Southern Siding & Windows Review

I have known the Felton family for many years. There is no other company that I would rather do business with than Southern Siding for my home.

The roofing crew arrived early in the morning and began work immediately. They had the roof bare to the deck in about two hours and kept the site pretty clean while doing it. They had the roof finished and site cleanup done by about 1:00!

Gutters were installed the next day, with equal professionalism.

Additionally, the office crew were great from start to finish. They made sure that I was informed of the schedules, answered any questions that I had, and ensured that I was happy with the work.

I have had Southern replace my roof and put gutters on the whole house. There workers are very polite, and they do follow up calls to make sure your happy!

My work was done in a very professional manner. I had an additional problem and Southern Siding resolved my issue. I am very satisfied and have recommended your company to others.

1 * because I can't give zero Stars. Don't use the salesman Matt. Do not do business with this company. They will give you the run-around and keep your deposit. Will not honor what they offer and then called 2 weeks after cancellation and offed it for 2000.00 less than quoted. I intend on going to small claims court. Southern Siding did a bath remodel with walk-in shower. They were very good & polite & I could not be any happier with there work. GREAT JOB!!!

I had 7 windows in my home replaced by southern siding and window and they did a very good job and I feel it was a good price. I would highly recommend them if u need windows replaced.

Windows and siding make my house look absolutely brand new

I am looking for replacement windows, but after reading these reviews I will not bother giving Southern Siding & Window a second thought. The three stars are for the reviewers openness, not for Southern Siding & Window. If you can not change your business practices then you should close up shop

I was very pleased with the job of installing gutters that Southern Siding did for me. I had an area that I was concerned about (that was an inside corner where two very steeply pitched roofs intersected). The inside corner piece they installed took care of my "would be" problem. An area that I did not perceive as a problem, and actually turned out to be one, was addressed very quickly with a call to the office. The following day their representative (the same guy who had done the install) came to the house and very quickly and professionally repaired the offending area. It should be noted here that these problem areas were not areas that were caused by something that was not done correctly to start with, but rather they were problem areas that could not have been seen from the start of the job and caused by too much water in one spot. I couldn't be happier with the job that was done!

Years of history with work being done by this company at my home. Quotes were always in writing; questions answered professionally and tentative time line for when the work would start and be completed provided. Always had rapid responses from the sales team. No derogatory comments as I've been totally satisfied with the work performed and interactions with the staff.

Southern Siding & Window Company does quality work! They came to my house to see what I wanted done and then a short time later did the work! My house looks great! If you need windows or siding, give them a call!

This is a review of Southern Siding and Windows of Augusta, Georgia, and their maintenance-free home gutter system. As a disclaimer, I was contacted about doing this review, but was in no way told what to write. That said, we called Southern Siding about replacing the gutters on our house that were continually getting clogged with pine needles and other debris. This caused sagging, overflows and required constant maintenance to keep cleared out. The estimate was quick and free and after replacing the gutters we are extremely satisfied with the results. Not only do they work as advertised, but they look great on the house and come with a very good warranty on both labor and materials. I would highly recommend Southern Siding to anyone needing gutters on their home.

The installers were very respectful and did an awesome job! They moved and replaced all furniture and draperies. And, they cleaned up all the trash and stuff from the old windows. I was extremely pleased and would definitely recommend them!

Everyone we dealt with from the sales people to the installation people were wonderful. They were very kind and made sure everything was done to our satisfaction. I really enjoy being able to open the windows on these nice days. We also had a walk-in shower with bench and hand rails installed and we could not have asked for a more professional job. We were very satisfied with how Southern Siding transformed our tub to a walk in shower. Our previous bathtub/shower was outdated. We had just remodeled the bathroom with new tile, paint, vanity and toilet. Everything was beautiful except the bathtub. We chose Southern Siding because we were amazed at the work they had done for our relatives. From the beginning the consultant Kerry was very knowledgeable about the products and options we could choose from. He sat down and talked with us about the many different selections of styles for our walk-in shower. He explained how easy it would be to clean (which definitely won me over) and how easy and convenient the process of remodeling would be. It only took ONE day for the guys to come in and do their work! They finished in a timely manner (from about 9am-5pm) and they didn't leave a mess behind. Now I have my dream bathroom and I am in love with my beautiful new walk-in shower!

