Service is very good Receptionist Various restaurant staff Activity Staff Most everyone, the service is excellent. The rooms are good, eye-standard. The big pool has toys. There are many activities to do. Stay but the school is not bored The beach in front of the school is beautiful, peaceful, clean. The sunset view is good. But the beach is not suitable for swimming because of the rocks. I can't remember the name of the Thai restaurant Bua. Serve Southern food with rich, authentic Southern flavors, not western flavors. Very delicious, especially Kanom Jeen with Crab Curry sauce Sour Soup with Shrimp and Coconut Shoot Bai Lieng Stir-fried with Egg Chili-bone curry is very delicious, it is reconfirmed by Southern children, being a member of accore, it's 50% discount, but each room's menu looks a little less to choose from. There are restaurants and bars by the sea, a short walk from the school and there are 7 nearby as well. That is, come to stay, you don't have to rent a car if you can't go anywhere. Or going to go to the island, buy a tour of the school is also available. A little downside, some breakfast knots are not tasty and not much variety.

One of the best resorts I have stayed. Swimming pool is the best part' and watching a movie while in the pool was a unique experience. Rooms are large and good in every aspect. Views may not be great as far as sea is concerned. Italian dinner was very good.
My wife and I have made this our annual retreat destination. The pool is massive and features an adults only corner so that you can relax in peace, while the other end features water games and activities for kids and families. The gym is well maintained and overlooks the children's play area which features activities to keep the really young ones busy. The staff are friendly and attentive, and really take pride in their hospitality. The rooms are clean and well-kept, though some universal power sockets would be a welcome addition. The spa is a must visit and offers packages that range from simple 45 min massages to hours long treatment for couples. Finally, the highlight of the hotel for me is the breakfast, which is sprawling in variety and flavors. We've skipped lunch a few times thanks to the spread of the breakfast alone. We look forward to visiting again next year!
Very very good. Buffet and restaurants recommended. Very basic surrounding area. Very walkable and quiet beach. Very comfortable bed. Cleanliness 10. Attention 10. Pool gardens 10
This is a wonderful resort. We stayed 5 nights just after Christmas and enjoyed the pool and other facilities. The staff is top notch, very professional and always willing to go the extra mile.
The pool is huge(sadly only with a few spots of shade) and the beach just across the road(that is guarded by hotel staff, ensuring your safe crossing)
We loved the room with direct garden access as it allowed to quickly cross over to the pool or reach the Maya restaurant quickly.
The lounge staff is wonderful and always on the look on how to be of support.
In case you'd like to grap some stuff from a convenience store, that is an easy 5-7 minutes walk along the beach to the south. You can find other resorts or restaurants at the beach the same direction.
It's always a pleasure to stay at a place that understands hospitality truly well!
Beautiful stay in this luxury resort, with great facilities and amazing Staff. The swimming pool is vast and great pool bar service from the staff including Nas.
A little away from the main resort of Au Nang, however a very good courtesy bus service ran frequently throughout the day and evening.
Staff in the hotel were super efficient and very friendly, especially in the Club lounge INGE and her team were superb.
Used the Hotel speedboat to visit Hong Island which was very scenic and enjoyable trip.
I highly recommend for a breathtaking experience everyone is so wonderful, a staff always smiling and attentive, a French team really present and friendly, a very beautiful and maintained place. All this in a calm and relaxing place. In addition, the breakfasts are really excellent and also change every 2 days maximum but keeping several types of cuisine available (French, Indian, Asian, European and American) and finally the weight room and a real room for all who will practice it frequently (or who will begin) and we do not feel lacking: weight or machine and alter or bar for those who prefer unguided exercises (and I will just end up opening which is 24 hours a day which is practical to do when you want)
The Property and staff are wonderful but feel the pricing of bus from the airport is too high considering a taxi can be got for 600 THB also some of the food pricing could be reduced .
Arrival- Bags taken from taxi and loaded ready to take to our room- efficient service. Reception staff greet you with a local Thai drink and a wet towel for refreshing . You are sat down in the lobby and reception complete your check in, which is quick and easy. A guide from reception shows you around the hotel and finally to your room- helpful and a nice touch.
