This review is for day care and boarding, not any other service offered here (cause we haven't used anything else).

We love this place! Our two dogs go to doggy day care there every week, and they love it. The staff know their names, they smile when our dogs come in, and they seem to genuinely care about them. We are very happy with the services provided here.

I am a newbie at being a dog owner and Lena has been so helpful and has answered many questions I've had about my Golden Doodle. She has a love for animals that she shares with others. I'm a better dog owner with all the tips and advice she has given me.

Unhappy with our choice, we won t be returning for Carl s day / overnight care. Carl returned to us underweight and sluggish.

When we picked him up the desk clerk misquoted our original fees for keeping him overnight for 5 nights.

There are many choices for quality care for your pet in San Diego. This is not one of those choices.

I've never felt inclined to write a review - so this is a first. We moved from a 3,000 sq. ft. home to Little Italy (and 1,200 sq.ft). We have two extremely intelligent dogs but equally as stubborn - they were definitely not responding well to other dogs. We were, to say the least, completely stressed every time we went out with them. That's when we called Toni Stone. She took the time out to talk to us and assured us that even with our Briard being 10 (one of our concerns being "can you teach an old dog new tricks") that it was an easy fix as long as we did exactly what she told us to. She truly is the most amazing trainer and in a total of 4 short weeks, (one day a week sessions!) she taught us how to manage both dogs - (in the 2nd week they had a clear understanding of a down position and staying!) Toni is the best thing to happen to this family since moving and I would recommend her to anyone, dogs young or old, for training and a world full of knowledgable advice!

MISLEADING AND UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY

MISLEADING AND UNTRUSTWORTHY COMPANY
Poor Dog Training services at Snug Pet Resort Training Company
this holiday, I bought a puppy for my kids and decided to search a reputable dog-training center. After a search based on customer reviews, I decided to take my puppy to Snug Pet Resort Training, which had a higher ranking than other facilities in the neighborhood. Although the center was a 45-minute driving distance with San Diego traffic, the promised services, efficiency, and care convinced me to enroll my puppy in the school. Little did I know that it was the greatest mistake that I would make; the online reviews are misleading.
My initial encounter with the company trainer, David, was promising and the basic instruction and training session showed a sign of efficiency and understanding. I categorically, informed David that Ginger (the puppy) should be scheduled for puppy lesson for the first few weeks until she is old enough to board. I even explained my future goals since the puppy would grow to be a big dog. As a military family, a trained dog would be an advantage in the household, since we do a lot of traveling. After meeting David, I promised to call on following Saturday to make reservations for the first puppy training.
I made the call on Saturday, reserved, and paid for the same over the phone. However, the problems started when I called to confirm the day and time for the training. Surprisingly, the associate did not know of any reservation or a set time for the same. Funny enough, the company had no details on whom and when the reservation was made. When they confirmed the date and time, I drove to the Snug Pet Resort and I got the real shock of my life. First, the receptionist required me to give the name of the person I gave my reservation. I thought they had a record, but no. after a while, David arrived and began playing with the puppy. I was directed to follow David for the session, and my biggest surprise was when he said he had already started the lesson. Seriously, is playing with the puppy on the desk a lesson! Secondly, the lesson was a repeat of the basic commands. Thirdly, the security of the dogs is poor as another dog ran after Ginger and went after her, only for the trainer to say the puppy cried after David aggressively grabbed Ginger. Surprisingly after the incident David the high speed trainer stated Ginger had enough for the day, 10 into the second lesson, WOW!. That was a big joke. After driving for 45 minutes, waiting in the reception for over 20 minutes, the training lesson lasted for 10 minutes; a repeat of basic commands that Ginger knew, and my dog went home hurt and upset.
The following few, I decided to call management and explain my frustration. One of the manager tried to work it out, My husband and I felt dismissed and taking of advantage off. I requested a refund, and she stated I needed to bring a copy of my payment because they have no record of it. So I asked who took my payment? I replied, so I stated you can keep the money that I paid for the lesson package, and stated to the manger I will be reporting this company to our Post Legal Office.
The Snug Pet Resort has the worst customer services, poor coordination, lacks record books, and the services are frustrating. My experience made me doubt the high ranking and positive reviews provided by the customers. I would never recommend the center to anybody.
I will be reporting this company to our military law office to have them blacklisted, so Soldiers and their families will not be mislead and taking advantage off.
PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO THIS COMPANY

Wonderful place. The staff is friendly and always on site which is a big plus. Dohgs get regular outdoor time so they aren't starimg at the walls all the time. Our furry people come out relaxed and happy.

