Captain Karen was amazing! The experience we had was so personal. We saw spotted eagle rays, dolphins, lobsters, tarpon, parrot fish and more! It was truly incredible and relaxing. We never felt rushed throughout the experience and she was very knowlegble about the area showing us where to snorkel to find the coolest spots. Five stars all day. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting key west.

Captain Karen was amazing. My best friend and I booked her for a private charter to snorkel, swim and finish with an amazing sunset. She did not disappoint! We went to a pocket reef for snorkeling, Woman Key for turquoise waters, white sands and swimming, found a family of dolphins and enjoyed the sunset. It was a truly intimate experience and Captain K was like hanging with one of our best friends. I will only ever book her for my yearly visits from now on! Thank you Karen!
My mother passed away earlier this year. She and my dad, who had been married just shy of 57 years, had a pact that when one of them passed, the surviving spouse would sprinkle the deceased's ashes in Key West, a vacation spot that they cherished going to together for 25 years. My 81 year old father was hell bent on going by himself to honor my mother's wishes. My siblings and I were very uneasy with him making this trip by himself and his plans of "finding" someone to take him out into the ocean. We had no idea there were actually reputable outlets who assist with this endeavor.
So imagine how pleased we were to find not only a reputable person, but a professional, kind and compassionate angel in the form of Captain Karen. I felt at ease from the first moment I spoke to her. She was very empathetic to our situation and promised to take really good care of my dad, which she did. She was very accommodating with the arrangements, read the prayers and poems we sent along, and even picked some flowers to release with my mother's remains.
My dad is wracked with grief over the loss of "the love of his life," but he said that Captain Karen made the process so much easier than it would have been without her. She even drove my dad back to his hotel after they were done and then sent me an e-mail to let me know how things went and to assure me that he was okay. Who does that?!!
Captain Karen was so kind and authentic, I have to suspect she demonstrates that type of consideration and care to all of her customers. Sometimes you just come across someone who restores your faith in humanity... I've never been to Key West before, but I sure hope I get there some day so I can thank her in person.

Had an amazing experience with my girlfriend. We saw so many sea creatures and dolphins. Capt. Karen really tried her best to give us an amazing and romantic time. We will be coming back to her.

Our trip with Captain Karen was all that we hoped for. Captain Karen was knowledgeable, accommodating and welcoming. She was able to cater a trip that fit exactly what we were looking for. Karen was fun to talk with and was great company on the boat. Can't wait to get out on the water with her again.
My husband and I took a snorkel and fishing trip with Captain Karen on 9/1/2020 and it was absolutely amazing! Karen was extremely knowledgeable and fun to hang out with. She did everything possible to make our trip special and memorable. We caught lots of snapper, a grunt, a jack and a few other kinds of fish. We snorkeled at two locations and Karen kept pointing out lots of things we would have missed. We were able to see some of the largest stingrays I ve ever seen and even a huge nurse shark. We visited Hemingway s platform, saw cormorants and magnificent frigate birds. It was the hands down the best private charter we ve ever done and I assure you worth every penny. If you can only do one thing in Key West I highly recommend giving Captain Karen at Venus Charters a call!