Bedroom- Has basic facilities- hairdryer/iron/kettle/TV Robe and slippers provided too. Comfortable space. Balcony with two seats and table.
Aircon and fan. Bedsheets smell damp- probably due to air and Aircon- not the freshest or pleasant smells . Drinking water provided.
Bathroom- L'occitaine toiletry products used throughout hotel and regularly replaced- soap/shower gel/shampoo/conditioner/lotion. Towels and hand towels provided and replaced. Comb/toothbrush/earbuds/shower cap provided .
Pool- Huge- not too deep. Plenty of sun loungers with shade . Pool baths Need more toilets located near to pool . Pool bar . Drinking water provided Close to beach . At night needs more lighting . Towels provided
Staff- Attentive Service can be slow- witnessed with housekeeping three times. English is spoken by most staff- can be broken but understandable.
Wifi- Intermittent and can be annoying .
Breakfast- Amazing- so many choices. Pancakes and waffles, pastries, cookies and muffins, fresh juices, fruit, cereal, jams and spreads, coffees and teas, eggs/beans/hash browns/mushrooms, sushi, Thai breakfast. Indoor and outdoor seating.
6.30-10.30.
Buffet .
Food/Restaurants- Expensive Taxed Two Thai Restaurants and one Indian and one Italian. Best to try outside for restaurants- more restaurants outside of hotel on beach side Seven 11 is a 5 mins walk left of the beach with snacks and essentials .
Laundry- Expensive at hotel -charged per item 40 baht per kg at the beach-2 mins walk.
Excursions- Expensive, shops along beach offer better prices and enable haggling.
Taxis- Cheaper from beach side shops.
Location- Good, 30 mins from Ao Nang beach but hotel provides free shuttle daily- have to pre-book .
Activities complimentary of hotel- Yoga Aqua Zumba Soccer Ping pong Pilates Have to pay extra for bikes/golf Could do with more entertainment in hotel as the hotel is located in a quiet area. Krabi does not offer many upscale shops and is more for relaxation
Leisure facilities-
Gym- cardio and weight equipment in good condition with screens. Free weights and machines . Water and towels provided.
Kids play area-
Steam Room and sauna but separated ladies and gentlemen.
This can be safely recommended, very good service and high standards. Huge pool, lots of activities in the hotel both indoors and outdoors. Own child care, but also the area adult department at pool area. Own restaurants belonging to the hotel. The only place in Krabi I got served really good Italian pizza. :) Otherwise, the hotel is a bit remote, not much nearby, 10 min away from Ao Nang by Taxi. The beach below was great but unfortunately only cleared below the hotel, some rubbish along it. Wi-Fi coverage in the rooms could have been better and faster. Nice place for relaxation, short distance to Hong Island.
The hotel is very good, reasonable price. Good service staff Has used the service to go snorkeling, very good service staff Bang Bin Bang Oops Nong Pat, very good service, impressive.
Luxury stay away from the crowd. This property has all amenities from restaurants to a huge pool probably the biggest in Thailand to a golf course. Everything.
My family had an absolutely fabulous time at this magnificent hotel. We were warmly received by a hotel staff at the airport with cold refreshing towels for us in a spacious van. My dad has very limited mobility and the staff was extremely attentive and kind to all his needs. The hotel entrance is absolutely grand and airy. Couches were beautiful and spacious. I especially love the huge wooden benches filled with soft comfortable pillows. While waiting for our rooms, we were treated with cold refreshing towels and drinks! Everyone was just fantastic and warm. What a great way to start our vacation! Our hotel rooms were spacious and clean. Love the glistening hard wood floor. :)
Since we had kids with us, we checked out the childcare center. Needless to say, my kids thoroughly enjoyed every single moment of their time there, sometimes i had to drag them away. The center offers ALL sorts of sports activities, arts and crafts and cooking lessons as well. Complimentary classes are offered as well. Fees were very reasonable. There were two staff members that stood out for us and they are named Sand and Khor!! They are such such beautiful lovely kind souls. I am truly speechless at the patience and time they showered upon my kids, similar to that of a doting sister. My kids took archery lesson from an instructor named Shat (sorry if i misspelled his name) who is incredibly kind and thoughtful. Shat also works in the gym room. Apparently, hes a jack of all trades, ready to swoop in and help wherever he is needed!