I only gave Snug 2/5 stars because of the facility and how great the area for doggy daycare is - otherwise, I would not recommend going here. We've tried daycare here twice and my dog loves the daycare turf area however the vet experience was sub par. They told me over the phone they had openings right away so that made me believe they weren't busy, I came to drop off my dog around 11:30am and they said go home and wait for a call. Well, around 2:30pm I'm thinking "why haven't they called yet?"

I finally get a call shortly after around 3:00pm. It's the doctor and he's saying how he wants to order every test under the sun AND give my dog 4 different meds because his medical issue isn't obvious upon examination. I understand that dogs cannot just tell you what's wrong with them so ordering the tests made sense to me, but what didn't make sense is why it took them 3.5 hours to determine that they can't find anything wrong with him. No call for updates at all. The doctor said I'd be receiving a call back with quotes and we can choose any amount from the list of stuff he wanted to do, this call back didn't even occur until almost 4:00. What was going on the whole time? Were they actually busy and didn't give me a heads up or did they completely forget about my dog?

Overall bad vibes with the vet experience especially when I was given attitude over the phone about just wanting to pay for the meds and omitting any tests because at this point I just wanted to take my dog home.

The second time we came for daycare I got bad vibes again when the woman collecting the dogs at the door refused to put the slip lead on my dog to take him in. He was visibly stressed out because of the vet experience the week prior, and just needed some comfort from the staff which was very obviously not given, in fact my friend standing there confirmed the attitude she was giving me as well. Other dogs were waiting to be dropped off for daycare while she let me struggle to get my dog inside. As soon as any staff member gets indie the door they take their mask off, too, so clearly so serious COVID protocols being taken here either.

I was impressed with his first day of daycare at Snug but after the lack of compassion I felt from the staff on the second and third visit told me I shouldn't go back.

Take my dog (11 year-old Frenchy) there all the time. They really care for their guests and even when I got into an accident right in front of Snug, they took my dog in overnight for free while I dealt with the tow truck and rental car. Highly recommend.
Also, my dog is really tired after daycare, he really gets to play a lot there :-)

We paid for the 21 day training for both dogs and it was well worth the money. It was like night and day when we received our dogs from the training. Our trainer nickt was extremely helpful and did a fantastic job! He also updated us about how our dogs were doing which was also fantastic! Definitely recommend training your dogs at this establishment because they really put effort into training your dogs! And they really take good care of them as well! Once again definitely recommend and nickt if you re reading this you re the man!

This place is awesome. I have been taking my dog Benny for training and he has stayed for day play. Yesterday was the first time I have ever boarded him overnight anywhere but I was confident he would be fine at SNUG and he was. When I picked him up today he was bathed and so happy and worn out.... He must have had played all day yesterday. I would recommend SNUG for training, day care and boarding to anyone and everyone I just love this place but more important Benny loves it.

My husband and I highly recommend Snug Pet for training. We took Mighty Mo, our little rescued pitbull, there for training and enrolled her in the 10-12 week Masters Program. Dave Culp was our trainer and he did a great job with her. Truly. When we first brought her home from the rescue she had no manners whatsoever, was awful to walk because she pulled so hard our arms hurt and we were afraid we were going to choke her. It just wasn't pleasant. She also had an abundance of energy that needed to be focused.

Although sending her off to boarding school for 3 months seemed like overkill it was the best thing we could have done. The investment was well worth it. Dave and his team of trainers were able to give her consistent training everyday. Every week Dave would send an email with a picture and update on how she was doing. I looked forward to that email every week!

When Dave finally deemed her ready to come home, we came in for our lesson on how to continue training her and reinforce everything she had learned over that past several weeks. Seemed we need more training than she did.

In the end, Mighty Mo is a great walker, both on and off the leash, knows her boundaries and is very well behaved. We look forward to our daily walks now, instead of dreading them. She is still the crazy ball of energy she always was, but now we know how to focus her to listen even when she is excited.

The time and money spent is a great investment for both you and your dogs quality of life together. Thanks Dave!!

Snug Pet Resort is worth every penny.

Snug Pet Resort is worth every penny.

Six months ago, I adopted a rescue. Initially, we were told that he was going to put to sleep because he was too aggressive. We just thought he needed some love, and adopted him anyways. Over two months, our dog bit up furniture, pulled on his leash all the time, barked at distractions, jumped on people, and would be super mouthy playing with us or other dogs. Once he got kicked out of day care, we knew we needed to go to Snug to get some help.

