UPDATE 23/11 5.30pm...taken aback by the owner's somewhat rude response (and actually not just to me but several dissatisfied customers) a simple Companies House search shows the Director of this business previously was the Director of Smart Choice 786 Ltd. which was compulsorily struck off at Companies House.

UPDATE 23/11 5.10pm... and rather than apologise for the inconvenience and the 20minutes waiting for someone to answer the phone the owner decides to insult to customer.

I'm trying to get something to sent to Europe..."call us for info" they say. Erm....

May I suggest you focus your energies on your customer service rather than insulting potential customers.

Smart Teck that has an unsmart chatbot that links to broken an unsmart contact us link that has an unsmart owner who thinks good customer service is not apologising for inconvenience but instead having a go at the potential customer.

The Tenda Nova is an amazing piece of kit. This wifi system solves all the problems associated with weak wifi signals around the property. It is extremely easy to set up, taking around 15 minutes to complete, coverage is excellent and seamless, meaning you can move around the property whilst maintaining a constant strong signal. UPDATE: I just noticed the owner is trying to claim my review being fake, which I suppose is another low-light in my experience with Smart Teck. I'd suggest spending their energy on actually honoring the 24hr delivery commitment rather than going to war with their customers in online forums.

DAY 4: Equipment was eventually delivered 76 hrs (3 days and 4 hours) after I placed the order. Disappointing given that I paid for next-day delivery. The owner suggests this is due to 1 bank holiday in between. Customer service via phone was completely broken - with one exception, they just didn't answer when I called. Email seemed to work better, however finding the right email address was tricky. What they ultimately delivered was however solid, and I suppose that's most important, even though it was late.

DAY 2: It's now 31 hours after purchase and still no sign of my delivery.

On the positive side, I finally did manage to get through to their customer support though. At the very least, it seems the company is legit and actually does exist (I was quite worried for a while). Disappointingly however, it seems no action has yet been taken on my order.

DAY 1: Just placed a rather expensive order before checking their reviews (silly me!). When I call with followup questions I get put in a queue, which disconnects after 10 min. Happens repeatedly - they probably just aren't answering... Tried the other number for complaints - got an "inbox full" message letting me know I couldn't leave any more messages. There seems to be no way to get in contact with them, despite them supposedly being open.

Getting quite nervous now... I really hope I didn't just lose a lot of money on a scam.. Regardless, not at all impressed with customer service so far. I suppose it's salvageable if they honor their 24hr delivery commitment... we'll see I guess....

Still waiting for a response to my query as to correct product or not. I wouldn't use this organization as they appear bogus.

Poor communication

They accepted my order online and then sent me an email the next day telling me it is out of stock! Why would you take my money then!

Tried to call them and I was put on hold for an hour long, I had to hang up as I was getting fed up of waiting!

Avoid at all costs!

Message to retailer - I made the order just last night, you need to update your system and show that the product is OUT OF STOCK!
Instead of taking my money for no damn reason!

UPDATE: I can see the owner has replied stating it was only delivered 2 days ago, this is incorrect, the order was delivered 7 days ago.

I also see they are claiming I didn't give them 3 business days to reply, this is false, they have had over 5 business days to respond to my original query.

They have since emailed me stating they've never seen any emails from me, yet replied quoting a different PayPal account that they would only be able to reference if they had read my original email and seen the order number.

This is deeply unprofessional.

I purchased a be quiet Dark Power Pro 12 power supply from them, unfortunately it was sent with the wrong UK power plug, meaning that I cannot use it.

I have tried contacting them by phone, using the online contact form and by email and have had no response in over a week.

After doing more research, it appears this is a common problem, SmartTeck will ignore any emails, phone calls or support requests that raise any issues or concerns.

If you look on Google, Trust Pilot and other review websites, the owners will feign ignorance by claiming it's not their problem and you have to contact the manufacturer for support, or they will claim you are a fake account looking to damage their business.

This is also contrary to what their website states, which says you have 30 day 'hassle free' returns to return a product for a replacement, refund, or additional support.

It is also illegal under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, which states consumers have 14 days to return items to the place of purchase for a refund, replacement, or additional support.

I have since resorted to just buying the necessary cable that is required, it should be here in a few days and hopefully the power supply will work and there won't be any further issues.

Thankfully, I paid with PayPal, so if there is an issue, I will be able to dispute the payment and get my money back.

If you do buy from SmartTeck, which I would advise against, expect no customer support in the event of an issue, not even a ticket number or generic no-reply email acknowledging your support request has been received.

I would also strongly recommend that if you do purchase from SmartTeck, use PayPal or a credit card, that way you have PayPal's buyer protection or can issue a chargeback or make a claim under Section 75 on a credit card.

