A great hotel but not the best but a great stay. 4...
A great hotel but not the best but a great stay. 4 stars for it's fantastic location to Terminal 5 and a free upgrade to their suite

Best shower I had in all of Europe. Really great to stay especially when leaving from Terminal 5
A total stars service from Sphere bar . A great start of earliest weekend of the festive month. Totally great friday.
Professional, clean rooms with good staffing for help. Food was brilliant
Great place to stay before heading off abroad. Food excellent and friendly services. Holidays start hear.
It's expensive very well presented in a superb location, everything was of a good quality but sterile. We stayed because its very convenient for the airport as a short walk but if we had had a later flight in the day we would of saved the money. Can't fault what it offers but nit special
Stayed a few times now based on very early flights meaning setting off from home (West Midlands) would be onerous. Very clean, modern hotel with good facilities. A little soulless perhaps but then aren t all modern hotels? Never here long enough to use all the facilities but all seem well subscribed. A real bonus is having a BA check in and bag drop located adjacent to reception. A most welcome feature if you are travelling with heavy and cumbersome luggage. I chose to stay and park and over a few days this works out very good value for money. Underground car park is covered, secure and well lit with easy access to the hotel. T5 departures is a 4 minute, undercover walk/one lift ride away.
Spa was very good, however I didn't get a rotten orange.... Not impress
There is a reason this hotel is a 5 star hotel! They welcome you as soon as you walk in through the door. The rooms are quiet (I can't hear the planes landing or taking off) and luxurious. I am impressed!
Great hotel if taking early flight from term 5. 5 min walk from airport arrivals. Spacious rooms, nice bar and restaurant
Absolutely not worth the money regardless of proximity to airport. Lacking in basics, rooms overlooking interior, eye watering prices for food and drinks, customer service poor.
This hotel is great for an overnight stay before flying out. Rooms are comfortable, with nicely spec'd bathrooms and TV/audio equipment. Bar prices are a tad high but not too bad when compared to other hotel or central London prices. We ate at the vive restaurant and the food was good value for money.
Hotel is a modest notch above most airport hotels. Clean, modern and relatively convenient to Terminal 5. Signage to get there needs an upgrade. Like most things at Heathrow, a lot of walking is involved. Bathroom fixtures and lighting systems are incredibly confusing to use. Restaurant has a simple menu of standard American fare (burgers, pizza, etc.) not bad, but nothing special. If you need a decent place to sleep, this place fits the description!
An extremely nice Hotel, with great conference suites...
Greta Hotel. Very convenient if you are flying early in the morning. Amazing staff, they solve everything before you even ask.
I stayed here for one night at their 'Superior Room' , which was a free upgrade. It was really large, and had a huge and comfortable bed. The hotel itself was quite big with lots of restaurants inside. Very easy to get to from Terminal 5. Everything was super clean and comfortable.
One thing I noticed - the ceiling in the bathroom had paint coming off in some places which is not something that I would expect at a luxury hotel. The carpets in the room looked a little tired (not too noticeable).
There was a small mirror with lights which wasn't working.
Other than this, everything else was just great!
High quality hotel with convenient location connected to Heathrow. Great business facilities. Breakfast is the best British breakfast I have had anywhere and the staff are all excellent.
Parking included in hotel price for a very reasonably price. Exceptional customer service and large, clean rooms with all amenities. The bar also provided good food and drink.
Sofitel is sophisticated, clean and convenient. It's location in the Heathrow airport makes it very accessible but be forewarned this will be at a price. Convenience and cleanliness come with a price and that's certainly the case here. That said, it's worth it if you need a good night sleep in an accessible location.
This is an over-priced hotel that is unworthy of the Sofitel brand. It lacks a heart and soul. It is an architectural disaster, more like an office block than a hotel. It has no atmosphere but the staff do their best to put on a brave face. I presume they are underpaid (like many Sofitel Hotel employees). I felt as though I had checked in to hospital for an operation but then I realised it is the hotel that is terminally ill. Such a disappointment and so expensive. Next time I will try the Hilton (Terminal 4).
The room was lovely and had all the facilities plus more. The bathroom had a beautiful shower and a bath tub, so the best of both! The staff were very friendly and helpful, I will most definitely be staying here again.
Thi matress in my room , in both beds has ben be worst e ever seen ,it was so soggy that we could not sleep,
I even took pictures of the matress to send to them as a way of letting the administration know that you do not treat a client that way
Relaxing atmosphere and excellent customer service.
Great to have a nice hotel by the airport which was ideal for my early departure in the morning.
excellent service, i stayed over the night before a flight with some pals. hotel staff are very helpful. we found ourselves at the bar which was great being sold drinks by the very own Jesus. the hotel has a very nice atmosphere. my first time staying in a sofitel and i would very much do again. perfect service, excellent staff very helpful and informative.