Snug also doubles as a vet and grooming facility. It made me feel so much more comfortable knowing that our dog would have everything he needed if anything went wrong while we were away. Our dog went through the 4 week training. Mason, his trainer, was great and sent us emails and pictures with updates.

When we got our dog back, he knew all his commands, responded to his name, stopped pulling on his leash, and was never the first to bark at others or dogs in our complex. It was like having a completely new dog.

The trainings with Mason, us, and our dog after the 4 week trainings were perfect. Mason gave us explicit directions on how to best deal with different situations, and was even on call for any of our immediate questions. These trainings were the perfect tune up for our dog to remember how to act. Plus, our dog really seems to love the staff.

We still want to attend group trainings at Snug so our dog can be around more dogs, but Snug has honestly taken the weight off my shoulders. I felt so trapped thinking that I had to stay home with my dog because he was too aggressive in public, and now we can take him to restaurants and breweries without much trouble.

Yes, it s expensive. But you get what you pay for. Great facility, amazing staff, great communication, and just an overall amazing support system for your dog. It s one of the best investments I ve ever made.

My dog went to sessions training (rather than board and train) here after I adopted him at 1 years old. He did great, and is now the best behaved dog I've ever had. My dog also goes to the vet and boards here and does an occasional day stay. The entire staff knows who he is and he gets really excited every time we pull into the parking lot.

My dog was attacked here at doggie day camp. Head split open, bites all over his body. They refused to show the video and did little to remedy the situation. Surprised this place has such a high rating. This happened a while ago, however, I felt it was important to share due to the misleading rating.

Lena is an exceptional trainer. Our little guy definitely has a Napoleon complex around other dogs. Lena was great in training him and me! Lena was also incredibly patient and comforting- which was exactly what I needed. She was able to be flexible and work with my very anxious tendencies, which has helped me become a better dog mom. Our little guy is very smart, but now I m smarter and know what to do. Thanks Lena!

This 5 star review is for the 14 day training program we did at Snug Pet Resort. We sent our 1.5 year old dog for basic obedience which included sit, down, heel, come, drop it, leave it, off, and go to bed. Our dog had a very basic understanding of these commands but training with Mason for 14 days really reinforced them. Our dog is now very obedient on leash and we have enjoyed practicing his obedience is distracting places. He's much easier to take to busy places like malls and out to dinner thanks to Mason. Our training package included three 1:1 lessons with Mason after we took our dog home. It was great to see how excited our dog was to see Mason, because you know that means your pet is treated well at Snug.

Although I am giving 5 stars to training at Snug with Mason, I would only give 3 stars to the front office. The front office seems very disorganized. We had several issues related to communication. As part of the training package, you are supposed to get an intro phone call 2-3 days into the program from the trainer. When I dropped off my dog, I specifically told the front office that I would be out of the country so I had requested a phone call by a certain date and time. They claimed to have taken note and said they would accommodate. However, I did not receive an intro phone call. I called Snug before I left the country; they claimed to have no note in my file regarding my request and they didn't even know who was training my dog (who had been there for 3 days). This initially made me uneasy with leaving my dog at Snug for so long. I have since also received conflicting information about the services that Snug offers during boarding.

All in all, very happy with the training we received with Mason and will likely continue to train our dog with Mason. Expect hick ups with the front office.

I can't thank Lena Wilburn enough for the extra time she spent with my latest rescue. After 3+ weeks of boot camp for his aggression all around bad manners I took home an obedient and alert dog. We followed her directions to the tee and returned for our follow-up training sessions. I've noticed a marked improvement in Cooper's ability to be able to walk the neighborhood and to co-exist with us in our home. I couldn't be more pleased with his progress.

I want to thank Lena so much for her insight, patience and care that she has shown me and Cooper. She has help me understand Cooper's limitations and has reassured me over and over again of what I can expect from him.

I'll continue on with my training with Lena because I just don't want Cooper's "good news" story to end. Thank you Snug Pet Resort and thank you, Lena.

Had to leave my 5 mos. old Lab for three days. I was a little anxious despite all the great reviews but I had nothing to worry about. Pet Snug Resort is a great facility and every employee I've come in contact with clearly loves what they do!

