Nice location, small but cozy environment. In general a nice resort to go if you don't care about racism and the quality of service. Visited here last week with my girlfriend (we are both expats) and the experience was frustrating. Giving two stars in stead of one as not everybody will encounter the same situation as us most probably.

Before we left, a male security staff stopped us when we were returning to the indoor just for picking up the bag we forgot by accident. As we were one of the remaining last groups there, our gesture was taken as we do not want to leave. We explained our purpose politely to the guy, but he looks impatient and keep repeating 'you cannot come back, we are closing'. The guy remembered our faces.
When we were finally paying in queue, we saw him talking about our nationality and morality in Dutch with his colleagues loudly close to the front desk (as he assumed we cannot understand) and hissed us when he passed by. We tried to ask for this guy's name right afterwards, he avoided us and I was told by other staff 'please don't bother him, he has to leave'. -- We have no idea how can we bother him by only asking 'Sir, may I know your name please?' in arm's length, especially when both of us are very paranoid on whether he will do something else rude to us. Once we explained this guy's behavior to the front desk, it turns out that none of the staffs on duty knows & willing to tell his name and act very passively about the fact that we were attacked . Overall, we received not even a word of apology and was given a commercial flyer to 'find the way of contact to address a complain'.

For the customers that want to visit : Please be aware that the service level may be different if you do not 'look like' locals & do not understand local language.
For the management : Please do educate your employees and be careful of hiring people with bad manners. The disrespectful behavior of your staff will ruin your brand. Please always keep it in mind; any means of pre-judgement by races, nationalities, appearances and genders should not be tolerated in this beautiful country.

Een mooie en schone sauna. De sauna is wat duurder dan sauna's in de omgeving, maar Spa zuiver heeft regelmatig aanbiedingen. De krachtige kruidenbaden zijn een aanrader. Het eten is er prima.

The spa is very big but we found the pledge not warm enough to go in winter. The pool was cold and in the restaurant was freezing. Prices at the restaurant were high. In general, is was too crowded (we were on a Thursday on the Xmas break). The hotel was ok, although its far away from the city center and has no restaurant. The I Amsterdam card doesn't work with the bus you need to take to go into town, you will need to pay an extra 2.5 euros each time.

I think the sauna if fine, not great. However every time when I make an online booking I get soo annoyed. The process on mobile phone is such a hassle and makes me so stressed and annoyed that I kind of need to go to the sauna to relax. Literally always a bad start to my sauna experience -.-

Great escape

What I would really like to think about is how to comply with the rules of conduct on the bathing clothes days. Which does not benefit the wonderful peaceful atmosphere due to a certain tension and behavior of visitors on these days.

Was a favourite, we go almost every month in the last year and would spend the whole day there. In this summer, THE QUALITIES OF FOOD AND SERVICE HAVE BOTH GONE DOWN DRASTICALLY. The last time we visited on Wednesday, the kipsate was not marinated (no flavour) and was served with watery beans, one of the lemonade was watered down, the fries were super greasy... Oh yeah, there was mold inside the raspberries and the staff was very nice to offer more fruit... but there was mold in those raspberries yet again!

To top it up, the serving staff was so busy and hard to track down, and when they do come over, they seem so overworked and cranky...

I am leaving a bad review to voice my concerns, and hopefully to get the attention of the management - Spa Zuiver was top quality in terms of food and service and this is really going in the wrong direction!

Here you can really enjoy yourself.

Here you can really enjoy yourself.
Afterwards we felt like we had a mini vacation behind us; we were totally relaxed!
Tip: bring conditioner for your hair, because the available free shampoo and of course the swimming water and the heat of the saunas turn the most beautiful hair into rope!

A+

We come here regularly. The Spa is spacious and has many facilities. You have different saunas both inside and outside. There are also singing bowl rituals, infusions and scrub sessions. Staff is really nice and work hard.
The cuisine is really very good.
We think it is a nice clean sauna.
Sometimes it is very busy and people do not understand what silence sauna means. There is chattering everywhere and we sometimes find this annoying.
Another disadvantage, we think, is that the restaurant has limited capacity and you therefore have to reserve a time in advance. You have to decide at 4 p.m. what time you want to eat and then watch the clock. We find this an absolute downside
We like to eat when we are hungry, so that is not possible here.
I'd say keep an eye on the deals and enjoy.

This is certainly a relaxing place and I had a good time here, drinking sauv blanc with a friend and splashing around in different pools talking about our lives. However, all one can really do here is faff around in different pools - so if you're up for that, this is your place.

if a reservation is made, why is it always very busy? all cabins are almost full. And if you stay until late in the evening, they change the changing rooms to '' mixed '' and men can join them! I don't understand that very well. Also a person to whom I am irritated and therefore will no longer go to spa pure. The blond lady with a bun at the counter. I have been coming for years and she remains very unfriendly and looks at you in a strange way if you have a beard or do not look 'tight'. couples keep kissing and touching each other in the jacuzzi. Nasty! In short, too busy and the service is too bad for the main prices that are used. Do something with this because it is not going well there.

