I purchased a couch from here and it needed to be assembled they didn't offer to help and I was injured with a Brace on my arm I asked the two gentlemen for help they told me that's all they are required to do ridiculous even Rent-a-center offered to help assemble when I purchased from them never again.

My credit card was swiped twice because a receipt ...

My credit card was swiped twice because a receipt didn't print. My cell noted the transaction went through! The manager instructed the employee to swipe my card again. A receipt was printed BUT my cell now noted two charges from the same store for the same furniture. The manager used another customer's experience as being similar and THEY didn't pay for their furniture as justification for the furniture transaction being billed twice and after 5 days the first transaction would fall of? It didn't. He then avoided me and investigation by the credit card was complicated by noting different previous furniture purchases! I will never purchased Any furniture from THIS STORE AGAIN?!!
A previous loyal and return customer erased by this horrible transaction ordered by the manager at this very store. Charged TWICE for a sectional because of another customers purchase. My money will NEVER be used at BUSINESS AGAIN....BEWARE

Large selection. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Darren is really helpful, and will help you find the best furniture at a good price. I really enjoyed shopping here and I love my new couch, love chair, and ottoman. Very sturdy and well made. Thank you Darren for all your help ! Carmen

This is my second time shopping at Southeastern Furniture and I dealt with Darren both times. He was courteous and very willing to find what we were shopping for. He seems to enjoy his job and makes it a fun experience. You have got to come in & see Darren! Great prices and great experience!

Just bought a great piece of furniture from this place. However, texting, and cell phone use during sales opportunities is completely rude and unprofessional. I'm sure if they reed this review they'd laugh it off and keep doing it. Obviously these folks don't care if they make a sale or not. (If my paycheck came solely from commission then I'd put my personal life aside and make money providing professional courtesy to customers instead of having a "I don't care" attitude.

The Manager owner was rude and very unprofessional...

The Manager owner was rude and very unprofessional. He gave us someone else paperwork with all their personal information on it. He talked about all his customers to us that came in to make payments in the end I did not get any furniture from him on top. Of the furniture he had looked used and dirty. Not a place I recommend for home needs.

I hate it because the guy say they dont do credit check all i need is I.D. so we get to desk he ask for my ssn.. o asked why and he said he dont understand why idw give it to him. I said because u dont do credit checks so you dont need it right? And he said he did need it but wouldn't tell me why so i assume he was trying to run it. But whatever good-bye

Trash! I purchased a bedroom suite and the guy scratched my headboard and tried to convince me that it was already there. Then when trying to speak to the manager, he was totally dismissive and rude. Nevertheless, the furniture is cheap and I wouldn't even recommend prisoners to sleep on their beds.

Great customer service..bought a $30.00 bed frame and was treated like I spent $3000,00. Was spoken to by everyone I made contact with with NO pressure to buy anything else.
Bought a second one this weekend(05/21/2016) and was treated exactly the same way..some of the nicest people I've ever met!!!

Excellent customer service. Nice variety of furniture. Prices are reasonable. They are always running specials. Delivery is also available. Delivery drivers are courteous and will telephone even if they are only 2 minutes behind schedule.

All I can say is WOW and I don't mean that in a go...

All I can say is WOW and I don't mean that in a good way. To make a long story short...My mother just moved to the area and needed a living room set and I suggested Southeastern Furniture because I had seen some of their ads and great deals on Craigslist. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by a salesman who would eventually be the one to assist us in my mother's purchase, as she was able to find a sectional and coffee table/end table set that she liked. The purchase process is when everything went downhill quickly. First of all, the process was lengthy. My mother began to complain quietly to me and my family and I quickly told her to just be patient because they were helping us get a good deal. I was unaware at that time that the man (not our salesman) assisting with the financing process, was rude and trying to rush her when she was attempting to provide him with information. After patiently waiting, our salesman came over and informed my mother that the tables she wanted were no longer available but she would be able to take the floor set. We simply asked if there would be a discount, as I'm pretty sure NO ONE would want to pay full price for tables that have fingerprints all over them and broken candlestick holders. They said no. "We're already giving you a good deal as it is." As a person who works in customer service, I understood if that was a store policy and wasn't planning on complaining about it, just again didn't want to pay full price for used tables. They wanted to rush my mom to find different tables and this is where things got completely uncalled for. Another salesman who had absolutely NOTHING to do with the sale whatsoever walked by and said "You mean to tell me you can't find ANY other tables you like in this entire place" in the rudest tone and literally rolled his eyes and walked away. He didn't even allow us to respond to such a rude comment. I watched my family's jaws drop and they were honestly stunned and didn't know what to say. At this point, I HAD to stand up and voice my opinion and I admit, these a**holes got me acting a tad ratchet. I said "I work in customer service and if I EVER spoke to a customer that way, I would be fired!" Their response: "Oh really?" There was a man sitting on another couch who the salesmen kept going to (I'm assuming the manager) who watched the entire thing unfold but wouldn't even get up to apologize for the salesman's actions. I honestly felt bad for our personal salesman because he was very helpful and he quickly lost a sale that day. We walked out and my mom ended up finding a beautiful, quality set at Ashley Furniture instead. It's sad because we saw another couple walk out right behind us and I was planning on going back with my boyfriend for our new furniture. So ultimately, they ended up losing 3 sales for one incident. I'm sorry but I work hard for my money and I just can't justify dropping hundreds or thousands of dollars in a place with not poor, but terrible customer service.

