Staff is very coutreous, kind and helpful. The pool is large and very nice. But there are additional charges for things and services that you may want to use there, like cycles/bikes etc. Overall, the stay was great and all of us were quite satisfied.

Simply amazing stay at this beautiful resort. The staff is super friendly and helpful with all you can think of. The boat service to Hong island is a easy get away when you want to experience more than the biggest pool in Thailand. Restaurants serve excellent food and drinks from the bar completes your evening. I hope we come back.

Stayed for 3 nights, great experience, buffet breakfast and dinner. The noon steak is too hard and over cooked. The noon drink only provides coffee and tea, no other beverages such as juice soda, and too few choices. The room is very good, spacious and clean, once you enter the room, the air-conditioning will help you open it, the bathing supplies are easy to use, the fragrance is fragrant, the swimming pool is oversized, and the beach opposite the hotel can take a boat to the sea.

Really neat and comfortable hotel and staff.

Generally very enjoyable. Let down a little by the service/food quality in Venezia. Didn't quite feel like a five star hotel but service was generally excellent. Probably excellent for families, less so for couples. Golf course 9 hole, predominantly par 3, but still challenging and enjoyable.

It is a wonderful hotel in Krabi! Only expensive eating.

p.s. Be careful about travel to 4 Islands with company near Beach this hotel. It was bad service, strange yacht, very bad eating!!!(

The spacious swimming pool was impressive.
The breakfast buffet is also clean and delicious, so the satisfaction is high.

We were there for 7 days in January. A really wonderful hotel. Nice rooms and a great facility. The highlight is definitely the large pool. There is a separate pool area for adults

Negatives: If you are at the pool the road between the hotel complex and the beach is annoying. Roaring scooters and trucks pass by every minute. There is probably a gravel pit nearby.
This is the first Sofitel without champagne or sparkling wine for breakfast. Not dramatic but unfamiliar. The beds are also very hard.

Conclusion: For the money I would recommend a hotel with a direct beach.

There is playground, playroom, and pool for children is wide, too. There was an event in the garden, and the children enjoyed it very much.
The food is also delicious.
As the site is large, it may be a bit hard to take time to move.

The stay at the hotel was not of value. You could certainly find a better beachfront hotel in Ao Nang or Klong Muang for a lower price point. Note that Sofitel Krabi is not sited directly on the beach, and one will have to make use of a small gate behind the pool to cross the main road to find sand and sea. It was also located far from Ao Nang which was the main gateway in Krabi.

The beach strip in front of the hotel had pieces of driftwood and trash. Moreover there were also pieces of ceramics lying around, posing a hazard. The view of the sea was blocked by a large commercial pier under construction. One would be paying a premium to stay here just for the pool.

Service staff were mostly friendly, like in most Thai hotels. Booking through AccorHotels official website was a bad decision, as booking via third party websites turned out cheaper. Customer Care did not afford the courtesy of a reply to enquirers re: the higher price paid. All in all, look elsewhere if you could.

Beautiful resort! The service is amazing. The front staff, Winston the manager and the entire team put their heart and soul into making your experience outstanding.
I recommend a Thai massage from Won (aka Sweetie). She is an expert and very strong. You will love it!

We have just returned from our stay at the hotel. The hotel is very beautiful, very clean and the food for breakfast is amazing. They have a great choice of fresh fruit and juices as well as a great variety of food from toast and cereal to sushi. We used the trips provided by the hotel which were really worth the price! We booked it with Al who was always kind and helpful and organised great trips for us even when we decided to go at the last ninute! I strongly recommend the Hong island trip and the rainforest trip where you get to swim in the emerald pool, hot water springs and see the Tiger Temple. We had an amazing tour guide for our rainforest trip - Pat, who is also a leisure concierge at the hotel. She has made our trip truly unique! She taught us a lot about the Thai culture, food and many other things. She was simply great! We stayed at the hotel as a family of 4, 3 adults and 1 child (9 year old girl). The swimming pool is huge and during the day you have some competitions with prices. The hotel has a separate area in the swimming pool for children and they also have a Friday evening frozen show. Everyone at the hotel is really friendly and helpful. I would really recommend staying in this resort when in Thailand - we will definitely be returning. The beach owned by the hotel is always clean and the hotel provides a free shuttle bus to town and back. We didn't eat in the Italian restaurant, but we did go to the Thai/Indian restaurant a few times. The food there was great! My favourite was the green curry dish!
In my opinion the hotel is great and is really worth the 5*! The rooms are spacious, clean and really nice. It's a great hotel not only for families, but also for couples, single travellers and groupa of friends. We cannot wait to be back!

