My experience with kebabji was really wonderful, the session is beautiful and the food is excellent, the oriental oud. We felt so much about it. With the terrible session on the Nile, Sister Shaima received us the most beautiful reception and her hospitality honored me in front of the family

Worst experience ever

Worst experience ever
The room was very bad , bathroom not clean and problem with the sink . Someone called about my staying and I told him about it then they fixed it but what is funny that the floor was dirty at least clean up after doing a work in the room.
Not recommended by the quality of the room nor by its unfriendly employees.
Not even a 3 star hotel

The outdoor cafe is great. It is right at the Nile side. The service provided by the staff was excellent. They are very friendly and helpful especially Menna at the reception and Fawazi at the cafe.

I would recommend visiting this place and enjoy the view and the nice seated area.

Stayed at Sofitel El Gezirah 5 nights in September 2018 and would like to recommend it to anyone!

- Rooms were very clean
- Breakfast was absolutely fantastic. Loved the presentation, the taste and quality.
- rates are quite high, but reasonable for a 5 stars category
- loved the outdoor pool area a lot
- the in-house coiffeur did an excellent job.

The hotel is nice and central to Cairo and the property feels very secure. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms are dated and a little worn. If this hotel was in the US it would probably be a 3 star hotel. The real attraction for me was the restaurants on the ground floor along the river. The food was good and reasonably priced (although expensive for Egypt) and the view and atmosphere was excellent.

Actually i wasnt a resident at sofitel gezirah in a room but i have stated my stay from 9th to 10th Dec. 2016 because i've spent a full night complaining with no response.

I've been invited to my friend wedding at opera ballroom friday night 9th dec. 2016 under the name of moatasem & nourhan wedding but unfortunately this hotel staff was the reason to miss the wedding of my best friend.

After bride & groom entrance i've left my mobile on the table to share the second dance with them and came back after less than 5 minutes i didnt find my mobile phone "samsung s7 edge" and directly the mobile was switched off. I've reported this to the ballroom manager who collected the staff to the back area and they all said we disnt see anything but we can search for, after 2 hours searching in the ballroom, under the tables, in the garbage... etc i was wondring how come there is no cameras inside the ballroom???!! We went to police torism they refused to make a report hoping to find it soon.
When i asked them to track the camera for the past 2 hours with the attendance of the police officer one of the staff admitted that he stole it from the table when i was on the dance floor, i've asked the police officer to report what happend but they asked me to solve it amicably without an official report.
We've spent more than 4 hours with no show for the duty manager even. The thief said he threw it in the nile because the mobile was ringing and he couldnt swich it off & then he said he hide it in a place and then he said i threw it on the floor and its broken now.

After 9 hours of this harassment the romanian manager finally showed herself with the duty manager callled mahmoud to solve the problem. All what i asked for is to take my mobile back. She said we can compancate you to give you its price and i accepted. They said we go upstairs to give you a paper to keep your right and you come back in the afternoon to take your money back and the resolution was satisfying for me and accepted. After another 2 hours of waiting in the police tourism office they came with nothing and said they cannot take this responsibility and you can make the official report in the police tourism.

I think its a bad reputation for your hotel specially after knowing all the wedding attendees of what happned however it can take 5 minutes resolving in any other place specially after the admitting of the guy.

Is that what was excpected from a big hotel like this?

I need an immediate answer please.....
