Lovely hotel situated in a quiet area of Cairo.. hotel was super clean and staff was super friendly and always ready to help. Food was excellent especially breakfast! Highly recommend this hotel if you want to wind down after a busy day touring Cairo.

This is a great example of genuine French hospitality imposing itself and standing high and proud amidst a jungle of behemoth international hotel chains. Everything about the Sofitel Gezira speaks of a French touch of grandeur without being overly flashy. The subtle tree lined walkway alongside the Nile, the charming lobby, lush greenery, courteous and attentive staff, sumptuous open buffet, delicious touches of exotic food, the Sofitel experience is fulfilling to the connoisseur.

We stayed here a couple of nights prior to our river cruise. We arrived very early in the morning but were still allowed to check in right away, which we appreciated enormously. The room was spacious. The bed was very comfortable. We were on the ninth floor. We had a terrific view of the pool as well as the Nile. (We were told that since the hotel is round, every room has a view of the Nile.) There are two nice restaurants downstairs.

Especially the interest in the inmate service, Sister Hiyam, Merian, and Sarah, and everyone was really happy to spend the vacation at Sofitel Al Jazeera, and we advised the female colleagues to stay in it.
