Sofitel Dubai Downtown Review

This hotel is located at walking distance from the Khalifa Tower and a number of other corporate offices if the weather is good.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.
The rooms are clean and well maintained.
I booked a room for a couple of nights and had an upgrade to a suite that has very good views of Dubai including the gulf, Khalifa Tower and the nearby metro station which did not cause any noise at all.
The breakfast was very generous and had good variety that you should not miss.
Highly recommended and will definitely be on the top of my list when I visit Dubai next time.

Very good hotel for holiday goers and conferences. Club lounge is decent and the staff is nice but it not open 24 hours. Restaurants are excellent. Wifi is on unsecured network and speed is somewhat slow. Rooms are large and bathrooms are excellent.

Fantastic experience with amazing facilities and customer service

The hotel is perfect. The spaciousness of the spaces, the decoration is very refined and modern, the rooms are very comforting. Also the attention of all the staff is magnificent. The exquisite food.

Breakfast was amazing with a lot of food selection from the buffet in the breakfast.

The rooms, amenities, location but most importantly of all, the staff are all truly amazing, would highly recommend for a stay in Dubai.

It is a sophisticated and quiet hotel, the most important feature of which is its proximity to the Dubai Metro Station

Instead of placing a hold on my credit card for security deposit, Sofitel withdrew money which has caused me international transaction fee (not once but twice!). I have contacted the hotel with all documents showing the case a few times and someone called Khaled responds and says thanks for your feedback. Really disappointing for Sofitel.

Great business hotel. We got a great upgrade. The service was excellent. For vacationers the location is not ideal, for a business trip already. Unfortunately, the location was pretty much blocked, so that one sees the Burj Khalifa only in parts.

From the time Stella the reception is greeted me upon early check-in that they granted me, I couldn t of been more thankful for them extended that opportunity to me. The spa was incredibly amazing and priced very reasonably. I did a body scrub and massage treatment that was out of this world and very thorough. The restaurants are of high quality in the fitness center is well-equipped and modern. I highly recommend this property and I ll definitely be coming back this day! The staff are amazing and helpful with anything, facilities were abundant; 24hr gym, spa, pools even a nightclub. Exceptional dining areas and the room was great size, view and that bed, no words can describe. Go check it out.

Very nice location, friendly staf, excellent restaurants and amazing swimming pool

Nice hotel; but to get there (driving) can be a challenge.

It s been 8 months since I last visited this hotel and I am again impressed with the impeccable service they provide. Amzad in the laundry department was always prompt and courteous and went above and beyond restocking necessary consumables in my room. Ganga at the Above restaurant was also very helpful and took the time to highlight places to visit while in town. The entire staff work to make you feel welcome at every interaction. Besides the staff, the location is perfect for hitting the myriad restaurants in the Dubai Mall. Most have a seating area perfect for viewing the fountain and Burj displays. I will gladly stay here again for future business stays.

My stay at the Hotel Sofitel Dubai was far better than any hotel stay ever. Their employees are called Ambassadors and they went all out to make you feel privileged. Ambassadors Neway, Stella, Francis, Chimae,Anthony, and Johnathan were the Ambassadors that stood out. Neway felt like family, he greeted us 3 and 5 times a day with each welcome warm and genuine as the first. Francis was right in tune as well. Stella was an absolute peach. Anthony was our housekeeper and he tended to us as if he were our personal housekeeper. Johnathan works inside Inka their Peruvian restaurant and he served me my first Pisco sour. It was ahhmazing!!!! I also met a kind gentleman by the name of Stewart at Inka. Hi Stewart. I will most definitely stay at the Sofitel Dubai again.

In a 5-star hotel, I expected a lot more. According to the latest photos, the urgently needed renovation has already taken place.
We liked the location to public transport and the beautiful (STILL) unobstructed view of the Burj Khalifa best.

This was my fifth stay at Sofitel Downtown Dubai and it never disappoints me. Always good service and pleasant stay. the check in and check out was very swift and I was upgraded to a presidential suite from an opera suite booking. The suite was huge and magnificent with very modern furniture and the bathroom was very spacious with private rain shower with steam facility. The bathroom also has a very nice bathtub by the huge floor to ceiling window and with its tv screen. The suite also has a kitchen with a separate entrance and a guest toilet. This hotel was and still among my favourite hotels in Dubai

- Rooms in daily rate is affordable, the room service dining menu prices are a bit high.

I would give this hotel 10 stars if I could! We are currently having one of the best hotel experience at the Sofitel Downtown Dubai. The staff is incredibly polite and friendly with a special mention to Khaled & Baha for the warm welcome, Luan for her nice tips at the front desk and Jeric at the gym for his training advices. The room is spatious, peaceful and beautiful. The amenities are great with one of the best Hammam and Sauna I have experienced in long time. The location is also very convenient at 2 steps from the metro and few minutes walking distance from the Dubai Mall/ Burj Khalifa. Thank you for this memorable stay which is now in our top 5 of the best hotels we have stayed.
