Just not the same... I bought my Jeep SRT8 five years ago in Saco and have always had it serviced there. I had an oil change in April and asked the service writer to have my tech do a test drive for a noise. Unfortunately, that message was not relayed to my technician so I still have the noise. I made an appointment (10 days ago) to look into the noise issue, but yesterday when I arrived for my appointment, I learned that my tech was on a 'flat rate' system and couldn't do a test ride with me because he wouldn't get paid. This seems strange to me and certainly a tough way for a technician to make a living. They offered another tech but I didn't feel comfortable with that idea. The service department is just not the same since it changed hands... sad.

Went in for oil change and Inspection sticker, oil change was done well, I was handed a repair bill for 2700 dollars for the jeep to pass MSI. I agree that the jeep needed brakes. Tech stated that the engine was dripping oil. There are no oil drips or stains in my driveway indicating a leak. Placed cardboard under the engine. Tech claimed that his bay had oil drips from my vehicle.
Will do brakes/seals my self and will save almost $2000.00

I bought my Jeep there and brought proof that I could get a lower interest rate. The deal took two days so they called and said they matched the interest rate. I went in to sign that night and saw they matched my payment number but not my interest rate. It was late in the evening so I signed even though I could get a half point lower from my credit union. I refinanced out of spite. My deal was that they would get me a hardtop. They said they d have it in a month. Four months later I didn t have it. I had them refund that money and within a day, dodge in Westbrook had one on my Jeep.
My coworker brought his truck there for a broken manifold bolt and it took four days to get in the shop.The service manager could have scheduled it better I d say. They kept his truck for a week for a job that should take a day.. My wife s lease is up in May, definitely not doing business with them again.

I stopped by to ask some questions about the Jeep Renegade and I wound up walking out with a brand new one. Several people were involved with helping me make all of the important decisions. I have purchased a service contract for oil change and tire rotation. Unfortunately, my jeep had become a total loss. I was not refunded any money for my unused contract. I believe it is a responsibility of a dealership (they advised me to get this contract and did not tell me that no refund will be granted in the event of loss of vehicle). This is very dishonest.

I do not even know where to begin, from the lack of customer service, constant miscommunication, lack of professionalism, to the lack of competence. I just had to call into the dealership 4 times to finally get in hold with someone in the sales department. Once was told the manager was not in, another time to hear that there's a whole group of sales guys chatting and then I'm sent to a voicemail, to then the manager answering. Ironic. That is the tip of the iceberg with this dealership. Even speaking with the manager has done nothing. I began with a lease and then had to purchase the vehicle because of extra miles. If I had a choice, I would not have stuck with this location. I have countless stories of my experiences with this dealership. recently was able to purchase a new vehicle and decided on buying a Jeep. I met Michael outside in the rain by the entry doors. He was extremely friendly and approachable and offered to help me look for the perfect vehicle. He sat down at the computer and went through the inventory with me until we found the vehicle I was interested in checking out. He never tried to steer me to any particular vehicle but was interested in finding out what type of things I wanted in a vehicle and showed me what they had in their inventory that met my wants and needs. From there we went and test drove the vehicle. I found him to be extremely pleasant and very knowledgeable about the vehicle. After the test drive we discussed purchase vs lease and trade-in value of my vehicle and the selling price with the trade-in. I was on a bit of a time crunch and had to return back to work so he made sure the preliminary paperwork was completed and given to finance to get the back loan rate for me. I told him I could come back the next day to finish up so he let me take the vehicle home while they ironed out the financial details. When I returned the next day, he was working with another customer but made sure I got to finance then brought me out to the vehicle and went through everything more thoroughly and made sure I understood the features and answered all of my questions. I was very impressed with his working knowledge of the vehicle. He asked my permission to contact me again to make sure everything was going ok and to be available to answer any questions. He also indicated I could contact him at any time if I had any questions as well. I really enjoyed my experience and would highly recommend Michael and Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to anyone in the market for a new or used vehicle.

I previously purchased a discounted oil change package. I called the morning of service and they fit me in that afternoon. I came with book in hand, as well as laptop (to do taxes). Paperwork basically consisted of me signing my name. I enjoyed conversations with other happy service customers in a comfortable waiting area. My car was ready before I even finished my hot chocolate! I then used my free car wash coupon at a place I literally had to drive by on the way home. (First time at car wash & will gladly go back!)

If you would like to test drive a used vehicle on their lot, DO NOT make an appointment with them. They will move that car off the lot and attempt to sell you a new vehicle. I drove 2 hours to test drive a vehicle that mysteriously wasn t on the the lot and they couldn t tell me where it went. This place is the opitome of scummy dealerships.