I always try and support smaller businesses if I can, and unfortunately SmartTeck is a small business I will now be avoiding.

Finally, I realise SmartTeck will probably reply to this review stating that I've never ordered from them, that I have the wrong company or they will reply stating I'm some fake account who is trying to damage their business.

I've provided a screenshot of my order, with personal information redacted of course.

Dishonest company... I purchased a router that came With a mesh point, not long after I made my purchase, the company changed the items picture and description and them messaged me saying the item DIDN T come with the additional mesh point. When I messaged back saying that I had ensured it did come with the mesh point by double reading the item description, I didn t get a reply from the company for a few days. I messaged again confirming that it came with the mesh point to get a message back saying the item was out of stock and they cancelled my order. They point blank refused to honour the sale they had made. Even if they had said that they had made a mistake at priced it up wrong and that I would need to add more money, fair enough, but I wasn t even given the choice. I cancellation went down as myself the seller chose to cancel.

Avoid at all cost that silly company.
I bough a faulty laptop and tried to contact customer service for a week with no results.
Nobody pick up the phone (plenty voice messages left) nobody replies on emails. Finally I make a claim on my credit cart to cancel the payment and few hours later finally they send me an email (picture below) rude e-mail send at 22.18 (in theory the customer service work till 5.30PM but if you freeze your payment they can make an exception).
This e-mail is a proof how unprofessional that company is and if you buy something from them you can forgot about warranty and any support. It is also against the terms & conditions of returns on their website.

Will not communicate or respond if there are issues, but will badger you to leave a review. They are small-time marketplace sellers, they don't even qualify as a real retailer. It's fine if you receive your items in good order, but do not expect them to lift a finger if there is an issue. At all. They are affiliates (or sister companies) with computersdeal.co.uk - who operate at the exact same standards, so I recommend avoiding these 2 companies at all costs, and part your money at more reputable and well-resourced retailers. All the spiel on their websites on great service etc. are not only complete lies, they are also badly-written English. I leave you to make your own conclusions.

I bought a laptop from smart teck, but laptop is faulty and this is where the problem is getting worse. Customer service doesn't exist I tried to call them many times everyday from two different phones. I sent e-mails and contact forms on their website, still nothing after a week.
If you decide to buy something from that silly company be prepared to get product without warranty and you are not able to return it when its faulty.

Ordered a joystick from here at the start of the week paying extra for next-day delivery. No confirmation received on email but money taken from my account. Eventually two days later an email saying the order is shipped, no tracking details despite paying extra for it and now clearly well beyond next day delivery.
I've called numerous times, left messages, left messages on their online form and no response. This company is fraudulent and I'm now in the process of doing a chargeback against them and will be reporting them to trading standards.
Looking at other reviews on here it looks like a very dodgy company which takes your money and does not supply goods.

Package eventually arrived, was not sent via tracking at all so the response from the owner is a complete lie, no tracking information was sent to me, in fact the only communication I've had from this company is an email saying order received and another one a few days later saying shipped (with no tracking details)

I paid for next day delivery. If you know you cannot honour this then don't charge people for it.

I called you 8 times across three days, no one replied, your phone's just go to answerphone.

I used your online contact us form three times, no one replied.

I even found one of your owners via Facebook and messaged them, no one replied.

Your company is appalling at replying to customers, charges them for a service you cannot provide and accuses reviewers of being fake.

PS - the box containing my order was heavily damaged.

My review stays in place, yes the item eventually turned up (a week later despite paying for next day delivery)

No response to numerous phone calls and messages to this company.

I bought a monitor from eBay, the item is excellent, was received even faster than anticipated. Since then I am trying to contact the seller, eBay, email, phone, and nothing for over a week now. All I want is an invoice. Inexistent customer service makes my review a 1*. This was addressed by the seller, explaining that they were slow due to COVID 19. Update: three months down the line, I am happy with the monitor, it was received fast, works as expected, so 5 stars review.

Ordered items from eBay which were delivered but were completely the wrong ones! I phoned them only to have someone answer and say they were a roofing company! Phoned again and this time got through (same guy who answered before) all I got was excuses as why different items were sent but was told to return the items and I would get a refund. They then issued an e cheque through PayPal which was then pending for a few days before it was cancelled by them. I had no choice but to involve eBay who refunded the money within 30 mins, I have never delt with a company with such low standards and I would recommend anybody stays well away from them! Absolutely terrible service. PLEASE NOTE THIS IS NOT A FAKE REVIEW 100% REAL USE THIS COMPANY AT YOUR OWN PERIL.

