Took my almost 78 year old father for his 1st jump a few weeks ago. Amazing experience! His instructor, Charles, did a great job explaining everything & making him feel comfortable. Marcus, his tandem partner, made sure Dad had the best experience possible. Charles also did the video & photos, they turned out great! The facility is clean & professional & even the other guests who regularly jump there were friendly & helpful. Just fantastic all around. Thanks all @ Skydive Chicago for making it a great day!

My best friend and I went skydiving for the first time and LOVED it!!!!! The staff all had plenty of experience and knowledge, the equipment was in great condition, they gave instructions clearly and made sure that the outcome was a good one. My best friend and I will absolutely be skydiving with them again in the future. We both highly recommend going. It's something you should experience at least once in your life. It's exhilarating when you're free falling and then the parachute deploys and it's so peaceful and relaxing. You just gently fly around and enjoy the beautiful scenery. It was amazing.
Awesome, awesome, awesome experience! I had my very first tandem jump today and my instructor Christian was super friendly, helpful and informative. He and other staff kept it light and funny yet professional. I like that when it came to the important stuff (like fitting the harness), he seemed to take extra care to fit it properly and check his work. Free fall was amazing, canopy ride and landing were great. I spent the rest of the day thinking about it all. I'll definitely be back for more!
I made my first tandem jump the other day and it was the best experience I've ever had! I jumped with Christian Cody and he did a great job talking me through what to expect and how to prepare for the jump. No complaints at all, everyone was very professional and I never second guessed the equipment. I would recommend this to anyone and I'll definitely be going back!

Ryan was absolutely incredible in every single way. I didn't know I was going skydiving until my sister and her fiance told me in the car on the way there (surprise birthday gift) and I was in complete shock. Being terrified of heights and never planning on going skydiving in my life, I was scared out of my mind. Ryan's personality, expertise and all around positive attitude really helped me feel comfortable and be courageous. He made sure to walk through exactly what was happening at all times and was so encouraging, all the way up...and all the way down.

I took my Grandson for his first jump and the experience was outstanding! The instructors were extremely professional and friendly. Chad was my instructor and I can t imagine anyone being better, but my Grandson said his instructor was great too. The video we purchased was definitely worth it.
I went through Skydive Chicago's AFP program to learn how to skydive. It is a great place where you can go to either do a tandem skydive or learn how to skydive on your own. The program doesn't take much time and you know what sort of commitment you are getting into right at start.
All the instructors worked with me in a personalized way and helped me get over the fear I had while doing such an intense sport. On my first non-tandem jump, the instructor took extra time to make sure everything was setup as best as possible before we left the plane so my first solo landing was stress-free.
The community is also great, with many nights around campfires and a monthly cookout for everyone to socialize at. And during the day there are people who specifically work with newer jumpers so you don't feel left behind or overwhelmed.
Skydiving isn't just for young athletes; it for everyone of almost any age 18-80+. I highly recommend going there for a tandem, or even just a visit!
I love this place. The people were funny, patient and informative. My instructor, Robert Stack, was amazing and quite a goof which I liked. He explained and guided my thoroughly. For it being my first tandem jump, I felt very safe and secure being with a stranger 13,500 ft. in the air. Great job, I will be back

Did My second Tandem with chad a few months ago and he did an amazing job going over all the steps we were going to perform.Im not sure who gave the pre jump speech and did my video but he was just as awesome. What an amazing experience!! Do not miss an opportunity to skydive at the best place around. From registration through getting my certificate, the staff was helpful, calming, informative, and funny! I loved that an informative class was part of the training before throwing me out of a plane. The repetition of skills to prep for the jump was helpful to keep me focused. I love that they allow you as much interaction as you like during your jump. I'm excited for my next jump at Skydive Chicago.
Easy to find location, friendly staff, and overall such a great experience (I ve gone twice now).
You need a LOT of patience if it s your first time. Expect to be there for a few hours as you will need to complete waivers, rewatch the safety video, pay and then wait for the actual departure time. Our booking was for 10am and we didn t actually get to skydive until 2/3pm. Weather permitting and depending on how many other divers there are.
If it s your first time I highly recommend getting the full video package as you WILL forget the experience since everything happens so quickly.

I went on a tandem jump with Christian Cody and it was a great first experience. You could tell he was making sure he was going through all the safety procedures and still able to make it fun at the same time. I would recommend anyone that come here to jump to see Christian for sure.

I just went skydiving for the first time with my cousins for their 21st birthday, and our experience was amazing! We each did the professional photography package. All of our instructors were extremely friendly, funny, helpful, and professional. They did an amazing job not only preparing and training us for the jump, but making our safety their main priority. The professional video/photo package is a bit expensive, but it is so worth it! You essentially have your own personal paparazzi, with tons of candid and planned photos before, during, and after the jump. Skydiving itself was amazing, there is no feeling like it. If you re looking for an enjoyable & safe first time skydiving, Skydive Chicago is definitely the way to go!

