This review pertains to the Guild Village, not the Guild itself.

Disappointing. As someone who has worked near this location for a decade now, the village is currently in a very sad state. I can't imagine what new students are thinking when they visit the "central" student location and see all the empty stores for the first time. The fact that many are temporarily filled with bits and bobs from student events does not reassure me that these will be filled any time soon. The fact is made worse that many of these stores have been empty for over a year now. Hairdresser - gone. Newsagent - gone. Coop book store - almost gone. Got a tiny IGA now, though it replaces a guild-run cafe.

It is unclear whether the guild village has fallen into this state through neglect or mismanagement, but I hope that the situation is remedied in the near future as the students deserve better.

One of the best student associations in the nation. Did not know that student volunteers can achieve so much in University! Their services, cafe outlets, events, clubs and societies really enhances a student's life in UWA!

One of the great rorts. Student and ammenities fees funding these turkeys. Have dealt with them once or twice and every time, as expected it is some elitist golden triangle hedge-fund kid trying to be man of the people. Waste of time really. They have been in a few fairly controversial situations too. If you are here for uni, just try to avoid.