This experience was very low keyed with no high pressure sales - everyone I dealt with very courteous and attentive. I was very relaxed through the whole process. I went through another dealership to purchase a Ram Truck last July and the people at Southern Maine Motors put that dealership to shame! Southern Maine Motors is a wonderful dealership and I would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone.
9/19/18 I brought in my 2014 Jeep Cherokee for non-start problem - when the tow truck dropped it off they called me to let me know. They called a few minutes later to say the battery needed replacing and I authorized them to replace it. I also needed an inspection sticker this month so they did an inspection and found the 2 front tires needed replacing (which I knew) and they were able to replace them and do an alignment while it was there. Service was great - they called me around 12:15 when vehicle arrived at their shop and vehicle was ready to be picked up a little after 4:00. This is amazing service!

The service department never picks up the phone, I called once and left a message and called once an hour for the next several hours. No answer and no call back. I called the front desk to complain and she passed me to someone who she said was sitting in his office in service and guess what, it went to voicemail. So I called back to the front desk got the same woman and told her so and so did not pick up the phone, she said that's strange he is sitting at his desk. How do you run a service department when nobody answers the phone to provide service. VERY FRUSTRATING.

Although I was scammed by a service garage last September who replaced my driveshaft and didn't tell me there was a warranty. Your service department fought to get it taking care of. Although my claim was denied, I'll never take my jeep anywhere else. Thanks for trying to help me out. Summary: The Service Department left me with a broken right front coil spring and a bad brake line. I was VERY lucky that this was found by another mechanic as I could not feel it driving. If the spring had punctured my tire on the highway, or the brake line failed it could have been a disaster. Details below:
I brought my 2008 Jeep Wrangler in for recall work, a U-Joint, and to inspect a check engine light / AC issue. the repair work to fix both the check engine light AND the AC issue ended up being a single corroded ground wire. Replacing the wire totaled almost $400 in labor and I was told the wiring was "difficult" adding to the cost.
2 weeks later I happened to be at my mechanic for winter undercoating and he showed me I had a broken right front coil spring (next to the U-Joint that was replaced) that could puncture my tire at any time. He also showed me that my brake line was seriously rusted/expanded and could burst. He said I should NOT be driving the vehicle.
I rechecked my invoice from Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep and the broken coil spring WAS documented in their "Multi-point inspection," BUT no one ever told me of this problem and let me drive the car home. There were multiple people in the customer service chain and no one mentioned any safety issues from the mechanic, the person calling me saying the "vehicle was ready" to the person that checked me out.
I'm very concerned with both the quality of the work done on my Jeep, the information related at the time of pick up, as well as the cost that I paid for the "grounding wire" work. There should be procedures in place to prevent clear safety issues from leaving the service department.
After informing the Owner and Service Manager I got a call from the Service Manager who defended the situation saying the broken spring was written on the invoice and was not sure why I wasn't told. He did apologize and offer to put in a new after-market spring (that I would order.) I declined this as all 4 springs should be replaced (as any good mechanic would have recommended)

Pretty disappointed after being there today. The salesman was kind and wasn't pushy, but didn't seem to care about the sale. My wife, daughter, and I went to view some cars we saw online. After seeing the ones we saw online we decided that they were too small for a growing family. We still test drove one, but quickly confirmed that in person this model was too small. We showed interest in a larger model and slightly more expensive model. We never even got to test drive the larger model. After the first test drive the salesman said "lets go look at numbers". After looking at our trade-in the salesman asked if I had done my due diligence and looked into the trade value. (which I had, but tossed out a lower number to see the outcome) he jumped on the lower value. A trade worth 5,200 - 6,500 they offered 4000. After looking at the monthly payment they came back with which was only about 60 dollars over what I can budget they said that was it... There was no other negotiations. They never even got real interest rates from banks. He only came back with "what if" numbers. It bothered me that he told me that my 7 year old trade in with 77,000 miles was probably going to require major repairs soon, but in the next breath told me that cars now will go for 300,000 miles and not rust out even in Maine weather. My trade in was in a 5 mph fender bender a year ago which was not our fault so we filed an insurance claim (who wouldn't when it isn't your fault?) We were told that since we filed an insurance claim and it is on the carfax they couldn't offer the 5,000 they would have. The vehicle that we were allowed to test drive was a 2014 with 41,000 miles with a "internet sale price" of 15,300. Another dealer 10 miles away offered the same car 2016 with 21,000 miles with a price of 15,900. 2 years newer with half the miles, but they can't budge on price? After hours at this dealership with ZERO enthusiasm from the salesman we left in the same car we arrived in. They were only 60 dollars away from our monthly budget and showed zero interest on fitting our needs. We were told that a 1% difference in interest rate would drop the monthly payment by 20 dollars per month. So I did this thing where I went into a dealership I just happened to be driving past the other day, (there were some pretty trucks there - yes I said 'pretty'). I mostly had intended to open up a dialog with a sales person at Southern Maine Chrysler, Dodge and Jeep, in order to get some info and possibly at some point in the future, purchase a new RAM. Well little did I know I was waltzing into one of the best dealerships in New England. Upon entering, I met a rather chill guy by the name of Jack Dowd at the door (who just happened to be 2017's salesman of the year or something similar to that accolade) and to make a long story short, I left a couple of hours later with a brand new truck. I really did not expect to drive something off the lot that day but I was offered just too good of a deal to pass up and Mr. Dowd as well as the unseen heroes at SMCDJ made the entire process really, really easy. I would recommend anyone to this lovely place, it was a completely relaxing truck-buying experience for me. But don't take my word for it, go talk to someone there yourself and be pleasantly surprised when you drive something new off of the lot. :)

