Saw Ru Paul's Werq the World Tour here Refreshments were overpriced..bathrooms are clean but there aren't enough stalls for a big event...and aisles are so narrow, you have to stand to let people in and out of your row.
But the location is very convenient (5 minute walk from Union station)

Nice looking venue but the seating has the be one of the worst o have ever been in. There is NO leg room unless you have an aisle seat. For kids its great, for an adult (and I'm only 5'6') it's tough for a 2 hour performance.

Sony Centre is conveniently located walking distance from the Union station in Toronto. There is plenty of paid parking within a block, and after hours 6pm onwards is normally 6 to 8 an hr. If you are attending an event here keep 30mins buffer for parking and walking to the venue. I was surprised by the lineup, we were there to attend wiggles concert and the lineup extended to outside Sony Centre. Which means for a popular event you can expect to be in a lineup to get in briefly about 10 to 15 mins. That may be tough for some in winter. Overall seating is great no issues, there were staff there to help easily find our seats, there are washrooms and wheelchair accessible seating available here.

Despite changing its name every few years, what is now the Meridian Hall (formerly the Sony Centre) is one of Toronto's finest performances venues. Some of the best acts in the world stop here to play. I was lucky enough to see Prince play here one month before he died. If you get the chance, don't hesitate to see your favourite act at this incredible place.

Brought my sons and a friend of my son for his birthday celebration to hear distant worlds;music from final fantasy. Great concert. Not great seats for above average sized people. Very uncomfortable for all of us. I make giant sons...and I'm 5'10 myself.
Lovely venue. Bottle of water is $3.00 or a cup of tea/coffee for $4.00.

Acoustics are great and venue is small enough that there isn't really any bad views as far as seating. But there are seats that are so small that they make the TTC look like they have first class seating. I know they want to cram as many ppl as possible in, but come on

Great acoustics. Uncomfortable seats for the (very) tall (I am 6ft 5in), with the cup holders digging into my shins. Luckily no one was sitting beside me on one one side and I was able to widen my legs a bit, otherwise I wouldn't have had any clearance from my knees to the seat back in front of me.

I've only been there once for a recent Massive Attack concert. The audio quality was actually decent and the concert experience overall was great. Not a lot of leg room when you're seated, however, and the sections could be labeled better.

You can see stage from any seat. But seats have no leg room and not too wide, particularly balcony seating. There is larger area lower lvl at the back where one can stand and see show, I believe it is the wheel chair access portion.

What a lovely venue! Brought our kids for a family show and was seated up in the balcony but it was PERFECT! not a bad seat in the house. Parking was easy... found a lot down the street. There were lots of options for snacks and drinks. Washrooms are clean and staff were friendly. I would definitely go back to this venue.

Great venue for comedy. The bathroom facilities are terrible for such a large venue. The men's washroom is equipped with only 2 of the world's slowest hand dryers. Staff seemed to be fairly disorganized. They wouldn't let anyone in the front and had everyone line up at the side entrance, then after about 20 minutes said Nevermind everyone go to the front. It was chaotic and poorly...or clearly not planned. The selection of drinks and snacks is terrible, essentially canned or bottled drinks and 3 choices of chips and a few candy choices.

Gorgeous venue with great acoustics. I don't usually enjoy big venues since it's hard to see the artist and the audio gets lost in the room, but this venue is different. Most of the seating is optimal, and you'll never struggle to hear your favorite instrument again. I was near the back of the orchestra and still thought it was perfect.
Drinks are pricey, and the seats are a little tight. Don't bring a lot of stuff with you because there's no real place to put it in the theatre fortunately they had bag/coat check for us.

Nice enough theatre but seats are a little cramped due to the cup users on the back of the seats. Concession stands can be a little chaotic at intermission due to location and annoying there is no bathroom on main floor.

Good venue. Saw Jerry Seinfeld and Aziz Ansari perform here a few years back (not on the same night). Great venue for comedy shows. The seats on the ground floor offer good views of the stage. Lots of parking around the area but it is expensive. Tickets were decently priced but a little high.

Mid-century-modern designed, clean facility for all sorts of shows; I have visited for comedy and musicals. Seats are easy to find, and the gradual incline makes any seat one with a good view.
If you've selected the Will Call/Pick Up option for tickets purchased, you'll want to head over to the St. Lawrence Centre for the Arts. I didn't know this when I was ready to pick up before Christmas as it wasn't indicated on the website, but a passerby noticed my confusion and mentioned it to me- thankful he did!
Other than that slight hiccup, overall a great experience at the Meridian Hall, aka the Sony Centre, aka the Hummingbird Theatre, aka the O'Keefe Centre.

Top notch venue. Great sound and excellent view to the stage. Even my fiance who usually struggles at 5 foot 6 had a good view and we sat all the way at the back. Make sure you catch a good show there. Kacey Musgraves is one of the best shows I've seen in over 30 years.

Great For Live Music, sound quality is amazing. Close quarter concerts & bands sound great in here! Refreshments are ridiculously priced for a venue of this caliber as the quality of offerings do not match the exorbitant price tags.

The Sony Centre is an excellent facility that has great seating that pretty much allows every person in the hall to have a great view. Everyone also has comfortable seats and a cup holder. There is a snacks section where you can buy overpriced beverages. No hot beverages are served here however. The good thing is that they have a water fountain hidden away on the side, so you can bring an empty water bottle and fill it there instead of paying ridiculous money for water.

We went to a concert, and they had said that the doors open at 7pm. However doors didn't open until closer to 8. So the line up was quite extensive once they allowed people in. The delay was annoying especially since they advertised otherwise.

Fantastic sound and a good inclined view from most areas. Drinks prices are 333% markup, well beyond what's even attempted by like venues. While your show WILL be great, if you want libation, head up the street for either the Flatiron or one of the many bars on the north side of Front at Jarvis about two blocks East.

First time to attend a performance at this venue. It won't be the last. It's beautiful inside and there's not a bad seat. The leg room is better than I expected, and the seats are comfortable. I normally rank seats/chairs on a number system. A 10 chair is comfortable for about 10 minutes...a 60 chair is good for an hour. This was a 2 1/2 hour concert (with a 15 minute intermission) and I never got uncomfortable. Oh, and the sound is amazing inside!!

It was grand event. Famous guru visited Toronto. In order to enter people spent at least 15 minutes. Somehow the simple act of scanning tickets was too complicated.. But that you face at other venues too. But leg room or more precisely it's absolute absence was the killer. I am 6'2" not giant. I spent 2 hours trying to find legs position not hurting my knees tightly pressed into next row and wriggling to restart blood circulation from awkward position.
