Keep driving until you get to the next Nissan dealer

had a nice review but they ruined it in one day. I’ll never step foot back there.
A little to read but to save time, go to any other Nissan dealer!

Unfortunately the tire and wheel coverage we purchased with the new car (we bought two that day) was canceled’. No one knows by who or why. Nothing is in writing that we canceled.

So we left yesterday with no managers to talk to, no resolution from service or anyone.
They simply said we don’t know what happened but you have to buy tires, can you imagine?!
Apparently even a document in writing from them is was scam. Yes, we have one!!

We will take our business to Mavis who always treats us like family.

If the keeps just one of you from buying here, they lose much more than the few dollars for the tires.

I hope the one star resonates during this big weekend!

I recently visited Smithtown Nissan. I was greeted by a very friendly staff and sat down with a salesman to discuss my options. I personally hate going to dealerships by myself, being a woman, but it was going very well. Just as I was thinking how well it was going I was introduced to a manager named Zeus, who seemed harmless...at first. I excused myself to use the ladies room and as I was walking back I heard the manager I had just been introduced to, making some inappropriate comments to the salesman I was sitting with. I don t think he realized I overheard what was said....and he passed a piece of paper to my salesman who seemed immediately humiliated in my presence. I have no idea what was going on but I quickly found an excuse to leave. If the managers are behaving that way, how can I trust him with my business....unfortunately, I would not recommend Smithtown Nissan and I will not be going back!

I must say all the staff working there were very good about following all social distancing guidelines even going so far as to do headcounts to be sure they were in compliance. Also, a nice touch was the squirt of hand sanitizer they give you as you leave the service department. Nicely done Smithtown Nissan Service Department!!!

The people who work at Smithtown Nissan have always, from my very first visit, been welcoming, professional, generous and helpful in every and any way possible. This past week s visit was no exception. The gentleman who registered me even took the time to guide me through a maze of rooms to an elevator up to the waiting lounge and then returned twice to tell me of the status of the work and finally of the completion.

I purchased a used car from this dealership. They had an advertisement that showed the price of the car and said that you can only have that price if you used their financing terms. The terms were 5.9% and $1995 down. What I learned was that $1995 down meant that they would add that to the price of the car. Don't use this dealership They use deceptive tactics and recognize that it isn't fair to the customer. I went back and they admitted that many customers are complaining about this tactic, but they refused to do anything to fix the situation. Don't shop here!

So far, so good! I've now taken 2 different Nissan vehicles which I did not purchase from the dealership to Smithtown Nissan service center and they did the right thing! Recommended exactly what I needed even as I was inquiring about other more expensive services, they steered me in the right direction (no pun intended). Reliable work at a very fair price. Their evening drive in service is so convenient!

I have been a Nissan customer for years, leasing three Nissan vehicles at one time. A lease price was agreed upon and the dealership changed the lease contract amount. They initialed the monthly lease amount change, not me (the buyer. I find the whole process a fraud.

Andy was very helpful. Only one thing that prevented a 10 rating was I had an 8am appt for my car to be serviced. I got there at 845am and they didn't even take my car in until 8:55am. They must have been short staffed but everything else was on the money.

My wife and I just leased our 4th and 5th consecutive vehicles from Smithtown Nissan. The past 12 months had seriously wounded our credit. Joe Urso and all of the fine people there were able to make great deals for the two of us. I'm certain that any other dealer would have shown us the door. Smithtown Nissan showed incredible loyalty to us as returning customers. I'm looking forward to the end of our new leases so that we can have another wonderful experience at Smithtown.

So today I went to Smithtown Nissan to start a new lease. First thing I noticed was how clean and organized it was. Every single staff member had on a mask. I come in and they offered my mother and I water and coffee right off the bat. I wanted a black Sentra and their inventory manager Rich went out of state to get the car I wanted. Even though they were short on inventory of vehicles, Rich and the sales manager Joe made sure I got the car I wanted at the same price. They sat my mother and I down to meet our sales associate Dustin and what a friendly and genuine guy. Even with a mask on you can see he s always smiling and positive. He quickly broke down all of the info we needed about my new vehicle and even came back later on to reassure us and answer our questions. After our time with Dustin we went to Ali for the financial side, or as it usually goes the scary side. Or so I would have thought, but similar to Dustin she was very assuring and patient with us and all of our questions. She took the time to make sure we knew what we were signing and why, which I found to be refreshing because the process can be intimidating. Once we had signed everything I went to go smoke a cigarette outside when Joe the sales manager came up to me just to make sure I was confident and had no further questions, in the POURING RAIN. Honestly had a fantastic experience at Smithtown Nissan I look forward to going back there for all of my maintenance and my next lease.

Great experience with my trade and purchase. James was a very helpful salesman. We took a long test drive and went over alot of features. We actually downgraded from a Platinum Armada to an SL. we saved some money and still got most of the features we wanted. BTW....dont ever go to Nissan 112 they are the worst. Go to Smithtown instead. Better people and much bigger selections of stock vehicles.