My elderly parents really really enjoyed the massages and dining. My 80 year old dad enjoyed chatting with the amicable and always smiling staff especially one named Kia who works in the Maya restaurant. We met her on our first day there and her warm friendly smile and impeccable services will always stay with us. Last but not least is Noo Nah from Leisure Concierge. A young beautiful lady with world class attitude in every way. She was always available and ready to assist in any and all of our needs. She even went out of her way to visit our room to ensure housekeeping had come to pick up my dad's gel pack which requires freezing for medical reasons. My parents LOVED the gigantic pool this hotel possesses. There's also a pool bar which my kids thoroughly enjoyed sipping their cold drinks from. We had dined in Maya, White Lotus and the pool restaurant and the food in all is simply divine and services world class!
We are so sad came the last day of our stay and no words can express our gratitude for the staff's warm and kind services they had rendered my family. We wish them well and hope to see them soon!!
Great services and rooms. Though for some reason we could not have good sleep in the 3 nights we stayed. Shuttle service is good for city. Swimming pool is the highlight of this place
We were in off season, and the hotel was very quiet and relaxed with excellent service. They made it easy for us to check in early and check out late. The only drawback to my taste was the food at one of the dinners.
The view of the hotel is every great, so as the breakfast. I stayed there in June, there is few people so it is very convenient. Did not rate 5 stars because the smell in the room was not good, like molded.
Very good pre-arrangement prior to arrive at hotel. Smiling faces around the place and very patient to sort through the issue (credit to Airry at the front desk). Extremely kids friendly (the only downside is the kid play ground is undergoing renovation). The White Lotus restaurant serve very good Thaifood and staff is very informative (thanks to Annie).
Great hotel, great breakfasts and pools. Lots of program for families with children. Good level of service. Located in a secluded but daily shuttle from the hotel to Ao Nang.
The check in didn't go smoothly as the receptionist kept looking puzzled that there was 4 of us in the room booked and hence tried to up-sell a larger room, this was not appreciated to say the least. Having said that this situation was rectified and an upgrade was provided. We were clear on our booking that we had 2 adults and 2 children and hence there should not have been any confusion. From then on the hotel was exceptional! The staff in the business lounge went over and beyond to make our stay wonderful. They organised gluten free food for myself since I am coeliac. Ing was particularly outstanding in her customer service as was her team. The pool is huge and warm albeit a little shaded area would be welcomed. The rest of the staff in the hotel from breakfast, pool staff, gym, etc were excellent. Other than the initial blip the stay at Sofitel Krabi was superb and I would highly recommend it. My family and I will be back! Thank you Sofitel Krabi staff for your outstanding hospitality.
Nice and soft spoken staff, room ambiance very nice, nice location. Overall very nice experience of staying in the hotel. Love to stay whenever we will visit again.
Amazing staff, they treated us like kings. The facilities are wonderful. We got a free update and majestic treats. The restaurant has great prices and great food. The golf lesson with Christian was super fun and helpful
Awesome, expensive, grand and peaceful property but quite far away from central town attractions though good thing is the hotel offers complimentary shuttle service to and from main Aonang town every two hours which is a relief. Staff is friendly and cooperative, namely a girl named Game was helpful and polite. PS I personally fell in love with the shower gel fragrance that they provide in wash rooms.
Spacious rooms, friendly service, delicious breakfast and top swimming pool! It is a little far from Ao Nang, and there are not enough restaurants around the hotel, but the resort itself is the best!
The hotel is grand, rooms are nice and the pool is superb and huge. However this is not a beach property. The beach is past a road and the beach itself is not an active beach. The location is without the view of limestone cliffs of Krabi.
I can highly recommend the Sofitel Krabi we spent a wonderful 7 nights with the beautiful staff at the resort. The breakfast was amazing what a range with fresh everything thanks to the beautiful Tukta and her team of dedicated staff. Best accommodation in Krabi by far. Robert and Jenny, Melbourne.
