The worst law firms I have ever seen the case worker replies to your email after 3 months they are very slow and you can never speak to the case worker over the phone theo over flow team.always answer the phone and they never get back.to .

Thank you to Edmund Young and his team. I received a first class service from start to finish. It took over 2 years but a result was achieved, nothing moves quickly in the legal world, especially during COVID.
Edmund on our first meeting explained how it works and what can be expected going forward. When there was complications he and his team got on with them & sorted it. They gathered the evidence and did what was needed to get the result. I received good communication via email and phone, however when post was involved it would take several days to happen.
Overall it was an excellent service and when COVID is over, and I can safely get back to London there will be a large glass of red for you Edmund to say thank you.

Please please please avoid. I added my husband to my mortgage deed which took them 5 months. They have been slow, unprofessional, not responded to requests (emails, calls, complaints) we had to chase EVERYTHING. If Bhavika Kerai, Sara Wakefield, Adam Haygarth deal with you then bad luck. We complained on numerous occasions and the company lacked in any response to resolve the matter. I would not want anyone else to go through what we had to. Wish we had researched that particular department. Can relate to all the negative complaints on here. Not sure why we got bad service. In process of going to the ombudsman.

Best family solictors .... after years of battling with my ex wife, I've had a fair share of experiences with solictors that have just wasted my money and not given the Protection me and family needed ....until I found Slater and Gordon's they are far best solictors in the country .... Samantha Farndale was consistent and honest about the whole process of child custody which was a very difficult time for me and my family. She is very professional and is a fantastic solicitor. For years Ive had constant problems with my ex wife and her being the birth mother was always used against me and me being the father ... my ex wife used my child constantly as a weapon and was very close in giving up and heading into depression. Samantha then came along and also recommended the best barrister for me Rachel Cooper. Rachel is also amazing and her performance at court was exceptional. I got full custody of my child and got a non molestation order despite them saying for Father s it's hard. Also the courts banned my ex wife for taking any matter to court for three years!!! Samantha and Rachel reassured me and my wife through out the difficult 8 months and they supported us through it. Thank you for everything and I will definitely be using you again if need be ( hope not ) well worth the money. I wish I used them in the beginning as I don't believe I would of been in that mess in the first place.

Trying to sell a flat and S+G acted as the buyer's solicitor. Worst experience ever. Solicitor was slow responding or MIA. Kept sending over the same queries even tho they were answered months ago, multiple times. It added so much pressure to the buyer and made the seller having to pay more running costs purely due to their incompetence. Not recommended!

I was fortunate enough to chose Slater & Gordon lawyers. Tracey Benson, who worked on my case was outstanding. Despite being a very difficult PI case lasting some years she persisted in working to achieve the best outcome for me. It was quite clear she was advise me based on my own best interests. Highly recommended if you have the misfortune to be injured!

I cannot recommend Deborah Casale and her team highly enough. She was friendly, efficient, and effective - although of course I wish I had not needed her help, it was a pleasure to watch an expert in action!

I have started the conveyancing with them(manchester-branch) almost three-months ago , but I have struggling to get the response for each query I sent to them.
Most of the time , I had to e-mail them but I have had no response at all.

When I call my case worker , she always says that she would do it and send to me the appropriate response but I never received e-mails on time.

I still have not had my searches report though I start this process three months ago. Mean while seller-solicitor is moving fast and they are very eager to finish off this process asap.

Now I am bit scared that I will loose this property because of my case worker's irresponsible.

I will never ever go with them when I buy next property.

I even have made complaint to the 'clientcare' team as it has been requested. But I have had no response for more than 3 weeks from any of their staff.

Can some one please suggest me if I can take any legal action as I lost money and valuable time with them.

Most unprofessional law firm in the UK. Their approach to obtain clients is extremely aggressive, but once you have signed a contract they simply fail to follow through and let cases drag on for ages so they can keep billing people without doing any extra work. Some of their lawyers have a very narrow, extremely limited understanding of UK law, and they often either forget or deliberately fail to follow through on the work they say they are going to do - I had to keep chasing them for evidence that they had submitted documents, and also to keep a log of the information submitted. They are currently being investigated by the Legal Ombudsman. Stay safe and go to anyone else!

My ex wife is working with Kaleel. We have no children and what should be fairly simple has become extraordinarily difficult. No response to letters, monthly long waits for return to formal documents (petition, acknowledgement of service) and divorce proceedings unresolved 5 months down the line; although initial letter indicated out of court resolution and quick exchange of form E's. I am on the other side and do not know all the details on her side, but I paid enough already and nothing has been done. I am concerned for the service and advice given.

I contacted Katrina McKay from Slater & Gordon when my son (24) received two speeding fines within 3 days. Engineering works had just started on the stretch of motorway close to our home, with new variable speed cameras set up. These roadworks/speed cameras are to be in place for around 2 years. We were extremely concerned that these speeding fines would continue arriving in the post like confetti!

