelievably unfriendly! Bad service and a dusty room. At the pool a lot of rust on doors etc.

All in all .. Far too expensive for such a run-down hotel with an unfriendly management and poor service.

The most beautiful hotel, in a very nice area on the waterfront. Only the breakfast was very meager for such a hotel. But we will definitely return but without breakfast.

Overal spullen stuk(beide bedlampjes deden niks badmeubel stuk kranen die slecht werken)en niet echt schoon.
Kit naden in badkamer vies.
En bevroren brood bij het ontbijt.
Voor de rest wel goed geslapen.

Tonight ate in the "Restaurant", location is beautiful. Food is very simple, would not go there for food. Also took quite a long time before we got our main course.

Renovated and completely wrong. The new 2-person rooms are initially beautiful but not thought out at all. After arrival we were given a key with which the room had to be locked from the inside. There is also no lift available and this was very inconvenient with suitcases. The rooms are very noisy, the shower is not well protected and the toilet is too close to the wall. The lighting plan is also not good, the bathroom functions on a sensor. When you enter the bathroom at night you are ready to wake up full of light. The blood is also hot in the room and there is no fentilation. The extraction in the bathroom continues for a long time, followed by a water ballet after showering. The sink is also round so a lot of water is splashing beside it. Also missing are the shaving mirror, coffee maker, tea jug, the beds are good but the pillows are very thick and high. Conclusion broken leaving the hotel.

Friendly staff, but too much used, in need of renovation urgently

Primary hotel and good breakfast just fletcher worthy.

Unfortunately tonight awakened by a fire alarm was deactivated after 10 minutes .. there is no staff at night which is why I and my wife along with all the other guests were rather confused by the whole situation .. this is obviously a snapshot that does not entirely Good may go with the quality of the hotel.

Our room was nicely decorated with a nice bathroom.
do we put the heater directly at the entrance because the sun had warmed the room all nice.

We were stupidly forgot our swimwear otherwise we certainly made use of the swimming facility which is certainly a aanradar.

All around is all great hotel, 10 minutes from bloemendaal sea with the car what to do fine.

Nice environment with lots of nature and a clean hotel. The wellness is very extensive and the staff are nice and friendly. Near snowplanet and definitely recommended.

Nice place with a good location for swimming, cycling and running

Wij zijn al een keer in het Fletcher hotel de Wageningse Berg (2x) en Paterswolde geweest en daardoor zijn we wel verwend. Want dit hotel was prima, maar toch net niet. Wij zijn wel vaker iets eerder aangekomen en dan keken ze of we op de kamer konden ook al was het 1 uur (terwijl inchecken pas om 15.00 uur kon). Hier niet, pas 15.00 uur.
De hotelkamers liggen richting de snelweg, dus in de zomer lijkt me dit niet fijn als je de deur open wilt doen. Snap ook niet waarom ze niet aan de achterkant liggen en de entree en keuken dan aan de voorkant richting snelweg.
Verder vond ik de entree en het restaurant niet heel gezellig. Eten was goed, heerlijke schnitzel gehad! De man die er werkte was heel vriendelijk en druk, hij moest het alleen doen. Maar dat merkte je niet in de bediening, kregen alles op tijd.
De kamers zijn groot, maar een beetje verouderd. Lampjes die het niet doen, kapje schuin (kapot). De badkamer was prima, douchen in een groot bad. Alleen de wasbak met heel veel laatjes?! is ook verouderd. En een keer de voegen weer witmaken zou ook helpen. De badkamer is wel schoon! Ik denk dat het hele hotel een keer een upgrade nodig heeft.
Bij het uitchecken wordt er normaal altijd gevraagd of we het fijn hebben gehad of alles naar wens was. Maar dat was nu niet het geval. Jammer, want dan zou ik toch het een en ander verteld hebben, waar ze dan wat mee hebben kunnen doen.

Bad. No fridge. No wardrobe. Rooms are ,, lived out. No shopping possibilities. Too expensive. Next to the highway.

Nice welcome, neat new room that was on the small side. Breakfast on the expensive side for what was offered.

Slept a wonderful night with a Kruidvat voucher for a nice price. Nothing to complain about, neat new room and a good breakfast.

Good reception and then immediately eaten and enjoyed the 3 course dinner. Spacious hotel room with bath and beautiful view of the wooded area. It is a bit remote, but that makes it more adventurous. Service was great and the breakfast was nice too.

Wij hebben in verschillende Fletcher hotels gezeten. Spaarnwoude is de allerbeste, fijne ruime kamer met PRACHTIG uitzicht! Het personeel is ontzettend vriendelijk, vooral Merel! Merel hielp ons uitstekend voelde ons erg welkom.

Had a delicious High Tea twice in the restaurant. Nothing to complain about the price / quality ratio. It was more than enough and sweet for your wallet. Friendly staff, at least not intrusive, running around the table all the time while eating .... so plenty of time to enjoy the entourage, my girlfriends (chatting, without having to drown each other by surroundings) and the delicious (fresh) appetizers. Will definitely come back Topper!

The food was okay, only a bit small portions, also quite expensive compared to what you get (in terms of quality but also quantity). A lot went wrong. Hotel in a quiet and idyllic location. Right on a small lake and a canal. Rooms are functional and modern. However, some things in and around the building seem to be getting old, or not well-kept. Good wifi. Staff very friendly. Satisfactory price-performance ratio.

1 star for the super nice staff and 1 star for the comfortable beds.
Otherwise it didn't deserve more.
The parking spaces are approx. 200 meters from the hotel
The rooms are much smaller than expected.

An old hotel complex in a very good location & bike rental directly in the hotel.

When we wanted to go to breakfast - the door for a space (passage room) was glued with the film that we were locked out.
Reception staff at night do not speak German / good English. You send us the car at 0:30 for the 7min. Bring away parking space far away. And on a Sunday! The most important thing is probably not the guests, but staff who can park directly in front of the hotel door.
Breakfast was according to the hotel: large impersonal room with broken coffee machine ......
Sauna for a fee = we didn't trust us anymore.

I only ate here and I wouldn't do this a second time. The service was bad it was already too much trouble to take the orders. We had to walk in each time to order something, after which no action was taken after we had finished eating / drinking.
Then I haven't talked about the food yet. The fries were weak and after a minute already cold and a dollop of sauce had been put on the burger to give it a little taste but nothing more.

Nice location in nature reserve Spaarnwoude. Unique nearby swimming locations available. Friendly service.

Used a space for an off-site day. In itself an "okay" location, but a dated impression. The state of the sanitary facilities is a big downside, the lunch, on the other hand, is fine. We needed extra magnets, but that was not possible because the staff needed them themselves for the planning ... That attitude radiated in everything.

My rating is "an ok location but there really are better ones in this area".

Pleasant well-situated Hotel in a nice environment, a large park. Nice large park for walking and bike. Near Amsterdam and good exit to motorways. Well-equipped and modern for relaxation. There is both a swimming pool and a sauna. Nice restaurant with sitting and outside on the terrace overlooking the lake and wild ducks. We were on holiday recreation, but there is also a conference room, so it is also suitable for corporate or other events.