We starting taking our Belgian Malinois at Snug when she was under one years old to start her training (she is now almost 6). I have to say when we first started bringing her there we were very impressed and signed her up for an intensive training program that costs thousands of dollars. That was the worst mistake we could have made. The training created a very nervous dog who we could no longer socialize. There was one experience when she was left to be boarded for 10 days while we were out of the state. We signed her up for the best room with a camera in it so we could keep an eye on her. When we got home to pick her up from Sung we found out that there was horrible even that took place between her and a crate. It was very well known that our dog was not able to be in a crate (her name on her file was "Meka no crate allowed"), due to the amount of anxiety she has while in it. They groomed her and put her in a blow dryer crate then the tech left the room while she was in it. She ended up breaking her K-9 teeth trying to get out which led to many dental visits and surgery, Snug paid for all medical costs of course. However, the trauma she experienced from this event has been life long. I have regretted the choice of taking my dog there ever since. I would never recommend this "pet resort" to anyone. Over priced and horrible care!

In all honesty, our pets are our children. We love them unconditionally and only want the best for them. When choosing a bootcamp/boarding facility we wanted to ensure we were making the best choice. My husband and I did our research. We interviewed various trainers and facilities, and wholeheartedly wrote out our pros and cons. Reading reviews doesn't do the place justice, actually sitting down speaking with the trainers, visiting the faculty, and getting a more hands on, is a more realistic approach. That's what we did and we are so grateful we chose snug. Everyone at snug took great care of our 2 mals. They have made excellent progress within the bootcamp and we continue to do their training at the facility as well as at home. It's a process and within this process the trainers have been there through it all with us. Our male and female were quite stubborn and set in their ways and through snug we were able to learn from our mistakes and how to better our dogs behavior in a positive and loving environment. Snug sent us updates/ pictures periodically not only checking on our dogs, but also reaching out for more assistance for training as needed. It's really changed our perspective about training and boarding our dogs. We feel like our Bella and stout (our mals) have another home at snug. Any medical or physical issue we were always informed and they took action taking extremely great care. I would most definitely recommend snug to any owner.

Our dog loves every visit at Snug. He has a great time playing with the other dogs and hanging out with the Snug staff. They are very always caring, affectionate and knowledgeable. Plus the play area is clean and filled with fun toys... including the pools!

They don't deserved to be given even 1 star. First time of my Lab there, I got excited saw that they have a pool. Communication between staff is so bad. Dropped off my dog at 7am, brought his food for lunch n dinner. Picked him up before 7pm, gave me a bag with his food inside untouched. I was sad and upset he didn't eat all day. They can't explain why, giving me all kinds of excuses. No call from their Mgmt, I have to call back and again more excuses. Mistake I took him there. I almost signed him for 14 day boot camp. I'm glad I didn't.

Small update:

Small update:

My dogs reactivity is now virtually non-existent. We now go on two pack walks a week, she's a great canine citizen, and is now more dog neutral than I thought she could ever be.

---

My review of Snug is a little overdue now. My dog went for a 3 week board and train right when things started hitting the fan with COVID-19. Despite all of the uncertainty and staffing changes the team at Snug did a great job with my pain in the butt dog.

A little background on my pup. I adopted her from a shelter when she was 1.5 years old and naive little me found out very quickly on my first day taking her out to pee that dogs can have something called "reactivity." I didn't know what to do since my "perfect" childhood dogs never had this issue- I found Snug on the suggestion of a friend and it changed our life and the relationship we have with our dog, in an overwhelemly positive way.

Do you have to keep the work going every.single.day. when your dog comes home? Yes. Are there days that I've been super frustrated and you I've wanted to give up. Yes. But my trainer at Snug is only an email or text away on those days to point me in the right direction. My dog came back fully trained, it's me that's taken longer to get trained haha.

This is a long review to say that Snug is worth every single penny. I now view dogs in a totally different way and realize the importance of structure and discipline in a dogs life. My dog can now loose leash walk, relax during the day when before she would pace all day long, her whining in the car is down to virtually nothing, she doesn't whine in the morning when she hears me get up, and we're able to leave her home alone for 3 hours ( before she couldn't be alone for 1 minute without screaming and howling).

Her reactivity is still a work in progress since I'm still fine tuning what works best for her and myself but she is miles past where she was before Snug. Her episodes are shorter when they do happen and she recovers much quicker.

I'm looking forward to boarding with Snug so that everything stays sharp.

I wanted to take this opportunity to say how fantastic the doggy training boot camp is at Snug... I've had two dogs trained by Mike Stone and his staff, and both experiences have been the absolute best! Because of the great training, my Frenchie Daisy can go just about anywhere with me, and is always getting compliments on her excellent manners. I would highly recommend doggy boot camp at Snug to every pet parent. There's nothing like having a well behaved pup, that everyone wants to be around! Thanks so much Mike, for taking such good care of me and my fur babies.