Just moved to Greensboro for college. I stopped here first and should have purchased. Wasted time checking other stores. Ended up going back the next morning. Plus, when they found out I didn't have furniture in my new apartment and was sleeping on an air mattress, they delivered that same day!

I ordered a living room set back in October...it was a couch, love seat with pillows decor pillows for both pieces, coffee table, two end tables, and two lamps all under $700. The furniture looked way better than it did in the store. We went around 9:00 am on a Saturday morning and they delivered it at 10:00 am the same morning. I went in the store told them what I had to spend and what I was looking for and the man there at the time was very helpful. So far so good it has been 3 months and the furniture is still holding up pretty so I am pretty much satisfied with the outcome of my visit.

I absolutely love this place. Every time I buy furniture for my home I drive all the way to NC just to come here. I have never shopped anywhere since I discovered this amazing store. The prices are fantastic, and the quality of the furniture is great! The customer service is always outstanding. Your greeted as soon as you walk in. This place is a must shop at store for furniture for you whole home!

Today after five years of faithful repeat business...

Today after five years of faithful repeat business with this company I had the WORST experience ever! I went in looking for an "as is" table for my design studio and found a big enough piece rather fairly priced. I'd purchased another table from them not more than six weeks ago as well as leased a living room set for my business space. Never had an issue. After my purchase was complete the gentleman who wasn't handling my purchase asked if all I got was the table by itself. I replied "yes cause that's all I need today" and smiled. He said they can't deliver just a table. I told him I paid the $25 delivery fee. The female employee and I were equally shocked by his stern response that THEY CANT DO THAT! She and I both explained I drive a Camry and cannot haul it in my car I have ZERO problem paying the fee. His EXACT response was " the owner doesn't care if you pay $100, they aren't allowed to deliver a single table!" I'm so upset because the woman kept saying she will take the fall back or whatever. I asked if I leave now anyway will my table be delivered on Monday as scheduled he simply said " no it won't". I told them give me money back then. He says " we normally don't refund but since you're still here we will refund you" WHAT!!!! I have never been so frustrated, upset, and down right perplexed about a business turning down money EVER!!! It made ABSOLUTELY no sense and I will NEVER spend money here or REFER them EVER again! I got my money refunded to my card and it better come back cause now I have to wait however many days to get $99 for a two minute transaction. Terrible policy and even worse I picked an EIGHT seater table for $69 and they also had a ragged four seater table less than half the quality for THE SAME PRICE!!! HOW???? STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Please DO NOT FALL For The Innocence Of The COMMERCIAL'S ON THE T.V. (TELEVISION). THEY WILL TAKE YOUR MONEY $$$. IT'S A DUCK, & I KNEW BETTER. I am a TORNADO VICTIM/SURVIVOR. Even if not, I saw the commercials. Don't Do It. The MATTRESS I PAID CASH MONEY $$$ for. You can feel the springs after TWO WEEKS. THEN it is PRIVATELY OWNED. NO Customer Service, the run around. Rude when you call. It Is A Duck.

My daughter and son in law had put down a deposit on a bedroom set and small dining room set. My son in law had to go on active duty in Maryland and will be gone for 9 months so we went to Southeastern Furniture to ask for either their down payment back or to move the down payment to the dining set as it is smaller and my daughter can move it with her when she joins her husband out of state. We explained the situation to the employee and he not only refused to refund their money he also refused to move the down payment to the dining set. The employee told us to "do what we have to do" when it comes to letting our family and friends and Southeastern's business practices. My husband and I have shopped there many times but never again. They would rather lose business than return $290 to a young married couple who is in the military training to protect us all.. Shame on you Southeastern Furniture.

Smoke and mirrors. They do what needs to be done to sell the items but have no plans on backing their products. Spent 2 grand on a sectional that started to bubble and peel after a few months. I spent 10 months listening to lies and no returned calls or no call no from store manager bob. Be warned go else where.

As soon as we walked in the door Darren greeted us and helped us through our entire shopping experience!

Found a nice small sectional for $310 out the door. Darren was friendly, professional, and helpful to make sure all of my needs were met furniture-wise for my new apartment!

I would HIGHLY recommend Southeastern furniture for any of your furniture needs!

My husband and I bought our first living room set ...

My husband and I bought our first living room set from Southeast Furniture. We went in saw what we wanted and pretty much bought it. We paid the extra $50 for delivery and set up but the guys who brought it just dropped it off with no set up. We thought there was a piece missing so we called them, we were told that Gary would call us back and he never did. Luckily the piece was found under the frame of the sofa. We love the furniture but very disappointed when you pay extra for delivery and set up and they don t do what is promised to you or what you paid for.

I shopped at Southeastern 6 years ago and had a wonderful experience. So last week I went back to purchase over $2,000 worth of furniture. Unfortunately due to my personal circumstances and sudden health issue, the same day I had to cancel the order. The manager Gary was nothing less than a bully, rude and unreasonable about canceling the order. He made threats and refused. I have had to spend two days calling the leasing companies to get the orders canceled and my deposits refunded. Yes, their paperwork says no cancelation or returns BUT I myself have worked in retail for 18 years and you get much more customer loyalty with compassion and flexibility. I had not received the delivery yet so did not understand the issue. After Gary hung up on me twice I ended up getting another kind and understanding employee to help me out getting the agreements cancelled and my money refunded. I hope to do business with Southeasteen in the future but WILL NOT unless the owners get a new manager.
