Took a while to sort my problem out but it all came together and worked out well in the last few weeks thanks to a young lady called Catherine Clayson who took control of my claim and dealt with it super efficiently. Always easy to contact and prompt with her replies.

This company is the definition of a chicken farm ...... 700000 customers on a claim too many customers not enough staff , i signed up to the vw emmisions claim to my regret.
The online portal will waste 30 minutes of your life then slater and gordon will continue to request the same documents and information you have already supplied them for months on end .
Dont bothing ringing slater and gordon no one in the office knows what there doing. Ive phoned 4 times to be fobbed off by so called claims handler who knows nothing about the details of the claim or why the internet portal has not worked properly since its launch

I have had over 5 solicitors and each time the solicitor has been changed NO ONE has contacted me to let me know.
My case has been ongoing for over two years! Trying to settle the case and sent a email to my solicitor to find he's left the company!
Not happy with a service at all... Firstly, when I came to their offices for a meeting reception downstairs could not get hold of any of them and i had to wait for 30 min wondering what is going on. Secondly, I received other persons invoice with a description on the matter, which is super unprofessional! it should be highly confidential. And on top of that they said all my fees were paid and then start to chaise me for additional payments because they forgot to charge me for additional day.... seriously... there is plenty other law companies who are more professional.
Oh OK, well where do I begin, Phoned this company for free advice as that is what I was told, I called them and they told me to phone another number, this number turns out to be a 50 Pence a minute, so end of month I have very large phone bill, I qestioned it with my phone company and am told its a company called Nelson on line..So I say be very carful what and who you call, or you will be scammed...bad company
The initial case was okay from December to May we came to a settlement but now it's been a week and Slater and Gordon have still not given me my settlement fee.
It's annoying having to chase up for something which should have been transferred the day they received it.

AVOID! Appointed to manage personal injury claim, Legal Advisors lack knowledge, require constant chasing, legal advisors do not answer emails or calls , complaints team do not answer emails or calls. I am genuinely astounded at the very poor service I have received. I have now had no contact at all for a number of weeks and have been forced to register a complaint with the legal ombudsman. UPDATE 15/09/20 following on from posting this review and receiving a response I have emailed Customer Care and await further contact.

I had called many Solicitors firms and had initial conversations with them but after talking to David Woodward at Slator Gordon s Solicitors and having him look at my case it gave me great confidence at a very low point in my life. I only write reviews, when I feel something needs to be said.
So to put things in to context, I have looked at the 273 reviews logged with the London Office. 64 logged reviews (23%) give 1 star, while 186 logged reviews (68%) give 5 stars. Given that the range is 5 stars, two of the ratings capture 91% of the reviews, obviously with 5 stars having nearly 3 times more than the one star.
However, it is the one star reviews I delve in to, to get my context. There is a common theme running through these reviews. I also was told, "S&GL are ambulance chasers", "too expensive", along with other negative comments.
I googled the top 5 Employment Law firms in London and sent out communications to them over the weekend, in anticipation of a Monday response. One actually responded to me on a Sunday and we spoke on the Monday. He clearly was a Cowboy, when we spoke. The others did not even bother responding.
I then reached out to S&GL on the Monday and was dealt with immediately.
The Call centre were polite, patient and efficient. They clearly explained the process to me. They then confirmed who they would be allocating to me.
My situation was managed by Remziye Ozcan. You can look up the team on their website.
I then got more than my 15 minute free chat with Remziye and we then arranged to meet in person.
My point here is, you need to invest the time to understand what and who you are dealing with, to make an informed decision. Unfortunately it will cost, but you still have the option to walk away.
Remziye was in no way aggressive, but patient, empathetic and sympathetic to my situation and laid out my legal options as well as how long it may take and what the potential costs would be.
In my world, she was very professional in her dealings.
As the clients, we are in effect in control and have to give them the instructions to act.
Remziye had the matter resolved in less than 2 months and communicated consistently throughout the process. She even got my Legal Fees paid for.
Hence why I am giving 5 stars.

I have 30 years experience in law & never have I been so shocked by the blatant mishandling, misrepresentation & complete incompetence of Remziye from Slater & Gordon. Further, her supervisor seemed equally disinterested & just focused on taking fees from clients. They are unethical & a complete disgrace to law. Be warned, for someone that doesn't know law, they will con you easily.
I asked this firm to look at a potential claim against GSK concerning MEDICATION I had taken. After going through the time and trouble of making out a timeline, I quickly received a response saying that they could not go forward with my claim about SURGERY I had received.