If I could give it less than one star I would. I ve never left a review before, but I m so frustrated I m not sure what else to do. PLEASE DON T LEAVE YOUR DOG HERE. We put our 6 month old husky through the 3 week training boot camp. He also went a week early to get nurtured. They were horrible about communication the whole time. They claim to send you an email each week, but it s obviously copy and pasted. They even sent me the same email twice with a different dogs name in it. Our puppy got sick while he was there and they tried to add hundreds more onto the already outrageous price, however I fought it due to him falling ill there. They also switched trainers unexpectedly without asking us which I did not like at all. We followed all the rules and even went to additional training sessions and introduced a shock collar, and to say the least our dog is still horribly behaved. They commands the taught him are so basic and should not reflect a 3 week boot camp. He still destroys everything in the house. We are currently going about disputing our contract.

Absolute waste of money. Don't even think about using this place if it is training your dog requires. Unless of course you want to pay $1800 so you dog will sit while they are on a leash ( woo -hoo ). Might be okay for daycare, dog training ? forget it !

We brought our naughty (but insanely sweet and cute) beagle Gracie to Snug for Puppy Boot Camp. After our no fee consultation the owner and head trainer, Mike indicated he felt the three week package was the best. There was no pressure to upsell to a higher package and the consult was very informative. We were well prepared on what to expect when we dropped Gracie off the following week. Within a day we receieve a phone call from our trainer, Mason. Mason is amazing. He was so patient with this crazy Puppy Mom (me). He made himself readily available for questions via several modalities. Additionally, weekly updates were sent with pictures! During her stay, Gracie got a cold. We were immediately notified by the owner and contacted by the in house veterinarian. I was never worried because it was clear Gracie was being well cared for. Since "Graduation" Gracie, her Daddy and I go to weekly class with Mason. He has been such a help in trouble shooting challenges we are facing. Gracie went into boot camp a super high energy, destructive, little girl whom never listened and would get aggressive when she didn't get her way. Presently, she is more calm, can heel, sit, lay down. With Masons help we are become the "alphas" of the house instead of her running the show. We are so so very happy. I would strongly recommend Snug Pet Resort.

Second time in the building but first time in the ...

Second time in the building but first time in the veterinary section and it was AWFUL. When I first arrived it sounded like a zoo behind the closed door. There was so much noise from not only the other dogs but mainly from the workers there. They were hollering and singing much too loudly for a public work place. My poor dog was terrified of that place the second she walked in. There was very little order or professionalism in the clinic or from the workers. I've been to many veterinary clinics and right away I knew there was something off about this one. It just isn't ran properly. They took my dog out into the hallway where all the noise was coming from, and as soon as I looked out there were several other dogs walking right past mine (the hallway is narrow) and she doesn't get along with other dogs so I was worried she would get in a scruff with another one. And the employees didn't even attempt to keep any of the dogs separated! It was such a hectic mess out back, beyond disorderly. They should have planned the layout better than they did. Nothing they can do about that now I guess, except someone (owner of the company) needs to look into their employees because their behaviour was SO UNPROFESSIONAL. The only decent worker was the veterinary assistant. Not only that but the vet himself was ridiculous. He did not have a clue what he was doing or talking about.. He was using Google to find his answers and kept apologizing to me that he couldn't think of a better answer to give me. His approach was not professional at all. He made one or two comments about his ex girlfriend and her dog?? Not only did he come off as an undereducated vet, but the way he treated my dog was the worst of it! Don't get me wrong, he was nice to her, but the poor thing was hiding under the table shaking because she was so scared of the place and he was being so loud as he talked to her, was being rough with her when he would pet her and scruff up her fur, kept making a loud clapping noise with his hands, and was trying to force her out from under the table by pulling her leash. When a dog is THAT SCARED you do not act in such a manner that will scare the dog even more.. common sense!!. He needs to reevaluate his dog handling/veterinary methods. My poor baby ran out of that place so fast. NEVER going back. I also heard from a few different people that their dog trainer is very much into hard discipline and trains in awful ways. I recommend going to a smaller, quieter clinic or training/boarding company. And there's no way I'm the only person who had this kind of experience. It's just the way the place is ran. No way things just happened to go so wrong on that very day I was there. I guarantee if I went back today, the veterinary section at least, would be just as much of a mess as it was last week.