I just moved to Ronkonkoma, and I always had my car serviced at Garden City Nissan. I needed an inspection, plus I have another minor issue, so I called Smithtown Nissan to make an appointment. I was told they don't make appointments, just come before 6:00 M-F or 4:00 on Saturday. Fine. I went over there today about 11:00. After having to ask where to wait for service, I parked there and sat. And sat. And after at least five minutes no one even acknowledged my presence. I left. I will drive an hour to go to Garden City Nissan, where they know how to treat their customers.

I bought my wife s 2019 Rogue from Riverhead Nissan. It wasn t the most pleasant experience but spoke with management (Francois, the sales manager) after the sale and felt comfortable with the dealership. Late on Saturday, the check engine light went on and my wife asked me to have the car serviced. I went on line and scheduled an appointment for Monday morning. The site said that I would receive a confirmation, which I never received. Before I left to bring the car in, I phoned the dealership to confirm my appointment. I spoke with a young lady, Sabrina, in service, and she told me that I didn t receive confirmation because they couldn t do the check engine light until a week from Tuesday. However, if I brought my car in, they could change the oil. I was annoyed and said that the light was important and required immediate attention. She was not swayed to help. I said thank you and that I would take the car to another dealership. She said fine .

Now for the meat of this review. I called Smithtown Nissan and spoke with a senior service representative, Jim Fern. I told him that I did not purchase the car from his dealership, but asked for help with this problem. He told me that this was not a problem. He asked me if I could bring the car down to him today and I said yes. He told me that I would have to leave the car with him, but he would give me a dealership car until mine was repaired. I brought my car down, met Jim, and was pleased by his courtesy, politeness, but above all, his professionalism. He methodically took all the necessary information and explained all of the possibilities. He promised and DID call and text me when my car was done (about 4 hours after dropping off my car). While I understand that this is the way a service center is supposed to work, it seldom is. The entire staff, the young man tasked with selecting a loaner car of equal type of my car, the young lady (brenda?) tasked with insurance verification for the loaner, were pleasant, professional, courteous.

I left in the loaner car with the the nagging feeling that this dealership should be the poster boy for how a dealership should be. Again, all dealerships should be like this, but unfortunately they are not.

A car that they did not sell, they serviced as if I owned the dealership. After telling my wife this story, my wife said that the next time I have the car serviced at Smithtown Nissan, I should have them remove the Riverhead Nissan license plate frame and replace it with a Smithtown Nissan frame. I will do that and proudly display it.

Yes,again, they did their job, but they did it properly. I will now only buy and service my cars at Smithtown Nissan, they earned this.

The entire staff is wonderful, friendly and helpful, jim from service was great in helping me go over to sales to explore my options in buying a new Nissan. Kenny was very honest and direct in what my options were, and you can tell they really do try to get you the best deal and aren t trying to rip you off or force you into buying anything. They found me the perfect car with even more features than I had even imagined having in a car. They were very willing to answer any of my questions and spent a lot of time helping me make the best decision. This location specifically makes you feel very at home and comfortable about getting a new vehicle. This is the third Nissan I ve purchased and I would honestly recommend them to anyone. They cleaned my car beautifully and explained all of the new features so that I felt comfortable taking it home. Thank you Kenny for my beautiful new Altima, and for being so nice and helpful throughout the entire experience! He was not the "typical" pushy car salesman and actually gave me the best price that he possibly could and I left there very happy. My five star is only for their amazing spacious lounge /waiting room, and for not having to wait all day to know what's wrong with my car...

I tried making an appointment by a few Nissan dealers in the city, none were able to commit to a timetable of how long it will take to do the diagnostics, so I decided to call, and give them a try, so to make it short and to the point, after 45 minutes they called my name and we're done with the diagnosis, I know it's a simple thing, but the Nissan in Bay Ridge, or in other places couldn't commit, or would deliberately lie, so you should bring your car in, and then they will try to sell anything and everything, (as I experienced with the bay Ridge one)
So to see a place that seemed punctual and didn't try any tricks on me was refreshing! And yes their lounge has free sandwiches, snacks, and free coffee, so the waiting time went by really fast.

I had a great experience at this dealership. They were always very efficient and was willing to work with everything i wanted. If they did not have a car i wanted in stock they were willing to find it! Any changes i requested on the car before purchasing they took care of. They were very cooperative and even called me to make sure i was happy with my purchase! I would highly request this dealership for any future purchases. I went into the dealership In July of 2012 after a friend telling me she had spoken to someone there and could get me the vehicle I wanted at the price I could afford. I didn't think it was possible after seeing the online prices. Sure enough I got exactly what I wanted at the right price. The salesman(Rich) was wonderful! He was super friendly and explained everything in detail. The finance manager was also very nice and extremely helpful. They both made leasing my Rogue a great experience and I have recommended Smithtown Nissan to many people since!

I ve been to a lot of dealerships but I have never came across a team like Joe Urso and his staff at Smithtown Nissan have who work as hard as they do to comfortably get you into the vehicle you want to. They aren t pressuring as my salesman Keith was great and after he passed it off to Joe to work in the number you can see he is a man of his craft. Great experience overall. I ll def be back and recommending them to all.
