Young couple from NY/NJ traveled 10/11/2019-10/16/2019 for First Anniversary/Babymoon to Bermuda and stayed at The Fairmont Southhampton. The concierge arranged a shared transport which was easy to locate in the airport. The ride was about 40 minutes from airport to hotel. Upon arrival we were greeted by staff and went through a quick check-in process. Our room was mostly clean ( few flakes of dust here and there ). The full breakfast option is worth every penny. Yes, it is expensive however, you will not save yourself money but not taking this option. Everything in Bermuda is 3-6x what we pay in the states. (Ex: 1 bottle of water $6.00, 1 can of soda $4.00, etc.) It has an abundance of options with additional fixings to satisfy the most picky pallet. The service at the hotel overall is top notch! The hotel is located on top of a hill and the beach is not directly connected to it. They have shuttle buses running every few minutes transporting everyone to the beach area/ other restaurants that are affiliated with the hotel (Ocean Club, Waterlot, Boundary etc) The beach is extraordinarily clean, has an option to rent kayaks, noodles, snorkeling equipment and diving experience. The earlier you go, the more colorful fish you see enjoying their breakfast by the rocks. The outdoor pool ( which is attached to the hotel ) , is a little on the small side for the size of the hotel, however, they do have another option which is the indoor spa pool which is massive. The hotel does have a large population of ducks, however, the staff does a great job to ensure they are not pestering the guests too much, just watch your french fries. Horseshoe bay is the next beach over from the Fairmont's reserved beach. Even off season, all but the burger bar were available. Ocean Club has excellent seafood, small portions and great views. Waterlot's steak was incredible and fantastic ambiance. Jasmine's has great drinks, large variety of food items, and everything is very tasty. Mediterra , same thing. There is a small store downstairs that sells little snacks and drinks until 10PM if you don't want to pay $12 for a kit kat at the mini-bar. Overall, highly recommend, even "off season"!