Bought a "New, unused and unopened" monitor that once received, had obviously been used as it had fingerprints and scratches. It even had a handwritten note inside the box to say that the headphone jack was faulty. When I raised my concern with them, their email said simply that I should return it and "Good luck finding another one at that price". No apologies or compromise. Then, I had to get eBay involved in the refund process as they delayed the money. A complete headache of a seller, poor customer service and a product sold under false pretense.

Honestly, this appalling company doesn't even deserve one star! I have had the worst customer service and when they finally replied to an email it was so rude, unhelpful and lied but those emails stopped being received after I had proof that they had received a refund from DPD that I claimed for and kept it themselves along with the money I had already paid to them! 4 long months after I placed my order, I've finally received a refund from Paypal after sending PayPal all the messages from smartTeck and proof from DPD. Still haven't received an email from them! PLEASE DON'T BUY FROM THESE SCAMMERS!!!!!!!!!

The correct memory arrived within 48 hours, instructions to fit it were simple and easily understood. SmartTeck is a top class place I always go to for my computing needs because: 1) They have a wide selection of products that are quality, 2) the service is fair, if somethings faulty or you need help they are willing but they do expect you to research what you buy and work with them, 3) prices are competitive, 4) delivery and packaging is excellent.

I have bought from them since 2015 and will continue to. Give them a try!

Placed an urgent order and paid for 24 hour delivery for it to arrive 5 days later. When the order didn't arrived tried continually to get through to customer service but the lines were either engaged or rang out. I posted a review on TrustPilot and despite submitting the order number and my name (which is shared with SmartTeck) they reported the review as fake. No contact from SmartTeck nor explanation or apology for the delays and no refund of the the 24 hour delivery charge. I have now provided TrustPilot with documentary evidence of when the order was placed, that 24 hour delivery was paid for and the dispatch notification but buyer beware. 10 days later and I still haven't been able to get through to arrange a refund of the 24 hour delivery charge - the line is either engaged or you are left on hold for hours.

A genuine company wants to talk to their client's and learn from negatives, this company can't be contacted and report negative reviews as fake.

Unhelpful company and extremely rude staff sent goods to wrong address. The blame customer then refused to deal with courier and demanded customer done it finally got damaged and defective goods still there trying to avoid refunding.
They pretend to be running from a business unit 11 it's actually a unit it is a number of a domestic house one address they use on ebay appears to be a NHS bloodbank.
I advise you Avoid this company at all costs due atrocious customer service.

I am just writing this review to get their attention; I purchased a SSD from their website but after the payment got collected the page crashed. The money got taken out of my account but I received no confirmation email. I tried calling their number several times to get this resolved but haven't gotten a response yet. Hoping for a quick response and resolution of this problem. Once this has been resolved I will adjust my rating.

Edit: Still haven't heard from them 36 hours after I ordered the package

Edit: I haven't heard anything from them after 2 weeks, which is unacceptable. Even in these circumstances they should provide information. I advise everyone to avoid them AT ALL COSTS.

Also, they will most likely comment this with 'fake review' bla bla bla like they have many others. More likely the positive reviews are the fake ones. You see I am a local guide and have put out many reviews. I am not targeting their business, I merely just want my money back or the product that they promised.

Do not order from these people!!

I ordered a projector from them on the 13th of September 2 days later I received a big box containing a big industrial light fitting.

I tried to contact them to make them aware of this but had no reply from countless calls and emails for over 2 weeks
I raised a dispute with paypal and then escalated to a claim

Seller then finally agreed to a return but provided me with a different address to the one they have registered with pay pal
Because of thisthe case is still ongoing even tho they have my money and the returned product.

Spend your money elsewhere as this company is very dodgy and seem to be experienced scammers.

Smart teck if you are reading this inform paypal that you have received the return and refund my money!

This is a disgusting way to do business.

Absolute Scammers. DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE. Unless you want to throw money away. Ordered a new graphics card with 24 hour DPD delivery. Was ordered on a Friday so was hoping for a Monday delivery, Tuesday at the latest. Rec'd an email the Monday morning to say they were cancelling the order as the item was out of stock. They have since had the item show as in stock on the website MULTIPLE times. They said they issued a refund but my bank has no trace of such thing. No refund transaction number, no time frame on the refund. Can't contact via phone as it just plays two tracks on loop for 15 mins and then goes to voicemail. Can't email as there's no response. Again, avoid this shambolic excuse of a company. If I don't get my money back I will take this to court because that's the only way to shut these scam companies down.

EDIT:
As you can see the company has responded with a copy paste response. They haven't emailed me at all. Also, I have spoken to my bank who do not even see a refund pending. Also to note. I left the same review on Trusted Pilot to which I got an email where the company has stated they haven't had any dealings with me. I hope they look forward to receiving my N1 form. PS, I'm a civil servant working for the courts and they've unwittingly just given me a tonne of evidence.
