I am really disappointed to give this rating because this was the only course that I played back in the early 2000s when I lived in Charlotte. Drove down from W-S with good expectations and this place is struggling. For $48, no way. If you play, hit it in the rough - no grass in the fairway.

Awesome place with the nicest staff.

Golf was good the course is a good test for all golfers and the greens were in great shape.

Would play again with no worries about if I was going to have a good experience - I know I will

Played the course on 6/30 and it was in great shape. The fairways were maintained and the greens rolled very well. The only downside which keeps me from giving a 5 star rating are the bunkers. The sand (or lack thereof) in the bunkers are horrible. It's like hitting off concrete. Hopefully they will get the bunkers straightened out. That being said, I will definitely play the course in the future.

Played this course a few months ago and it was in great shape. Just played it again yesterday and was extremely disappointed. The greens were horrible. They looked diseased and dead. Fairways were in good condition. $39 to play during the week with lunch included is reasonable, but I will not play there again until the greens and sandtraps are fixed.

I had avoided this course because of its sullied reputation, but I gave it a try on 8/17/15. It was apparently mismanaged for a number of years, but is now under new management.

The course layout is spectacular with surprisingly steep hills and valleys. Take a club or sometimes two extra clubs on those elevated green shots.

There are a few bare spots in the fairways like many of the courses in the area due to winter kill and drought, but it did not affect my enjoyment. One green was in bad shape, but most of the rest rolled nicely.

If conditions continue to improve, this will once again be a top notch course.

Worth playing especially if you can get a deal.

Course was in good shape. Course has many many many elevated greens, so balls won't be rolling on. Also there are a lot of tight lies around the greens, so chipping needs to be done well.

Horrible condition. Grass too tall and in areas where it was mowed it was too thick to play or find your ball. Greens were pitted like a war zone, bunkers were full of mud and stones... not worth the +$40 to play.

The staff at Skybrook Golf Club are kind, courteous and so helpful. The staff, including Bill and Mike, as well as the starters, are friendly and very attentive to the needs of their players. The entire team at Skybrook goes way beyond expectations to ensure we had the best possible experience. I'd highly recommend Skybrook Golf Club, simply based on the great team they have working for them. Excellent job!

This is the worst golf coarse to go to. Tried it twice. Snack bar food is limited and you'll be belching up all day and &$$$$$$$$$. I don't think the health dept has eaten here. Bathrooms out of towels. Coarse is poorly groomed and well just go somewhere else. One area looks like brush fire happened on one side of coarse. Will never go thru a residential neighborhood to get to a swampland golfcoarse again!itself is the worst.

Booked a tee time on Golf Now. Was greeted by the GM Mike in the pro shop. Class act. Had some time so we decided To grab a bite to eat in their snack bar. Had the pleasure of talking with the bar manager ( big guy from NY ) and he made us the best lunch we could have asked for. Couldnt say more about the staff. Friendliest course ive been to in quite some time. Ill definitely will be back. Courses layout was spectacular and the greens were in good shape for this time of year.

Fun challenging course.. rough is extreemly high and difficult, causing us to lose balls we normally would have been able to find, but course was fun and affordable on a Fall afternoon.

Had the course to ourselves after a rain and cart paths only. This course is not for the faint of heart, or if you didn't bring your game. Bent grass greens that roll very well. One of the few places around that haven't lost them because of the heat.

Pricey

Skybrook is back! Back to one of the premier pay for play facilities in the Greater Charlotte area and improving everyday! The new Skytop Grill is fantastic from an after round beverage to a family dinner. The new greens are incredible and despite all the rain lately the course is extremely playable. I would give more stars if I could!

First time playing Skybrook and found it to be an interesting layout. The course was in good condition almost everywhere. There were a few holes where it appears that they have trouble keeping the grass growing (e.g., #8). Reasonable rates and friendly and helpful staff.

Main complaint: It was a hot day and none of the water stations had more than a dribble of water in them (until we got to #17, which by then was almost too late). Also, a couple of the garbage cans on the course had trash overflowing onto the ground (e.g., #11). Both of these are easy fixes - and only mildly detracted from my overall impression of the course. That is, the golf was good so I'd play there again.

Overall, it was a good experience. All staff were very courteous and helpful. The fairways, tee boxes, and roughs were all great and well maintained. The greens had a lot of ball divots and bald spots.....more than we anticipated but appear to be easily corrected with a little TLC. Otherwise, no complaints...it was a fun course with lots of elevation changes and we will definitely play there again!

First time I have played in a very long time. The course has maturrd into an unbelievable course. The staff took great care of us. The condition on the golf course was country club condition. Lush fairway, greens were very true and quick. If you haven't played it before or played over fifteen years ago you definitely should

Renovations to both the course and clubhouse at Skybrook are tremendous. The new greens roll very true. Fairways are in excellent shape. Bunkers have a lot of new sand in them. Staff is friendly and attentive. Definitely back in my playing rotation.

A friend and I played this course over the weekend. To be honest, it looked nice from the outside, but for a $30 green free, I was genuinely disappointed by a play-ability of the course. For instance, the rough on either side of most fairways was so thick and tall that if you didn't hit your tee shot into the fairway, there was a good chance you would not be able to find your ball in the rough on any hole. I shuffled my feet through some rough close to the tee box on hole 10 and found at least 3 golf balls that were impossible to see otherwise. Many of the fairways were also covered with what looked like bird droppings and what we could only assume were clods of cut grass. I think we took the biggest issue with the condition of the greens. Nearly all of the greens were more dirt than they were grass; causing the greens to play surprisingly fast, only for the ball to come to a standstill when it hit what was essentially mud. That being said, I do not want to sling mug or besmirch the name of this course. I simply want to express my displeasure with the state of the grounds and the seemingly high price that I paid for a round of golf on a course in such a shape that day.

The location is nice and quaint, and the service was good but the food can be improved. It's alright for a quick bite, but nothing to write home about. Trivia night on Friday night was difficult but fun.

Pro shop: Stay on the path.

Wet conditions (obviously). Driving range was closed. Price was reasonable. Clubhouse was nice. Navigating through housing development.

When this course first opened, I really didn't like it, but over the years, they have put money into it - and last fall, they installed awesome new greens, and now I really enjoy it! Fairways and greens are excellent, the layout is really well done, and the pace of play is pretty solid... Runs $61 for 18 and a cart, and is very hilly if you choose to walk...