After arriving in terminal 3 from LAX, exhausted and with 2 children. We jumped in a taxi and we were unable to get through the car barrier to access the hotel. Eventually the driver took us to terminal 5. The fare was doubled and I was left with 4 pieces of heavy luggage, a vomiting child and her sister. We got to the reception of the hotel and myself very frazzled and exhausted. We checked in with Emaline ( spelling not sure ) I was annoyed and told her about the previous 45 mins and she couldn't have been more helpful and understanding and she got the duty manager and straight away doubled the taxi fare in hotel credit, and upgraded us to an excellent room. The manager of the restaurant also waived the check as the restaurant wasn't informed of the credit I had and had billed us and I didn't complain just thought I would sort it out at check out but he was upset that they were left unaware. So the nightmare in the beginning trying to access the hotel was totally redeemed by the wonderful Sofitel lhr staff that were outstanding with customer service and making you feel welcomed and taken care of. I will most definitely return. Thank you so much.

A little touch of luxury before the ordeal of the flight the next morning. With our junior sweer came access to the Millesimile club. Whilst not full blown dinner breakfast, it was certainly a nice bonus and the complimemtary drinks were very welcome. The room is very good and very well appointed with plenty of room. My only niggle is the having to go up and down floors all the time. The Architect looks to have worked on airports in the past, requiring you to go down to the ground floor and then along the ground floor to another elevator and back up to acess the terminal. Not a big deal, but a PITA for what is worth. Im sure the majority of people won't even notice.
Nice accommodations and customer service. Ideal for a convenient place to stay overnight when you don't want to deal with transport away from Heathrow.
Good stay for business. Don't have to leave the airport
Very well placed for Terminal 5 and good parking. Clean and well maintained room, comfortable and spacious.
Only regret was we could not eat in Vivre restaurant because of a cancelled Quatari plane meant 160 people were due to eat before us. Bar snack adequate, but lacking the restaurant we have enjoyed before a big disappointment
I enjoy the room, the quiet and the convenience. This is my preferred hotel in London for an overnight stop when transiting through between the US and UK or mainland Europe
Room and Bathroom are good generally
There are not enough power connections in either the bed room or the public rooms. There needs to be power connectors for phones, iPads, etc next to the bed. And they need to be a plug sized we can all use not one designed to stop us from using them
OK, but can be very expensive, and the rooms feel like they are a bit 'early 2000s'. Could do with a bit of updating.
We were delighted that we could step off the plane and walk into the hotel without having to go into the open air, especially as it was raining!
check-in was early and easy, the La Grande Epoque lunch was Manifique, and staff helped us with a refund for our unused breakfast vouchers (despite hotel policy).
So, all the details were superb, we've stayed here before and will again, next time we're in London.
Stayed there one night upon an evening arrival to London from the US. Best feature is convenience to LHR T5, but overall the hotel experience was great - nice clean room, good services, fast check-in and check-out, and very helpful and friendly staff when we needed to re-access the room we'd already checked out of to retrieve my son's forgotten jacket. I would recommend the hotel to anyone staying at or near T5. The only minor improvement I would suggest is making sure to give multiple keys to multiple guests, because my son and I shared a room and when I went down to the lobby to check on the restaurant while he stayed in the room, I could not get back as the lifts to the rooms are key protected and he needed the key in the room to keep the lights on. Super minor nit, and next time I'll remember to ask for two keys, but since key protected lifts are not a common feature it would probably be good to just default to providing at least two keys when multiple guests share the room.
this review applies for spa only. I'm a new mom and I find it very difficult to relax or to have a time for myself, so I was more than happy when my boyfriend booked me a treatment in Sofitel Spa, he even took a half day off to look after our daughter while I was getting my treatment. I arrived to hotel on exact time of the booking, however I was collected by a therapist after 35min of waiting.. that upset me a little bit because my time was limited and I could not spend there whole day! girl who was providing the service was nice, massage was ok but surly didn't take 55min like it said on the booking, but much less than this.. also I hadn't got a glass of prosecco and strawberries which were a part of the "spa experience", when I asked about it, I've been told that it will arrive soon however after 45min of waiting I decided to go home, because I was running out of time, how long takes to pour a glass of prosecco and chuck 8 strawberries on the plate?? I don't recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a quick escape, I assume there are better place to spend a hundred pounds on!! is just not worth the money
Fantastic hotel and staff. Greeted by 3 friendly staff on reception and had a surprise room upgrade for our anniversary and offered a couple of free drinks upon arrival. Hotel room was extremely clean and comfortable. Would recommend to anyone.
Very good location if you transit London. There is direct connection to the Heathrow terminal 5, about 5 minutes walking. The room have everything you need, except the followings: cleanliness, pen and paper, sockets nearby the bed, toiletries. The bathroom ventilation was out of order.
Hand sanitizer can be found on every hotel entrance, lobby and public places.
Other than a chaotic check-in, which could have been better managed, everything was excellent.
Hotel outstanding can't ask for better good start to the holiday
The restaurants and bars were very nice and good food and service. Beds are very cushiony and soft, as opposed to firm though.
