Corn and clam chowder is still amazing. I miss living around the corner from here
Corn and clam chowder is still amazing. I miss living around the corner from here
The best soup take out in town! The chicken soup is always a winner. Our new obsession is the Mulligatawny a new slightly spicy indian-like lentil soup.
Came for a late lunch and was utterly disappointed. Sandwich was soggy and not made to order. Ordered the lobster soup and there was maybe 2 pieces of lobster. Salad tasted like chemicals. It gets two stars because the soup was flavorful and the staff was kind and understanding. Wouldn t come back. For the quality everything is overpriced, spend your dollar elsewhere.
When I get to Boston, it's my favorite place to eat. Quality is always high, and I have never yet been disappointed. GO!
Delicious food. Fresh ingredients. Can't go wrong on either the soup Or rotisserie sides
This place is known for their soups and there's a reason for that. I recommend the chicken noodle soup with matzo, it's phenomenal. They also have rotisserie chicken on the opposite end of the store. We took a whole chicken home for dinner a few weekends ago when my brother-in-law was in town and I've not had a better chicken anywhere.
Good stuff.....but they NEVER EVER have broccoli and cheddar all the time like they should. They actually rarely have it.
Seating is very scarce and cramped but the soup makes up for it. There's a reason this place is so busy.
We had the most fresh, fabulous, whole healthy holiday meal catered by NESF. Absolutely wonderful. Everything, I mean everything heated up perfectly. Things that needed to be firm were, things that needed to be tender were. My vegetarians were over the moon. This is not regular food, this is home cooked with love food. Thanks to the NESF family and staff.
The best in comfort food. The owner/chef clearly uses love as the number one ingredient.
Hands down one of the best places to get your lunch in that area. Then you England Soup company features arrays of fresh made soup sandwiches and pastas. Everything is fresh and daily prepared the prices are competitive and affordable, the atmosphere is always very nice and you always feel comfortable and welcomed.
The soup of the day which rotate is usually a very good choice the clam chowders are very good choices and honestly you cannot go wrong with anything on the menu.
Did the soup recipe change? Maybe it was an off batch during the holidays....
Always great choices of which my favorites are African Chicken and Peanut, Thai Butternut Squash and the Mulligaatawny soups.
Best place for soup and sandwiches and far and away the best rotisserie chicken.
Homemade delicious mac and cheese and great spaghetti sauce.
Chicken soup is better than mine or my mother's.
Not too bad, for a quick bite, even though it s a little pricey. Food was full of flavor and appears to support local farmers/businesses. If you re traveling for work like I am, please note they don t accept American Express.
I used to love this place, but now I would say it s ok. The food is consistent, the service good, but the flavors are just ok.
I meet with friends this place from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to grab a bite. I visit this place routinely. The meals are excellent, the team is courteous and the rates are good. I like meeting in this restaurant for a rich supper.
Hit the spot! Fast service, really efficient and healthy options They have desserts too!!
I've fallen in love with so many of their soups I tracked down and bought their cookbook (not a common occurance; I own exactly two cookbooks now)! Establishments that offer so many unique vegetarian options (even taking several other dietary restrictions into account) as well as things my carnivorous friends can enjoy are rare, wonderful finds. New England Soup Factory is high on my list of those finds.
Soups, Are DELISH..HAVENT BEEN INA WHILE ..hoping delivery options, come into play,SOON?
South end,BACK Bay -WOULD APPRECIATE
I m so glad its in service again .. Door Dash Delivery?
Amazing
Glad I checked
Our favorite place to get soup. Usually at least one menu coded vegan/vegetarian option, often a few. The flavors are rich & bold, often too oily, sometimes too sweet or a bit too salty, but maybe that's what many people prefer. Absolutely love the spicy soups and cold summer soups (and I often dislike cold soups, but here they do them right).
Some favorites are watermelon gazpacho, tomato-peach, butternut squash & chickpeas (super spicy with shredded coconut), and hearty winter soups.
All soup is served with fresh rolls, white or multigrain. I have heard many customers inquire about gluten-free bread, but they do not have any. There are also sides like pasta salads, sandwiches, & giant dill pickles. Decent drink selection. And you can choose from the cooler of other quarts of soup ready to take home and heat up.
