I purchase an Skyjacker JL36SLSK-SX 3.5-6 inch LeDuc Series Coil-Over Kit for Jeep Wrangler JL for 2018 JL from my local shop which they installed.
This company doesn't know its own product and/or just doesn't care.
Their installation instructions mention nothing about what measurement to set the coilovers for what size lift you want at all & doesn't come pre-set to any size. Being an 3.5 to 6 inch lift it should.
My shop calls them & they say at first they don't know what measurement to set it at. Then the shop called back & pushed them for a measurement. So they said we have it installed on our company jeep and they measured theirs. Well they must have an 3.5" lift because mine came out to be a 3.5" lift when the shop asked them for the 6" measurements. I have contacted Skyjacker twice now and no response at all. This is an expensive lift, not that should matter. I solely purchased this lift because it was a 6" lift & coilovers.
Also the front coilover brackets where made wrong & it took Skyjacker days to get back to the shop on how to remedy the situation. Days extra without your vehicle when it already is a 4 day installation is a real bummer. This lift kit was obviously thrown together without much final research & development.
I have seen reviews that they have great customer service, that must have been way back in the 90s cause they don't at all have it now.
I am counting the days to the next expo near me & I will stand at their booth for at least half a day letting people know not to purchase from them at all. I am not normally like that but we have to start standing up to companies who have horrible service and/or products.
If you want a lift like this go with Evo lift. They atleast will respond back to you and has videos on all their lifts. I am regretting to going with Evo. I chose Skyjacker because it had Fox coliovers which I am accustomed to where as Evo is King coilovers.
Stay away from this company.

Terrible customer service. The guy who answers the phone in the sales department is rude and not helpful at all. I will not use them again. I was told a 2 week delivery on March 1, on March 24 I called back to ask him about my order. He refused to check on my order using my name, he insisted I give hime the order number. Once he found my order he just said yes we have the parts and I will see when we can get them shipped. Please find someone else to answer your phone and help customers.

I have to say I just called your "techinical support" and I would have had better luck going to an Autozone. Every simple question I asked was answered with an "I don't know" and "im not sure." Im about to return everything and go with a different company all together. Along with making it known this is not the company to buy a lift from. I can honestly say I won't ever buy another sky jacket product.

Never received shipping information after a week. Called and found the u bolts where back ordered. Said possibly wouldn't be shipping till the end of march. Just got a call from Fedex that said my order was going to be delivered, got everything I ordered. Just never got the follow up message with shipping.

I will never order anything from this company ever again. I just installed a brand new 2.5 lift on my JL and components are already failing, not enough a month on and hasn t even went off road yet. When I called they advised me it s normal wear and tear, not warranties . They do not stand behind their cheaply made Chinese products, AVOID.

While this isn't all Skyjacker's fault I do have some issues with how things were resolved. I made the mistake of buying a 7000 Series Hydro Steering Damper off of Amazon. It arrived with no bushings in either eyelet of the Damper. I returned it for an exchange and received the same thing as a replacement. No bushings in the eyelets for either product. This is my fault for ordering truck parts from Amazon (don't do it!). I called Skyjacker's customer service number and talked to a gentleman on 11/19/2020 who said he had no idea their products were on Amazon but that they can't be responsible for what happens to their product once it leaves the factory. He did say that he would, one time only, send me the bushings for the eyelets. I was very thankful, gave him my address, and after nearly 3 weeks they had not arrived. I called again on Dec. 9, 2020 and talked to a customer service rep and told them I simply wanted to pay for replacement bushings if they were available to be sold. I couldn't find such things on their website without the customer service rep telling me the part numbers. Neither part number (2) on the site states which end of the Damper the bushings go on and the customer service rep said "..just see which one fits...". Perfect.

I received an email yesterday asking for a review of my experience and, prior to writing this, I went to Skyjacker's website and couldn't find an email address. Only a phone number and physical address. I wanted to tell someone about my experience before posting it publicly however I've spent enough time and money on a $60 part already. It's a great product, I'm sure, and don't buy car parts off of Amazon, but don't expect a lot of help if you need to get ahold of Skyjacker themselves. I'm actually pretty surprised with as seemingly popular as they are in the 4WD community.

Extremely high quality parts. The only reason I didn't rate as a 5 is the lack of instructions. I spent over $1,500 on a 4" lift kit for my early Ford Ranger. The kit contained shocks, drop down radius arm brackets, the optional leaf springs instead of blocks, and optional steering dampner. The least they could do would be to throw a couple sheets of instructions in the box. Without instructions it was hard to determine what hardware goes where and with what parts. I was able to track down instructions from a website called the Ranger Station. They weren't great, but they help. Skyjacker does have videos for installation, just not for my application. With all that being said, I'm extremely excited by this lift kit. I can't emphasize enough how much better the drop down brackets are designed compared to their competition. Very, very heavy duty.

Great customer service and very friendly people! I ran a 6" Skyjacker kit on my 96 f150 and by far was the best company to work through. Great quality and all around my favorite lift kits out there!

We installed the 3 1/2-4 inch black max lift kit. This is by far the best lift kit we have owned and installed. On the road and off road - it handles great! Overall great craftsmanship too.

Bought some Skyjacker Springs for a 2012 Tacoma, customers who are avid hunters. I was hoping that Skyjacker Springs would be tough enough to stand up to our terrain here in Western New Mexico, but less than 6 months after install we had a broken spring. Highly disappointed with their product, this will likely be the last Skyjacker install I will deal with. The dealer was very difficult to deal with, and I've been waiting over 2 weeks for a new spring. If you want to lift your street queen, I'm sure they have a lift available, but if you're going to do some serious wheelin/crawlin/off roadin, I'd choose a different company.

The team at skyjacker helped me find which bushings I needed for leaf springs on a vehicle I had purchased secondhand. There was an error with shipping and they corrected it immediately and was surprised at how fast the item showed up. Would definitely utilize their products again.

Update: I have had the Black Max shocks and Front add-a-leafs installed on my 1997 F250 HD for a few months and the ride is 100% better. Highly recommend this setup for anyone that has the TTB Dana 50 front axle.

My son Joey and I ordered a 4 inch lift kit for a 2009 Chevy Colorado back on January 26th! We ordered through car Id because we were getting other parts as well. The ship date has changed 3 times because skyjacker doesn t have all the parts. As of today, the new date skyjacker gave car id was April 14. 3 months He wanted skyjacker because it is supposed to be quality over the rest, we haven t even had luck getting our order.

I ordered online on a Friday night. Monday morning I had a conformation email letting me know I would be contacted with shipping information when available. Tuesday I received shipping details. The shipping email included excellent details. Separate tracking numbers for each package/box, as well as detailed list of each box. By far the best online purchasing experience.

I haven t received my order yet so I can t rate the quality, however.......I had to call and check on my order after 25 days of waiting. I found out my order hasn t even shipped and probably won t until early March. Apparently they are waiting on the shocks. A quick email to let me know would have been nice or maybe furnish other shocks of equal or better quality. So far I m not all that impressed.