In one week our pup's behaviour was a complete transformation. The trainer was extremely polite and we scheduled many appointments after. The cost is worth it - especially if you're going on a trip and need your pup trained while you are gone.

Had a great experience at Snug, especially w expert, Mason. As a first time dog owner (got my first pup well into adulthood - Ha!), he was adept at training me as well as the pair of young golden doodles we were having issues with on the leash and at home. Now I can take both dogs together on long walks (2-3 miles) with zero stress. So enjoyable. No more unwanted jumping on people AND incessant chewing of shoes, tv remotes or pillows while we are away. Very happy customer. Mason is a dog whisperer!

Better Business Bureau gives Snug "F" grade ---If I went to a Pizzeria and ordered a pizza, I would be disappointed if I was served a recipe for pizza instead of the actual item. If I left my car for service at the auto repair shop, I would be upset if I returned for it and they gave me car parts and a repair manual. I took my dog, Poppy, to Snug for a 10 day training session. Her assigned trainer was Josh M. She already knew how to sit, lay down, shake, and ring some bells I hung by the door. Sadly, when I picked her up, she had learned nothing new. When I came back for my 1st follow-up much like the pizza I was given instructions on how to trainer her at home. When I came back for my 2nd follow-up session, much like the car repair shop scenario, I was given a poky choke chain and instructions on how to use it at home Needless to say I am not very happy to pay $750 for instructions on how to train my dog. I could have gotten those on-line for free. Oddly enough, we had a Scottie trained there three years ago with superior results. But what I didn't learn until this experience; is that they don't feel the need be accountable when it comes to training success. If your dog learns the new "tricks" fine, if they don't - too bad - you are just out of luck.

The staff and trainers are caring and understanding, completely devoted to the pets and families that come through their doors. With a dog often labeled as "aggressive", they were the only boarding care that our family felt comfortable sending our dog to for an extended stay. The 2 month doggy bootcamp has truly saved our dog, and is worth every penny.

MY DOG CAME BACK UNTRAINED AND WITH A RASH. I would not recommend this place. I sent my dog into training and the first time he came back from training they did not work on the issues I asked them to work on. They taught my dog to sit and stay but he couldn't be left alone which is why I paid 2000.00 to get him trained. They took him back for a second training session an d he had to be put on a shock collar they said there was no other way to get him to be able to be left alone but told me I had to pay for the collar. If I paid 2000.00 to get him trained and They couldn't train him without a shock collar I feel they should be paying for the shock collar. I left my dog there for day care after the training so they would continue his training and while I was out of town and he got worms. I thought it was a fluke thing so when I went out of town again I left him at another place and he came back fine. The trainer asked me to leave him again while I went out of town at snug and I did this time he came back with a rash that is spreading all over his body. They told me the visit to get him worked on would be paid for but the medication and tests they had to do to help with the rash I ended up having to pay for. A month after my dog took the medication he still has the rash.

From the moment I started taking my dog Callie to Snug, we felt like family. How often are dogs excited to see their Vet? Happy to be boarded? Enjoy training? Callie, my 4 year old Dalmatian has been going to Snug since she was 6 months old, it started with the Puppy Bootcamp and boarding, and of course the Vet Dr. Ashbaugh. I couldn't be happier with the services they provide and the cost of those services. I've told many of my friends about Snug, and when people are looking for super trainers, boarding and superior veterinary care I don't hesitate to mention Snug or my experience.

I had a wonderful experience with the staff at Snug. They gave me confidence that my little guy would be happy. The trainer Lena was just amazing with him. Our concern was he would not listen to me but would implicitly obey my husband. But after working with Lena, our little guy has understood that I could be his friend and an authority figure..... She was prompt in her weekly report on her progress. She also helped me gain confidence in my dealing with him. Lena helped us understand the right approach to working with coco. Overall Lena is amazing who continues to support as after our session with Snug. We will definitely go back to them for daycare and if we have another pup I am hoping Lena will help us with him/her as well.