New England Soup Factory is not open on Sundays anymore sadly... used to be our go-to stop for food to bring to the beach. Even closing a few weekdays instead would have been better for us!
Ample seating inside because it is not used a lot. The parking lot can get packed. Soup prices are a bit steep, but you get a lot. I really wish there was a daily social media post with an accurate soup menu.
The best soups you can find in the state of Massachusetts
I love this place. Soups are so organic and delicious. Lots of yummy things on the menu.
The restaurant is always clean and well kept. The service was amazing. The location is fantastic. 5 stars.
Damn good soup in a place that looks like a informal deli. Good food good price
Can t go wrong with anything from this place. The soups are all delicious and the rolls just enhance the whole thing! The service is always quick and friendly, so if there is a line know that it moves quick.
Found this place on the maps and was extremely satisfied. My husband just had oral surgery and only able to eat soft, soup. The manager or owner was very kind let him taste a few different options and warmed up the bread so it was soft. I had the chicken salad sandwich which was good. I didn t see the rotisserie side until after I ordered but will definitely check it out next time, everything looked delicious. The plus side is it was affordable a pint of soup, the sandwich and a water was only 12$. Great place
Service was great, but food was lacking. I got a chicken Caesar salad, and two chocolate chip cookies. Chicken had ZERO flavor and sliced way too thin to be filling, cookies were not good and one had a sticker on it to sell by 7/17...Today is the 19th. I wont be back.
I went here for the first time the owner is racist but tries to hid it.The soup was good my sandwhich was trash no meat all lettuce what a waste.
Great options that always change. Delicious rolls that come with the soup!
Absolutely killer. Lobster Newburg and Clam Chowder are amazing. Considering going back and stocking up.
Great, fresh soup day in and day out. The staple soups are always there and new ones rotate with the days and seasons. So good!!
Staff very friendly. Good was delicious. Loved it...first time there...will not be my last
The best soup and food around. A family owned restaurant that has been in business since 1995. Everything is fresh and made from scratch. Do yourself a favor and stop by, you will not be disappointed.
Great variety of soups, staff is always friendly and professional.
Great soup. Great Sandwiches. They even have a recipe book.
I was craving some New England clam chowder and this spot was along the way of our travel. For what it is, the place is fair. The space is shared with the neighboring Rotisserie Chicken shop, thus the dining area became quickly packed when we arrived Saturday noontime. Despite their name, they serve up more than just soups-- sandwiches, salads, snacks, you name it.
We ordered the Beef Stew, Lobster Newbury, and New England Clam and Corn Chowder soups. Each bowl of soup came with either a multigrain or french roll. Expectations of the soups were high seeing how busy it was and the fact that we were in the state of great seafood! Unfortunately, neither the lobster nor clam chowder blew me away. The lobster one tasted like a mellow tomato soup and the clam chowder, though much better than the former, was average. On the other hand, my partner really enjoyed his Beef Stew which looked super hearty, lots of beef chunks, carrots, and mushrooms. For the portions they served, it was reasonably priced.
Great place for soup and rotisserie chicken. Kind of like Boston Market, only it's independently owned and the food is healthier and higher quality.
Best soup I've ever had, and the tuna salad was amazing!!!!
Truly delicious soups made with love. Seinfeld was wrong, soup is a meal here! They have sandwiches and roasted chicken with lots of side dish choices. Wish there were more locations and one in Boston itself. Please open one (or more) in Back Bay, South End, Cambridge...
The food very delicious. I will definitely go back.
Great food but limited seating and only one bathroom
Had a delicious and hearty meal here on a chilly day. I can tell that the owner(s) put their heart & soul into this business. Sad that the Brookline location is closed now, but I'll get my fill at this one when I'm out in Newton.
very nice beef stew, too bad it's only served during winter, nice hamlet sandwich
Delicious soups. Wonderful fresh food. Fast service in a nice casual atmosphere.
'll be back!
Cold salty sandwiches, which they refuse to grill or toast in the interest of selling as many as possible in the shortest amount of time.
Excellent soup. I love that they have a bunch of soups that are on the regular menu and then different daily soups, that you can taste test before you buy. I have had nothing but great experiences there. Staff are super friendly and food is delish!
We were disappointed with their Chicken Noodle soup. Should be a staple that they nail. We like the soup at Barry's Deli better.