Great resort perfect for holiday destination with excellent INDIAN and Thai food especially for vegetarians like us. Palak paneer Dish is awesome. Giant swimming pool is very inviting. Great service overall.
TIMELESS BEACHSIDE ELEGANCE Just one minute s walk away from the golden beach, and designed to a style evoking colonial elegance Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Golf & Spa Resort has a magnificent vista of the Andaman Sea and the outlying islands. Recognised as one of Krabi s best hotels, the Sofitel enjoys a prime setting on Klong Muang Beach, near to Ao Nang, and combines Western luxury with a warm and gentle Thai ambience. The hotel has 276 rooms and suites, all with their own balcony or terrace. The 5-star property is set near tropical forest and the rooms have various views of the jungle, limestone cliffs, and the sea
Reception is friendly and efficient; rooms are spacious and comfy. The Italian restaurant can definitely improve on their food quality - Hawaiian pizza we got was of "fastfood" standard. However, housekeeping service is not great - the guy who came by could not understand English and failed to communicate to us regarding our simple request. Otherwise, there should be more entertainment options in the resort as well such as karaoke lounges/ live bands at the bar which lasts longer.
The hotel is grand, rooms are nice and the pool is superb and huge. However this is not a beach property. The beach is past a road and the beach itself is not an active beach. The location is without the view of limestone cliffs of Krabi.
It was our honeymoon during our stay and the way sofitel welcomed us is really memorable... Well planned activities .... Services were fast and hotel staff were really very polite... Swimming pool was awesome to chill out in the evening....In short it was our great experience to stay at sofitel phokeethra and we wish to visit again, we are taking the memories with us, thanks for such a great time....Thank u very much sofitel
On the way to this hotel we had a terrible accident and were admitted in the hospital for 37 days. The first night after the accident we called the hotel to postpone but they denied so we told them we wish to speak with the GM and they would not let us reach the GM. The next day they said the GM is in the meeting and will call you shortly. After several days we asked for the GM email and even that was not provided. They kept transferring our calls to different departments and finally the call would cut from their end. It was a terrible feeling. All we wanted to do was to inform the GM that we were in the hospital in a very bad condition. One employee came to see us whether we were bluffing, Mr FIN and he assured us that he will do everything he can. But they all the same. He never did or replied anything after once or twice. Never even answered any of our calls again.
We wrote to the reservation team to postpone dates as we were going to be in the hospital for quite long. Sofitel Krabi said refund or other options were not possible. This is the service they provide so keep in mind. We also called hilton our next booking and they without any hesitation refunded the whole amount also the GM was so kind to keep in touch.
Finally an email comes from the Sofitel Krabi GM after EXACT ONE MONTH. We had to reach accor hotels and inform them about Sofitel's incompetent ignorant behavior. So now the GM said in his mail that he was sorry to mail us late and things could have been better. Seriousy? After exact a month you mailing us. We were still in the hospital that time. It a SHAME to see Sofitel Krabi behaving this way specially with someone who had a terrible terrible accident.
Not only that but the reservation person Mr Than who was unprofessional person and had been very rude to us. Forget the greeting, he never asked once how were we in the hospital knowing our condition. In the end of the conversation he would simply hang up. He spoke in a very disrespectful way. Now when the GM agreed to refund, Mr Than reservation team asked for our ID with Bank Book so he could transfer money. Hear me out, we did not have the book bank with us and Mr Than said it is not possible to make the transfer unless provided. We gave him prompt pay options and a lot more but no he won't. So we somehow managed to get another account's book bank. After 17 days (we kept asking him to update us but he did not) he transferred to the account which we did not provide the book bank for. I don't understand why did they ask for the book bank when they could transfer the money easily.
Uncertainty can happen with anyone and what measures are taken by the hotel matters a lot. I say Hilton no doubt gave us the benefit of the doubt. We decided never to book Sofitel Krabin in life. This may not happen to you but it did to us. GM replies after 30 days and the refund comes in 17 working days, mind you Saturday Sunday not counted. I wasn't going to write but people need to know so that Sofitel Krabi does not behave like this with others in the future. We are back in Bangkok and stitches will be removed in a week or two. Cheers.
