Awful service. Instructed S&G for conveyancing on our first home in London and have had nothing but trouble from the beginning... No updates, no response, no answer to calls nor emails. Clearly they've been posting a lot of fake positive reviews on here as once you see past them, it seems that a lot of people are experiencing the same as me. Will never use S&G again for anything and I highly recommend people avoid this firm.

I had an ok experience until I was allocated Nicholas Hagi-Savva, he was phenomenal. He was patient, understanding and more thorough than you could imagine.

He never failed to keep me in the loop, ensuring I was always aware of the situation, no matter how small a development. His advice was professional yet personable and he went above and beyond to make sure I was happy.

Without going into painful and personal details regarding the reason I was required to use Slater Gordon in the first place, I would like to write a review on the more relevant aspect of their service.
Sensitivity was given in every way possible. Contact was constant.
No question left unanswered or considered irrelevent.
I dealt with one solicitor to start with and due to circumstances beyond the firms control, my case was handed to another associate. The transition was barely noticeable as the same attention and sensitivity was displayed throughout.
Tenacity is a word that springs to mind with thre way my case was handled and the result a good one, all in a relatively short amount of time considering the work and negotiation involved.
The most important thing of all is that I was made a promise at the start and it was kept.

I cannot express enough how dissapointed I am with the service delivered by Slater and Gordon. I employed their solicitors to conduct a simple transfer of equity on a property. I was quoted a timescale of 4 weeks to completion. 4 weeks into the process and they had not even sent out any paperwork to either party. I had to chase them constantly for anything to be done and there were constant mistakes throughout the process. 10 months later and the transfer is finally complete having found out that they had not even contacted land registry to update the legal records. I have made a formal complaint through the correct channels and they have not even had the courtesy to get back to me. They have caused untold stress and a huge amount of further expense to a process that is difficult enough anyway. I would genuinly consider all other options first before looking at Slater and Gordon as their service and quality of work are beyond poor!

Danielle Parsons supported me with a settlement agreement due to redundancy. Her clear advice / instructions were invaluable throughout the process and with Danielle's guidance, I was able to negotiate a better agreement. From our initial conversation it was clear that Danielle is a subject matter expert in employment and I would recommend her to anyone who is seeking professional legal support in this area.

I was recommended to Slater Gordon Employment department by a friend, as I believed that my work situation might be grounds for constructive dismissal. I was fortunate to have Theo Nicou act on my behalf. Throughout the 10 months or so that it took to resolve the situation, Theo always offered sensible and strategic advice, and was very clear in giving me an assessment as to where we stood at any given time. He was always prompt in his responses and throughout a very difficult time, I felt supported by him and completely trusted his judgement. The final settlement was carefully negotiated by Theo and I am happy with the outcome. I would recommend Theo wholeheartedly to anyone with an employment problem.

Only if there was an option for "ZERO" star then I would have chosen that. It has been a year since the RTA where liability was admitted by the other side within a week yet a report from medical expert has still not been finalised, let alone progressing the case further with the other side. I recommend that people STAY AWAY FROM THESE CONS. Contacted their client care team who are least bothered to deal with my complaint therefore I have now decided to involve the Legal Ombudsman to deal with my complaint. I am utterly disappointed with the level of service received by this firm. I would not even recommend them to my worst enemy. They have a bunch of paralegals who are completely incompetent just like their management.

I called Slater & Gordon for some legal advice- the lady on the phone was very helpful and friendly. She quickly found a solicitor who could represent me called William Gubbins. William is very professional, efficient and helpful. He has definitely exceeded my expectations with his continuous communication and the way I was treated as a client. I had a traumatic accident whilst taking part in an obstacle course, back in 2016. When no other solicitors would take on my case (as I had signed a waiver), Nick at Gordon and Slater took it on. The case took 3 years to conclude as I was still undergoing treatment, but the service I received from Gordon and Slater was nothing short of professional yet empathetic to the trauma I was going through. Absolutely appalling service!! Dreadful! Poor service compounded by being over charged, given misinformation about costs. The solicitor misrepresented our conversations, failed to advise properly, exceeded the costs estimate without discussing with me first in breach of their terms and conditions and then when I raised a formal complaint she responded to it herself in breach of the complaints procedure. I instructed Slater and Gordon to deal with a protracted case and initially received a good service. However my case was then passed internally to a number of lawyers for various staffing reasons, so I became a little concerned and on the verge of instructing a different company.
My case then ended up with Gorkem Ozsoy from the London Branch.
Gorkem quickly took charge of the situation and ensured that he knew of all the facts relating to my case, without further cost to myself.

Well as can be seen by other reviews this company is absolutely terrible I have had a claim going on for the last 2 years and it's still not resolved I constantly ring these at least twice a week and can never speak to anyone about my claim or what is going on I've even raised the issues with the complaints team a number of times and still don't get anywhere.
All I get is told is that I'll receive a call back to which I never do it's always me calling and chasing them.
I would advise to stay clear of Slater And Gordon's and use another solicitor.
I will not ever be using this company and recommend that no one else does.

As others have stated, avoid if you are buying or selling a house. They are slow, inefficient and require constant chasing to get anything done.
I regret not having done my homework and checking the reviews of the firm before instructing them - that s on me.
There are plenty of other firms out there - I suggest choosing any of them over S&G!