Not a lot of vegetarian or vegan options. Sandwich was really dry.
Lots of soup choices. The matzo balls are huge so if you add one to your soup, it is very filling. It is a good place for a quick bite.
Excellent soup choices and like to eat outside on a warm summer day. Staff is knowledgeable and responsive.
To be fair, I've never been to this restaurant, but I did purchase their ebook. Every single recipe that I have made from that book has been fantastic! The Indonesian Carrot Soup soup is one of our very favorites. The Potato Crab Gorgonzola is also spectacular! Potato and Roasted Leek, Seafood Gazpacho, the list goes on and on. If this is what they are serving at that restaurant, I want to go to there!
the best soup and chowder in MA! a staple in my family, especially during the cold winter months.
Best soup best sandwiches and salads, clean n well priced!!
The place is nicely designed and well lit. The food is good and fairly priced, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
But... there's only one bathroom for everyone (men and women, staff and customers), they don't know the WiFi password, and the background music is quite annoying (loud, upbeat jazz). Overall okay for a short visit to enjoy good soup, not so pleasant for a longer visit.
Soup is OK. Used to be outstanding, but doesn't keep up the great flavors it used to have.
I work a block away from this place and my coworkers told me about how good the food is so I decided to give it a try. I really liked it and I am a returning customer about once a week or more. The owner is always very friendly and energetic but the rest of the staff is the complete opposite. They are usually pretty friendly when she is around but today I had a horrible experience with one of them. As I went to order the owner said hello and walked over to the soup side and the employee's attitude towards me completely shifted once she walked away. Part of the service they offer with your order is they will take the bones out of the chicken for you so its easier for you to eat. When I ordered my chicken and 2 sides and asked for them to debone the chicken the employee said he was going to start charging me extra to do that from now on. The way he said it was kind of aggressive but I said ok because for a $1 or $2 extra I would understand since its a convenience. He started complaining about his job and that being one of his duties and right then I almost just walked out and said I'm all set without buying and not returning. As I write this after I ate I really wish I did just walk out then. The food is good here and the prices aren't too high for the area and quality but I give them a low rating because of the unfriendly staff. After seeing other reviews on here, I think the owners/management should respond to some of these reviews and try to win back some customers and save their business because even though I work a minutes walk away and I enjoy the food, today really turned me off and I won't be returning anytime soon.
Homemade soups. Pricey but I love the corn and clam chowder. The lobster bisque is nothing to brag about though.
Great service... Best soup in town! My young daughter and I love the chx noodle on cold New England evenings.
The service was phenomenal hair there is a female and a male that works there the female I don't recall her name but she had Phantom Gourmet type service like she could have had it Phantom Gourmet job she did a really good job telling me about the different chicken and the sides offered at the rotisserie place this is a really great place to go.
I've been going here about 20 years and I've never been disappointed!
I had the chicken pot pie. It was very good. Would have liked to have more crust, otherwise it was hearty, rustic cut vegetables, seasoned very well.
Alright, I been here once and I normally don't make a review unless their really good at what they do . New England Soup Factory got me !! they have the best soups and sandwiches I ever had !!Worth a try!!! Check them out.
I saw the article in the news about the upset customer who had enough and threw the soup sample. While as a former food service worker I am sorry to hear this, I am also not shocked. While the ownership is probably publicizing this for sympathy and milking free publicity, they also failed to mention that their soup samples are less than a thimble size (literally). When that sample got tossed, I am sure that most of the sample disappeared in the air before it ever hit anything. The ownership sends a constant message of cheapness (acknowledged by their own help) and I get it that this customer was fed up with the nonsense. I had patronized this place for years, stopped going there and everyone talks about the cheapness and how they have stopped going here as well. Any business that actually posts a sign stating "do not ask for a sample" sends a definitive message that they do not care about the customer and they never have. I believe they had 3 locations at one time and this must be part of the reason that their other locations have already closed.
Impossible to beat their soup, and theirs plenty of variety in the plaza if someone in your group has an aversion to deliciousness.
Try it. You'll love it. I am coming back tomorrow.
Wife and stepdaughter are here. Didn't hear any complaints.
Been going for years; delicious soup, mutt chicken salad my fav! & Ppl that work there are top notch!
Excellent clam and corn chowder. Perfect for a fall day.