The staff, service and amenities (pool, fitness room, etc) were excellent. The breakfast buffet was good, nothing groundbreaking but there's a good variety and some custom items like ramen and omelettes. The beach is right across the street and was usually empty, and it's beautiful. Other beaches are within short walking distance. I deducted a star because the rooms (furnishings, finishes) and general state of the buildings are a little threadbare. The bed was like a relic from another time, very hard, squeaky and uncomfortable. I hope they find a way to update this beautiful property . Overall I would recommend with the caveat that this isn't a true four star hotel due to the worn down state.
Very nice hotel with a personal care. A breakfast 5 * to start a day. Many activities offered for kids at Kids Club. The proposed restorations are at the level. To recommend
Resort is in the best place.... Good place for couples... Complete silent place with awesome view.... Big property.... Good welcome by the team... Breakfast was very very good... 1 star less because room ac was inefficient... They came twice to rectify but engineer were unaware of the rectification process....
Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra The hotel is located in Klong Muang, about 35km from Krabi airport (KBV, UTC + 07: 00), 150km (2:15) from Phuket airport (HKT, UTC + 07: 00) and about 815km from Bangkok airport (BKK, UTC + 07: 00). Hotel chain Sofitel ***** (Accor Hotels) is one of the better hotels in the hotel business and therefore you can expect reasonable service. The resort offers 276 rooms and suites, surrounded by a tropical garden and probably the largest and most beautiful pool in the area (staff talk about the biggest continual swimming pool in whole Thailand!!! ) The hotel and its location could be called beachfront, but hotel is separated from the beach by public road (with guarded entrance). To tell the truth, I was a little disappointed from the beach - beware of breaking glass(we found!). It shouldn't happens on beach so close to luxury resort (although the beach is public). There is also a harbour for cargo ships nearby, which also does not help the impression of the beach. But directly in Klong Muang (about 1km), is nice beach, with nice bars, restaurants and beautiful sunset. Hotel check in starts at 14:00 and check out is 12:00. Rooms (studios) have about 45 m2 (54 m2 - luxury room with a view of the beach and pool) with all the amenities as required from a 5 * hotel (mini bar-paid, tea, coffee, bottled water, towels, safe, hangers, hair dryer, tv, paid internet, air conditioning, balcony ..). Suites have 72, 100,103 and 160 m2 depending on your preferences and budget. Hotel offers parking services, reception, room service, early check in and late check out for a fee, concierge, fitness, sauna, spa, paid golf, tennis .. The hotel offers 4 meeting rooms, 4 restaurants (very tasty food, adequate portions and for breakfast wide choice of meals and drinks) and 2 bars. Beach towels are available around the pool. The hotels staff was very pleasant, helpful and always smiling. From the famous beach Ao Nang the hotel is about 16km away and every day and night hours are tuk tuks ready on the road, and waiting to take you anywhere. There are many restaurants and bars, massages, shops in the town of Klong Muang. It is also worth mentioning that the hotel has an excellent location for many trips (Phi Phi Islands, Bamboo Island, Railay Beach, Poda Island, James Bond Island, Wat Tham Temple, Emerald Pools ..), but is located approximately 1km from night and day life in Klong Muang). But evening and daily walks are very pleasant and safe here. If you like a luxury resorts with adequate service, this hotel will not disappoint you.
This 5 stars hotel is beautiful and has an amazing view and big comfort rooms but unfortunately it is over priced. For what we paid here for 3 night we should expect to get much better food, much better room and higher level of maintenance of the place. The service is good and professional specially by the club lounge employees. They do everything to make you feel good and welcomed. The bath treatment they prepared in our room was super nice. Stay away from the restaurants in the resorts specially the Italian one, the food is terrible and expensive. Saying that t The Spa of the hotel is clean, big, modern and run by very kind and helpful manager. The masseurs that treat us were very good and the entire experience in the Spa was one of the best we had. The other services suffered most of the time with lack of knowledge and time inaccuracies. We paid extra for the club lounge and they let family with babies and children there making lots of nice, the quality of breakfast was poor there as well.