Edit after S&G canned response: If only their conveyancing team were as proactive and reactive as whomever monitors these reviews. Turn your attention to doing your job and getting it right in the first place instead of trying to make it look like you care for your outward, public view.
I have now terminated my instruction with S&G after 3 weeks of zero movement and switched mid-purchase to another firm - that is how terrible the S&G service has been. I have also been informed I will receive a full refund without any argument or negotiation - make of that what you will!

The service I received from Slater and Gordan re a Personal Injury claim was completely outstanding throughout. Please do not use this company they repeatedly sent letters to my dad even though he was dead. Requesting he attend a medical the fabricated things we could claim for when they had no intentions of claiming anything but there fee.
They wasted time we had couldn't get medical records we had our claim almost halved they are the biggest bunch of lying con men. A bunch of criminals would treat you with better respect. They lie on lie to cover up there mistakes. They should be charged with misleading innocent people they are a dispicably bunch of devient con men a year and half of our lives being conned.
This company should be legally closed they take venerable people in crisis and degrad them to the point of accepting terrible legal out comes just to stop the mental torturer they put you through.

If you want lies four claim handers minimum who are not even solicitors but Clarke's or legal Secretaries who don't actually know the law.
If you want to be conned then use skater conman Gordon is a lier solicitors or solutions the only solution there interested in is getting a super size fee for conning you into believing there on your side.

By far the worse place i have ever come across, soo soo slow and feed you false information and do not keep you updated with proceedings, a simple rear hit from behind in a car accident and have been waiting nearly 6 months for confirmation of 3rd party acceptance even though i was told they had until 3 months ago to respond as the deadline .. Just shocking how slack it is i am better off doing all the chasing around and the work myself!

I had a fabulous service after an initial hitch with a solicitor who did precious little for a whole year. A complaint led my case to be taken over by Rebecca Gilmore. She was a breath of fresh air, and on the ball from the outset, and soon got the case moving. The case was a difficult one against 4 defendants. Rebecca was always on hand for advice and guidance, was sympathetic to what I had been through, made sure I saw the best experts for medical reports, and secured me a good compensation payout. I had an accident which lead to a claim Salter Gordons were very helpful and made me feel comfortable all through the process and superb legal advice.

In September 2017 I was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma. As this is an asbestos related disease and an industrial injury, I was advised that I should make a claim for damages against my employer. Fortunately, although long retired I had only had one employer during my working life.

My oncologist provided me with a list of suitable solicitors and I chose Slater Gordon Lawyers from that list. Time would show that I had made an excellent choice.

After my initial contact with them my claim was passed to Edmund Young, Head of Industrial Diseases (London). From my first contact with him through to the successful conclusion of my claim he and his team s performance were excellent.

I was constantly kept up to date with the progress of my claim and the resultant investigations necessary to obtain evidence for that claim. Due their diligence my ex employer finally accepted responsibility. I received compensation far in excess of anything I had anticipated but of a level that they fought for me.

I cannot speak more highly of Edmund Young and his team nor of the barristers that were appointed by and supported him.

I took up a case with these a year ago!! October 2019. The last I have heard anything from them was June 2020. I have phoned them 4 times to which I've been told I will get an ungent call back within 48hrs which I have yet to receive. I have emailed my handler for an update and no response and I have also written a formal complaint to them and still haven't had any response. I can't believe it has been over a year and no claim or update available!! Terrible service!

My claim has been going on for a year and a half now and has been passed over to 3 different people. I had been receiving the same letter every other month stating they are have difficulty obtaining my medical records to complete my medical report however when I decide to contact the NHS they tell me that that the medical agency haven't contacted them in 6 months so I have done there job for them and obtained them. I still have not heard from my solicitor and am still waiting for an outcome. I appreciate these things take time but the lack of communication and having all different people taking over my case is appalling. Definitely wouldn't use again.

I spent 4 months for a poisoning food claim with this company.
When the accident happened I call them first and they said I should wait MORE TIME to see the if the health is better or not.
Unfortunately until now this poisoning food influenced the health of my mum.
I call them then a month ago and they took again all the information and were happy to help and I was happy thinking I m in a good hands.

After 3 days , without reasons they just sent an email saying that they can t do nothing.
Now I lost the opportunity to try in another company that could help me: they are saying that it passed too long time.

I wouldn t recommend this company to anyone that has a serious problem and claim to do, and if you have all the documents just go in a better company .

I recently contacted Slater and Gordon about an employment contract issue. Throughout the process I received a fully professional and expert service, giving me the confidence to deal with all related issues and help me make the right decision at the end of the process. I could not recommend Slater and Gordon and Harriet Bowtell who dealt with my issue any more highly.

What a terrible firm! How do they get away with the service they provide? I had to keep chasing them for updates, they don't keep me posted when they do (or when they FAIL to do something) and then if you try to complain they simply ignore your calls and emails until you get tired and move to another provider. Honestly, it is appalling.

I would not recommend Slater Gordon solutions legal company for car insurance claims. I used. The Northern office dealt with my claim.Stick with your own insurance lawyers. These took the equivalent of over 40 % of my claim. They didn't do much for me. I'll Never use them again. The above reviews say it all really. I did use Slater And Gordon so don't be fooled by their response below folks.

I cannot recommend Slater Gordon highly enough, and James Farrell was top notch. My experience with them was one of total professionalism whilst maintaining empathy with me and my family. Everything was completed on time and more that satisfactorily as promised by James. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to my friends and family.