We had such a great experience with Southern Siding. The workers arrived on time, and were very professional. They told us to expect it to take 4 hours, but it only took 2! The gutters look great and were up just in time before the next big rain. It's saved us so much hassle with erosion in our landscaping.

I was calling to see if they made screens, i got sent to a vm and to this day havent received a call back.

We have used Southern Siding several times for new windows and a new back door. Whoever came to do the estimate was always professional and knowledgeable. The work was done well and to my satisfaction. We just arranged to have our next set of windows installed. I m sure they will be just as nice as the ones they have already done for us. Looking forward to the replacement of the old windows which are so hard to open.

Sales guys Carlos and David were great. They did their job. I didn't even know I was being over charged since they were my first call. (2nd mistake not getting more quotes). 1st mistake was not reading the reviews first. Paying $1,000/per "square" you'd think the Name you're paying for is worth it.. So advice: add another month on to whatever date they guesstimate for completion and when they say they'll be there between 7-9, that really means 2:00. Nobody will return your calls for days if you need answers. Hopefully you get at least 1 worker that speaks/understands English well enough that you can ask questions to if you need (if you're not a roofer like me or want to know what's going on or when they'll be finished). The roof looks good, but the experience was not! Better luck to you if you use them, but I'd get quotes first and not just pay for the name!

Signed contract on August 15 but haven't heard back from them as after this time.am not pleased with the company.

Southern Siding is a very good company to get your gutters from. The representative was awesome he provided a lot of information and had samples of colors and the newest in gutter design.

Mixed experience. The General Contractor they used was competent, took great pride in his work. The salesman was not very ethical, and made some promises that were just not true, so I would not recommend this company.

We were called back after I wrote a bad review and 2 weeks of unpleasant scheduling issues. The gentleman that came out was very knowledgeable and friendly though. I just wish that he was who we spoke with first instead. As long as they committ to their promises, it seems that we will go through with our home projects this summer. 3 out of 5 due to the scheduling problems.

Recently purchased windows and gutters for my whole house and was extremely satisfied with the results, very professionally done and the product is amazing, noise reductions was incredible and my power bill went from $385 to $120 the first month after installation. I highly recommend southern siding for your window and gutter needs.

I am very happy with the gutter installation that Southern did for me. All four employees I spoke with were polite, friendly, and helpful. My house looks good and I got exactly what I expected.

This company sends a rep to your house and jockeys around with several different prices and finally offered a better price if we would leave a good review on Google and social media. Finance dept, Mrs Merle, has no answers for you when you call and sighs and moans at slightest hints of an inquiry. Sales rep is misleading to say the least. I am certain al the good reviews have been bought by the company as ours was supposed to be. Going through the 20 stage process to cancel the job now. Stay away from this company! Can't even get my name right after repeating the name over and over to them. HORRIBLE

The staff is very unprofessional. When you call for service no ine eill answer the phone. It has taken over almost a month to get someone to look at the leak over the door. The roofer blamed the leak in the cutter installation not sloped incorrectly. The scheduler said she would call after each group looked at the issue. I had to call and leave message for her to call me back. When she called, she said someone else had to come and look at roof.

The issue is with the shingles. They do not extend over the side far enogh to direct the rain water into the cutter.

Since the new person was in Washington GA area it will now be later the next day before he will be coming to look at my issue.

Question, why do I now need someone new come look at this issue. Why could this person not gave been scheduled to come the first time? This is only one of many issues with this company. I will not recommend that they install another roof in the Aiken area.