The spa is fine in principle. I really found the water in the pool cold as the general area. Everything is clean and the staff are friendly. The massage is good. Parking costs are not included in your package, a bit stingy in my opinion.

Completely disappointed at the management of the spa. They have made it very clear by phone that swim suits are available in the shop, they even mentioned the prices and different models. When I arrived there the shop apparently stopped selling swim wear for a very long time. Basically. I was not given the chance to enter the spa and I had to pay over 70 euros for two way taxi.

wonderful spa, a pity for local residents that the hourly rate has been abolished. For the new October scheme you were often able to enjoy an hour in the sauna, now you need a whole free afternoon if you want to do the same. Please return that hourly rate

The best Spa in Amsterdam, I visit Spa clean regularly on the swimwear days, very beautiful, clean, you can enjoy inside but also outside, the restaurant looks nice, unfortunately with few choices, staff are friendly .. it is a recommended.

Sauna's are ok but I think they are not going with they actions. I got email where it is clear how much do I have to pay. After coming they said the price is 2 times what I had in email. I think it is very unfair.

I had a great spa day. Location is beautiful. Indoor swimming pool that goes outside. With many spots to lay back and relax. Spa Zuiver has a wide variety of sauna's. So you will always find one that suits your needs of the day. Recommended for those that wish to relax and re-energize.

Nice, spacious, clean sauna with many facilities. Particularly pleasant was the cooled changing room, which is a sauna in itself in other saunas. Good thought was given to comfort in all areas except the restaurant. Catering had too little choice for me, too little taste, too little quality with too many euros. Really too expensive for what you get, also lacked the atmosphere. Staff were very friendly everywhere. Overall had a nice day. Note parking. Paid for the door up to 10 for a day ticket and soon also paid for the Bosbaan.

First visit after 10 years and rather disappointed. It all looks clean with many straight lines. If you like a cold atmosphere, this fits well. It s a money machine. The 10 year anniversary deal for 69 euro included a buffet and 25 minutes massage. The relaxing massage was not bad, the buffet very basic; only the five little dishes seemed ok with three veggie options were ok (one is a fried egg).
The sauna areas are very large so it s a constant coming and going of people which makes the place feel very restless. It s pretty crowded everywhere all the time. Although it s supposed to be a quiet space, people chatter away. The number of resting beds is too limited and they want to make you spend money everywhere. Even a bottle of water (no drinking dispensers anywhere in a sauna!!!!) cost a fortune. I left wiser: take your own bottle of water that you can refill. Bring a sandwich and eat it in the sandwich area and the flat fee of eur 18,50 is quite ok.

Top spa. Lots of choice, so you can relax here all day long. Admission is pricey, but you really have value for money!
I also think it is very good that there are also swimwear days. Not everyone likes walking around naked.
My favorite spa!

Spa pure is very unsanitary and very unpleasant. I have been going to Spa Pure since 2013 and that has always been a great experience because of the staff that were there at the time and the hygiene that was top notch. Now it is 2017, the spa is barely cleaned and you can smell the foul smell of chlorine in all baths. Everywhere there is a trail of lime, mold and cobwebs. Many products and activities have been removed, including the scrub salt. The aroma baths, which smelled wonderfully at first, are now smothered by a pungent smell of chlorine and sweat. For me the spa experience is gone, I have the feeling that I am in a swimming pool instead of a spa. I would purely recommend Spa to anyone. You pay more than 30 euros for a relaxing day that you don't get. For that money you would rather go to another spa, because Spa pure is no longer pure, unfortunately.

Popular spa next to the Bosbaan in Amsterdam. The location is modern, spacious and tidy. The staff are friendly and attentive.

Compared to other wellness resorts:

- in a positive way:
the fireplace sauna (fireplace with real logs), the large hot tub (good support for neck and body), the cold showers and cold plunge pools (really good cold), the 40 mtr indoor / outdoor swimming pool and the steam aromatic oils and fortunately a bit warmer than the indicated 45 degrees).
Also very nice are the cool air-conditioned changing rooms. A relief compared to the soggy sweathouses of some other saunas.

- in a negative sense:
the hot showers at the entrance (partly defective, many empty soap containers), the lounging areas with bubbles on the sides of the outdoor pool (bad neck support) and especially the restaurant. Food and drinks are (even for sauna standards) too expensive and of poor quality.

Note: parking is now (2016) still free. But the municipality seems to have evil plans ... check this carefully. You can also park on the site of Zuiver. Day ticket 10 euros.

The spa is amazing! Such great value, check out their website for deals. It is a nude spa, but they do have swimsuit days, if you don't feel comfortable bearing if all! We had such a brilliant time, a little hidden gem which most tourists don't know about.
