Great place to do research, single room accommodation for every student (currently 1st year and 2nd year have to double up, as management has not got permission to build more hostels, it will be resolved soon), clean and beautiful campus, faculty are very approachable and helpful, and so are the seniors. IISERM library has a good collection of books and published researches.

State of the art institute, opened in 2009. Govt funded just like IITs. Very hard to get the admission though.

Great Infrastructure, it's a mini society, you get everything inside the campus don't need to visit any other market. Located in a good area, Chandigarh is nearby so you have options of shopping or movies. Rest education and research are a 9/10.

Decent collection of books, spacious and comfortable sitting arrangements with fast WiFi access - these pretty much sums it up.

Campus have well maintained plantation in all corners. All block whether academic or residential are separated from each so looks cool from outside. X Student generally used bicycle to reach various parts of campus. It also have various shops and eatery. Sports ground is maintained so well. Given in to the consideration that this campus is operational From year 2006, these buildings are no not so much eco-friendly like lecture hall and many rooms in hostel need light in daytime. Management have see the work on small finishing parts of campus like electric switches in room and tiles fitting in bathroom. Common toilets are not cleaned in hostels. Hostel rooms are very small. requesting Students to review about academic culture and quality of institute. This will help others to choose it for their study.

Great Infra , Awesome Professors but the Student intellect level is not what you would expect from an INDIAN institutes point of view. Sad to see many students just wasting away such great resources being provided to them at almost 0 cost.

Bt hostel rooms r little bit small

IISER, Mohali is among the top education and research institutes in the country. This institute is amongst other IISERs in Pune, Bhopal, Kolkata, Behrampur etc. and was developed as a clone of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore to promote education and research in pure sciences. After nearly 10 years of their establishment, these institutions have proved their worth and will be a viable replacement to the conventional university system in the long run.

Among the top rated institutions with world class facilities. Very well educated staff. This institution carves the students really very well. Diverse subjects for tye students to explore and infrastructure is also very good. A balance of sports and academics.

iisher k security guard bahut hi bekar hain .......... apni duty sahi se nhi nibhate ...... velle baithe hote hai ....... jb bhi vaha koi food lekar jata hai to security guard apni duty krne k bjey delivery boy se entry krne ko kehte hai ...... khud free baithe hote hai ........... entry krne ki duty security guard ki hoti hai naa ki humari. ....... agr isi tra vo duty krte rahenge to kbi na kbi koi galat entry krke chala jayega ......... aur fr koi acccident k baad kon zimevar hoga ....... unse achhe to ISb wale hai jo duty achhe nibhate hai ....... vo to baith k salary lete hai ..... so i am not happy for security guard's duty ...... so plz change management

IISER MOHALI is a nice place to do Science. I studied MS in chemical science. It provides a great research training in science. But somewhere I felt that it lacks focus on education, I mean some of the professors here are more concerned on the research but they put less efforts on teaching. But the place is great if you are hard working and dedicated to pursue research. Campus life is good, you get a scholarship and the fees is quite low. The hostels are great and the environment is motivational. If you get selected for it, you must join it.

I study here,this place is really wonderful has a lot of resources.

Amazing atmosphere... importance is given to all round development of the srudents. Absolutely no ragging... very approachable faculty.. easygoing and fun

Great infrastructure.
Library at IISER Mohali is eight floored, with three among eight devoted to atmost two disciplines of science.
Eighth floor is for 'pleasure reading'.
Membership is usually restricted to students or members of IISER community.
But, visitors are allowed to have a tour inside library.
Library's website will help us to find the exact position(floor, shelf,column number) where book of interest is.

Came here for Int. Ph.D interview. Hard to rate an institution like IISER just on an outlook. The professor's were very helpful although compared to a lot of other IIT's campus seemed a bit congested.