Awesome experience! Safety is #1 priority for Skydive Chicago, not only in the skydive but also in regards to safety with COVID-19. Health checks are done every time by every person every day including temperatures and masks written throughout the experience. We were rescheduled twice and there was no difference between procedures done on day 1 vs. day 2 vs. day 3. Consistency is key and Skydive Chicago is a class act in all they do! Keep up the great work! I will return!!

Had a FANTASTIC time at skydive chicago last weekend. It s been on my Life Experience list for awhile. Few things I enjoyed about this place: First and foremost, my tandem master Tim Koeppen. Over 9000 jumps this guys has done. He was awesome, patient and just an all around good guy. If I went again, I d request him. They have a huge facility, built just for skydiving. Indoor and outdoor space. I d recommend making a day of it and bringing a small grill to make lunch. all the staff was really positive despite weather delays for our jump group. This definitely made us feel at home and unstressed.
If you are looking to go skydiving in the Midwest - I d recommend going here. The experience really exceeded my expectations.

Chad was awesome. Lol especially since it was his first dive too! He was so funny. Made the experience even better. Kept me involved with the experience because when I was free falling, I was immersed in the moment that I wasn t thinking. He reminded me to release my chute, which I did because I feel like it was part of the experience. I ve had some friends do it before and they said they d forget so the tandem divers pull it for you. So I really appreciated that I was able to do it myself. The pictures and video were amazing/great quality! Ron the videographer was great! Totally reliving the moment every time I look at them. All I can say is, I already signed up for another dive and Chad better be there!

Great experience. Great facility, Great instructor. I'd give it 5 stars except for one thing. They offer a discount for the next jump if you book within a week. If you book that day, you get another $10 off. Unfortunately, we couldn't get in the door it was so crowded. The girl there just told us to call in later and ask about it. Of course it was busy and noone answered. We didn't get home until late and when I called the next day, I was told I could have emailed it in. So, no $10 discount for me. I know it's only $10, but it's aggravating.
My 1st tandem jump occurred on July 4 it was the greatest experience of my life. My instructor Christian Cody was awesome! His detailed description about what would happen in the air made me feel at ease and ready to have good time. The video and selfie photos were hilarious and entertaining. I would definitely recommend Skydive Chicago to anyone looking for the thrill of flying high!
Where to begin. This was the greatest experience of my LIFE!! From the time we checked in, to the time we landed on the ground this was INCREDIBLE. The training video and class was fun, full of information and just cool to be apart of. We had a very short wait time as weather passed through, but the 5 stars has to go to the instructor Dan. He made sure I felt secure, and safe in my harness, made sure I understood all of the commands and gear while up in the air. He even eased the anxiety or jumping with some comic relief. I d give Dan and Skydive Chicago more stars if I could! Thanks for an AMAZING experience Dan!

Sky Dive Chicago was amazing . Dan Baltazar was my tandem instructor on May 11th, 2019 and made the entire morning amazing ! He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and funny . Dan performed all of his safety checks and explained each time what he was doing which truly added to the comfort of knowing i was in good hands . The entire process was exhilarating , utterly amazing and yet extremely peaceful at the same time . Went to skydive Chicago for the very first time. I went with a group of 4 people in total. we had an awesome experience with the instructors and the jump! I went skydiving for the first time this weekend and it was truly an amazing experience at Skydive Chicago! This was the third time we scheduled, because of the weather IL has been having. It was worth the wait! Our time was for 9:30 on a Friday. By the time we checked in and put our belongings back in our way, we were already being called to meet with our instructors. I was paired with Marcus and I couldn t have had a better experience. He made sure I knew everything that was happening. He walked me through everything on the way up, and even on the way down. I felt extremely comfortable and safe. Skydiving was truly an AWESOME experience and I can t wait to go again!!
Everything from check-in to landing was perfect. Everyone is so helpful, energetic, and all around great people. I got paired up with Vince and he was amazing. He made me feel relaxed and I trusted him to get us down safely. The camera guy was also very nice. His energetic nature hyped me up and my video came out great. My friends and I had a great time and we will definitely be going back again.