Ordered a new key fob for company vehicle 1 week ago and was told it would be there within 3 days. Scheduled appointment to have key fob synced to vehicle and drove down from Bethel for appointment. After being bounced between service department reps (who didn't have much personality or acknowledgement of customers), they took in my vehicle and I waited a half hour before they told me that they didn't have the key fob.
Best part of the experience was using their clean bathroom.

Although we have purchased several vehicles in our lifetime, I have to say this purchase was by far our best experience.
Our journey started with a welcome from friendly staff that (at our request) brought us to the Sales Manager, Dave Belliveau, on to Tammy Sutherland, (Wonder Woman) and then with Gayle Martin in Finance. Each person knew their job extremely well and streamlined the hand-off with a personal touch and great efficiency. Tammy made sure that we were introduced to each department, putting a face to a name. She also reassured us that we could call her anytime and she would act as our liaison for whatever we needed.
We received phone and email messages welcoming us to the family at Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge....a nice touch. Tammy actually called us the next morning after our purchase to ensure we were happy with our selection.

My brother is a Chrysler employee in another state and this allows for me to get employee pricing when I buy a new vehicle. Well to my surprise the prices here at Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram are below even the employee pricing. I've bought a few Chrysler/Dodge vehicles over the years and this has never happened before. Anthony "Tony" Fuller was my sales person and let me just say he knows the product he's selling!! My wife and I were very impressed that he went over all the options and details of the Jeep Cherokee we were considering. My wife is a huge Toyota RAV4 fan and we ended up buying the Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk so that speaks volumes for Tony and the dealership.

I had a great experiences with Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram thanks mostly to the professional and caring work of Tammy Sutherland, my salesperson. Tammy bent over backwards to work within my budget and put me in the car of my choice, I was impressed by her sincere desire to help me out of a tough situation. My car had to be towed to the dealership and required another engine after overheating and losing it's coolant on the highway. It never left the service department so I needed another car. I explained to Tammy my budget and she worked within those parameters and accommodated me every step of the way, including allowing me to take the car I purchased from her (2015 Subaru Impreza) to our local Subaru service techs for an exam. It checked out perfectly. I was impressed with the fact that she permitted me to take the car overnight to do this. When I had confirmed the car's worthiness, I was happy to complete the deal with Tammy and brought the car back to them with check in hand. The purchase went very smoothly and enjoyably under very difficult circumstances with my car not worth the cost of its repair. I never felt she took advantage of that in the negotiations of the car I purchased. Quite the opposite. She seemed to bring a sincere and genuine interest in my needs budget and desires for a replacement vehicle. From the minute we first walked in everyone was great! Everyone we talked to was friendly, helpful, patient, and made the experience easy and enjoyable. Tammy (our sales person) was outstanding, she listened to our questions, and gave or got us answers (even the ones about the popcorn and hot chocolate from our kids!). We left feeling very comfortable with our decision. Preston (the sales manager) was amazing as well, working with us to overcome our concerns and getting us the best deal he could, and one we felt comfortable making. I dropped the Jeep off the night before the appt, 8 days later they still hadn't performed any of the scheduled work on the Jeep. Many excuses, nothing worth a dime. I will look into getting the work done at a different dealer. No confidence in prime Jeep.

Just bought a 2014 Ram 1500 Express Crew Cab 4x4 from Mac.Although it was Emily that brought me into Southern Maine Chrysler Dodge via the website, Mac made my decision easy. I drove a Ford F150, which I liked, but Mac made me much more comfortable. He dug different models out of the snow covered lot for me to test drive, and each time he did it with smile. Great team, very courteous, and genuine people. Really appreciate the employees I ve interacted with throughout my entire first experience at Prime Dodge. My first call was a line of questions and the service rep was patient and knowledgeable and gave me confidence this is where I should get work done on my Promaster. I called back to schedule an appointment and got my first request no problem. I showed up 10 mins late (thanks, Rte 1!) and they were still happy to add an oil change to my service order last minute. Ashley and Mark were overly considerate making sure I was kept up to date on the status of my vehicle after one of their machines failed; and a service tech stayed late (even driving to another Prime location to use their machines) to complete my appointment same day. Stuff happens, but they got it done. Happy holidays and see you down the road!