It is not the style of Sofitel we're used to. The hotel can use some extra painting and renovation. Food and beverage is quit expensive for the quality you're offering as we haven't got a real nice meal actually. Club Millisieme is lacking in the breakfast offering, cocktail hour is ok. Housekeeping is slow, when we left the room around noon, the room was still not cleaned when we where back after 17.00. The offerings with the all inclusive packages creates also more a 'cheaper' RIU or Club Med atmosphere and surely not the so called more exclusive magnifique style we're used from Sofitel as we've experienced with other Sofitels in Asia before.
Beautiful pool area, which is huge so we can enjoy our holiday without many interruptions, totally beautiful resorts. Great breakfast. It's quite far from Ao Nang, but there is shuttle service until quite late.
From the moment of check-in I immediately felt relaxed and welcomed. The staff made our stay so perfect. We were always greeted with smiling faces and addressed politely. The hospitality of all staff at the resort was exceptional. The location was perfect for the quiet, relaxing holiday I'd hoped for. Beautiful Klong Muang beach immediately over the road. Dedicated staff to ensure cleanliness, towels and activities were on hand. As well as sun loungers under the shady trees. We dined at Koh Poda pool bar, White Lotus, and Venezia. We loved being able to call for service of food and drinks for lunch at Koh Poda Pool bar whilst lazing around the pool. White Lotus is a 10 out of 10 for their exceptional service and delicious dishes. Venezia was also delightful for Italian dishes. Maya restaurant was unfortunately closed for dinner during our stay due to groups/functions but the buffet breakfast we consumed each day was beyond my highest expectations! It was a truly incredible experience with so many foods on offer. The choices were endless. The freshness, quality and staff service were amazing. Explorer bar was fantastic for a quiet cocktail and again exceptional service. We were lucky to indulge in 6 massages at SoSpa and 'wow' what a truly beautiful experience! Everything about the Spa was soothing. Such a tranquil place. The lovely staff with amazing skills had us floating out of the spa every time! A truly unique experience and a 'must do'. The pool .... ohhhh the pool.... apart from providing relief from the heat of the day ... it was immaculately sparkling clean and absolutely huge in size! Dedicated 'quiet zone' for adults which we loved. The grounds of the resort were immaculately kept and a pleasure to stroll around. The range of activities on offer would keep a person active all day if you wanted. There was so much to do. You would be impressed to say the least. Our room was beautiful and large in size. Housekeeping team are perfectionists. Our room was always a pleasure to return to day after day. Even a small note written on a palm leaf one evening was a special touch and very much appreciated. Also a mention for 'Rut' and his team who provided tours right out front of the resort. We booked 2 private long tail boat tours during our stay. One to Hong Island and the other to Railay Beach and Poda Island. We had as much time as we pleased at our preferred destination while the boat operator patiently awaited our return. Cold water and freshly cut pineapple were given to us each time on our return trip to the resort. It was such a pleasure to be able to stroll across the road to begin our day out instead of being shuttled to and from the resort to tour. The resort also has dedicated speed boats right out front for tours but we wanted to try the 'traditional' way and it was fabulous! We truly enjoyed our stay at Sofitel. It was more than I could of ever hoped for in every aspect. Thank you to the entire Sofitel team who looked after myself and my daughter. We have memories to treasure. Thank you for making it ""MAGNIFIQUE""
They told me on checkin here, that they have the largest continual swimming pool in all of Thailand...so I looked it up on Google Earth and I reckon they are dead right. Never managed to circumnavigate it during my stay and it made the morning laps seriously challenging! Gorgeous French Colonial architecture complimented by traditional Thai style outbuildings, added later. Beautiful gardens and well appointed luxurious rooms. A vast and impressive property and a really lovely team of people looking after guests. Never got around to playing golf though, too hot for me, but that pool, the gym & bar all took a serious workout.
The pool is very magnificent, very big, the beach is quiet, but there are rocks, you need to swim for a while. Find a period where there are no stones to play with. Good service staff There is cleaning the room 2 rounds a day, even from the low range of 19 koi, also open various facilities, clean pool, fitness center, kid club, lounge, everything is clean. Ready to serve as before It is an encouragement to all the staff.