SDC is amazing! Went here for a birthday jump and our entire group had a blast. Went back to do another tandem jump and had even more fun. Staff is awesome, food is great and atmosphere is fun. Can't wait to start taking the classes and really overcome one of my biggest fears! I would recommend making a weekend out of it and camp there as well as do multiple jumps if you have the time and money.
Once you do your first jump, you will want to go right back up again!
Getting ready- IT S TIME! It was about 30 minutes out till our jump so they started to get us in our harnesses. This is when I met my amazing instructor Amanda!! I felt comforted from the second we met. She was full of warm energy, outgoing, and very informative about any questions I had. I also met my videographer at this time! Ron was awesome!! He was also full of energy and really positive. I felt really comfortable in front of the camera with him. He got some before shots of how I was feeling (THE NERVES) and us getting in all of our gear. I strongly strongly recommend getting a videographer/photos for your first jump because your adrenaline is pumping so high you almost can t believe the experience just happened when it s over. I was so happy we paid the extra amount for this so I could relive the experience. I ve watched the video at least 50 times already.
THE JUMP- OMG!!! Once the plane lifted off the ground I knew that this was it. It s happening. I am literally going to jump out of a plane in a few minutes. The plan ride up was the biggest height of my nerves. It was pretty toasty in the plane because it was 90 degrees out but once we hit a few thousand feet they opened the door for some airflow. That moment sunk my stomach a little because the whole experience set into reality. I watched my altimeter rise and wait until we were at 13,000 ft to jump. During the wait, Amanda kindly went over the body positioning again and the steps for me to remember when we jumped. She also clipped me to her at this time at four different points. She mentioned if I forget anything we talked about remember to: tilt my headlock, arch my body, and SMILE! There were 4 professionals in front of us and once we hit about 13,000 ft the door opened and out they flew. I didn t even have a chance to let the nerves sit because I was the first of our group to jump. We scooted to the edge of the plane, I dangled my legs out, cupped the edge of the plane with my legs, titled my head back on my instructor s right shoulder and OFF WE WENT! AHHH! My stomach dropped 1000x more than what it did on any roller coaster. I was flying! The adrenaline rush and this stomach drop was incomparable to anything I ve ever felt in my entire life. I was literally FLYING. I almost forgot to look at Ron for the video because I was so consumed by the feeling of flying and the world underneath me. It was the fastest, most exhilarating minute of my life! Once the chute was pulled, we coasted through the air for what seemed to be ten minutes. Amanda and I were a light weight combined so it took us longer to float down. Those minutes were the most peaceful moments I ve had. We were talking about how amazing heaven would be like if it was anything like this. It was so easy to hear Amanda during this descend so we just chatted away and enjoyed the scenery until we landed. Amanda guided a calm and collected landing. I held my legs out straight and we landed so calmly I gently put my feet down and I was standing on the grass. Ron did a great job of again capturing my emotions the entire time and checking in with how I was feeling throughout the experience.
Post jump- The video was also available within 15 minutes after the jump and all the files are downloadable through their link! Overall, if you have the urge, choose Skydive Chicago!!
Awesome experience! Definitely recommend skydiving at least once, I m definitely going back! All the staff was super friendly, and they have games and a place to eat while waiting to get called for your dive. My instructor Marcus was great; highly recommend him. He ensured that i was comfortable from the moment we entered the plane to the second we landed.

Skydive Chicago made this, hands down the best experience of my life! I was super skeptical about doing such a high risk activity! But everyone made me feel so comfortable! The guys I jumped with were so experienced and talked me through everything! Everyone could tell how nervous I was. Even the guys who were jumping alone that took the plane up with us, and they all gave me an encouraging nod. After we landed there wasnt a face NOT wearing a smile! I was met with congratulations and "at'ta girl's" and that is when I realized this isnt just a high risk activity for adrenaline junkies, this is a community that welcomes you with open arms, because the feeling they get to experience is truly remarkable and they are gracious enough to want to share it with everyone!

I have been skydiving at Skydive Chicago for 3 years now. I have visited many other facilities, both in the Chicagoland area and other states. All I can say is that there is no place that even comes close to being as good as SDC. Friendly staff, well maintained gear and airplanes, experienced jumpers, and outstanding facilities. I would personally not go anywhere else if it wasn't for the off-season. And people who actually understand skydiving would be wrong to not question the safety record, it's a risky activity. But the incidents that occurred were do to Experienced Jumpers pushing the envelope and trying to advance the sport, not new jumpers going on their initial skydives. Anyway.... IF you're looking to do your first jump or have 1000s under your belt, I would personally recommend Skydive Chicago.
I had the greatest time! My instructor Jonny was an absolute legend who took me on the craziest rollercoaster and taught me so much. I can not wait to go again!!
I don't mind putting reviews on the walls inside the hangar... but how many businesses can get away with that honestly. It's not like we're selling Jurassic Park. My only complaint is that it's 2020, and my pictures and videos are not in 4k. If i post these pictures online, they're gonna look pixelated on most monitors given the native resolution of retina displays. Do the business a huge favor and at least give people a 1080p wallpaper.
