Nice show venue. Moderately comfortable seating. Good acoustics and sight lines.
Nice show venue. Moderately comfortable seating. Good acoustics and sight lines.
Went for toopy and Binoo was a great show with good price. Easy parking closed by.
We had a blast :)
Parking isn't great, and confusing at best. The roads are confusing and small and the concessions are pricey. I wish Calgary would have better cultural attractions that are recognized internationally.
Fantastic auditorium with excellent acoustics.
This is definitely one of my favourite venues for live performances, especially music based. I don't think there is a bad seat in the house (none obstructed}.
There are several seating lounges throughout as well as multiple refreshment spots on all level of the facility. Definitely take time to enjoy all of the art on display.
Very clean and elegant. Saw Phantom of the Opera recently and had a great time. Staff were very helpful and plesant.
To answer Morrissey, whose performance here in October was stunning and questioned, "why do [I] come here?" --typically it's for high school grad ceremonies but if there was a fav band or artist to hear and see here, I'd do it over again in a flash.
Always a good time at the shows. Staff is professional. Bar service could be more efficient. Maybe post signs about London Bar service. Take cash for tips.
I have yet to see a bad show or find a bad seat. The staff are fantastic and ensure the audience is undistrubed while making what concessions they can for latecomers.
Went to see Johnny Reid. Enjoy shows at Jubilee. Get there early to get s good parking spot and avoid the crowds.
Easy access by public transport which is the best way the go as parking at the venue can be a nightmare to get out. Acoustics are fantastic at this auditorium as well.
Best place in the city to see a concert or any type of presentation it was built quite a few years ago but it was done so well with removable roof and adjustable walls that can adjust to any type of performance from a hard rock band to the symphony or Opera best place in town for any type of musical presentation
This is one of the best venues in Calgary. Everything about this place ...just screams...happiness!
Great place for comfort and any shows that are in this place
Excellent venue but they need more pay stations. Huge lineup to pre pay for parking
If you get the chance to experience a concert here, I highly recommend. Last night I got to enjoy the Marianas Trench concert and the sound quality within this concert hall was fantastic. I really hope that I get to experience more concerts at this location
I don't go to plays that often come from away was really good.
First experience in this venue but it was a good one. The seats were old, but had enough leg room for just about everyone. The sloping angle did make it tough to see past people who are above about 6 feet tall (had one in front of me) but you can hardly complain about an engineering design as old as this. We will be happy to return again if another concert or show tickles our fancy at this location.
Hate this place! Been going here for over 40 years and it has terrible seats and terrible parking. It should be knocked down as it is really showing it's age. I feel sorry if you are on the 2nd or 3rd balcony. There are no screens to see what is happening on stage. Poor quality sound system. If you are tall you are going find the seats cramped and uncomfortable. Needs a major renovation!
Watching a show here is generally better than most places as the seats are organized for maximum viewing. However their bartenders are extremely SLOW
Nice place. Parking fees creeping up. Difficult to get a good seat with clear view for us short people.
Best venue to see a show. Not a bad seat in the house.
Very good venue for concerts, plays, and the like; good sightlines and acoustics from all seats since the remodel a few years ago. Docked one star because on my last visit the beer selection at the bar was crap: Bud, Canadian, and Corona. C'mon, it's a night out, we want something special! (Wine selection was okay, though.)
Amazing place, the sound inside is simply incredible.
Too hard to enjoy the performances when you're cramped in horribly uncomfortable seats
Great venue for a concert. Only thing...not enough employees working at beverage service which lead to long lineups. Otherwise great venue for concerts.
Come from away! Best musical ever. Sorry Andrew Lloyd Webber.....
Phantom of the Opera was great, and so was the nutcracker. Theater seats are comfortable.
What a treat to go there and see a performance. beautiful building.