Struggling 4 star hotel. In comparison to other hotels in the area I would say it's 5 stars. On an international level I would barely give it 4. If you walk the property and grounds and you will see many areas of the property poorly maintained or in need of repairs maintenance. If the hotel was given a full refresh and other improvement it has potential to be a five star grounds.
On service the staff are wonderful. The staff is wonderfully polite, respectful, even playful. The wait staff is trying but some don't understand etiquette or service I would expect from a chain restaurant in states working for tips.
Food. Breakfast and prepared food is generally very good. I tried several mixed drinks and they were poor at best.

Huge five star hotel with great facilities, but not impressive services.

We booked the room in the last minutes and able to get a night with 2 extended night. Check-in and reception staff is was great and efficient.

I requested for seaview room for 2 time, when I made a booking thru accor and when I extended my stay. Unfortunately, we got a garden view without sea view or explaination from the staff.

We got 2 incidents which room card was not working, we could not enter the room. Maid refused to help and we need to walk long way back to reception to get the new cards both 2 times.

Room was clean after 3 pm everyday and we need to call reception before we got it clean up, maybe not enough staff during long holiday.

Pool staff was too busy, so we could not manage to order anything on 13th and 14th april.

Fitness facility was great with good equipment and good service.

Far away from Krabi town and not much transportation back and forth. Hotel provides shuttle with limited schedule. Our room was pool side and was very large with tired furnishings. Maintenance of the hotel is average or poor - rain stained walls, our door making very loud screaching noise. However, room was very clean. Food is the hotel was okay and priced according Sofitel expectations. Check in appeared to be very chaotic, too many people asking same questions.
I am not sure I would come back unless hotel would improve connection to the town and their maintenance.
And the beach by the hotel is nothing special.

An exceptional welcome at this high level hotel. The room and the environment (fabulous pool) are absolutely clean. The Thai staff is worthy of praise.

It could have been 10 if the lizards in he room had been cleared by the room cleaning staff. That was the blu negative but a big sore point with my wife and son who both didn't sleep one whole night ether the lizards clucking.

In all other ways a great great stay, beautiful.

Hotel and facilities are good
Spa is very mediocre. I went to facial the first day and mani+pedi the next day.
Facial was ok, but mani+pedi were one of the worst, very unprofessional. Nails were not filed properly, cuticles were cut very lousily. The therapist dodn't want want to remove dead skin from my feel, until I reminded her. Nail polish was very dry and old and was in crumples.
For that price I could have done mani+ pedi 3-4 time in other places.

We had a wonderful time during stay for 2 nights and got free trip to Hong Island. The environment is great, hotel is perfect for everyone in family, room is clean, lot of activities. The staffs are nice, especially K.Pat who took us to Hong Island, we did climb up 419 stairs to 360 View point and worth it(recommended), she is brilliant and outstanding, she made this trip more remembered as she guided us to another unseen place that we had local breakfast on local boat during an unforgettable Sunrise in Krabi. We will definitely come back(soon)!. /MP

The restaurant is Thai and Italian.
Rent a scooter of 300 baht per day and stay nearby.
There is a very big swimming pool and it is good for children to play.
There is a 9-hole golf course, just over Thb 825, and club rentals are also at Thb 825.
The beach is not connected to the hotel and you have to go through a two-lane road, but the white sand is not so wide, so it's best to wear your shoes because there are corals.

It's a wonderful property with lush green golf courses and a huge pool. It is right on the beach as well. The three restaurants are all good and one of them has decent Indian food as well. Overall service is excellent and they have lots of daily activities for both adults and kids. Only negative is the property is about 20 mins from Ao nang but I didn't find it to be a big problem. They do have a complementary shuttle service to take you there.