Not the same as before -- I have brought my pets here several times over the last 6-7 months and have always been very happy with the service and the way they treat my pets. However, this time, while boarding them for a week, I found that the staff had changed over and they did not know where my pets medications were; my older dog came home with diarrhea, and the dogs were not out in the play yard at all on Easter day. I felt like the whole place was very disorganized. I even paid for an exam of my older dog, who has a large brown spot on her rear-end, and when I called to ask how the exam went, the doctor had not even examined that -- even though that was specifically why I asked for the exam in the first place. If I were you I would watch your pet carefully and make sure they do everything they say they will. Now my older dog is pooping yellow stuff and I might have to take her back (which is over an hour away). The place is extremely expensive and I didn't mind paying because my pets were always happy and healthy and it seemed as if they had people there who really cared about the pets. Now, it seems like everything is in chaos and all they care about is the money. :(

After searching for a good board and train for our wild puppy, my husband and I was referred to Snug Pet Resort by other fellow military family. My husband called and spoke to Mike and set up and initial consultation for us. The day of the consultation my children, our puppy and I arrived to such a nice, clean facility! The outside of the facility was clean and well taken care of. As we walked in we were welcomed by the front desk receptionists who were really sweet and even helped me with my excited pup while we wait for our consultation. We met with the Trainer Mason! Mason was extremely professional, and passionate in what he does. He took us back and we talked about what my husband and I would like our pup to learn etc and he broke down all the programs and we figured out what was the best fit for our pup max. Pricing was affordable and and they offer payment plans if needed. I felt really confident that my pup will be in good hands with Mason here at Snug Pet Resort. Everything looked good and we booked Max for the 3 week board and train with Mason. Mason is an amazing Trainer. Max loved him and he worked really well with him. He is really honest and thorough when it comes to updates. Which my husband and I respected bc we wanted Honest updates when it came to our pup to ensure he got the best training. And he did! We picked up max and he was a whole new pup! Mason worked really hard on our pup and I appreciate it! We were given detailed and specific instructions by the trainer to ensure the process of transition back to our house was smooth as possible and that we will continue to have the best pup Before our pup would not sit on command. I had to repeatedly tell him to sit. On leash he was psycho. He would pull, jump, try to eat his leash, run in front of the stroller, stop completely and was just overall crazy. the fact that I was able to walk my 4 month old puppy and he actually sat on the first command was HUGE. He still needs lots of training as he is still just a big Ol puppy. But proud of my crazy little pup. He will continue training every couple weeks at the resort. Excited for him to learn more and be the best pup he can be. * also they took an adorable Christmas picture bc he was there over the holiday!"

Daycare- You pay a lot of money for a camera yet they don t have a camera for the small dogs when they are outside. They are almost always outside. The competition is just as good, but we use them for the chance of a camera. Please fix and I ll change review. It s not expensive to add a single camera to a basic network please.

Our American Bulldog attended bootcamp working with Lena and we couldn't be happier with the outcome. We know Violet was loved and well taken care of because every time we've gone back for follow-up training, she can hardly contain herself with excitement to see Lena.

Very hard to get in touch with after initial consultation. Though I have not had a chance to use their training services, that is the whole point. After what seemed like a very nice initial conversation and consultation, it has been frustrating to not have any returned phone calls, or text, or email. All seemingly different ways to get ignored.

I had a nice conversation and while I did not sign up right away right then and there, I needed to go home and do some research and see which kind of training we wanted for our dog. I was given the person's cell phone number to text because I was told that would be a good way to communicate. I did follow up with some questions by texting that same day. No answer.

Over the next week, I did call the same cell number and left one message the first time, but the next two times when it went to voicemail, I did not want to leave another message. I also called the facility but as luck would have it, the person was not there that day either.

I also tried to email and called again to make sure I had the right email. No return email.

Too busy for business? Economy must be good for some of us, I guess. This raises a huge flag for me. Professional courtesy says call your customers or customers to be back. Why should I have to pursue so hard for someone to take my money?

Our pup went through the full eight week training course here and came out a different (and far better) dog! She went in a ball of anxiety, distractions, and aggression and came out with a knowledge of commands both on and off leash, far better house manners and behavior in general. Plus we now have a safe and reliable place to board her when we're out of town. Everyone at Snug always greets her and welcomes her when she comes back to visit, and have been supportive in making sure we enforce her ongoing training. Growing up, I did a lot of volunteer work with working dogs, and I've seen tons of dog training styles and techniques as a result. Snug impressed the heck out of me between their trainers' knowledge, their confidence, and patience. They are AMAZING.

this is Doggie DISNEYLAND! The happiest place on earth! ON premises is a vet, vet staff, trainers, groomer and a full size in ground swimming pool. Our dog plays barko polo with all his friends. I always feel confident and safe leaving our dog there with the vet, staff medical facilities and trainers on the premises. Not to mention the worlds best groomer NINA! Moses is in love with her. Boarding is emaculate and comfortable! Take a tour of the place you will be amazed, i'm sure you will see there is no better place for your friends to go.

