Call to fund out if a court order has been sent out and be prepared to hear they have a backlog of work. So a order can be sent out 20 odd days after it was issued and for some people it can be critical as a solicitor would need to see what you need to do with any response. Try explaining that to a Judge and be told it is your responsibility to find out from court office. Even if you go in person to talk to the customer set ice desk you will be informed that a new system is in place .You will have to call them by telephone. So you are back to square one ... The implications are life changing for those who may be in a position of loosing everything and it is simply not justice. The victims are the very same people who in fact paying for the people who are supposed to help you .. It is a insult to the integrity of the Public and this post will not prompt any change but it helps to vent the pressure out. Think of honour.. As other people have said if you ever have to ring this court expect to be treated like you are wasting there time. They take forever to answer the phone, give short snappy answers, generally very rude and unhelpful. They will do the least possible work to help you via the phone.

Most departments seem decent but one option seems to think its funny to keep hanging up leaving other deaprtments having to do their job. They must know people will phone back and use a different option. The court itself is pretty good if you're looking to get away with something. They can't really be arsed with things that seem petty. Or maybe the solicitors are just a lot better than the magistrates court. Whatever it is i definitely recommend appealing to he crown court when charged at the magistrates. Security is better than the magistrates too, they leave you alone apart from when they try to help, total opposite to the magistrates.

Generally courts are good places. Security staff are Always polite yet thorough, which is what you want. Court ushers are extremely helpful and polite.
Sadly there seems to be a lack of understanding with regards to equality and human rights as well as magistrates imposing curfews on people that are housebound .. not sure where the logic is there, or why they feel that it is a good way to spend public money.
It's accessable for all people including wheel chairs. They could probably do with more disability friendly chairs, and to be mindful that not all disabilities are visible.
