I have been taking two MBs to South Bay for over ten years. I have all the work done there and am completely satisfied and both cars are running like new. I use John Steech as my Service adviser and appreciate his knowledge and counsel, not to mention the free loaners. When an intermittent problem arose with the fiber optic system in my S500, they stayed on the job until they found an illusive intermittent cable, spending many more hours than they charged.
Yes, they charge more than some independents, but my investment has paid off. And the coffee is pretty good as well.
As for the sales team...well, that is a one time experience, but the service relationship goes on for along time. I don't even know from which sales person I bought my cars. In fact, one was delivered in Germany.
I check my total costs over the life of both cars and the service costs may seem high at the cashier's desk, but when it is compared to the tax, license, insurance, depreciation and GAS, it's perhaps the only bargain.