This company installed the doors and windows in our new house. The door and window frames were not shimmed correctly and are bowed. The corners of the door pinch the frame while there is a big gap in the middle because they re not plumb. My doors make crackling sounds when they open and close because the crooked frame misaligned the hinges and they pull at the wood. It also makes the hinge pins pop out. When someone from this company came out to do warranty repairs on all of the interior doors, they said that it is fine because the doors can open and close. Remember that when you hire them to install expensive doors and windows. Being able to open and close is their standard of excellence as they do a rush job and make a profit on your hard earned money.

Southern Siding and Window Company gives outstanding service. The company provides quality products with lasting results, is very trustworthy, and has professional staff who exhibit great expertise.

We ordered "black shadow" shingles. They installed a dull-grey roof and blamed the manufacturer who told us not to believe our lying eyes. SS took a few bucks off, but just sent us another bill. Beware!

All of the staff that I dealt with were professional and friendly. Financing was as simple as a quick credit check. The shower I purchased holds up to everything they said it would and pricing is very fair given the high quality of the product. The installers were wonderful, checking with me on even some of the smallest details.

Professional and courteous. They moved my installation up because of a cancellation and got the job done in just a few hours. No cleanup for me afterwards because they cleaned up after themselves. Real friendly service.

My roof was installed a little over a year ago had to fight and argue with the installers and the worst salesman Tyler to repair the dip in the back roof before they installed the new shingles the dip is still there I called 5 times 3 weeks ago because the roof was leaking finally got a call back 6 days later they said they would get someone out right away it has been 2 weeks still nothing not even a call. This is the worst company in Augusta I will be contacting a lawyer..... don't believe anything Tyler says

Had a deck built. They didn t put proper supports which caused the deck to warp. The wood started getting deep cracks and warps a year after it was built, despite putting a high quality stain on it. They sent out several people to assess it, all of which said it was poorly constructed and poor quality lumber. I ve been given the run around and conflicting information about getting it repaired to standard. I would give 0 stars if I could

I ve recently gotten a screen room added to my home and the quality of Southern Siding work is amazing. Larry has answered questions from start to finish. I would give a ten star but it doesn t allow me to. Southern Siding get a 110% from me.

*UPDATE* Originally I had given them 3 stars.... We had all our windows replaced which was quite costly so things should have been done correctly the first time. We were told that 5-6 guys would come put in our windows but only 2 showed up 1 1/2hrs late and I had to call to find out where they were! They took 9 1/2hrs to do all the windows so it was dark by the time they left so they did not do a walk around with us nor were they able to do a proper clean up. They should and could have scheduled another day to finish the job thoroughly or sent the right amount of guys to do the work right. We thought we were happy with everything until we were able to walk around during daylight hours. (There were nails on the ground and driveway, broken glass, the front porch was a mess, they urinated in our driveway!(no one asked to use the restroom)etc...) In hindsight, I would NEVER again sign the paper they want you to sign asking if you are happy with the work, especially if it is dark outside. We talked with Chris our salesman, he came back out to check the job and even noticed things that we didn't! And due to manufacturer error, we already needed to replace a window. When the guys came to do that, they didn't know anything about the extra stuff they needed to take care of that the first crew should have done. But shortly after they left, they came back and completed everything, after I contacted Chris again. Now almost 2 months after the initial install, I think we are finally happy with the work. It seems to me that Southern Siding did try to resolve the issues which is important if they want to stay in business.
***After a year they are supposed to do an inspection and they give you a coupon to send in to schedule it. I mailed it in and had to call and call to get someone to come out and was told they never received my coupon. When he did come out, he barely looked at the windows and only wanted to know what WE had found wrong!! Seriously?! What is the point of the inspection then??????? It took them 2 months to fix a problem with one of the windows....I can't EVER recommend this company.....Such a disappointment.....I'm sorry I ever said I was happy with their work and that I ever chose them to do the work.