Sustained excellent customer service and attention to detail.
Standards are very good, room is excellent with nice bathroom with walk in shower. Service is prompt and friendly, very comfortable beds. Food quality is high and a stay here - this is my third - is always a pleasant experience. I have stayed many times in Sofitel hotels. Two complaints: charged a car parking fee when I left the hire car in car park for a few minutes while I checked in and my daughter and I were told to use the bar for food at the restaurant because it was busy! Otherwise I will be back.
Great hotel with service worthy of the big hotel. Professional staff and really available. Very affordable price for a place of this quality. I highly recommend!
Nice and new hotel. You would not notice that you are actually next to the runway.
Airport hotels are always busy and you should not expect a holiday-style hotel.
Comparing it with all other airport hotels at LHR, you should go for the Sofitel.
Impressive Hotel. Was there to see my daughter. It's a large hotel with polite staff. I found it difficult to find the lifts and rooms though due to poor signage facilities
Stayed Saturday night before an early Sunday morning Flight. Excellent hotel. Very quiet. Easy walk through to check-in next morning.
This is a good quality hotel with excellent and quiet rooms. The staff were, as always, very helpful - particular mention for Pomy on reception
Good services, but disappointed at lack of hairdryer in the room. Cafe in the morning was good but breakfast is overpriced compared to places outside Heathrow! Check in could be smoother but lovely place!
Service could not have been better. Absolutely made my stay in England finish on a grand note.
This is a good hotel. It's main selling point is location given that it is in Heathrow airport. It is just a short walk from the terminal 5 building but I didn't notice any signs for it in the terminal. If you are lost go to the northern most set of lifts/elevators and go to floor 1 for the link. The rooms are as you would expect for a Sofitel. There is a bar that does bar food and also a restaurant. Staff are friendly and helpful.
Great hotel service fantastic. Excellent for travelling from London Heathrow Terminal 5.
Good size rooms, clean comfortable place for business trips or before flights, down sides are expensive parking, no natural light in some rooms
This is not the best Sofitel we've stayed in. The rooms are of decent size but coul use updating along with the bar and restaurant. Formica table tops in restaurant with no place settings make it feel cheap and old. Food was delish, wine service was a bottle dropped off and had to ask three times for ice for our water.
Hotel is located at terminal 5. Easy walk from Tube, go to arrivals and follow the signs.
Overall it was what I'd expect from a hotel airport, would recommend for a layover.
This is the way to travel. Off the plane, check into the Sofitel Heathrow, a little dinner, drinks.. off to bed. Up in the morning for a five minute commute to the next flight. Oh, and the room and bed were completely cozy and comfortable. Thanks.
Very average. The only redeemings points are the lovely staff and the location to Terminal 5. No way is this a 5 * hotel, totally misleading!!!
I stayed here overnight in order to catch an early flight the next morning. The location is second to none - you can get to terminal 5 without even stepping foot outdoors (there's about a 5 minute walk through corridors and above-road More
Nice room. Completely quiet and peaceful - amazing considering the location. Just one issue: there were no powerpoints near the bed. In this day and age we all want to plug in a phone by the bedside and there were no sockets that side of the room (well some funny round pin ones, presumably for lights).
Also the TV appeared to have apps on it (eg for 'catch up') but that function didn't work. The free WiFi was insufficient to watch catch up TV on my laptop (or it was blocked, not sure which).
So it all seemed a bit old fashioned.
Sofitel hotel was very nice. The bed was very comfortable and the service provided was impeccable. Would highly recommend and visit again due to the close distance from terminal 5.
Good option if you have to spend the night with little time and fly again. You don't need transportation and you can walk from the terminal. For the rest what you can find in any 4 stars. Of course, this at British prices ... quite expensive.
We upgraded to the executive lounge and room. The staff especially in such a large hotel especially the reception and house keeping in arranging a special treat for us
Couldn't even get a meal. Room service wouldn't even call me back. Shall never return.
Really nice service. Clean very comfortable twin room.
Attentive staff beyond normal; noticed one of us has walking stick so moved us to the nearest available twin room. Thank you.
A great start to our honeymoon! Fantastic service from all staff a free room upgrade and you made it all look so special!
Great modern hotel. Large underground parking. Front desk service polite and efficient. Room was large & clean, bed was enormous. Bathroom was clean and shower very big. If booked for the right price this is a good convienent hotel for terminal 5.
You will love staying at this hotel big spacious rooms and great food and service
Stayed 1 night left car for 14 nights first class service will defiantly return.
After a flight from New Zealand this was the perfect place to stay during an 8hour layover. Unfortunately the room service breakfast was stone cold and thus compmetely unacceptable.
Very grateful for allowing me to check in early at 0800 to get much needed rest. However, I was checking out before 0600 the following day to catch a flight, mean missing breakfast. It would have been nice if I was allowed to take breakfast after checking in and before resting...