I wanted to wait until my dog (husky) was done with the 3 week bootcamp to write a review, and so far I am really happy with the results! My trainer is Lena and has taught me so much about my dog the whole process while at bootcamp and the classes after bootcamp. The emails I would receive every week about my pet was amazing just to hear how they were doing. I believe the trainers really care about your needs and wants of your pet (best friend), so make sure you follow your trainers directions to get the results! I was really nervous about taking my dog (whether it would be worth it or not) and overall there was nothing to complain about. I appreciate the staff for their work, especially the vet hospital for taking care of my dog. This place is really rare to find! If you do plan on taking your pet to boot camp I highly recommend it, if you're a little nervous about the price, the bootcamp does come with a monthly payment plan just in case you dont want to pay up front or just a little tight on budget. But please if you have a concern about your pet, take them here and consult with Mike Stone, it will make you and your pet become best friendsi

There are not enough words to express how happy we are with Snug, the staff and especially our trainer David Culp. He turned our rescued wild child into a completely well trained service dog. He worked with us every step of the way and was always available to us when we had questions and concerns. The entire staff is awesome and are always happy to see Riley when we come back for follow up training. Riley loves going back to see Dave as well. Thank you Dave and Snug for giving us the most amazing experience ever!
I wish I could give them more than five stars!

Well, first let me say that our dog is very, very, very spoiled. Spoiled doesn't even begin to describe her I guess. She has her 'human' at home with her all day since I work from a home office. And she has two young boys who shower her with love and attention. That being said, she really, really HATES to go to any resort that doesn't involve her pack being with her. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of caring and support that the staff at SNUG gave her to ease her apprehension. She was definitely crying and chattering to us, but they quickly took her and engaged her outside our view in play to help her transition quickly. Not only eased her tension, but definitely kept two little boys from being super sad hearing her silly cries. And man, oh, man - I LOVED having her come home smelling so super clean and fresh! Thank you for that!! Only negative....after swimming/playing in your pool, she can't pass by a body of without wanting to jump in! So, long and short, for those rare times when we do need a resort, SNUG will always be our resort of choice!

My wife and I recently brought in our 1 1/2 year o...

My wife and I recently brought in our 1 1/2 year old Siberian Husky for training. We are extremely excited with the results. We had trouble with her chewing everything in our backyard from plants to children's toys to patio furniture, laying on the patio table, jumping at the rear door to get in and barking to get our attention when she wanted in or wanted someone to come outside and play. My wife runs an in home daycare and our husky would do pretty good around the kids. When she was trying to play with them she would occasionally knock the kids down accidentally. We took her to a couple training sessions at one of the "box store" pet stores. She did alright there, but nothing was sticking. The problem was that no matter how far you progressed in the training you utilized a clicker and a treat to reward the dog that they had done what you asked correctly. Well Siberian Huskies are very smart and when our dog would notice me or my wife with the clicker in our hand. She would do things no problem and this needed to be corrected.

So we brought her to Snug and met with Toni. We discussed our training issues and went a head with a 3 week training and boarding program. After 3 weeks we have a totally different dog and it's "AMAZING"! Before you would have to tell her more than once to sit, come or down. Now, it's pretty immediate. During this time frame she learned all the basic commands "on leash" and "off leash". We used to take her for walks and she would be walking us. When I take her for a walk now, I tell her to heal and she stays at my left side the entire time. She knows how to vary her speed with mine and it makes it so much easier and delightful for us both. When walking through a door I tell her to sit and wait as I open and walk through the door. She'll remain there until I tell her to come and it's awesome. She sits, stays, down, heals, goes to her bed, waits and leaves it with no problem. Like I said all this "on" or "off"' leash.

I would have never thought in a million years that I could come back from a walk. Put my dog in the down position in my front yard and drop the leash. Telling her down for a second time, walk to my door some 30ft away open it, walk into the house and my dog not move until I call her to come in the house.

I do have to say that at Snug, they can can get your dog where you want your dog to be when it comes to obedience, but it's the over all responsibility of the dog owner to make sure you continue to work with your dog(s). Toni and her training team will tell you the same thing. They do incredible work here and I can't thank Toni for everything she has done training our Husky.

Our beautiful Husky is now one of the most obedient dogs I've ever seen. She does everything we ask, she's even more amazing around the kids as well. Overall our experience here at Snug was unbelievable. Our Husky is happier and more loving and we're able to enjoy her more. I highly recommend Snug Pet Resort!