Stay away from this company. They will promise you everything and tell you they are a family company. Once you sign the contract you can not reach anyone. Carlo's voice mail is FULL. Everyone can't be reached right now so leave a message......UNBELIEVABLE! Lie, lie, lie! A guy comes by to measure for gutters, goes to wrong town, calls says office said Aiken. Shows up and didnt have what type of gutter, where they were going, what color, downspouts....and so on. HE IS ORDERING THE GUTTERS AND DID NOT KNOW? WHAT A DYSFUNCTIONAL COMPANY. Please read first sentence.

This will be third time using this company's services and each time is an absolute pleasure. These folks care about you and your family's needs and follow through with their commitment to you long after the job is complete. They make an appointment to meet with you each year to make sure you are satisfied with the product you purchased and discuss any problems or concerns. This will be our second time purchasing windows from this company. We have also used them to build a beautiful deck on a home we sold in North Augusta, SC. I love the quality of these windows and would recommend this company to anyone looking to replace old outdated windows/decks.

These people are NUTS! Complete waste of time even getting estimate. I was lectured on my Wife not being there for the estimate 3 times and finally had to kick them off my property for refusing to give a complete estimate to me unless I let them in my house! When I asked to just give me a number the estimator started arguing that he needed to schedule another appointment for that because he "...needed more time to explain why they are $1500 more than all other companies.." Beware of the drama. Also, check out the 6 complaints they have on the BBB website!

We are completely satisfied with our patio cover. It was completed as planned, on schedule, and we were able to have a party for our daughter who is gravely ill thanks to Southern Siding. They saw to it the project was complete in time for our daughters party. That kind of compassion and caring about customers is such a rare characteristic in the business world of today.
These are genuinely honest, hard working people who will make sure you re satisfied with their product.
Mr David Hunter and the owner Mr Jim Felton both have conducted follow up visits to make sure we were completely satisfied.

The crew that came out to install siding on my 1908 3-story Victorian home did an incredible job. The crew was extremely professional and the house looked amazing! Two years later I had the same crew come out to install siding on a detached garage. I would highly recommend them!

Had an appointment set two weeks in advance. Planned my day around the appointment. No one showed up. When I called, they said they had tried to confirm the appointment the day before. Rather than leave a message so that we could return the call and confirm, they just decided to not show up. I missed over half a day of work. Very unprofessional. Looking for a company now that uses professionalism and common sense.

I went with Southern Siding for new gutters first, the "sales" meeting was completely unnecessary and I don't like wasting my time. The guy showed up and insulted me by saying he preferred to discuss options with my husband present. First of all, the house is on my name and I handle the house maintenance. This isn't the 1950s. I am capable of making a decision without my husband. He repeatedly tried to sell me on the company... I already researched and I knew I was going with them... so this irritated me. Finally got to the point of signing the contract... which I made him come back for because he said it was going to take so much time to draw them up and I didn't want to wait around. So he came back, I signed the paper and gave my deposit.

I was told 6 weeks to install. At least they warn you it's going to be a minute. So, 6 weeks came... no word. I called and it took me a couple days to get in touch with them because they don't leave voicemails. Finally, about 2 weeks later got my appointment for installation.

The day of installation came, the guys did an awesome job. That's why they get 3 stars. The rest of the experience was awful... but the installers were awesome. Very patient and worked with me since I couldn't be home. They texted me photo options.

This company needs to ditch the old fashioned mentality because I was offended... and I'm sure I'm not the only one... and I repeatedly told them I did t need a sales pitch... that I just wanted to see the options and the price.

Very nice windows and great customer service. Had one defect which was corrected very quickly. Only issue was that the new windows prevented the use if our Levelor blinds. The vinyl windows take up some of the frame. Otherwise windows are great. Easy to clean and open and close.

I haven't personally done business with this company, but they have had a group of folks on foot doing door-to-door solicitation in our neighborhood, and this is the #1 most annoying practice for any local business. For folks who are home during the day, they often have pets, small children, or are working from home - and having an unexpected Salesman knocking at the door is irritating and unwelcome. To their credit, I called and asked them to remove me from the list of houses they will solicit in the future and the person I spoke with was polite.