As owner of A laptop Shoppe, I appreciate the hard-working staff and volunteers as well as all the wonderful entertainment presented here today was the 150th anniversary celebration with a variety of Folk Festival performers it was a very entertaining professional as well as fun
I have been to the Jube many times, but haven't been for a couple of years prior to the Book of Mormon show that we saw today. The theater itself is lovely, but the bathroom and parking situation is absolutely atrocious. We waited half an hour just to get into the parking lot, and over 40 minutes to get out. Also the women's washrooms were all completely full with at least a 10 minute wait while the men's washrooms were completely empty. Good luck trying to get a drink and use the washroom at intermission. This kind of put a damper on my experience
Amazing theater! I had a lovely time. Juke Box Hero reminded me of my time in drama in school back in that stinkhole of a town.
If you want a good place to eat and see if she'll go to Stage West with your friends and enjoy the good food and a good show and have a great time with your friends and enjoy the show
So many venues. Dr Jordan Peterson was one of the best.
Really nice place, we went to watch a musical last week.
All the seats are pretty good. about 775 youth performing on stage!
Beautiful theater. Lots of parking. Great view of show where ever you sit. Was there to see Russel Brand!
Acoustics were fantastic. We had floor seats and they were very uncomfortable and dated.
Met bill nye and the accommodations were plenty but I 500 ml drink cost 5-7 for ice tea :/
Great place to see a show! Not a big fan of paying for parking when you're already paying for a show but is what it is.
Went there to see the Calgary Opera. the acoustics were amazing. And the seating was good.
I've had many pleasurable experiences at the Jubilee, but none quite so intriguing as my most recent visit.
While catering an event for the Alberta Ballet, I discovered an art exhibit displaying paintings by a friend and former colleague of mine. The small glimpses of her life along that path were as eye opening as her striking canvases.
I look forward to the next exhibit.
So very disappointed by the fact that we cannot buy opera tickers there. Calgary Opera uses an American call centre and you have to pay US dollars for the tickets and the can only be purchased online.
True about the parking being bad, but the acoustics are great and actually make this one of the better venues in Calgary for music.
Great place to see a show, sound is amazing and there isn't a bad seat in the house.
We're so lucky to have such a great auditorium.
Also check out the visual art on display in and near the building. Paintings inside that change often, and an epic Robert the Bruce on horseback statue out front (though a bit hidden).
Went to see The Nutcracker. Very good prooduction. Perfect for families.
Saw the new opera Everest. Well done. First opera for my kids and they would come back!
Great venue but drink prices are too high. 10.00 for 5 of wine
Love this concert hall. Seen my fair share of great shows there. As well as my graduation ceremony from SAIT. Always runs smoorh, and the staff are very helpful. It's also right off the c-trane station.
Sounds Amazing!
Nutcracker show was amazing, however bar was not organized well, line for a drink was very very long and not enough coffee for all people in the line. So as a result I was late for second part because I wait in line to long. Otherwise it's good place to go to.
Some one in charge decided that the paying public is less than 6 ft tall and does not deserve any comfort when sitting and watching a performance. I will never go back to this venue. I am not a sardine!!#..#%!&
Have gone to see comedy and Broadway shows here at the jubilee and its great. It's an amazing venue, lots of seating and they do bring great shows and events. Also, taking the train down is a convenient way to get here if you don't want to pay for parking.
Make sure you atleast reach an hour before as the parking is a nightmare.
Great venue! Excellent sound and comfortable seating.
Site of various musical, cultural and theater meetings
The Jubilee is a superb venue to visit for events from opera acts to rock concerts. It's well managed, super clean and the staff is always friendly and helpful. The washrooms are sparkling clean. The only downside is the long line ups for liquor. They could offer more staff and another bar counter in my opinion. Parking is also adequate, I have attended many events here over the last two decades and never have had any issues with parking.
I highly recommend "The Jube".
Loved Shen yun. What a great performance. Even a little comedy. Absolutely loved it. A great night out. Jubilee is still the same as always. But very clean and well kept up. Good job staff!!!
Attended a school event and there was special parking prices in effect. Wasn't bad exiting parking lot compared to other events we have attended
