Hotel resort of the best, unbeatable service, all very kind and attentive. Huge pool, they have 6 restaurants (one of them on the pool). They take you to the village by car and pick you up for free. The tranquility is appreciated and the beach is 3 meters away. Spacious rooms with terrace, bathtub and separate shower, hairdryer and iron. We have been very happy especially with the Maya restaurant staff.

What an incredibly wonderful surprise it was to stay at the Sofitel Krabi for two weeks.

To suggest that the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, comfortable and looked after is a gross understatement. We honestly felt more at home here than we ever could have imagined.

The pool is simply outrageous in size and ticked a large box for our experience. The room was perfect with plenty of space and very comfortable appointments. The grounds were clearly well kept and the hotel obviously takes pride in keeping such high standards.

Clay Clayton as our personal contact for the stay was brilliant. At some hotel stays, you can feel a little awkward with "forced" interactions with staff and management, but Clay was at the very least a good friend to us for the stay, but truthfully was our go to guy for absolutely anything. Nothing was too much of a hassle and despite Clay clearly having a busy role, never ever for one second made us feel like it was any problem at all to stop for a chat about our stay. It was clear he was genuinely keen to see us have an incredible experience.

Overall the staff were friendly and more than willing to help, though special mention also needs to go to the wonderful team in Club Millesime and also the food and beverage staff in all of the restaurants. They were all absolutely wonderful in going above and beyond to make our stay even more memorable.

The best part about our stay was that our 20 month old daughter got to know many of the staff and although she can be quite shy sometimes and is always guarded meeting new people, she became very comfortable and familiar with the staff. It was brilliant for us to see her interact with the staff during the stay and call several of them by name!

We simply had an amazing time and are already planning our return trip. We have already spoken with family and friends about joining us.

Furthermore, we have already had discussions with over a dozen other travelers about the hotel and the fact they must try it out. Most of them were like us initially not knowing about the hotel, though I am sure we will become excellent ambassadors for the hotel and be sending plenty of guests your way!

Thank you for being ideal hosts.

Beautiful resort in quiet location to get away from it all. Fantastic pool - largest in Thailand- with plenty of loungers, swim up bar and adults only area. Grounds and hotel well cared for and the staff were always friendly and helpful. Room was large and equipped with everything you could need.

Restaurant and room service food were great. The breakfast selection was extensive and delicious. Happy hour at the bar comes with free bar snacks - brilliant! Short 10 minute walk up the road to restaurants, massage spas, etc - recommend Mums cafe - best chicken green curry I ve ever had! Shuttle into Ao Nang was great for a change of scene and easy to use.

We felt well cared for at the Sofitel Krabi Phokeethra Resort and would definitely stay again.

Third visit here at Sofitel, (where's the cocktaill party for returning guests..?)
Will likely to return due to nice surroundings and islands nearby.
Very nice hotel with extremely attentive and nice staff. Top notch!
Huge pool. The pool is just big and boring, sunbeds gets taken early. The garden is just as boring, large spaces, surely easy to manage as a garden, but I sure miss the lush greenery!
Breakfast has a great diversity, but not up to JW Marriott standard.
To get to the beach, which is somewhat rocky, a busy road must be crossed. A guard is available. Go to Tup Kaek beach instead, rent a Scooter!
Location is close to the small local village, a couple of hundred meters. Plenty of restaurants nearby.
Drinks, ice cream, food, massage, is ridiculous expensive in hotel.
Child care and activities are absolutely top, with wonderful staff!

We were guests at the Sofitel in May 2016 and I can say we haven't regretted our stay! The rooms were perfect, the service staff at the reception, at the pool, in the hotel itself, simply brilliant.
The pool is gorgeous! Every wish was met as best we could. But they couldn't do anything for the weather. We had a lot of rainy days and yet we weren't bored in the hotel either. The breakfast was great, the food in the restaurant left nothing to be desired and the price-performance ratio was not exaggerated for this luxury hotel and totally affordable. The managers themselves were present every day and kept in touch with the guests. We felt at home. I would also give six stars. Our recommendation !!

Beautiful place. Very close to the beach. You can just walk from the pool area to the beach and back. You'll have to cross a road though. The largest swimming pool I've seen so far.

Lovely place and lovely pool, which is divided up with both children's and adult areas. It does, however, slightly down that you have a road outside and not so idyllic beach, barely as idyllic as eg previous visits to Khao Lak. Prices are high in the hotel, but 500m from the hotel there are more authentic thai restaurants and there is also a little nicer beach with fantastic sunset. There are a few places where you can be in the shade outside during the daytime. Our room was a bit worn.