Patrick Maguire has been absolutely FANTASTIC
Patrick and his team of barrister Dominic and secretary Jennifer have looked after me with the type of care and support you usually only get from family and close friends.
I was involved in a RTC of which I still have no recollection.
Patrick took on my case and managed to secure for me a substantial and reasonable financial settlement.
Not only this ,during my rehab he secured for me the best physiotherapist and prosthetics ,care of pace rehabilitation. Which in itself cost a substantial amount of money.
He kept me informed throughout all of the case as to what was happening and what we wanted to happen next. He was always easy to contact if I was confused about things and always reassuring.
If you are unfortunate enough to find yourself in a similar situation to myself, then I cannot recommend Patrick Maguire enough.

Utterly appalling service with regards to House Conveyancing.
I have used Slater and Gordon for many years, transitioning to them when they took over Russell, Jones and Walker.
They have carried out work for me with regards to work issues, personal injury and dealt with my divorce. All of which were dealt with well.
However...... Dear god, I suggest nobody uses them for Conveyancing. You can't get hold of anyone, they are unresponsive to emails, we have had correspondence relating to other people's matters senttsent to us, there appears to be a massive disconnect between lawyers and back office staff.
Really, I could not recommend them less, and it is honestly disappointing to have to right such a negative review for a company I had built up a significant level of trust in over the past decade or so.
Avoid.
Save yourself stress and time and use a local firm, it may cost more, but given this experience I will never use them again.

For everyone reading the reviews, this is the level of service to expect.
I don't know where to start, my case is about to go to pre trial and my representative at slater Gordon in the serious injury dept and my barrister are not ready to represent me. I have been sent documents dealing with the case details that are full of inaccuracies, that I have tried to get them to listen and correct. My barrister has not spoken to me and its now 5 days to pre trial. He has suggested I "give in" as we see going to loose the case. Isn't it his job to build my case. Its taken 5 years to get to this point and 11 different people from slater Gordon, including supervisors as I got no where and asked to speak to them at various times when no-one was listening. I'm now on my 8th case handler because they kept leaving not to mention that it took 3 years to get under the right department. All I wanted was justice for an RTA that has left me with a life changing brain problem. When your own side can't even represent you and specialist take 8 months to produce a report after examining you, which is then used against you in the case because its not accurate because he wrote it so long after seeing you, I don't have any faith. I will be going to court to have my case heard as its the only way I feel I can be heard and explain what happened to me. slater Gordon I will be reporting you to the ombudsman as like others there where weeks and weeks where nothing happened unless I chased it. I have almost every email I sent to all the case handlers and I will be asking an Independant expert to review my case. When it's all finished as I feel I need to understand what went wrong and am owed an apology You have really let me down. If I could give no stars I would be.

Appointed them for conveyancing services then heard nothing. Numerous voicemails and emails went unanswered. Called the main switchboard number and was cut off on more than one occasion. It was literally impossible to get hold of the person who was supposedly dealing with our case.
In the end we appointed other solicitors. Slater & Gordon did not even acknowledge my email to them asking to close the case and remove our details from their database.
I found Slater + Gordon on an internet search to select a firm with the skills needed for my circumstances. They did a great job for me. I received a call from this firm just now explaining they were the aftercare team for my recent accident. Asked if they were part of my insurance Company and replied again with we are the aftercare team have you looked into claiming for injuries.
I explained I was not looking at claiming for injuries it is not something I believe in and at this stage I just wanted to arrange for the repairs to my car. The caller continued to press for me to try and make a claim so I said clearly I am not the type of person to make an injury claim I am the type of person who wants to just get her car fixed. to which she stated "to me you sound like the type of person who is at fault" and ended the call.

Zero diligence, zero compassion , zero professionalism
These people have been messing up with me for a month , in particular their so called team leader Naomi Sullivan promissing someone is doing research into my situation and would give me the best possible advice shortly.
That shortly never happened .More than three weeks after I pressed for more details.Naomi didn't bother even to respond.Only got a call today from someone complitely different nearly a month after, telling me to call The Law Society.That is the advice?
All of this despite knowing what terrible conditions I am forced to live in..Do they have conscience at all?

After finding an absolute gem of a Barrister ( Sarah Tyler) to represent me at Court, I walked away with joint custody, something which the children wanted from the start !
We then moved onto the next stage ..The Financial Order, things did not get easier, this was exacerbated by the Solicitor my ex wife had chosen to represent her.
I am happy to say that again with Hannah's expertise and planning, this second stage of the Divorce ended in a fair settlement, one I was happy with.
To say these 3 1/2 years were stressful is an understatement, my mental and Physical Health suffered, I would however hate to think of what could have been, should I have not had Hannah to represent me.
I would like to thank, her not only for her professional services but her humour which kept things real.
Hopefully I will not need her professional services again,( life lesson learnt I think I can say ! )but should anyone find themselves in a position where they need legal help with whatever has gone wrong in their life,I do not think you could do any better than Hannah and her team.