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days in June. Because it was rainy season, hotel was generally hansan and it was good to take a rest. The hotel was old-fashioned and the size and facilities of the rooms were satisfactory. There was a part where the state of the room cleaning was a little unsatisfactory. The water head on the shower head was not wiped properly, so I was a little sore. The outdoor swimming pool was so big that we were able to enjoy the water. I liked having a small drink for the service if I was in the sunbeds. It was also nice to have a cocktail 1 + 1 promotion between 4 and 6 o'clock in the pool bar. Because there are many programs on its own, it is not boring even if it is only in the resort. There is a free shuttle service to Ao Nang city so it is convenient to come back for dinner. Breakfast was very sad because there was no mango, but rice noodles were very delicious and various other dishes were prepared and I was able to eat for 3 days without getting tired.

the hotel has an amazing swimming pool, great rooms and really amazing food services as well. we bought the kids 700 baht per day accor hotels package but we faced trouble since not every one (and some main reception staff) didn't knew the details of the package and were not ready to listen to us. this was very disheartening. Hotel is an excellent choice for families and you don't need to go any where to keep the kids engaged

This is a high end resort and golf course. It is very large with beautiful grounds and rooms. There is a choice of restaurants with entertainment nightly for children and adults. The catering is superb.
There is a huge pool and the hotel is also on a beach. It has its own boat and tours are offered.
This is also a wonderful venue for functions and many are held here.
A very comfortable place to stay!

Though the hotel is old, the room was very well kept and clean.

Hotel very well maintained and has a very pleasant staff.
Our room was very well equipped and we had a very good stay.
Without a doubt we will come back.

In the hotel I rested for the third time. A lot of new beginnings, which made the hotel stay much more enjoyable. I liked the clothes of the staff and the renovated interiors, the excellent breakfasts, not least due to the new equipment in the restaurants, the excellent gym and, of course, the caring and friendly staff. Special thanks go to Ekaterina Masyutina, who worked in the gym and gladly helped everyone who approached her. She helped me not only in the gym, but also in the case of difficult issues related to my lack of English proficiency. Great impression was made by the manager involved in sports with vacationers. Very friendly and energetic. person. All this creates an atmosphere of unobtrusive and cozy comfort. Many thanks to the hotel team for a wonderful stay.

We had a great stay at the Sofitel with nice friendly staff in the club room with( Bella,Tanya and Ing I cna remember)making our stay great. It was very quiet due to low season which made the stay nice and Quiet.

We had breakfast in the main area and were greeted every morning with a smile by Lockkatte.

We couldn't fault any of the staff during our stay.

The attention to detail as well as the high quality of every product in the resort are probably the strong point. The staff is always available, except on an emergency occasion in which he could have done more, the vote is not higher for that reason

The big downside for me is the fact that the hotel is really out of town, no life around. 3 days were enough for me with 2 children.

Staff very welcoming and available - We particularly appreciated that Mr. Hugo Gaillard made himself available to settle some details, our spoken English is not up to par. He made sure to solve some shadow points between the travel agency and the hotel. He was also good advice for tourist points to visit. An excellent professional!

Wonderful hotel in Krabi. The restaurants did not deliver the taste and fitness a high-end hotel deserves though. The cleaning was good, at times but also not what you'd expect from a hotel like this.

The check in was quick and efficient. My wife and I was escorted to our room by a beautiful young trainee by the name of Ling who was so gentle and polite. (A very good first impression.) The room was of reasonable size with a balcony overlooking the swimming pool (which is gigantic ). The hotel ground is also huge and very well maintained.
I tried golfing there but I think golf is low priority there as the course is poorly maintained especially the bunkers. There is no blower even to clean our shoes, so we have to clean them in our room ...yucks
The fitness centre is superb with new equipment complete with TV. The place is very clean as well.
The entrance to the Lotus restaurant is so well designed and very captivating. We tried the Thai food on our first visit there and it's so delicious. The Indian food was great as well. The waiter and waitresses were so helpful friendly and very attentive especially Sao (hope I got her name right). It was pricey though (luckily I am an Accor Club member). The invitation to the "Fete en blanc" was a very nice touch.
The only complaint that we have is that the pillows are too soft. ........... and the beach...which looks terrible

We had a great 10 day stay. The staff in the Club and at the Pool in particular were fantastic.
The main pool was excellent and the food quality, especially the Indian, was first class

If you need a quiet and relaxing hotel to stay...good foods, big pool, cross a road to the beach.

The hotel is a fusion of French and Thai styles. It should be opened in 2007. There are one 711 in two minutes, but there are too many guests. Some breakfast restaurants have to line up.

We very much enjoyed the friendly, sometimes personal atmosphere. We stayed for 18 days and several employees knew us by name and knew what we wanted.
Almost everyone goes the extra mile to make you feel right. The pool is lovely (warm) and something for everyone.