Possibly one of the best hotels we have stayed at in a while!!
We felt amazingly well looked after.
Highlights:
- Amazing swimming pool
- The Witbit - coolest pool game ever!!
- The kids pool - totally wonderful the kids could play and touch the bottom across it all - even our 1 year old.
- The breakfast - WOW
- The kids club
- The New Year s Eve Party - AMAZING!
- Staff who are willing to do anything - I even saw one member fixing a child s blow up pool toy with a a patch!
- The Frozen show - possibly one of the greatest moments of our little girls life meeting and giving Elsa a cuddle
- Excellent room service
- Kids meals - there is a kids menu which is good, but out kids are a little fussy, we just said what we wanted and even if it wasn t on the menu the chef was happy to sort it out. Really wonderful for us
- The sailing boats and paddle boards, really great fun
- Resident nurse at the hotel, we all ended up seeing her at some point - she is fabulous, especially as it s always difficult on holiday thinking where the nearest doctors, pharmacy is, she just sorts it all out - fantastic!!!
- The staff really make this place. Special shout outs to...

- Khun Noodang, Khun Sand, Khun Mint, & Khun Pamela from the kids team, our kids were looked after so so well. Thank you.
- Nurse Kwaan!
- Khun Nittan & Khun Ing from the Breakfast team
- Khun Fern on reception - very happy and willing to do anything to help
- Khun Eve - Our little girl did the light dance with her each evening
- Khun Al from the leisure team - always a great smiley face
- Elsa & Anna :-)
- Khun Phat from the management team - always checking to see what she could do more and nice to talk to a friendly face

Only a couple of things I would recommend:
- Have kids plates, bowls, cups, place mats, wet wipes, and cutlery readily available in ALL the restaurants
- Improve the service in the Italian restaurant and poolside
- Have the staff check for broken glass on the beach
- Take away the signs saying you can t dry stuff outside as nothing seems to dry inside

Overall a really fantastic stay, thank you.
Love from The Jamieson Family xx

Great stayed at the Krabi Sofitel, the team, the breakfast and the Thai restaurant inside the resort were delicious.
The service is also fantastic!!! The negative point is the beach in front of the hotel who is ugly.

I love the amazing huge pool but pity the waters is kind of warm when it hits 12 noon- 4 pm.
Love the quiet area designated for adults at pool.

All the staff are polite, friendly and attentive.

I was disappointed a bit that the restaurants in hotel do not serve more extensive thai cuisine.
My room air con is not as cold although I turn down to 5c.

The pool is awesome. The breakfast has variety of food, but expect more choices of pancakes. The hotel is located near the beach, only a small road in the middle, but not that clear and nice. Also hard to find anything to eat if you dont have transportation.

Nice luxury hotel, with very friendly and helpful staff. Nice spacious rooms, big swimming pool and if you cross the road you have a private sort of beach. The area is a bit isolated from the main market. But you have complimentary shuttle bus service from hotel, at different timings to and from the market - Ao Nang. Restaurants are good with great yummy food. You get Indian food also here! The hotel has many complimentary activities also like, Yoga in the morning, Thai classes, badminton classes, movie shows for kids and adults etc. 24 hr. free WiFi is also provided

By far the worst Sofitel I ve ever stayed in. They often ran out of fresh coconut water (a staple in Thailand beach resort), food quality was bad esp at their main restaurant, service was horrendous at the restaurants often waiting more than 10 mins for attention on even the smallest thing like having cutleries! The room was old and dated. There was a staleness in the air quality and the aircond wasn t working well. I would not waste money or time at this resort if I d had a choice.

Stayed eight nights. Fantastic hotel. Service from staff was great, hotel and room very clean. Breakfast had a extensive range of food. There are restaurants nearby if you are willing to take a short walk (5-10min)

Qualifier - my rating is based solely on my experience at the Explorer Bar, as I didn't stay at the Sofitel.

We were blown away by the service at the Explorer Bar - special thanks to the affable Thai waitress who opened the restaurant for the day and the French manager (pity didn't get their names).

I was there with my toddler, waiting for my husband, who came for a round of golf. When I arrived, the restaurant hadn't opened yet, and the waitress was busy setting the tables. Yet, she came by with a warm smile, played with my toddler for a bit and asked if she could offer her a cookie while we waited.

After the restaurant opened and we were waiting for our orders, my toddler fell asleep. Noting this, the French manager turned down the music a notch. Seeing that my husband was carrying her in his lap, he again took the initiative to shift a heavy 3 seater sofa from another table so that he could put her down. Subtle touches which we didn't ask for nor expect is the pinnacle of great service.

Food was impeccable too. We ordered the fish and chips and the sliders. Both were absolutely delish.

Thank you for the wonderful experience and keep up the excellent work! :)

great food, friendly and extremely attentive staff, a lot activities for children and adults. Superb pool with a great bar. Place is really impressive with all the wood though a bit old but everything works well and is in good shape, especially the air con in the room. Place is huge so we got lost once even though it is our second stay. Fitness Center is top notch latest machines available. Lightning in room is a bit odd, too many lamps that need switched on and off individually.

Clean hotel, good service Boat to the island, good service room Dress up while going kayaking The staff explained the path is not clear. So slightly numb As for the food Not as tasty as it should be Breakfast is still fresh. But the lunch buffet is like leftovers from the morning without being delicious This hotel, a lot of children, should be part of a child-free diet.
