Lots of different spa rooms to offer and the best part is the outdoor swim area on the roof in the winter! The people can be hit or miss; if you order cooked food it may take a little bit but I thought the burger and fries were good..

Stay away from the men's wet sauna at Spa Castle. My boyfriend had the unfortunate experience of being sexually assaulted in there after a gay orgy broke out around him. No joke. There is a time and place to do everything, but not at a family friendly spa place where there are children literally running around outside the wet sauna. After my boyfriend complained, the manager went to go confront the situation but not after he said "not again". It makes me think twice about this place if this kind of behavior is of regular occurrence here.

If people were cleaner and more respectful of two basic notions applicable to such places "hygiene" and "quiet relaxation" I would say this would be the best spot for a daycation. #promotebetterhygiene #promoteclean

This place used to be much better. They need to close to do some maintenance. Lots of yellow tapes, jets or pools not functional or out of order. Also , staff is not enforcing rules , they have become very lax: so people use phones in sauna (no electronics) and people bring in drinks into the pool they are not supposed to and spill them in the water. Otherwise , i used to love this place. I come here to relax and de-connect from electronic world.

Went for my birthday with friends using a groupon. The place was so amazing, the hot tub felt so relaxing and there wasn t any kids running around crying or making noise. The staff was nice and stayed out the way. The only thing I would change is the clothes they give you to walk around in.. not so cute.

This place is great! Has a lot of pools, saunas, and food. I've been to many Korean spas and this place seems to be a place both Koreans and nonkoreans can both enjoy. Will revisit for sure!

Spa Castle is a Korean spa with a very nice, very spacious unisex naked area. They have various hot tubs, a cold tub and saunas. They also have several pools with massage jets. They also have stand-up and sit-down showers. The one thing Spa Castle is missing in the naked area is natural light. Their unisex sauna is built in the basement.

The co-ed area is decent but, like so many Korean spas, you must wear shorts and a shirt that they provide. Top-freedom is not allowed for either gender. They do have some nice facilities in the co-ed area but you are left sweating profusely into textiles - gross!

Spa Castle is worth a visit for some naked time in the winter. I would not recommend it in the summer due to the lack of light and lack of co-ed mingling. I would recommend an area nude beach or clothing optional resort during warmer months.

All stars I award to an establishment are based upon this system:

* * * * * means coed, non-sexual nudity is allowed
* * * * means unisex, non-sexual; nudity is allowed
* * * means you can probably get away with being naked but it is not legally allowed
* * means get naked at your own risk, you might get arrested
* means the place advertises as nudist but allows sexual nudity and/or swinging

A nice little place...well, big place...but there are a few things to be aware of:
1.) there are kids here... which isn't a bad thing necessarily (the ones I saw were well behaved)... but if ur going freak about kids in the nude area u should probably skip this place...
2.) The food is overpriced... ur trapped there, it's part of the experience... it's ok, lol... I found the food to be pretty good
3.) So going back to the nude thing... there r nude areas... it's part of the spa thing from overseas (where ppl #nonAmericans don't freak out bout nudity)... don't b werid bout it, lol... they are in dedicated areas & the more "cooler" areas r clothed anyway, lol

You sign a waiver and rules that say no cameras or phones on certain areas but people have then everywhere. Kids are all over the place even if they shouldn't be in the extra warm pools or rooms. The nude area everyone is supposed to be nude but they allowed people to sit there clothed. Decent experience but not top rated.

Nice atmosphere, the drinks and food is good. Myself and my partner had a great deep tissue massage. We weren t fond of the strawberry and wine because it was just a taste but over all the sauna s and staff were good.

The good: saunas, massage, hydro therapy, food and ok drinks i suggest beer.

The bad: the place definitely needs maintenance on the hot tubs, several jets were not working and the smaller indoor pool had only 2 working jet chairs, one of which i felt like i got a shock from. The outdoor pool was definitely the pool to be in with a variety of jet options but again some didnt work. The mixed drinks were weak and way too sweet. Cleanliness could be better but is not bad mostly just lazy people leaving their garbage everywhere.

My advice, come early on a week day for the better experience, plan to go in pools and sauna then massage then hydro therapy. Definitwly go for the groupon because more likely then not you will spend alot of money. Also buy the 5 dollar slippers i hate wet ground and walking barefoot and they really made me much more comfortable.

Went there for a friends birthday June 10th and they have a lot of more rules than I remember. For example every girl has to have there hair up now and if your hair is down the lifeguards will hand you a rubber band. You can't even dip your head in the water without a lifeguard catching you and blowing their whistle. There's no eating where the pool bar is any more which I actually enjoyed before and while I was taking a shower in the nude area of the girls locker room there was a Nude MAN! Watching the women/minors there. When we told the front desk about it they said he was a transsexual and there was nothing they could do about it. I have nothing against transsexuals but I felt VERY uncomfortable with a strange man watching us. I definitely will not be returning if this is "OK".