I spoke with Katrina who expertly guided me through the process, telling me what documents I needed to respond to and the ones to not respond to.

I am very happy to report that the speeding fines timed out and were subsequently written off.

My son has learned a very valuable lesson - yes, those big yellow variable speed cameras do work! He is extremely happy to still have a clean driving licence. All thanks to Katrina who was very pleasant, easy to talk to and responded promptly to calls and emails.

The service I received has been appauling. They take around 4-5 weeks to respond to basic emails and questions. They also didn't respond to the vendors solicitors questions.

I like paying 3 times the orignal quoted amount whilst also having to manage your own case then they're the law firm for you.

I implore anyone thinking of using them to go elsewhere!!

I was assigned Helen Tran as my solicitor for a property purchase and I HAD NO IDEA LAW FIRMS CAN BE THIS BAD. Absolute failure to communicate and no effort to progress at all.

Extremely poor service. They do everything they can to get you to sign a contract but as soon as you do, they ignore you and move on to the next business development goal. They used to have a terrible reputation and they have started posting fake reviews to make themselves look better. AVOID, AVOID, AVOID!!!

DO NOT USE FOR HOUSE CONVEYENCING! Abysmal service.

Failed to make sure i completed due to basic mistakes on a form. Impact has been over a weeks delay to completion. Can't ever get hold of them at the best of times, but has been particularly bad during this period of incompetence.

I was promised that they would confirm that everything was on track for the new completion date, but heard nothing so now going Into the bank holiday weekend stressed.

They have no basic sense of how to prioritse work and have a laissez-faire approach to everything, resulting in feeling like you need to babysit them through the process.

I'm still not confident they've sorted my case, anticipating another week of incompetence and frustration.

Save your money, go elsewhere.

Constantly have to chase and even then you still do not get a response. We have not had a single update since we completed our initial documents and paid the first fee nearly a month ago. We have sent numerous emails and tried to call so many times. Even raised a complaint and that hasn't been responded to either. Would not recommend for purchasing a house at all.

I instructed Remziye Ozcan from Slater and Gordon on a very complicated Employment Matter which went on for sometime. Remziye was absolutely excellent, was prompt with all communications, engaged with others when needed to gain advice and was great at managing costs which was appreciated. My father was diagnosed with mesothelioma (lung cancer due to asbestos poisoning) and I contacted Slater and Gordon to see if they could help with any claim that could be made. They were totally professional in their approach. They visited my father while he was alive and established his full work history trying to establish where he could have been exposed to asbestos throughout his working life. They made recommendations regarding help that was available both medically and financially. They managed to obtain grants that helped to make his final months easier. The team tried to locate the firms that my father worked for that were responsible for his illness. It was established that these firms were no longer in operation so they then tried to locate the insurance companies that these firms dealt with. Although we could not locate these insurers S and G made a claim on our behalf via the government which proved successful.
The lawyer and his team that dealt with me after my fathers death were passionate in their response and really wanted to help, you felt that they would never give up until a satisfactory result was obtained and in our case that was exactly what happened.
I would thoroughly recommend S and G for any matter requiring a top legal team.

You will get contacted various amount of times initially but once you have signed up you will be lucky to get an update on your case. Constantly been chasing them to no avail. If only I could go back in time I would choose a local small firm where you are likely to have a more personable experience and your case won t end up in the back of the cupboard. Wouldn t recommend

Slater Gordon breached all legal probity by entering my name on papers against my express instructions. I received repeated unauthorised emails. My emails to them and their complaints department went unanswered. When I phoned up, I could not speak to anyone and was promised return calls which never came. Over a year of trying to get them to remedy their error, I managed to get just two return calls. I was misled, lied to and ignored, and finally sent an email threatening me with legal costs if I didn't complete paperwork which I should never have been sent.

I am not some nutcase with a grudge, just an ordinary person who became entangled in their inefficient system by their mistake. It took a year to get the matter sorted and an apology. The compensation of a few quid for the hours and hours I spent trying to sort this has never arrived.

Slater Gordon do not have systems in place to deal with errors on their part - not systems that work, or that anyone cares about, anyway. Their customer service is, in my experience, non-existent.

If i could give this company one star i honestly would. the 25% cap is nonsense since my settlement had additional charges which works out to be 40% of the actual settlement. They did not take my case seriously at all and kept passing my case to to over 4 people. the duration of the case took over a year to handle and i was forced to make a decision that didn't benefit me what so ever. Please stay away from this company and find a alternative. Very unhappy customer and wished i used a different company.

They are Rubbish and money making machines. Offer no win no fee first then demand money to investigate matter to accept a claim. People are left in the hands of paralegals and non-lawyers. You will never have chance to speak to a Solicitor.

Do not use for conveyancing, they sign you up after a sales call then heard nothing from them after. I had to cancel the conveyancing and change lawyers. Wasted a week of my process.