The place is not clean, especially is ladies restrooms. At the 2nd Floor I saw men, who changed shoes, flip flops on sneakers- nobody care. The sleeping aria and eating aria very close to each other. To much people, how you can relax- I can t imagine? Salad bar was shocking- all day open aria food , no cooling, no air conditioning- millions small mosquitoes waive

I was trying to get there for mothers day, so I want and try to ordered it online the charge me 3 times for over 430 dollars, and when you try to get in contact with them your can't, and when you finally do they hang up in your face. And now the take over a 1000 thousand from me and no way to contact them, I called my bank and they said since it pending they can't do anything into they changed it, which was so upsetting, so thats why im making this post, I been calling for 3 days now, any no one got back to me yet. IM SO ANGRY AND UPSET NOW.

Poor customer service, too many kids, over priced nasty food. Front desk and management is extremely rude. Purchased a groupon and the their system was down and they could not scan the certificate. Came back the next day which was a day after it expired and they held me up for an hour over a $20 upcharge. Lied to me and said it would be an extra $90. They are money hungry and don't care about people. Avoid this place if you can.

I enjoy coming here as it can be relaxing and a chill place to hang. I do wish they limited their days for kids as they can really take away from relaxing. Having specific days for kids is ideal. And, keeping the outside pool warm on hot days really makes no sense. At least keep a pool or two with cool water. For the most part I do still enjoy this place.

I beginning to enjoy this spa the more I visit. This is my second visit. It was chilly but still able to enjoy the spa inside. The shower and saunas are great. So much to do or just relax.

The gigantic Korean spa facility on the north shore of East River. 4 stores high enormous building providing all sort of bath and spas you can imagine. Also one restaurant, one buffet, coffee-smoothie shop, massages.

The price might be high - $50 but you can find deal on Groupon to get the tickets for $29.99. And you can find shaving foam and razors for free (the stuff you hardly could find at another korean spas).

But in another hand - the Spa will take tax even for the Groupon (surprisingly), the food in the restaurant would be way overpriced and not even good, and after all - location of the spa. Far-far beyond of the reachable circle average new yorkers who overwhelmed by the era of aging public transportation and messed up subway system.

Great place. Beautiful facilities. However dissapointed when I arrive at 730pm, spend $80 for my girlfriend and I to get in expecting for the place to close at 12am as advertised but in reality we are kicked out of the spa pool at 9:45. I can understand maybe the salad bar and/ or berverage service being discontinued early but when you advertise 12am as closing time yet close down the main attractions at 945, it's kind of false advertising in my opinion. I would've rated my stay a 5 if it wasn't for that disappointment.

It's definitely a family place-the lace is massive! Plenty of lounging areas; great food options. I was turned off by all the nudity in the locker rooms. If you're uncomfortable around people in the nude, then maybe not the place for you. FYI, you only see Nudity in male or female locker rooms. The lace seems well managed and organized.

I went there today and it was way too crowded to be taking precautionary measures against COVID-19. I stayed under half an hour because I was so dissatisfied with the environment. I paid for a relaxing day at the spa and instead I walked into an urban pool party. There were children running around, splashing in the pool, spitting out pool water...while the parents were busy getting drunk. NO ONE had on mask past the front desk not even workers. The environment was just loud and rambunctious. I wish I could get my money back. I would ve given two stars only because the aesthetics of the building is nice and it would ve been a great environment without the above mentioned disturbances. Staff was nice though, I must admit.

love it

Fancy place but not enough steam if you looking for real sauna. The only place is in the basement, full of gay man. The only way to enjoy it, - you have to be Gay man over 30. Staff not allow you to wear shorts in the basement and force you to get naked. They even called police on me for wearing "spa castle" signature shorts and refusing to take it off, - apparently it against their rules. It's similar to illegal warehouse parties in New York, where they not allowed you to crowd outside but allow you to smoke cigarettes inside which clearly a violation of local and federal laws

So my friend decided last minute she wanted to go for her birthday. We brought our admission through Groupon. When we arrived we were told we couldn't use it since it hasnt been 24hrs yet. Spoke with the manager... he was too serious and rude. Okay no biggie! We went ahead and paid at the counter. What I didn't like was the fact that its already 8pm. You took our 50 dollars plus tax and didn't mention that the pool would be closing in an hour and the bar was closing. That's wrong!!! We weren't coming to buy snacks. smh. A total waste of money!

Always good when you visit at the appropriate time, only qualm is that the majority of younger patrons lack the knowledge of spa etiquette
( no loud conversations or instagram videos in places of solace) also please have people patrol the gender specific spa areas for cell phones. Several women were taking videos in the nude area which is severely troubling
